Wife found young cat in drain at work. She took it home. A few weeks ago she got underneath vehicle and jumped down while we were driving down the street. She had her tail and rear end run over. We took her to the vet, she was bleeding heavy. They patched her up and gave her meds, sent her home and said see if she makes it. Thankfully she is making a recovery, but she is not able to lift her tail or control her bladder or ****. Wife searched online, found mostly dog diapers, but came across this site. We ordered 2ea. 3 packs after measuring cat. Package arrived quickly, and diapers looked high quality. Unfortunately we tried multiple times and ways to get diaper on. We did not have any problem getting over tail its when we tried around legs, either picking her up or trying upright. Wife and son tried to hold while I attempted to put on multiple times. All I can say is the diaper does a good job of holding my blood. We finally gave up after about the 10th time. Maybe our cat is a wild one, but she was having no part of this. I thought that since she was injured we would have no problems. Also tried when she was sleepy. I think I need to search for a cat diaper holding pen! Anyway I've got an unopened 3 pack and an opened unused 3 pack that is sitting on my table. I'm glad cat is alive, but these diapers are not for her.George P.
I bought small for my mini dachshund and medium for my beagle. Both were perfect fit. I found they are great for occasional incontinence but they wet through quickly and sag, making them very easy to slip out of. Daisy, our 16 year old beagle, wrestled her way out of them repeatedly. After some trial and error, we found the perfect solution. We use Poise pads inside the diaper (disposable pads used for human incontinency issues) and mitten clips to attach them to her harness! We absolutely LOVE the Belly Bands! My 12.5 yo boy was peeing on the floor in the kitchen during the night and it made me crazy! I was about ready to start crating him at night, like I did when he was a puppy and house training. I have a senior dog who is incontinent. These pads work! I purchased two so that I could wash one while using the other. I read the reviews before purchasing and the only negative that I could see fell to the user. Read the washing instructions which clearly state, 'Do not use fabric softener'. I do prefer to air dry but as this is not always possible, drying them on a 'LOW', delicate cycle, also works. These are money saving and much easier to use than the disposable pads.dawglady

My 15 year old shih tzu has just had enough of that "outside" thing. And I've had enough of disposable pads, and her tendency to use them with her front feet on, back feet off, leading to *** all UNDER the disposable pad rather than on it. Or to *** on the carpet nearby instead of the puppy pad. These washable pads seem to be EXACTLY the compromise we needed. Nice and stable – no slipping! – for her feet like the carpet, but easy to pick up and throw in the wash. And she doesn't confuse them with the carpet either – she knows THIS is her spot, she's allowed to *** here. It did take a few days to adjust from being carried to an outdoor dog park at the apartment to using these indoor ***** pads. First, to find the right place to put them, then to convince her that she was allowed to *** AND **** on them (she prefers different spots, apparently, for #1 and #2), but she's got it down now and has re-earned her right to roam freely. After a day or a day and a half of use, they can get a bit smelly (maybe 3-4 pees), but the ability to quickly throw in the wash, and the GLORY of not having to mop underneath them every time, makes it very doable. I just ordered a couple more, so that I can always have a couple in the wash and a couple out. One happy dog, one happy human.
I've purchased a number of types over the years, but was disappointed as they were all heavy, wrinkle terribly, got curly or lumpy or frayed. I initially tried the disposable nappies (see review on those) which were unsuccessful, as too small. So, reluctantly due to cost, ended up buying these (also disposables not stocked in shop where I purchased this). I decided to go for a XL & L. They were for doubly incontinent male 14 1/2yr greyhound with 17" waist. I found the XL fitted very well because they do actually go as small as 15 1/2" waist (39.2cm) because of the velcro adjustment on the waist -even though packaging says suits waist 22-35". So, as long as the nappy itself is long enough end to end it can actually work for male dogs also. Also used ladies tena pads inside for extra absorbency, as they don't hold as much as you would hope! Below are my measurements of both nappy sizes I tried XL overall length 20 1/2 " (52cm) un-stretched, min waist 15 1/2" (39.2cm) -done up & measured internally L overall length 17 "(43cm) un-stretched, min waist 14 1/2"(36.8cm) – done up & measured internally. I have also washed them by hand and in machine, dried on radiator and even in tumble dryer. They have washed and dried well. They do dry fairly quickly on rads, even if been hand-washed. On the packaging it recommends to measure the waist of your dog before purchasing. I bought it before doing that and it was too small. Luckily I was able to exchange it after properly measuring her. This is fantastic!!!! We have one of our cats who is unable to jump into the litterbox due to her age. the disposable pads are very expensive and end up in a landfill. This is definitely a "lightweight" puppy pad. I've found that it does not absorb as well as the heavier weight brands I have purchased in the past. One or two uses by my 6 pound dog and it looks "soaked" and ready to go in the washing machine. I think I'll stick to the heavier weight pads that I've purchased from pet centers. The price of this one is definitely a plus, but you will wash it a lot more, so it's not a bargain.pattideew

The product is basically as it is described. My puppy is a little rambunctious, so she wouldn't stop pulling them around and trying to eat the grass off. She is 4 months old and very energetic. She was initially trained on potty pads, but we were looking for a segue into training her to go outside. It didn't really work for us. I know nothing about dog training, but I would recommend starting a puppy on them day 1. Good product though. I'll be looking for alternative uses.crishep_7
I ordered a LARGE for my PUGGLE and he barely can fit on it. Definitely not even close to true to size. And since i've started using this the scent of urine has been obnoxious and potent and i clean it daily with pet lysol spray and hot water. This is a purchase that I can conclude as a lesson learnt. I purchased this product because it was smaller than my other pet unit which allowed it for portability when traveling. The turf itself is okay quality, easy to clean and drains correctly. However, the middle draining tray is not designed at all to work at all. The urine just collects on top of the drain tray because the holes and bumps aren't in a functional area and it barely drains to the lower tray. It is made from a texture that soaks up the urine instead of allowing it to flow off and threw, therefore it collects oder, collects urine that won't wash/scrub off, it can't be cleaned properly and all that waste causes the material to break down. When I say break down, I mean in ever sense. It starts to break off in pieces. Every time I clean the product, more peices fall off and it gets smaller and smaller. Basically, this product does not work. I learned that I should stick with what works and not take chances of cheaper off brand products. Even though the size of my other potty unit is less portable, it actually works! (If it's okay to say, I only trust the AKC Official Potty Patch, which is superior in every way to this product.)HeathersLasVegas

While I think these pads are great, and have bought them often in the past, the huge recent jump in price (nearly $15 where I am) has forced me, on my fixed budget, to look elsewhere. Whatever has changed in them, it has also become easier for the dogs to bunch, fold and rip them when walking across them (these are little dogs too, under 15lbs). but they are very absorbent and thin which eliminates extra packaging and storage issues.
