(Other groomer had a different oatmeal shampoo she carried… this groomer buys one kind in bulk and special shampoos can be brought in) He did well in terms of the new groomer and this shampoo had NO adverse reactions to the most sensitive poodle of the 4 I've had! I am sure this shampoo would of been nice but the whole order and exsperience with this company was ruined when they shipped my several bottles of shampoo in with treats made from intestines of buffalo that smell like fecal material so strongly it permeates the plastic shampoo bottles. I still can't get the bottles of shampoo I ordered to release the poop smell that premeditated the plastic bottles. So disappointed they where mailed together in same pouch! Very best natural shampoo on the market. My little morky is allergic to flea bites and if even one gets on her she will start scratching and all her hair starts falling out yntil we do something to get them off her which is usually a pill and a good bath to clean off the eggs this shampoo does exactly what its advertised to do and I hope they never stop making it. Picture shown does not match description. I'm looking for an anti-itch spray. Bottle shows some sort of pills to calm your dogs allergy. Not sure why you don't have some sort of basic hydrocortisone spray for "hot-spot" or other itches. It works great and is inexpensive to buy.biff

My lab had hot spots recently. I bought this product and applied it to the affected area in addition to the antibiotic cream given by the vet. I just want to share our experience with the Veterinarian formula clinically care Dog shampoo. I just moved into this apartment complex Jun 2019 and on June 26 2020 picture one. We had a opportunity to rescue this beautiful black dog with some white under her neck (red when we got her because of the leash the lady had on her was twice the size she should’ve had and it rubbed her neck raw where she tied her outside). So as soon as we seen her we knew we wanted to bring her to our loving home where I share my home with my fiancé and 3 children. The ages 12,15,&18. So that day we brought her home and because she was tied outside a lot so with that . We immediately gave her a flea and tick bath and used Walmart brand flea and tick repellent. For her to wear around her neck (Now think about it … her life has completely changed at this point and she was loving it)Then we allowed her to roam the house and to find her spots. All she came with was a cage for her size a bag of Ol Roy and a 2 way oversized hoodies. The lady said here is her food and she’s uses the bathroom outside (obviously) and I asked how will she tell me she has to go? She said not to worry she’ll let ya know then she laughed…. Since having her home after a few hrs she started to warm up us… trusting us. She came with dog food she refused to eat!! Absolutely refused so we got her kibbles and bits and she loves it!! She was wagging her tail with enjoyment and happiness! So I figured she was ok with us. As far as her activity she was active she wasn’t showing a bit of grieving one bit as far as we could tell. (However, with going to the bathroom situation she was horrible at first peed everywhere and pooped behind couches and such but I’ve converted over to puppy pads.) THAT WAS A JOB! yay! Then over a few weeks I noticed her itching and scratching and over the weeks progressively gotten worse… The second Picture (Waiting at the Vets in the floor of the car) I took her to the Vet see if it’s allergies,nerves, etc . Because it started out of no where with no warning signs other then the scratching and scratching so he prescribed a steriod to take at home and a shot of steroids an with giving her those it chilled her down from scratching as much as she was and seemed to be helping but the after a few months she has now gotten even worse than she was she was bleeding all over!! The third picture is her second time to the vet trying to get more information and help not a lot was given but he did say he believes it may be a a airborne allgrine and she would need a shot every 6-8wks she is clothed we couldn’t bare showing how her skin looked was awful (winter she was bare skin with several abrasions where she begun biting herself )😭😭 so after that visit I researched Amazon for help researched google and ran across this shampoo and God am I so ever glad because after a few washes here she is today looks sooo shiny she now looks like picture number 4&5 !!!! Adopted a pocket bully from a lady 2 weeks ago and noticed he had what she called 'hotspots' ALL OVER him. We felt so bad and wanted to do something quick but wasn't sure wat it was exactly that he was enduring. So we picked up coconut oil and fish oil pills to start him on for his coat and skin. Well as healed within a week but noticed REALLY inflamed and almost bleeding rashes on back of his neck and knew we had to do something. Went to Walmart today and found this stuff because we came to the conclusion it has to be se type of skin condition dermititis or parasitic…wasn't too sure but his skin was soooo dandruffy and flaking . Used this as soon as we got home. Followed directions. Left on for 15 minutes ….after he dried off noticed NO DANDRUFF FLAKES!! I rubbed down his back and his back wasn't crunching up from inflammation like it usually does wen I softly scratch down his back . instantly shiny and softer . Happy dog. My 14 year old Chihuahua had weeks of horrible itching and scratching. He had terrible hard scales peeling off of his back that started in small patches and then spread to most of his back. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. You can continue every other day for another 2 weeks.Cricketoes

I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. Im not a vet but am thinking whatever it was it was some type of fungal infection. Benefits of product; it wasnt expensive, was easy to apply, and has a light pleasant scent.Debbie

I am so thankful to have found this today! My poor dog could not stop scratching and licking under his front legs, and they were raw and bleeding. He was whimpering but would not stop. My poor Eddy is always itchy, his skin is dry & flaky and ge has some hair loss. I’ve bathed him a few times with the Hartz® Groomer’s Best Professionals Anti-Dandruff Dog Shampoo. First it smells so good. A clean light but a little sweet scent. It lathers nice & rinses easily off of him. His fur feels so soft after too. I have a chocolate lab and for those of you that have a chocolate lab know how thick their fur/hair is and can be come the fall winter months. My poor girl is always scratching and itching. When she shakes you can literally see the flakes flying off her. Since I have been using Hartz Anti-Dandruff shampoo I have noticed a significant difference with her scratching and how much of the flakes fly when she shakes. I love the bright, unmedicated, slightly fruity scent of this dog shampoo. My dog is a Shiba Inu, and occasionally has dandruff-I had never heard of a dog having dandruff before. Since we've been using this shampoo (a couple of washes so far), his fur and skin appear to be healthy, and his dandruff doesn't appear as plentiful when I brush him. We went the gamut of Prednisone and veterinary shampoos for allergy and yeast infection producing hot spots in my dog last year. I did some research when the hot spots started this year and saw good reviews on Mane and Tail antibacterial shampoo. It worked better than I could've hoped. I have to bathe her every few days so the relatively inexpensive 32 oz bottle lasted all summer for my med sized dog. I gave some to a friend and it cleared her dogs hot spots also.WFTowner

It’s not a bad shampoo it didn’t seem to help with the itching thou which is why I got it but it was super gentle and left his fur nice and soft also the smell now I got it because honeysuckle usually smells really nice but this it smelt like nothing. I’m serious it didn’t even smell like soap it smelt like nothing with a VERY slight like medicated chapstick smell which ok I guess that ok but I wanted it to help my dog smell not so much like wet dog if that makes sense. Summer has just begun here in FL and it’s already brutal. If you had to endure being outside frequently, would you go out sporting your fur coat? Didn’t think so! Heat = itch here in the swampy south and solutions to this itch aren’t always easy to find. I use Burt’s Bees Dog Itch Soothing Shampoo on my English Cocker Spaniels to prevent hot spots. Their coats stay shiny and healthy regardless of the excessive heat or numerous dips in the chlorinated pool. The only con I can think of is that I can’t find a larger bottle.jenna.h

I’ve always loved Burt’s Bees products for myself, but I never knew they made products for pets. My older dog was having dander issues on her back and she also needs more assistance with grooming as she gets older. I bought waterless shampoo to use on her but I wanted to have wipes as well. They work good! They definitely help to reduce dander, don’t leave any residue, and I love that they’re gentle since my dog has sensitive skin. We used this product on our grand dog. He was a scaly, crusty mess and had lost most of his hair. We took him to the vet and put him a regimen of medicated shampoo, oral antibiotics and an immunomodulator. We used the Skin Soother immediately after his daily bath. We also have him the salmon treats daily. I believe this product helped him regain his health. His color came back and all the scales and itching were gone. So I bought another. Even though the regimen is over, we are still bathing him regularly and applying the Skin Soother. That was over a month ago and he continues to look better than ever! My pug had a dark bald spot on his neck from scratching and I was looking for something that would hopefully heal the area and let his hair grow back. I discovered the skin soother and decided to give it a try and this worked like magic! I ordered the 2 oz stick version and loved it. The application was great. It was very easy and clean to apply overall. I applied it to the area twice a day for two weeks before I was able to start seeing results. The hair started growing back and the dark skin was lightening up and becoming less dry and flaky. At the same time, my dog was scratching at it less so that was a plus. Only thing is this stick was practically gone by my second week. It would not have come close to lasting the month. That being said, I had to order another to see continued results but I ordered the larger tin instead. My only issue with this product is the tin is a lot harder to apply. The texture itself is not as soft and smooth as the stick. I also had to use my own hands to spread it on which I did not like at all. It also gets messy in the tin as my pug sheds so there is now hair stuck in the product. My recommendation to the company would be to have the stick in a larger option and I would gladly purchase that. However, currently I greatly regret purchasing two of the tins instead of the smaller sticks. All in all, this product works and I would buy it again! My 22 month old extremely active male yellow Lab, Gus, developed redness and a rash on his belly area while running him 5 miles every day in and around rice fields in Glenn County, located in the Sacramento Valley in Northern California. I've had the chance to use Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot and Itch Relief Medicated Shampoo for Dogs and Cats on both one of my dogs and one of my cats. The product works as described when used in accordance with the instructions. After a few daily baths of our dog, she stopped scratching a spot, I suspect was Poison Ivy, that she rolled in on day. My cat was scratching a spot on her neck constantly, so I braved giving her a bath. After one bath (thankfully!), she stopped scratching the area. She's an indoor cat, so I'm not sure what caused this, as there were no signs of having been scratched or any signs of fleas. After their baths, bot the cat's and dog's coats felt better and looked cleaner. It left their coats still shiny and hydrated – not dry and frizzy. Both the dog and cat have short coats. The flip up top and bottle constructions a such that it is easy to open and close, when you are struggling to keep a cat calm or an overzealous dog still when applying the shampoo. Our dog has seasonal allergies, rye grass is the worst. We try to avoid grass on walks because just the smallest amount creates hot spots on his skin. Then the scratching is non stop further antagonizing the hot spots. We try to keep a healthy, natural diet, including supplements because he does have so many allergies. We have been using a topical ointment on hot spots, but we have stayed away from the shampoo’s for varied reasons including active ingredients. The active ingredients in this shampoo are: Lidocaine, oatmeal, and hydrocortisone. The topical ointment we have used has Lidocaine and hydrocortisone. I know oatmeal is very soothing for itching, so we decided to give the shampoo a try. About 24 hours after the first bath, we saw significant improvement on the hot spots. They were actually shrinking and covering up. Our pup stopped scratching and was able to actually get some rest. This is quit impressive considering how miserable he has been. We have two wild and rough housing shepherds. We live out in the boonies and run them in the morning, through the rugged desert trails. This time of year there are stickery little pesky plants that attach themselves in between toes, dog tails, and under bellies – not to mention all over my pants & socks. I noticed that the younger pup was chewing her arms to the point of it being raw. I like that this product has Coconut Oil Based Cleansers, Colloidal Oatmeal, and a touch of Hydrocortisone…. Ever since I started using this brand I have never used another. It has become my favorite brand on my Miniature schnauzer. It leaves his fur shiney and soft! This shampoo smells really good and it definitely brightens up my little guy! There's is a noticeable difference after i bath him in this. After lathering, you have to leave it on for about 5 minutes, as with all purple shampoos. I make sure to put a heavy amount on his paws and bum. These are areas that's tend to strain over time. In between baths, i clean his paws with this as well, leaving it on for 5 minutes then thoroughly rinsing. After he's all dried, he doesn't seem irritated so i believe it is NOT drying out his skin like some brightening shampoos are known for.natalie .g

I bought this originally for my nieces new and tiny miniature Dockson puppy and we ended up using it on her other mini Dockson and our poodle. It’s almost impossible to bath your dog or puppy with out them licking the water or the soap on themselves. This soap they can get distracted in licking it and it is gentle enough that it won’t hurt them a bit. *not that I’m suggesting to reward bad habits but if you bath your pets at home then you known the struggle is real!* We still use this even though they aren’t puppies anymore. The other big thing I love about this is I can wash above the neck! I am careful to protect their eyes but it’s so nice to have a shampoo that doesn’t say wash from neck down, leaving your dog still dirty. I’ve got 4 pups and 3/4 responded beautifully to 4Legger. Their skin was moisturised with less itching and their hair felt thicker and went curlier. I was worried that because I wasn’t applying a conditioner, that their hair would snap off because it felt quite coarse after rinsing, but as I dried them, their hair was lovely and soft. They smell delicious, clean and fresh. It didn’t seem to be too strong for them scent wise. I love the quality of ingredients hence this being my second purchase. Lemongrass and Aloe Hypoallergenic Took this to my groomer along with a copy of transitioning shampoo info from this site. The groomer said she felt a slight waxy feel on my mini poodle while wet. Once dry she was soft and smelling wonderful. In fact the groomer said their shop never smelled so good and her hands were silky smooth. So happy to have made the switch. My little dog was sprayed by a skunk a little over a month ago and we used shampoo that left her skin in ruin. It was so dry and she developed sores that would open and cause hair loss. The Vet and store clerk Mike both recommended a conditioner with oatmeal. We had 3 options, but I opted for this one since it says it was tested on humans (if it’s safe for me, it should be safe for my dog?). We left it on for 5 minutes and rinsed off and her fur is so soft and the pumps are healing and disappearing!J0celyn

John Paul Pet Oatmeal Conditioning Rinse is perfect for my pet. My small dog has long, fine hair. It tangles easily. With John Paul Pet, he smells yummy and his fur is so soft. It's the only conditioner we use for him. The delicate oatmeal scent isn't overpowering or harsh. Love it!jei.s

I have a 10-year-old Bichon Frise with a lot of fluffy coat that takes a lot of effort in the shampoo and grooming process. The Vetericyn FoamCare product was very easy to use and provided ample amounts of lather to thoroughly clean my dog. The Vericyn FoamCare easily washed out thoroughly and left my dog's coat smelling clean and fresh. The included conditioner made it very easy for me to complete his grooming. I was very pleased when blow-drying his coat and being able to fluff his hair to give him the traditional Bichon look. My Bichon has sensitivities to many brands of shampoos. The Vetericyn FoamCare was very gentle on his skin and there was no evidence of any irritants or rashes on his skin. This product penetrates the skin well and performed gently when some of the product got into his eyes. We have a cocker spaniel that is a puppy mill rescue. Baths are always a stressful event. Trying to get a product on the dog while keeping ahold of them is almost impossible. This product makes it so much easier to get the product on with one hand and having the shampoo and conditioner in one step is even better. We were using so much shampoo and conditioner before that just went down the drain, The whole process seems to be quite a bit less stress on the dog too because there is so much less handling and time involved. Giving my Samoyed a bath is always a tedious, tiring task. The amount of time is directly related to the amount of hair and she has a lot. With typical shampoos I always ended up over shampooing one area and barely touching others as where the shampoo landed is where it would get well dispersed and other areas were left with the run off because otherwise I'd be bathing her for hours to work in shampoo and rinse it off. With the Vetericyn Foam Care it was easy to apply just the right amount of shampoo all over and easily massage it in for amazing results. Bath time took half the time and it looks and feels like she went to the groomer as I was able to really shampoo her all over. While I used this for an all over bath it would be easy to use it just on areas as needed for a quick bath as well. One of my dogs sometimes gets itchy skin, no other issues with her skin she just gets itchy. I figured it would be nice if I could find a shampoo to help her out. This one does the trick. She seems much more comfortable after her baths and I love how clean it gets all my dogs. Its very easy to lather up and it rinses clean. The smell is great if youre into fruity…if you dont like fruity itd be best to skip this one. I think this would be a great shampoo for any coat type…I use it on a rat terrier, a mini poodle, and a Great Pyrenees.L.

Good dog shampoo is really hard to find but I really like this one. It is a little bit pricey but the bottle is a good size. The only way I would improve this product is making it a little cheaper or affordable. But the packaging is super cute and I will still pay for it because it’s such a great quality productkatherine.v

My dogs and I love this very much. I love the whole line, but lately, my dog has been suffering from allergies, so I switched to this one. It smells amazing, which I love, but more importantly, it's definitely helping with her skin irritations from her allergies. She doesn't scratch even half as much as before. Before I switched, she would scratch so hard, her belly was covered in scratched, bite marks from chewing, and sometimes it was so bad she bled. Now, she has a clear tummy, because she doesn't have the urge to scratch. This was a lifesaver. For the record, I did previously try the oatmeal itch formulas from other brands, and they stunk terribly, and didn't seem to help, which is why I switched to Pet Head. They've never let me down.R.

My PAPILLON Dandie, 12. loves his Barn Dog shampoo and Conditioner. He usually is so very relieved from itching, and loose hair removed, he drifts to sleep upside and dreams of running in the field. Here he is all combed out. Just a great natural product the suds well and leaves a fresh scent for days. We used to use medicated vet ordered shampoos and never had the same results.Ann G

Last week i did as you instructed. I applied the lotion for a couple of hours before bathing. Her itching has improved by more than 95%. The balding patches on her sides have blended with the surroundings. Hair is growing back in these spots. And she rarely scratches now. Its only her neck that she still likes to be scratched. But she doesnt scratch it herself. Only occasionally. So i am good with that, and I'm just waiting for her neck fur to grow back now. Thank you Bethany for this wonderful product. For the Love of Dogs Neem Shampoo is fabulous. It leaves my dog's coat shiny and soft. Rinses clean easily and has a nice clean smell. Not flowery or over powering. It helped with dry-skin itching my dogs normally suffer with in the dry winter time. I highly recommend this shampoo and I will continue using it on all my dogs.Mason, G
