It's a so-so PURCHASE for the price compared to the high-cost brands. The metal frame is light-weight and the canvas is medium-weight. The material sags slightly and my dogs are not flat when they lay on it. I purchased an extra large for a small/15 lbs and medium/40 lbs dog to share because they refuse separate anything and for space considerations. You'll need a large floor space, so you don't trip over frame corners in walk area. My dogs will not lay on it for extended time; they prefer the floor or their cheap dog pillows. I tried adding a soft, fluffy, over-sized blanket, but it didn't improve their use of the bed. The manufacturing quality of the bed is great! All parts were in perfect condition. That's a rare thing anymore, so I'd give them 5 stars on manufacturing. ASSEMBLY was a big pain. It took a lot of strategy to get the screws to drive in straight. DELIVERY was about 2 weeks using standard. The openings of the box were in bad shape upon delivery. Fortunately, the tape kept it from losing contents. This is a great bed for any pets. I used it on my dogs so they can lie elevated above the floor should they chose too. If you have a kenneled dog, this would be great for them. Gets them off the floor. Cooler in summer and warmer in winter. I have several other beds that are similar, but nowhere near as good a price as these. My sister saw mine and will be ordering some for her dogs. Really well made at a very good price. Very happy. It is possible for the dog to chew the corners, if they are VERY determined to do so, but for dogs that are not serious chewers, I would call this a chew resistant bed. My dog is crazy for this bed. I have now purchased 3. One for my bedroom, living room and downstairs office. During the winter I put a quilt in them and the summer when it is warm I take them out. I have 3 regular beds for her that she will not use. She is just 1 year old and a 70 pound English cream retriever who loves to spend a great deal of back time and this cot is perfect. I purchased the first one and was moving it each night because she is crazy for this. We have had no problem with her chewing these or ripping them at all. They all look new yet. She also no longer wants her kennel because she wants her cot. After 6 months she no longer used her kennel, but we do leave her in my office and living room when we go and have had no problems. we all love this raised bed. this is our second one, the first one we purchased several years ago and is holding up so well (it still looks new!). we take it outside during the day for our two fur-babies to sit on it and then move it all over the yard if they prefer sun versus shade. the second one will be for inside the house in our hu-man seating area so they feel like they have a seat that's just theirs. great design with the legs, they never collapse when they jump on it (and one of them often uses it for added height when they play)….unlike other raised bed designs that fold like a beach chair but then collapse when jumped on. easy to assemble.Stacia
This is a good quality product that I am hoping will last a good many years. Was quite difficult to assemble in terms of getting the last bolt in and required two pairs of hands. I don't know how the assembly process could be improved as the bed surface needs to be under tension which is what makes the final assembly a little problematic. The biggest issue is around registering the product to take advantage of the guarantee. For Europe, you have to register on the Canada/USA site and of course the form is geared for zip codes not UK address formats. I ended up on a chat session with them and still have no confirmation of the registration of the purchase. My cats just love the cots for lounging, playing, sleeping, and that cat superiority point of view above the floor. This cot is very sturdy. Although it says small its bigger than the small travel cot from other makers. Its not too big or too small. Thats quite Okay with me and the cats. Three of them can get on it together, which they do. The Terra Cotta is a perfect color for me, I love it because it blends in with the decor. The mat portion is mesh all around, the frame is metal and comes with the single tool needed to screw it together. They can be used indoors or outdoors. I have another one in grey outside and its been fine through two summers and winters. Once put together its designed to stay together so i wouldn't say its a travel cot. Our dog enjoys this bed! The XL fits our 170lb mastiff comfortably. I was happy to finally find a pet bed large enough to fit him and the price point for such a large pet bed can’t be beat. It took a few times of coaxing him to get on, but once he discovered that it was stable and safe he now happily lays on it. We use it outside so he can avoid laying on our concrete patio. After I took the cot out of the box, I set it up inside in front of some large windows where I know my dog likes to sun himself. He was not sure what to make of it but I invited him up on it and the rest is history. He know uses it daily. It's plenty big to stretch out on and he acts like he is the king from high on his "perch". I bought this last summer for my senior dog, thinking it would be easier on his joints and also keep him cooler when he was resting on the back porch. It took some muscle, but I was able to put it together as directed without any tools. I really was excited to try my Lucky Dog Elevated Pet Bed Cot when it arrived. I wanted to see how the dogs would like it. They have always used more traditional type beds and this was a totally new experience. First of all, it needed to be assembled. When it arrives you see all kinds of tubes that need to be connected to set up the bed. The directions say it should take about 20 minutes to assemble for 1 person. We did not find that to be true and the instructions are not as clear as I believe they could be. It took my husband and myself well over an hour to get this bed right. Lining up the pieces and getting the connecters in tight was much more work than we anticipated. As far as how my dogs like it, one is still afraid of it after having it over a week and the other likes it pretty well. So the reaction to it was a bit mixed. To be fair, the dog who is afraid of it has a tendency to be a bit wimpy about things in general. The dog who likes it really doesn't sleep on it much, she just likes sitting on it to look out the window. The material is canvas like and I am not sure she finds it that comfortable to lay on, plus the middle kind of sinks down a bit and is not supportive. I tried putting on a blanket on it and she does seem to like that better. She will lay on it from time to time. Overall, I wouldn't neccesarily recommend this bed. It is just okay in my opinion.

we all love this raised bed. this is our second one, the first one we purchased several years ago and is holding up so well (it still looks new!). we take it outside during the day for our two fur-babies to sit on it and then move it all over the yard if they prefer sun versus shade. the second one will be for inside the house in our hu-man seating area so they feel like they have a seat that's just theirs. great design with the legs, they never collapse when they jump on it (and one of them often uses it for added height when they play)….unlike other raised bed designs that fold like a beach chair but then collapse when jumped on. easy to assemble.Stacia
This is a good quality product that I am hoping will last a good many years. Was quite difficult to assemble in terms of getting the last bolt in and required two pairs of hands. I don't know how the assembly process could be improved as the bed surface needs to be under tension which is what makes the final assembly a little problematic. The biggest issue is around registering the product to take advantage of the guarantee. For Europe, you have to register on the Canada/USA site and of course the form is geared for zip codes not UK address formats. I ended up on a chat session with them and still have no confirmation of the registration of the purchase. A very frustrating and time consuming process for something which should be a lot easier.Stuart F
My cats just love the cots for lounging, playing, sleeping, and that cat superiority point of view above the floor. This cot is very sturdy. Although it says small its bigger than the small travel cot from other makers. Its not too big or too small. Thats quite Okay with me and the cats. Three of them can get on it together, which they do. The Terra Cotta is a perfect color for me, I love it because it blends in with the decor. The mat portion is mesh all around, the frame is metal and comes with the single tool needed to screw it together. They can be used indoors or outdoors. I have another one in grey outside and its been fine through two summers and winters. Once put together its designed to stay together so i wouldn't say its a travel cot. I think did see a replacement mat available when i ordered this. I may go ahead and order the replacement mat portion for a few years down the road while its available because the cats love it so much it going to get a lot of wear. The cot is made of very duarable materiel and metal legs. My dog is an Australian Cattle Dog, he is about 45 lbs. and the bed is perfect for his size. He always tears up beds so I thought a cot would be better and he can t tear this one apart cause it s made with quality durable materials. He hasn t really used it a lot but it is a quality product and he seems to like it when he does use it. He likes to lay on the cold tile floor cause it s hot now but, I m sure in the winter he will lay on it more. I would recommend this product for anyone look for a pet bed.
I ordered three new cots from Groupon and after two months all three cots the seams came apart. I have four dogs, two labs 85 lbs each, one goldendoodle 65 lbs, and a King Charles Cavalier (8 lbs). They love their cots. Each one has their own and the little dog shares with the labs. I bought the XL, I am extremely disappointed in the quality and would like a refund. I don t recommend buying.
The bed is fine for what I had hoped. It seems durable. The dog uses it. The assembly was not as easy as I thought from reading the reviews. The design of the set up is easy to understand. If you have any issues with strength, make sure you get some help. It took three of us to do it. There is a Velcro side that doesn t get immediately put together until the canvas relaxes enough to stretch.

I own several elevated cot beds – I foster a lot of dogs and I have 4 small dogs of my own. I've gone through about 20 coolaroo brand cots because they just aren't sturdy enough and I have to retighten the screws on those like a million times a month with constant use. I bought this brand on sale just to see what the difference would be… this is WAY better. I've had for about a month now and with daily use of 6 different dogs, it still looks brand new and hasn't gotten loose at all! It even seems like better quality materials, even though the price is significantly less. I will never buy another brand of cot again for my dogs. This is definitely the way to go!Heathers Zoo
I gave away a new bed like this to my mom who has a pitbull with hip displascia. I adopted a 5.6 year old dobi who is now 11 and she needed help. SHE LOOOOVVVVEEESS her bed!!! She takes her time getting in but now has it down to an art. Getting out she pops both front legs down and gingerly eases the hind ones slowly one at a time. She positions herself so her front paws flip down and her head rests on top of the edge and bolts up proud to survey everyone from her lofty new height. The sweet kicker? Her hair and urine leaks to the floor below! Shazamalama! I sweep a ball of hair daily from UNDER the bed and dab the wet spots. She distains her second bed which I do not advise buying which is by the same company if you have an incontinent dog. It feels nice but is not plush. They have there bed that came with it and it has the double cover so it stays dry if there are accidents, but I added there pet beds on top they push them on or off if they want them there they love these. Helinox is an incredible brand. Their products really are the best engineered, highest quality products on the market. This is probably a 5 star item based on quality, but I was disappointed that the long poles don't break down, making this longer than any of my Helinox human cots, which makes packing a bit more complicated. As far as form and function, you can't do better than this. Your dog(s) will be comfortable on this easy to wash bed and will have lots of great memories!jwp1909
I bought the elevated dog caught for our family dog because it gets extremely hot where we live and after a walk in the evening Roscoe is extremely hot and he’s desperately trying to find a way to cool down. So I purchased the cot in order for him to lay on it to have air flowing under him to cool. When I assembled it and put it in the family room, he immediately went and laid on it understanding that it was for him. It was humorous to see that he immediately personalized it by dragging his blankets onto it to give it his scent as well as him rolling around on it, once he figured out how to get comfortable on it it was nice to see that he used it regularly. It’s extremely well-made and the cot portion and durable aluminum legs are typical Helinox quality and I believe dog claws will have no effect on it. I also love that it can be taken apart easily and taken with you to go camping or other places where you need a way to elevate your dog to be off the hot ground or the cold ground. It is also very stable the way the feet are designed and at no point have I ever seen a tip over. I appreciate that Helinox also cares about our pets safety and comfort.James C.
This bed packs down small, super sturdy meta frame and usual Helinox high quality. 70lb dog fits well. We wanted a raised dog bed that would survive as a piece of luggage on an airplane.
