I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. So I have a beabull, mostly English bulldog. He’s a 7/8 mix. Out of nowhere his cute little black nose started getting crusty and cracked. I waited a while and it didn’t let up. I bought this for my dog’s (14 year old Shar Pei) keratin buildup on his nose and paws. It dissolved the stuff great and I was able to wipe off the stuff on his paws after one application. That was really impressive. My dog has fairly mild Hyperkeratosis but his nose gets a fairly thick layer of buildup, and this product allows you to remove it fairly easily after a few applications over a couple days and a cooperative pooch. I was really impressed with how well it worked. I use it now preventatively which prevents bad buildup on his nose and paws, so all in all I’m certainly a big fan. I recommend at least the 2oz can if you think you’ll use it on the paws. The 2 oz can generally lasts me a couple months even with multiple applications per day. This works well—- my cat doesn't try to run away when I use it. He gets dandruff sometimes and a couple wipe downs using this gets rid of it. I also have to wash his ears everyday for his compounded blood pressure meds and I use this on a kitty wipe so I don't have to rub excessively. Love this product. My poor sheltie gets these tribble rashes on her belly and the vet gave her a skin antibiotic plus a steroid shot to see if it was maybe a bacteria infection but the rash remained so i just assumed the rash was from some skin allergy she must have from God knows what. I saw this product at Petco and decided to give it a try. It got rid of the rash within about two weeks of using it about three times a day and she doesn't lick it off like the Benadryl cream i had been putting on her in the beginning. I also changed her food to Hills science for sensitive skin and stomach along with giving her the Septiderm-v shampoo bath every couple of weeks and overall it seems to be working! The rash still comes back here and there so of course i have to keep putting it on her but at least it keeps it at bay.Taby
Good crate pad. Not very thick, but easy for dog to walk on while in the crate. Has slits cut in corners so it lays well without bunching up, and wires in wire crate can rest in slits. My dog has been licking one of his paws for months, I wasn't sure why but it kept making his paw look red (he has white fur). A friend told me it could've been a hot spot. I bought this at Petco for a decent price and sprayed it on my dog while he was licking and massaged it into his fur. I had been meaning to get the V2 ever since it was released, because the original we have needs a break. While I am not a fan of colors that stand out, this seemed like a perfect color match for our black tri shetland sheepdog, and so I went for it. My wife was pretty hesitant at first when she saw it on the website, but when she saw the actual thing, she fell in love with it. It's been over a month since the gold arrived, and I have completely transitioned my dog to the V2. Even though I ordered replacement lenses for the original he's been wearing for the past year, we're fully on V2 now. He loves it. V2 definitely gives him a better field of view, and it covers his face pretty well in rain. He knows his eyes are well protected, so he does not fear shoving his face into bushes and shrubs. While I am glad that these goggles give him the protection and confidence to stick his face into whatever, one problem I have found is that the lens gets scratched up even more with the V2, perhaps the large surface area makes it more noticeable.Wang
Rex Specs ordered for my 16 month old Weimaraner. He is used as a hunting dog and the goggles were ordered to protect his eyes while going through thick brush. Bought the goggles about 1 month before hunting season. Used the goggles during walks around the development, and within a few days, he got used to using the goggles and wasnt trying to get them off. Since then, have been using the goggles while hunting. Pros: Goggles are light and my dog has adjusted to goggle use. He no longer tries to get the goggles off. They do protect. Lots of scratches on the lenses after running him through the brush with no eye injuy as of now. Goggles are well ventillated and fogging has not been a problem. Cons: The plastic lens is soft and scratches easily. However, while looking through the goggles (dog's view) the scratches don't really seem to impair the view, and my dog has had no issues while in the woods. Big downside is the locking mechanism of the lens. The top locking of the lens disengages. I usually have to reset the lens 2 or 3 times while hunting with the dog. The dog is running through thick laurels at times and the lens does take a beating, but there should be a better way to lock the lens in place. Yesterday, the lens dropped out and was lost during a hunt. Recommed : Would puchase again because the dog adapted easily to use of the goggles and they do protect his eyes. I would recommend carrying an extra lens while hunting since the lens does disengage from the goggles and can be lost.George R.
Our dog got diagnosed with pannus at not even 2 years, so we thought it might be good to protect her eyes from the UV radiation at the high altitude we live at (>7000 ft). Yes, Rex Specs are expensive, but they are also awesome. It was a process of 3-4 weeks before she didn't try anymore to rip them off as soon as we put them on (there are great training videos available with good tips, e.g., starting without the lens, feeding treats through the frame, etc.). Now, whenever the goggles come out, she knows it's go time and gets excited. She wears them when biking, skiing, hiking, working in the woods, or just in the park for some fetch. When out and about, we connect the leash and the goggles with a couple small carabiners just in case she does manage to get them off (so that they hang on the leash; hasn't happened yet, though). Somebody complained in a review they scratch easily. They do indeed. Initially, I was a little annoyed, but then I realized it didn't matter, she can still see through them, even with the lens completely covered in scratches. Now, after about 1.5 years, I'm about to replace the lenses for the first time. I'm considering upgrading to the V2 for the improved peripheral vision, but it's hard to justify when the old pair still works… Bonus points for being a WY company!F.N.

I've tried numerous harnesses and never loved any until this one. I have a miniature rat terrier who is 13.5 lbs. He tends to be too big for mediums and way too small for large sizes. Finally, this harness fits perfectly in Medium! There's even a little room to spare in case he gets larger. We wanted to take off pressure from his neck and the v neck design and light weight, soft mesh is great! It's by far the softest one I've ever felt, and I've tried every one at multiple stores. It's so comfortable that it could be left on all the time even in summer since it's so breathable. My dog lives it too! He seems to feel safe and calmer in it like a thunder shirt makes him feel. The first time I took him on a walk he seemed to feel "free". He was so happy to pounce around without worrying about a jerk in his neck. We give this one 5 stars!!!! I got this in black, size medium from Amazon. She has a 12" neck and a 19" chest. This harness is adjustable around both neck and chest. My pup has a high chase drive and will sometimes pull suddenly. I like that the x-shape doesn't put as much pressure on her throat when she pulls, and the double d-rings and buckle closure feel very secure for her leash. My dog learned to step into the harness on her own if we hold it up for her, too. Very good quality materials that will last a long time.lianna.b

I stopped giving apoquel to my dog, not only because of the expense (costing more than $200 a month), but also because of all the reviews I have read about the danger to a dog's immune system with prolonged use. I have intentionally waited to write a review because I wanted to give enough time to see if the Fidoplex was going to make a difference. I bought this supplement a year ago because my cavalier king charles spaniel had recently experienced two bad episodes with ivdd and she’s only 4 years old. We took our Newfie/Lab to the vet to get vaccinated for a training class. Shortly after his shots, he developed a skin allergy with two hot spots on each hip. The vets thought it was a staph infection and put him on antibiotics & steroids. The issue reappeared after he finished the meds. The other vet thought he had skin allergies & put him on a 2nd round of steroids & antibiotics. That's when we searched online and found Wondercide. The Skin Tonic worked! My lab/beagle mix suffers from skin allergies, and the poor thing will scratch and chew herself until she bleeds, so I was very eager to try this product. The day I received it, I rubbed down her belly with it (this is where she itches the most) and it seemed like she felt instant relief. When she starts scratching, I apply a thin layer of the gel and she stops almost immediately. And it lasts for hours! My poor pupper got irritated paws from horrible ginko berries smashed all over the fall ground and then made them worse by licking. They were so red and I felt so bad. This product is on the shelf next to a dozen others that claim to do the same thing, but I didn't get to it until three others didn't get the job done. This showed visible improvement within a day. Bonus that he didn't lick it off – before I tried this I would combo an antimicrobial with one of those "bitter taste dogs hate" sprays, but my dog is weird and loved those things and would lick them like crazy.
