I bought this for my 13 pound Shih Tzu/ Bichon Frise 2 weeks ago and it’s already messed up. Threads came undone from 2 places and the belly of the elephant had to be sown up. I’m so confused by this toy. How can this possible be such a “mighty” toy with a dura-scale of 8? My dog is nowhere near a rottweiler and yet it’s already coming apart. We just bought another elephant tonight for my dog's fifth birthday. He gets one every year and still has all of his old ones. He still has his first although it has a hole worn into it from carrying it around. He shakes the elephant by the ear and trunk but it holds up. For those who complain that their dog destroyed it within five minutes, you need to teach your dog to be more gentle. Even if they chewed on a rock, it would break down over time. The elephant is very cute. I got a rescue dog and she came with an elephant sort of like this. I wanted to replace it as she's chewed the ears and a foot off already! The first one I ordered was smaller than the one she has and the second one is much bigger. This is my third one! I measured the middle size one that I wanted and it matched the measurements of this one but once again, I got an extra large elephant. It's cute, it's ears are adorable. It's just not the size I really wanted. I'm not going to return it because postage would be almost as much as it costs. It's a great stuffed animal and I would recommend it for a child.
