My 70lb. Furbaby just loves this little squeaky Monkey baby. He throws it up in the air, squeaks it, and chews on it. Thus far it has held up fine! My furbaby is a chewer on his babies too. The only reason for 4 stars is that this toy is much smaller than led onto believe. Thus, the price is a little much for it also. Would purchase again however!KRIS

I loved how excited my dog was while she tossed into the air and chewed on it. I loved her reaction to the squeaker inside….. Purchased a couple of these for my dog who loves his monkey toys. Very disappointed when they arrived as I was expecting quiet a long leggy monkey as they are supposed to be 22 long. They are actually only 18 long (see photo). I was also disappointed with the quality of the monkey. The monkey has padded feet in the listing but the two monkeys that I purchased have no padding and the squeakers are just loose within the foot. These squeakers arent going to last very long as they only have a thin bit of material covering them with no padding to protect them. The whole monkey looks inferior to the one shown in the listing. My medium sized dog destroyed this toy in 10 minutes. She tore the arms and legs off and then went to work on the head. She liked the toy but it would be expensive to try to keep one all the time.tangerine

I have a small dog that weighs under ten pounds. He is spoiled rotten and he loves toys. These are good toys from Multipet for small dogs that are not inclined to chew them apart. My dog loves toys that make sounds. He can't always get them to make the sound on his own so he brings them to me to activate the noise. I purchased 2 "talking monkeys" for my 6 yr old basset hound Emmy because she liked the "talking ducks" (from Petco.com) so much. There's something about the noise these "recorded sounds" make, that drives her nuts. She races around the house like crazy, playing with the toy, making the noises (which are not at all obnoxious), causing my 12 year old basset Wendy to bark & bark. It gives me great joy to see them having fun. Unfortunately the mechanical devices inside the toys don't hold up. They should have more protection around the metal "noise box". 2 ducks & 1 monkey stopped working after a few hours of play. I'll keep buying them as long as Petco keeps replacing them. …but it's a bit annoying for me, lol. The sound can get old quite quickly, especially since he just loves to activate the monkey sounds, which sound nothing like the gorilla it's portraying but is still appealing to most dogs. I have a 90 lb mutt. He's mixed with chow, lab, Australian shepherd, & border collie (I had him DNA tested, which was really fun). He should only be about 65 lbs and is overweight but hasn't chewed up this toy yet. He tends to be "nice" when playing and mouthing his toys, just like when he's playing with other dogs or rough housing with my son. It probably helps that I trained my pup how to be "nice" when he used to accidentally bite my hand when I'd give him treats & say "OW!" So, now when I give him a new toy, I tell him to "play nice" with it. He also doesn't bite a toy to activate the sound or squeaker. He just noses it when it's on the floor. Idk where he got that from, but this toy has lasted about a month so far & is still making screaming, monkey sounds, lol. All in all, I think it's the best toy I've bought for him…besides his treat puzzle. He's such a smart pup!TheBold1

My lab loves to tear apart his toys, beds and anything he deems as his. He is smart, so my stuff is never in danger, but every toy I buy him ends up being shredded. After almost a year some rope poked out of the belly button. It looks like an umbilical cord now. The rest of it is still holding together and looking good. I purchased the KONG Floppy "fox" Knots Dog Toy. My dog luvs it! It's a great toy so I tried the alternative KONG Floppy Knots "Monkey" Dog Toy. Well the monkey holds up better but my dog prefers the fox. I'm on my 3rd fox in over a year. Even at 3 per year, it's a great buy for the cost.M S.V.

the guys has had the stuffing ripped out, his nose removed, holes gnawed through his feet, ropes removed and yet is still a favorite toy for our Aussie. he's nothing left than tattered animal body, but she loves it. the weak points were at his nose and butt; she managed to remove all stuffing in the matter of an hour. the ropes lasted longer. this toy was a great alternative to a completely stuffed toy, as i didn't have to pick up nearly as much stuffing from this one.lexi.a

We love this brand! The squeakers last and my dog doesn’t immediately tear them up. Worth paying a little more, but often we find them for a reasonable price on Amazon, Chewy, or Sierra Trading Post. We love all of the GoDog toys and probably have purchased 50 or so over the years. The ones with the dangling legs have multiple squeakers and are great for dogs that love to play tug. Be warned though that the legs and arms can come out fairly easily, so this may not be good for a dog that eats his toys.pamela.s

My Dapple Doxie can destroy a chew toy in minutes…… literally, but this one although only part of "monk monk" remains after 6/7 months of fetch and destroy, has lasted an incredible length of time. I bought 4 more just so I wouldn't have to worry about fetch and destroy toys for the next year or 2!!! the image on left is new and right is after 6/7 months of CONSTANT play and is still going. I do recommend tieing the arms up to get him to fly better when throwing for fetch purposes.BDP72

Our 13 yr old lab mix loves toys with squeakers and floppy arms/legs. However, he can destroy any toy within short order. The money was a good toy, but he did have holes in it, and stuffing flying within the first 30 min. He doesn't eat the squeakers and I let him play with the toy and tear it apart until there is only large portion of the body left. He has a good time and I always have an extra toy on hand. Regarding this dog toy, it used to be my two Golden Retrievers (now deceased) favorite toy. I used to buy them at Tractor Supply, Walmart or Petco. But, I can no longer find this item at these locations. When I found this item here on Ebay, I was thrilled! I bought this for my new member of the household, another Golden Retriever, and when I presented this toy to him, he was ecstatic! A very fine toy for a dog.klggp

We purchased 2 monkeys The label stated chew level 4 (moderate-heavy) Our dog had the rope pulled out of the arm of the first monkey in under 10 min. By the next morning the face had been destroyed, unstuffed and de-squeeked. Later that afternoon the same dog tore the rope out of the 2nd monkey's arm and proceeded to shred it in less than 20 min. I hardly think this is a chew label 4. Quite disappointed, certainly thought they would last longer than 24 hours.Jennifer

My Dog loved this toy. He got it in the morning and within a few minutes it was torn to pieces. He is a German Shepherd Husky mix and about 9 months old. He liked the toy a lot, but the toy did not last very long at all. It was torn to pieces in a matter of minutes and totally destroyed by a few hours. Toy does not last for a big chewer. Do not recommend for those that have big chewers. The squeakers in foot and hands were gone first. Then the head. It was easily torn to pieces. There are two ropes that the monkey is made of. Our blue heeler loved this toy! So much that he ripped off the feet one by one and removed the rope from the toys body within 3 days, LOL. Seems like the rope is actually bound together by some kind of electrical tape, so that warrants some extra supervision with this toy. We just recently got our boy from the shelter, so we’re still learning just how much this guy can chew! For the price, it’s pretty fair. My Carmine loves his Bumi. This makes number two for him. He had a horseshoe which was his favorite thing and these Bumi are a great replacement. The opportunity presented itself for me to try out the Bumi dog toy, produced by West Paw. This particular toy is one of West Paw's newest dog toys. Bumi, makes an exceptional toy for tug of war. It is made of Zogoflex. Zogoflex is a strong, malleable material that is suppose to withstand unfavorable conditions. Those conditions being my dog's sharp teeth, his powerful grip, and his action in thrashing it all over the yard as he is playing. Well, I went outside and introduced him to the Bumi. He wasn't excited like I thought he would be. At first, that was disappointing. He would not play tug of war with me. Instead, he liked running and fetching the Bumi back to me. The Bumi is a light weight, "S" shaped, bouncy toy that is easy to throw for fetching. It also travels a bit further than most toys due to these traits. It is non-toxic, BPA and Phthalates free ( Phthalates is a chemical used to soften PVC plastics). These substances can cause damage to the kidneys, liver, lungs, and testes according to animal research. Not all dog toys are safe and I do not want to risk my dog's health for anything. The Bumi is made to be long lasting and safe for dogs to chew on. I like that he will fetch the toy because it requires him to get up and move. Exercise will be good for him and he is learning a few commands. I gave him a reward and that really motivated him to continue fetching. It looks like my dog will enjoy chewing on this toy for the most part. So far, it has held up well.When he puts his mouth on it, he grips it in the middle section, where it has a ball like shape. I suppose it's because this is the first time he has had a toy like this. Usually, he retrieves balls and other round toys so this toy is fun and easier for him to grip. This toy is made in the USA and it was made to last a long time. The chewing action is good for his gums and teeth. The Bumi floats in water and can be easily washed or placed in the dishwasher. Lastly, I was impressed with the fact that if the Bumi comes apart it can be returned to West Paw company for a new one. The West Paw Company made this toy so it can be recycled if returned. It's a great toy for my dog and with it being recyclable, it is good for us and our environment. I don't think a dog owner could go wrong in purchasing this new innovative toy by West Paw.DD

Over the past 17 years, we've had 3 dogs and have bought hundreds of toys over those years. None of our dogs were very rough with their toys, so we've had 3 baskets full of gently used dog toys. All 3 dogs have since passed away, the last one in June of 2020. So, in September of 2020 we got a mini Goldendoodle puppy. Since we still had the 3 baskets full of toys that were in good condition from our other dogs, our new puppy, "Bowie" has had tons of toys to play with. The big difference is that Bowie is NOT gentle with his toys!! He is a power chewer who not only tears toys apart, he will actually consume the stuffing!! I've had to take every toy away from him after a day or two due to his weird appetite! I NEVER leave him alone with a toy. But there is one toy from that bunch that he absolutely loves and is still in excellent condition. So, thankfully, I was able to find the name of the company stamped into this toy, and I immediately searched the internet for the company West Paw (praying that it was still around). I was ecstatic to find their website, and there I saw his beloved toy – the "Bumi"!!! I was also surprised to see it listed as a toy for gentle chewers! I saw that almost all the reviewers mentioned that their dogs were more like Bowie – power chewers. The other thing about the Bumi is that it makes Bowie do the Zoomies all around the house whenever he plays with it. It makes him crazy! So, the added benefit is the exercise he gets when he plays with it, and there is still not a single bite mark on it! We bought Zeke the cheeky monkey toy for our newly adopted Chug (pug/chihuahua) last March and it has been his favorite toy. The good thing about this toy is that it has a squeaker that is silent to humans but the dog can hear it. My dog immediately loved the toy and couldn’t stop playing with it. The problem is that it’s made out of typical stuffed animal materials, meaning that the dog ripped it open within 15 minutes and I ended up with a mess of stuffing and monkey parts all over the place. This cute guy is what dreams are made of! I do want to point out that out of my 3 dogs only 1 of them seems to respond to the squeaker in this toy. I dont hear anything but one of my dogs does get super excited when I squeeze the squeker other than that this thing is so adorable and its even cuter hanging out of my dogs mouth with those big ole ears. I love this little Gator Monkey. The best thing about this toy is not only is it a great size to fit in my dogs mouth but the silence squeak is a fantastic new technology which I have never seen and other dog toys. I can have this anywhere in the house where I can still see the dog, squeak it and not only is it silent, but his ears perked up and his head turns in that direction right away. Hello, first thank you for the great customer support on the Hunter tough toys Gorilla. Your customer support section is top notch which is why you are getting a 4 and not a 3 which is what I think the product should get. The Apa is better than the Gorilla I had originally purchased but the tough toys do not stay really that good together in the big seams. We have had to reinforce ourself the big seam areas. The covered seams are okay. Now others like us have slightly larger puppies, ours is a 9 month old Labradoodle who loves to play and Tug of War being one of his favorite games. The toy cannot be used for Tug of War. We can toss it around and he can just hold it and cuddle with it. It is a toy to play with alone not in groups.John K.

We bought this for our Rottweiler and she loves it. She will bring it to us then walk away so we can't have it. We are thinking of getting other ones.
