This toy is so annoying. It does not have an off button and is motion sensored. I had to hide it in a drawer because it goes off even if you arent anywhere near it. We all woke up from the middle of a nap to my toddler yelling that she could hear a horse in the house. We live in a duplex and my neighbors opened their garage, which in turn, sent a small vibration through the floor, triggering it. I think this is truly a wonderful device that offers great fun for both my dogs and cats. Not only is it seemingly durable, but it is also standing up to the rigors of being chewed, dropped down the stairs, tossed in the yard and so forth. He got a good week and a half out of it and then it died and then you have to go searching for the special battery or Amazon has them. Its a little loud when rolling if you have hardwood floors like I do and my dog likes nothing better than to roll it around. The Red/Yellow ball is animal sound based – the Blue ball is human voice based – at time of writing a recordable Babble is not available (Dec '17). Medium size is good for a 20kg 45lb collie* – the large is possible for them* but it slows/curtails the fun somewhat. Given as a gift to a curious & active dog I would expect happy mayhem as a result – once assured that the toy is SAFE and THEIRS you should be good to sit back and let them play. Caution – under certain circumstances obsessive behaviour may develop, so sharing may take time/care and chewing has to be watched for but because the product is strong you won't have to panic. WHEN YOU CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE – GIVE IT A CLEAN AND POP IT IN THE FRIDGE DOOR…. Really it works on a whole new level and might just turn into a long-term sillyness that you all enjoy. P.S. My dogs love it and don't like to share it but I had a two problems with it. It worked one day then would only "talk" for a second and then stop, I read someone else comment about taking out a battery. I didn't understand that until i opened it up and saw that it had 3 batteries. I did what they did and took out 1 of the 3, now it works great without glitching. The other problem I had with it was that the size i bought for my small dogs have ridges on it and my dogs love to chew on those ridges. they open their mouths wide and check one ridge with their top teeth and another ridge with their bottom teeth and clamp down, which ends up marring all the ridges in between. I'm scared they will break or chip their teeth. I finally took a thick sock and doubled back the sock so it was 2x as thick and put the ball in there. they still try to chew but it's harder to get the ridges and it's also easier for them to pick it up. Bought Two of these – One for each grand dog home. Shipped to family member where we have Xmas and “Pup Pup”, the resident parcel inspector and delivery announcer went bonkers when the ball was removed from the shipping box. The ball is very rigid plastic which prevents total instant destruction by the doxie tag team that makes short work of any toy in reach. I would recommend this toy for a smaller dog or one who is not a powerful chewer. I know this is not intended to be a chew toy, but realistically, if you have a medium or large dog, they usually have a tendency to chew any toy you put in front of them. I have an English Pointer mix who normally destroys any toy I give him unless I get it from BullyMake or BarkBox. Unfortunately, neither offer a toy that compares to this one in terms of entertainment for your dog. He absolutely loved this toy so it is a shame that he was able to bite chucks out of it within 20 minutes. I can't find the pieces that he took out of it so I'm waiting to see if he passes them. If not, it will be a visit to the vet. He was so sad when I took it away from him and looked at me with those sad brown eyes. I would love to have one of stronger material that he could play with and not have to worry. I bought this toy for my little french bull dogs first birthday. Seeing it capabilities online I was immediately impressed and intrigued with self play and the balls ability to get out from under areas the dog might have trouble with since my girlfriend is in her studies from home and her work is constantly interrupted from our dog whining about a ball trapped under somewhere. This product seemed to be perfect. I ordered it. Within a week I see cheerble is now advertising a new version of the ball, felt like I missed out on a new improved design but was eager to see what the wicked ball W1 still had to offer. The ball showed up two weeks after and both my pet and I were excited. I got it out of the packaging read the manual and gave it to my French bull dog eager to play. She immediately took to it and could tell she was obsessed. This seemed all too good to be true. And it was…. In less than ten minutes our Frenchie had managed to get the clear plastic ring from the centre apart from the shell and dismantle the shell….maybe I should have got a replacement one but don't believe I should have to pay $10 to give my dog 10minutes of play… That is not sustainable living… Not for us anyways… Perhaps the new design is more durable but after spending $60+ for a ball after tax and shipping that couldn't withstand a 25lb pup I'm not to eager to dish it out again…. This ball was amazing at first. First day I used it my frenchie was obsessed however 10 mins in, I notice a piece was already broken off. Customer support was super nice and sent me a new shell with no problem, however when it arrived and I went to use it again, the shell wouldn’t close fully so it wouldn’t work. Like it was always lose fitting and after 10 seconds of playing, the shell was fully open. I got the shell to my apartment at school so by the time I was able to give it to my dog was about a month after I had received it so I never put in another request for a new one as I had no way to prove that it didn’t work since day 1. I’m hoping I was just unlucky as this was an amazing idea for a product that I loved when it did work, I’m just sad I spent so so much money for it to not work on me twice. This ball came and looked like a plastic hard ball from the dollar store. Very disappointed. It's not a dog toy material. Our dog roughed up and chewed the outside in 15 minutes. I bought this toy for my little french bull dogs first birthday. Seeing it capabilities online I was immediately impressed and intrigued with self play and the balls ability to get out from under areas the dog might have trouble with since my girlfriend is in her studies from home and her work is constantly interrupted from our dog whining about a ball trapped under somewhere. This product seemed to be perfect. I ordered it. Within a week I see cheerble is now advertising a new version of the ball, felt like I missed out on a new improved design but was eager to see what the wicked ball W1 still had to offer. The ball showed up two weeks after and both my pet and I were excited. I got it out of the packaging read the manual and gave it to my French bull dog eager to play. She immediately took to it and could tell she was obsessed. This seemed all too good to be true. And it was…. In less than ten minutes our Frenchie had managed to get the clear plastic ring from the centre apart from the shell and dismantle the shell….maybe I should have got a replacement one but don't believe I should have to pay $10 to give my dog 10minutes of play… That is not sustainable living… Not for us anyways… Perhaps the new design is more durable but after spending $60+ for a ball after tax and shipping that couldn't withstand a 25lb pup I'm not to eager to dish it out again…. This ball was amazing at first. First day I used it my frenchie was obsessed however 10 mins in, I notice a piece was already broken off. Customer support was super nice and sent me a new shell with no problem, however when it arrived and I went to use it again, the shell wouldn’t close fully so it wouldn’t work. Make no mistake, this is a, tough, very good quality product and the Dogs seem to like it, however, on grass this flies and bounces as a normal ball and other Canine owners have even suggested that it is even flies on a truer line, it also does not fit easily into my Chuckit launcher I have tried it on a hard surface but still no particular deviation in direction. Green was probably not a great choice of colour for an outdoor dog toy. In summary, I will not be buying any more but the dogs still play with the ones I have…. mainly to chew on. Bought Two of these – One for each grand dog home. Shipped to family member where we have Xmas and “Pup Pup”, the resident parcel inspector and delivery announcer went bonkers when the ball was removed from the shipping box. The ball is very rigid plastic which prevents total instant destruction by the doxie tag team that makes short work of any toy in reach. I would recommend this toy for a smaller dog or one who is not a powerful chewer. I know this is not intended to be a chew toy, but realistically, if you have a medium or large dog, they usually have a tendency to chew any toy you put in front of them. I have an English Pointer mix who normally destroys any toy I give him unless I get it from BullyMake or BarkBox. Unfortunately, neither offer a toy that compares to this one in terms of entertainment for your dog. He absolutely loved this toy so it is a shame that he was able to bite chucks out of it within 20 minutes. I can't find the pieces that he took out of it so I'm waiting to see if he passes them. If not, it will be a visit to the vet. He was so sad when I took it away from him and looked at me with those sad brown eyes. I would love to have one of stronger material that he could play with and not have to worry. The concept for this toy is spot on and I would give it a positive review for a smaller dog or a breed that is not a strong chewer.pompano01-us
My dog absolutely LOVES this ball. We got her one when she was just a puppy and it’s been her favorite toy since. She’s had it about 6 months and has destroyed it. I don’t mind buying one every six months because I get my money’s worth. Last night I went to buy her a new one, thinking she will have it another 6 months. WRONG. I actually got the 8" one I believe. I had an old one that was 14" and it was great. I wanted a smaller one for my puppy, but it is very light weight and does not dribble well. I suppose it will hold up, but it is not made as well as my old one. It could even be a different company. I have had my big one for about 15 years. This Chuck it ball is large, my 100 pound lab could barely fit it in his mouth. So I would say its best for larger breed dogs only. The ball does not fit into the chuck it thrower- this is a completely different style ball that is made of a soft and light material so its not for outdoor throwing or use, it has a fuzzy cover that would get dirty quick outdoors. My dog loved the fuzziness of it , squeezuing it in his mouth and it was good for a indoor game of catch. But like all the soft fuzzy toys, he destroyed it on the second day. My dog loves her new ball. She’s been keeping it in her bed with her, so cute! The ball is a little bigger than a softball and has a soft terry-like material on the outside that has a really nice feel, sort of like a stuffed animal. It’s light, so not worried about breaking things if play gets a little wild. My dog isn’t a big fetcher, but she does like to chase her toys when they’re thrown. We have had great luck with other Chuckit! products so I was excited to try this one. I don't know why it says that this is "small" as it is larger than a standard softball. It's great that it doesn't bounce all over so I didn't have to worry about it breaking something. It is soft to the touch and soft to squeeze so it was easy for the dogs to get a grip on it. My dogs played with this for quite a bit, but I woke up the next morning, not even 18 hours later, and my dogs had managed to destroy the ball. They are not heavy chewers, by any means, but I think the soft texture and ease of chewing was too enticing and they just went to town. Other King toys outlasted our other 2 corgis. This toy was great out of the box! Great stimulation and evening entertainment for 8 month old puppy. He’s 25 pounds of active energy. The softer plastic is now cracked on both ends and the sound is decreased. We have taken it out of toy rotation and our back to 2 other King toys. Any chance this could be the same plastic as stronger lime green plastic? On blabber ball? This is hardly chewed up. Making the size larger in diameter would help if the handle sizes remained same spacing. I have a Boston Terrier that destroys everything we give him. These balls are the only ones we have found that actually last! The bright colors are great as we live in a wooded area – although his nose is pretty accurate when it comes to finding his ball. These were a bit pricey but we have a mini bull terrier that manages to chew apart any toy we have purchased including Kong toys. She has been unable to leave more than scratches on the surface after several outings. You have to understand, this dog is EXTREMELY OCD about chewing toys apart. Our Blue Heeler mix loves to play with large rubbery balls, soccer balls, kick balls, etc. But she destroys them by grabbing them with her teeth to carry them across the yard. This ball is awesome! She's had it for months, and it's full of little teeth marks, but still holding it's shape. We've kept it outside in the weather, and it's still a nice bright orange color too.
