I actually got the 8" one I believe. I had an old one that was 14" and it was great. I wanted a smaller one for my puppy, but it is very light weight and does not dribble well. I suppose it will hold up, but it is not made as well as my old one. It could even be a different company. I have had my big one for about 15 years. The rubbery feeling is very soft. edges are soft, opened out of the package and there was a pleasant clean and almost fruity smell. the balls are about the size of a softball and very lightweight. My 2 year old dog literally destroyed it in a half hour. I’m so upset. I didn’t think he would be able to destroy it so quick. Honestly, my dog is little (Yorkie) and initially she was afraid of the JW Hol-ee Roller! But that was short-lived. To get her going I found some treats just the right size and stuffed them in the holes. Well you know, anything to do with treats has to be good! That got "the ball rolling"! No pun intended. Now it is one of her favorite toys. It's great because she usually wants me to interact with her with her toys but this one she is content to play with herself. The way it is designed she can basically throw it in the air herself then chase after it. I no longer put treats in it. So far she hasn't been able to chew it up but if that should ever happen I hope they are still on the market because I will have to replace it. They would make great doggie gifts too. We have bought several of these over the years and in various sizes. They are so much fun for the dogs and with a little creativity you can use them for an endless number of games and configurations. They are durable and easily washable and can be played with outside, in the water at the beach or pool, or inside. We like to stuff treats and toys and chews inside. Sometimes we tie a rope and fling it around outside for the dog to chase after. We have tied pieces of fabric to make snuffle balls so the dogs have to work to get their kibble or treats out of it. We have stuffed smaller holee-rollers inside and other toys like tennis balls or stuffed squeaky toys. Sometimes we shove a cow ear or a thick piece of dried buffalo/beef cheek roll or other long lasting chew. There are so many ways to customize this simple rubber ball. Make no mistake, this is a, tough, very good quality product and the Dogs seem to like it, however, on grass this flies and bounces as a normal ball and other Canine owners have even suggested that it is even flies on a truer line, it also does not fit easily into my Chuckit launcher I have tried it on a hard surface but still no particular deviation in direction. So far so good. The size large or medium works for large breeds, since there are only those two sizes. For medium to smaller dogs the size medium would work. We got the large. My dog is 58 lbs and he can still fit it in his mouth. The rubber is good quality and doesn’t have toxic materials. You’re advised to cut the tabs in the openings to customize it for your needs, if necessary. I did that so my dog could get his kibble out more easily.Maya B

In order to replace just this piece on my 2012 fusion ford told me i had to buy the whole positive terminal kit which comes with all the wires and looks like an octopus with a pice tag of roughly $145 (retail part). Up to $300-ish installed. All i needed was the terminal but ford said they did not sell this piece alone. So i saw this one and picked it up and had a friend who installs aftermarket radios cut and soder the wires. Worked perfectly. He charged me $30. So for under $50 i was able to fix a problem that ford wanted to charge me a crazy amount to do.christopheperso-0
These balls are 99% indestructible in my opinion. They are larger than a tennis ball so dogs cannot get them in their mouths. They can chew them to their hearts content and leave very little marks if at all. Beware of their strong bounce. As they cost more than a tennis ball, be careful the dogs don't lose them in bushes etc.miken6293

I’m sorry but I would not recommend this. Within about 3 hours of my dogs eating this stuff’n they got sick. I have two black labs and we love the Kong toys. I had always put peanut butter or other things in the toy until I tried this. I put it in the toy, they played and within 3 hours BOTH of my babies were sick. I could hear their stomachs rumbling and they had horrible diarrhea. They both looked so pitiful. It passed in about 1.5-2 hours but I was so upset I had given them something that made them so sick. Since this incident I’ve seen multiple reviews saying the same thing. I would NOT recommend. It’s just not worth the risk!elizabeth.f
Looking for a treat dispensing toy for my Jack Russell that wouldn't instantly be destroyed by one of the other dogs in the house, the material is the hard rubber material that the other main Kong toys are made out of instead of easily chewed plastic which was exactly what I was looking for. my dog loves it and so far hasn't chewed it apart so great buy, brilliant for use when i'm busy round the house or just chilling out, keeps him entertained for ages rolling it for the treats and chewing the outside to help clean his teeth. Definitely would recommend. For sizing the medium was perfect for my Jack Russell for any dog slightly bigger than him I would recommend getting the large.brontdartnel_0

Our dog loves to retrieve, and this ball is perfect for that. The ball floats so it is also great for water play. The minty smell is great, although it wears off fairly quickly. The ""large"" size is perfect for our 85 lb. retriever. We have been purchasing this ball for 3 years (we are on ball number 5 now), but the problem is that the company has changed the design of the ball. With the last two balls we've purchased, our dog has been able to quickly pull off all of the ""continents."" What is left is a solid colored ball, which is fine. However, I wish the design hadn't changed because the pieces he pulls off become a choking hazard. I wish the company would either go back to the original design (which lasted much longer) or come up with a safer solution. Unfortunately, this will be the LAST time we purchase this particular ball. It is too bad since I do love all of the other features, especially the nontoxic material and the size of the ball.
Had one for German shepherd.when we bought Australia shep they fought over it couldn't find another at local pet shops. So now bought 2 more one of each to match the color of dogs so we know who's is missing. First one lasted 3 years through mostly GS and 1 year through both . Well worth the price.Tommie S.

Kong toy donut for dogs. I bought this for my dog's birthday and he loves it! He plays with it for hours! He has managed to tear through the yellow fluff outer, but the main inner ring is holding up welll and he hasn't found the squeak yet! He's a Jack Russell so toys have to be pretty robust to withstand those teeth!! All in all a great toy.fudgedog16
I bought this for my staffie as ONE of his Christmas prezzies (I know, he got more than the grandkids!!) anyhoo, I chose the Kong brand as he has other toys from this brand still going. It was a bit pricey but I thought it would be worth it if it lasts. Exactly (and I counted) 10 seconds later, this was in pieces on the floor!! My dog enjoys the unpredictability of this toys movement when she drops it or we throw it and it bounces. She treats it like her pacifier too, always carrying it around just to hold something. And, of course, it’s a nice challenge to try to pull the green fuzz off of it, but it’s a bit harder for her to do that with a ring instead of a ball, which is good.Krista M.

This is my 3rd Kong ball. My dog Loves the Medium/Large size. Unfortunately, the way they have the sizing, they have medium/large and large/extra large. The lg/extra lg is a bit too big for my 35 lb dog and I ordered it by accident seeing only the word “large.” Once Petco accepts returns in store again, I will be taking it back. I’ve purchased the med/lg size now as well as purchasing one for a friend. Took away one star for that confusing sizing. Easy to see when you’re in the store but when ordering online, too easy to make a mistake that can’t be easily returned.TBDarren
I bought this to replace a medium version that had been completely trashed. Unfortunately this hasn’t been as robust as I had hoped. The squeak broke almost immediately, followed by the disc where it is located. I only allow ‘supervised’ use, but it was done and dusted within about half an hour’s playtime (2 x 15 minute sessions). She hasn’t managed to remove the tennis ball yet, so we are still enjoying it and I do believe there is a limit to what I can expect given my dog’s size/breed. She absolutely loves it, so I am happy!Caroline M
Just unboxed this and for Maverick 2yr old whippet, it was love at first squeak. Hasn't made it outside yet and he has worn him self out (yippee). He loves it, but hes now sleeping to recover😆 Would definitely recommend, but only comment would be that I won't be leaving it with him outside, as I think with some intense unsupervised chewing it might have a short life. Bought this on clearance at a local petco. It's pretty neat! The puzzle inside makes them work just a little bit harder than other puzzle toys that you just have to knock over. The only reason this gets 4 and not 5 stars is because the rubber material on the outside is not good for dogs. I bought one and discovered the dogs loved it. They loved it so much I wanted another in case anything ever happens to the original. Couldn't find it locally, but found it right away on eBay. Well made, easy to use, and the dogs love to eat their kibble from it. They use and abuse it pretty hard, but thankfully it is durable. My dogs are medium sized and this works perfectly for them. Great product as you get 2 balls in one. My German Shepherd loves these sort of treat balls & not only can he roll it but can pick it up & drop it to get treats out. Would have got 5 stars but because you unscrew the top off to put treats in & it is on the outside of the rubber ball, the dog will try to chew it to get it open! Needed a rubber cover that matches the ball. It is NOT something you should leave with your dog unsupervised otherwise it will be used as a chew toy.sej3071
