I have an 11th month old golden retriever/poodle aka: golden doodle. She is absolutely obsessed with balls. Overall, I love the Chuckit brand and in particular, this ball. The ball is sturdy and has stood up to puppy chewing and countless hours of fetch on rugged terrain. There is a hole in it which helps with breathing and the glow in the dark feature is a bonus for finding the ball in the evening if it gets lost, or a night time game of fetch. I use the launcher with it so it goes further and I don't have constant slimy hands. The one I purchase is XL and it works great for her size of 55lbs. I have purchased others in size large and they work well also. Any smaller than that could be a choking hazard for this size of dog. My dog has been obsessed with fetch since she was a pup. She will play for over an hour straight, each time retrieving the ball with as much fervor as the first. She’s in great shape because of it. These glow balls are a serious life saver at my place, we have a deaf cattle dog pup who we run at night time so we can have the beach to ourselves. This is my staffy's favourite ball of all time. He will not play with any other ball. He loves placing it in his mouth and biting down on it (I call it his pacifier as he is in his happy place when he has this ball) & also catching it in the air off the bounce when I throw it far from the chucker ball launcher. Bought Two of these – One for each grand dog home. Shipped to family member where we have Xmas and “Pup Pup”, the resident parcel inspector and delivery announcer went bonkers when the ball was removed from the shipping box. I would recommend this toy for a smaller dog or one who is not a powerful chewer. I know this is not intended to be a chew toy, but realistically, if you have a medium or large dog, they usually have a tendency to chew any toy you put in front of them. I have an English Pointer mix who normally destroys any toy I give him unless I get it from BullyMake or BarkBox. Unfortunately, neither offer a toy that compares to this one in terms of entertainment for your dog. He absolutely loved this toy so it is a shame that he was able to bite chucks out of it within 20 minutes. I can't find the pieces that he took out of it so I'm waiting to see if he passes them. If not, it will be a visit to the vet. He was so sad when I took it away from him and looked at me with those sad brown eyes. I would love to have one of stronger material that he could play with and not have to worry. Our dog loves to retrieve, and this ball is perfect for that. The ball floats so it is also great for water play. The minty smell is great, although it wears off fairly quickly. The ""large"" size is perfect for our 85 lb. retriever. We have been purchasing this ball for 3 years (we are on ball number 5 now), but the problem is that the company has changed the design of the ball. With the last two balls we've purchased, our dog has been able to quickly pull off all of the ""continents."" What is left is a solid colored ball, which is fine. However, I wish the design hadn't changed because the pieces he pulls off become a choking hazard. I bowl in across the living room thru the dining area into the kitchen over and over and over again. I wish I had a video to show but I can’t bowl and photo at the same time. I’m including a picture of Belle, the Vizsla wrecking ball, just so you know what she looks like. Our other dog, Rhett Butler, is content with tennis balls for dogs, but Belle takes the toupees off of them and eats the rubber. I have an American Staffordshire Terrier and an American Pitbull Terrier. As other owners of these breeds can likely attest they can pretty much destroy anything short of steel and concrete. I purchased all sorts of toys for my pups and nothing lasted more than ten minutes before having to take it away and through it in the trash due to being torn to pieces or in the process of. I bought toys from Kong, Supper Chewer, Bully Make and others. Every toy except for the standard Kong Cone and a rubber soda can made it. My wife found West Paw and I gave them a shot. These toys are fantastic! They have lasted for months! They are so good that I can actually let them play with these unattended. Take my word for it, if you have a doggo that can chew through anything then these are the toys you need. Coming back to buy another because it was stolen by another dog who loved it so much! This ball is incredibly bright when its starts to glow. I was shocked how little light it needed to "charge" and how much it lit up, even in the day light. It also gets a lot of air when using the chuckit stick. Also good to stick treats and peanut butter inside. This ball has also been practically indestructible for my dog who is a heavy chewer.NTJT
We have a 2yr female lab – adopted from petfinder. She’s like the energizer rabbit. She could fetch the ball all day. Here’s the scoop: The material is strong, unlike other balls, this has held up for, well so far 2 months – a lot longer than other balls. She loves to chew on it all the time. It really glows bright. We have a launcher not ‘Chuck it’ brand, but works just as well. So far the ‘Chuck it’ balls work the best with the launcher, the others we’ve tried don’t stay in the launcher that well. Here’s the only down side…it is really really bouncy. So far those who have a limited space will have to be careful not to loose it. We have approximately 25 yards of fenced in area for her to run. There’s a standard size metal fence at the end, beyond that is a big hill going down, which I end up playing fetch. So it’s not a big down size, it’s just a matter of space and how far and hard you launch the ball.AbbyLabby

I own a little curious and destructive French Bulldog. He is no match for the Geoball! The quality of material is great. the rubber has a lot of grip for his paws to hang onto. My dog loves this ball e.g. the lighting feature, squeaking noise and bouncing. The only bad thing is the lights go out early or stay lit and squeaky noise can go silent. But, we live with it as long as one feature works. Keep in mind when a large enough hole starts try to remove the battery. Bottom line it’s a fun toy.Don W.
Our dog likes this ball a lot. When I saw this product, my thoughts were: wow it lights up and squeaks, both very positive aspects. The first few I purchased I saw it had great light that alternated colors like no other pet toys. It is tough rubber surface, has a good bounce, and the light goes out in a few seconds. But, the light lasted for a bit then burned out. Ok, I understand it’s battery operated. The squeak varied. My dog must have a tough bite. Some of the balls did split in half. Some of the balls, something came loose inside. Whether it was the light, the squeaker or battery, I don’t know. I did toss it (for dogs safety) sometimes, the light stayed on and it finally died. No problem, I would replace it with another because it’s worth it; Everyone who has seen this item likes it. They all are getting them for their pets. However, the next one ordered never lit up or squeaked. I under nothing is perfect. I just used it to play catch with. Some of the balls worked for a day or two. I always will order another with the hopes of getting one that works longer periods. As for the packing, please let the plastic be a tear off or just have a peel tag. Because for some reason the plastic attach tags stick out of the ball and has a sharp needle like feeling. I will recommend buying this for your per. They’re fun. I even ordered more. My dog is an American Pitbull Terrier. She played with her Reddy black geo ball dog toy size large in October at home on her floor pillow. Pros: The ridges/design on the geo ball allow it to bouce and roll in different directions not just straight; this has enhanced the fun and entertainment for my dog while she plays. The geo ball is multiple purpose meaning my dog can chase it, fetch it, carry it, and chew on the ball. She can also take treats out of the hole in the center of the ball keeping her occupied and stimulated. The geo ball is light weight so it is easy for her to carry around and pick up. The ball is also easy to clean, comes in a small or large size, a variety of colors, and is made from recycled materials. Cons: The geo ball has a hole that goes completely threw the center of the ball where treats can be placed. However, the hole is to big so most treats fall out easily making it less challenging for my dog to retrieve the treats. The geo ball is not very durable nor is it made of strong material for heavy chewers like pitbulls. I purchased these balls a few weeks ago knowing hot Minnesota weather was coming and night time fun is the only way to excersize. The balls are amazing easy to turn on and off also very bright. The greatest thing is watching your dog run back to you with this ball in their mouth, all you see is a ball bouncing towards you as it’s too dark where I live to see your actual dog. We have now played with these on several occasions and they are holding up well. I have two golden retrievers who are really rough on toys and these are handling it well. I never give the dogs the ball unattended though knowing they would probably destroy them if I did as they do with many toys.
