My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. For the very few days we had before we had to go, I was keeping her hydrated and was spraying her face with the Vetericyn regularly (as directed) even as we headed out the door with one last treatment. We did cut our weekend trip short by a day out of concern for her, but when we came back she was doing significantly better in that the swelling was down, but was reddened again. Back to the spray treatment, make sure she got dropper-watered, and by that evening she was gingerly back to parking in her 'askance' spot hoping for bits of our chicken dinner! Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. We used this product on our grand dog. He was a scaly, crusty mess and had lost most of his hair. We took him to the vet and put him a regimen of medicated shampoo, oral antibiotics and an immunomodulator. We used the Skin Soother immediately after his daily bath. The hair started growing back and the dark skin was lightening up and becoming less dry and flaky. At the same time, my dog was scratching at it less so that was a plus. Only thing is this stick was practically gone by my second week. It would not have come close to lasting the month. That being said, I had to order another to see continued results but I ordered the larger tin instead. My only issue with this product is the tin is a lot harder to apply. The texture itself is not as soft and smooth as the stick. I also had to use my own hands to spread it on which I did not like at all. It also gets messy in the tin as my pug sheds so there is now hair stuck in the product. My recommendation to the company would be to have the stick in a larger option and I would gladly purchase that. However, currently I greatly regret purchasing two of the tins instead of the smaller sticks. All in all, this product works and I would buy it again! I have a mare who has super sensitive skin. She was out to pasture in the spring and before I could notice the gnats got to her belly and it was bad. She had hair falling out, was rubbed raw, swollen, itchy, scabby… I used this with a combo of fly/gnat spray every night after brushing and it was magically healed in a week. I thought the vet would have to give her steroids. She still has skin and hair to heal but from my experience I his stuff is amazing! I will always have a bottle of Banixx in my house now. I have a Great Dane mix that has severe skin sensitivities. She was developing yeast infections on her skin and nothing would work to give her relief. Her hair kept falling out. My big guy isn't exactly what you might call graceful. He's a dork. A giant clumsy dork. So little aches and pains are just a part of our life together. I'm taking ibuprofen because he's nearly pulled my shoulder out of socket after trying to run and hide from the wind and he's taking his doggy aspirin because he tripped over his own feet while running and now yelps every step he takes. These really do help. They're easy to give wrapped in a little bread or dipped in peanut butter. My only complaint is they're chewable but at least for my dog, he will absolutely not chew it on his own. Definitely recommend though especially at this price!jennifer.f
I combined this with Charlotte’s Web Hip and Joint hemp for my dog with osteoarthritis. She could barely walk for three days. After two hours of taking this she is running and playing around even in the cold weather. I won’t be giving her this product every day as it is aspirin but I will definitely add this to her treatment for pain as needed on those really bad days.Scarlett is happy

Bebe is one of my Min. PIns, and a show dog. When she was about 8 months old, my sister was taking her to a show in Ca. That morning Bebe, out in the yard got into a nest of ants. Everything seemed ok until my sister got to the show ground. Bebe was sick, running a temp, and had sores on both sides along her ribs, and down the backs of both back legs. By Sunday when my sister arrived home, Bebe had gaping open wounds on both sides of her ribs and down the backs of both hind legs. My sister had her on the meds the Vet in Ca had but Bebe on, but they were not doing much good. We had a bottle of vetericyn and my sister started using it twice a day on Bebe's wounds. By the next weekend, the wounds on Bebe were closed and looking ever so much better. At the end of the month she was all healed up. She does has some scaring on her back legs, but hard to see on "The Baby Bounching Ball!" That was 7 years ago, and she is still going strong. Unless the company can make smaller size pill then I will not purchase this item again. My dog had an uncoordinated walk, she would trip and lose her balance at times. Her rear limbs were her weakest. I used many other products that contained glucosamine/chondroitin etc for a while but didn't seem to help much, maybe prevented it from getting worse. I bought this product because it said it would ease her pain and discomfort and I'm sure it does because she has a lot more pep in her step and stays out longer during her walks.
