Bought the Bark Begone because one of our neighbor's dogs (1 of 4) would not stop barking when we were in her sight. She had not used a dog puzzle before but I knew the easier level puzzles wouldn't challenge her enough after I had observed her getting through a lot of other mental stimulation toys with ease. On her first use it took her 30 mins to complete it and the time has reduced considerably after each use. After 2 weeks of use she can now complete it in 10 minutes and I really enjoy watching her move all the pieces to get to her favourite treats. This puzzle is fantastic for mental stimulation and it really tires her out. You can also fit an entire meal of dry food in it so it is a great slow feeder and provides me with some time out. I bought this for the time after our pup got spayed, to keep her occupied during recovery. I love that there are no separate parts to get lost or chewed. The material is very durable and has not gotten scratched even though our dog paws at it quite roughly to turn the middle circle around. Excellent puzzle feeder, the middle disc can be easily removed as starting level. Our dog first quite easily figured out how to slide the knobs to reveal treats. When she mastered that, we added the disc back and had to help her a few times and show her how it works till she fully got it as it's much more challenging that way. You can fit quite a bit of dry food in it if you want to serve big part of their meal in it or you can simply put one or two crunchies in each compartment if you want to occupy your dog for a while without overfeeding them. Best thing, since sliced bread ! Like many other people I hesitated a long time to make the purchase due to the cost and could have saved myself a lot of sleepless nights if I bought this sooner. My neighbour has a German Shepard and another big dog. Their favourite time (although not the only time) is to bark through the night in close proximity to our bedroom window. Both dogs are untrained and the owners don't care about the nuisance their dogs are causing. The German Shepard's barking improved within a day. The other dog is older and still barks, but less and now goes to the other side of their property where the barking is not causing such a nuisance. We have mounted the device on our TV antenna on top of our roof due to the neighbour's property being higher than ours and will raise it more, which may perhaps help sort out the barking on the other side of the house as well. When the dogs are out of reach of the bark pick-up zone, I simply push the remote, which works great from almost my whole house. The remote and I are now inseparable when I am home. So far this thing is a lifesaver. I WILL say, we live on a city block, where about 6 yards converge in one area, with lots of fences between. We mounted ours from a 2nd story-patio pointing down into an adjacent yard where two VERY territorial dogs reside in the backyard. The owners let them randomly run in and out for every little noise they year through the doggy-door to bark for HOURS. The device is quite sensitive, I have to keep it turned down almost as low as possible so it doesn't go off randomly (in audible mode), for every little sound it picks up. But it does go off for the dogs, and it does seem to work on them because they'll immediately whine after 3 barks and then circle the backyard before heading back indoors. We have some great neighbors who have several dogs, one or two of which bark far too much. After several years of enduring it I decided to try this Ultimate Bark Controller. I mounted it to our house about 10 feet above the ground and pointed directly into their yard. I turned the sensitivity to max and set it on audible so I could tell when it was being triggered. Bought this for my 7 mo Queensland Heeler. Put a few training treats in each hole, covered it with the flap and then put the slide against the flap to make sure he had to do the two motions to get the treats. He had the first flap open in about 15 seconds. The flaps and slides have zero resistance so he didn't have to work to get them open. Our neighbor has two large dogs that barked at all hours of the day and night since they are never home. It's especially irritating when they both bark nonstop any time we try to spend time in our yard or are trying to sleep in on the weekends. We tested other bark products that they seemed to react to, but the batteries would drain quickly since the barking was so often. We decided to buy the dog silencer Max as a more permanent solution, and it works even better! The dogs can hear it all the way across their yard and it stops their habitual barking. Unfortunately, it didn't stop their barking when they see other dogs in the other neighbors yard, but that's understandable. I had such high hopes for this device. Our next door neighbor has two large dogs that bark every time they are outside, especially late in the evening and early in the morning. It has disrupted our sleep, most notably our four year old. Unfortunately, after nearly three weeks, we have heard no difference in the barking. It is just as frequent and the duration is just as long as before. I have it set to auto and I have even tried using the remote when the dogs bark, nothing happens, the dogs are unphased. It is installed on our deck railing, pointing directly at the center of the neighbor's yard, which is approximately 30 feet away. That's the center of their yard, the property line is about 6 feet from where it is mounted. There are zero obstructions. I had such high hopes and they have now been dashed. Our neighbors dog is a "rescue" animal from the Navajo Nation. The job of such a dog is to warn homeowners of nearby Intruders. Including neighbors, delivery drivers, visiting friends, Etc. My cocker spaniel x cavalier lives for food and is a very smart boy (too smart for his own good sometimes). He's been using this to eat his breakfast and dinner for about 6 months now and it's fantastic. The circular puzzle is very hard for him however. Let me prequalify this by saying that I am a fan of PetSafe Products. The Stay and Play Wireless fence and the Large Dog Citronella Anti-Bark Collars have worked flawlessly for my medium size indoor/outdoor pup. I also have a 1.5 year old Yorkie, and the PetSafe Elite Little Dog Spray Bark Control has design and operational flaws that I can't overlook: 1. The unit's sensor is not a typical rear sensor, and it doesn't pick-up normal barking unless it is high intensity (this is WHEN it works). 2. The unit does not last for the full amount of sprays. 3. The unit has to be at a high level of tightness to the point of almost choking the dog to remain in place in order to be correctly positioned to both pick-up the barking and deliver the spray. 4. The unit does not have an ON/OFF switch other than turning the battery, and then you have to manipulate even that when wanting to reset the bark counter. The bark counter should be reset in the electronics when the battery is removed if that's the case and reflect this in the refill directions for the spray. At the end of the day, I have use spray collars for my outdoor dog at my home for years, so I am familiar with the quirks. I have remained faithful to PetSafe, and they never let me down. The Elite Little Dog Spray collar is not up to their usually high standards. I have bought one, exchanged one, and bought another to give this product a fair chance, and I am heading to Petco this morning to return the last one as a disappointed customer. I have moved to an apartment from a home in the process of building a new house, so it is imperative that I be able to reinforce that excess barking is not acceptable. I bought two of these and neither of them worked. The first one worked for about a week of occasional use. Then it started leaking a steady, tiny hiss of spray from the intake hole. Months later, on a road trip w/now 2 small dogs I picked up 2 of the older, silver models that use the 6 volt batteries. They still work great (2 years later, intermittent use for overnights away from home or having exciting visitors that the dogs celebrate vocally, Enthusiastically, unceasingly. Also for occasional backyard relaxing if the neighbor kids get the dogs too excited.) I shared one with my sister for her dog on a hotel overnight and it was a revelation to her. I tried to buy her one but can only find the new “elites” with that proprietary battery so I caved, hoping the leaky one I had was a fluke. I got a few inconsistent sprays out of it, many barks without spray, then it just quit completely. I tried a new battery, refilled the spray and The lights did their thing correctly when I followed the steps to turn it on. Then I tested it by loudly barking right up against The back of it, tapping the back of it, holding it against my own throat and trying different tones of loud singing and yelling… nothing. I’ve wasted too much $ on the bad new design ones that don’t work. I really wish I could get another old silver model one to give my 4 legged niece. Obviously the requirement of a $15 proprietary battery makes this PetSafe’s preferred model to make, regardless of it’s consistent failure to function. Disappointing.JenMN
I must admit, I was skeptical of these kinds of products, but because my 12-year-old Shih Tzu has been exhibiting a lot of separation anxiety for the past few years–resulting in lots of barking and a neighbor complaining — I decided to give it a try. In short, it's been a God send! After wearing the collar for only one or two days, my dog got the "message," and stopped barking completely. In fact, she's become a much calmer dog as a result. I've had the product now for about six weeks now, and barking is no longer an issue. So, I am amazed and very happy with this product. I initially bought a shock collar, but didn't have the heart to use it on her, so I opted for this spray-style collar and couldn't be happier. I only have one minor complaint: Activating the collar requires turning a dial with a coin. Unfortunately, when turning, you have to be real precise and hit exact spot, which can be hard to do sometimes. If you turn a bit too far or not enough, it will not activate. So, you have to kind of fool around with it to find the precise "On" position. Other than this, I am very pleased.

Tried this product for over a month but to no avail. It has not stopped my terrier (shrill bark) or Rottweiler (deep bark) from barking at outside noises (including other dogs barking). Have tried placing the product in various places around the house but this did not work. The batteries have also just died so It is now time to call an end to this experiment.datawise
Batteries lasted 3 weeks. I am hoping it was a bad lot of batteries. Double sided tape is rubbish as they both have fallen to the ground and come apart. When you try and apply pressure to the unit to stick to a wall or window it clicks apart due to the flimsy plastic. When you return the battery slide back into housing it bends the contact and stops working. For $100 I expected better quality. These are only worth $10 each maximum. I bought this a few weeks ago and am happy with the service and delivery which all arrived on time. The units were easy to set up, just insert the batteries provided. Unfortunately, as soon as I turned on the units my poor little dog, age just 12 months and only 4 kilos, ran and hid in the garden, terrified. My daughter aged 17 also got an instant headache as she said she could hear the noise being emitted even though the dog was not barking! We only left it on for minutes, and the dog then came back in. We have tried this a couple of times since and the dog reacts the same way each time and so does my daughter! I have contacted the help line and they advised to contact the manufacturers, which I did, and they advised they could be faulty units, but also that some animals and humans can hear the noise! I have been offered a replacement which I may try. The alternative is a collar spray but much more expensive. No wonder those that buy these units for neighbours dogs find them so effective, they are afraid to move!Yvonnie

She is a mixed breed whose dominant behaviours reflect her Australian Cattle Dog DNA, and when she gets fixated on something (our cat, our food, us) this Pet Correcter is the only thing we've found that can bring her out of the fixation. So I bought this today , mostly out of because my nerves are gone from a dog I have that barks at EVERYTHING. I have a dog who had a very bad and dangerous habit of chasing cars. I tried everything to fix this including: high frequency sounds, treats and positive reinforcement, training, vibrations, physically restraining and even an e collar. Both my dogs took to it quickly. I decided to try it out only for extra stimulation. One dog is an awfully fast eater so I eventually figured this would be a good “slow” feeder for her.
