Worked great kept my chihuahua in the yard after only a few days of training. the sad part is we had him finally trained to stay in the yard wo a lead and a neighbors pit (one of 4) dug under their fence and attacked him & me. Although he survived The initial attack (and the shock collar survived as well as it was bitten off & scratched but still works) my dog died a week later from complications before surgery. Now i wish Id let him run out of the yard, hed obviously have been safer. Still a great item worked great and it wasnt the collars fault. Id recommend this item to someone even w an older dog. This works great on my Pomeranian. I needed something to keep him from running into the road, onto the school bus with my kids, or into the neighbors yards. I don't even have to use the shock setting, the vibrate setting on 80-100 works wonders. He now comes when I call him without me having to use it. The only negative thing about this collar is that you have to pair it every time you recharge it, and one time I forgot. Definitely worth the money.Winter
This is an effective tool to train your dog with options to not have to shock the dog unnecessarily. The collar has a good range as my dog has come running back from 4 houses down on the first day when we used it the first time. It has a beep warning that has been very effective in the training process. As soon as my dog hears that beep it stops and sits. It also has a vibration that I use instead of the shock that is very effective. It has an intensity level that can be set. I was so impressed with how long and how well this works. It controls my Gsd and CO dogs. The battery life is amazing on the collars! Mine are used daily and they are still charged a month later. The shock has a good range with a huge difference. From light shock to a heavy shock. The same for Vibration.The tone is amazing , each level is a different sound. My dogs have their own tone for individual correction. The collars are colored and I marked on the unit adogs color, b dogs color and same for c dog.. I couldnt be happier with a more expensive unit than this one. I tried the aeterek Garmin 3 dog shock collar(same priced name brand) and was disappointed as the settings were all the same as were the tone and vibrate. Also the maximum level of shock was not strong enough for my dogs.the price on this 3 dog system is very competitive. Cons: The sound feature is too weak and lame to get the attention of any dog. The remote is clunky and bigger than necessary and the buttons are badly arranged. You must select the function first before you send a command to the collar. The instructions are overly complex and confusing due to poor product design. This is the second training collar I purchased since August. I bought an Oxford and that didn't last. I liked some of the Oxford features over this EasyPet Collar. This collar system is better made and I expect will last longer. While I like the multiple levels of each of the sound, vibration, and shock getting to the setting in a hurry doesn't happen. I have two pit bull mixes. The sound, any level, works for one of the dogs, but not the other. I have moved to the vibration correction for him. This works well as does the shock. He returns to me with both of these. I do suggest putting a sensor on the remote as when the dog is returning after being corrected and cannot see the trainer (as he was deep in the woods) perhaps a sound on the remote would aid the dog's quicker return. I'm suggesting this as he came out of the woods at a different point than where I was. My second suggestion is making the recharging plug on the collar easier to insert. The plug seems flimsy and is hard to secure on it. Since it is so important for the plug to be in to maintain the waterproof feature it should be easier to put in. These collars work great with a little bit of time and training. After a year of use, with supervision, I can now take my dogs (Basenji & G.Shep) outside on our 3 acres without the collars because they have now learned the boundaries. My favorite feature of these collars is the nightlight and the beep function. The nightlight is perfect for going out at night and keeping my eyes on where each dog is located. The beep function is fantastic, my dogs have learned the beep means to turn around and come back. During training I used the shock function (level 8 & I did test the level of intensity on my own leg) only a handful of times when absolutely necessary and it's never used now. Both dogs now respond to the beep and if they're chasing a deer they'll stop to the vibrate function. The two CONS I have with these collars are the rubber covers for the progs come off so easily when the dogs are wrestling and get lost constantly. The other con is that I've had the collars close to a year now and the rechargeable batteries within the device are dying. The collars are on charge constantly now so that they are charged up for when they are needed. The collar dies within about 8 hours before it needs a charge even if it's turned off. Whereas when I first got them the charge lasted about a week. This is after treating them correctly, turning off when not in use and only charging when needed.Elizabeth R.
I have used this collar for 2-3 years now, I went with it as it is one of the highest rated collars when researched. I do run into technical difficulties as you do with anything else and have had no problem with having them replaced. I favorite part is the range and diverse control settings. When my dogs are out of the yard, I just hit the sound button and they know they have went to far and to get back. They come usually immediately. My least favorite part is the product does not seem to last very long.. in the two to three years I’ve used this, I have had to get a few replaced and all with different problems. I recently bought a brand new set of two, and I am very happy. I just have a problem with one of them flashing the green light constantly while the device is on and the battery life on that specific collar does not last. I love how the vibration & shock can be set from 0-99. The sound tones are also pitched slightly different for each collar & has the option to add a third collar. I’ve had this for months & the battery in the remote lasts extremely long. I think I’ve only charged it once. The collars last days as well. The only thing I wish was easier is the ability to switch over from each channel. When you switch from shock to vibrate, the first click is to switch over, then the second click actually vibrates the collar (& vice versa). When switching over to the other channel, you have to follow the same procedure. Which is fine for normal circumstances. But, when it’s an emergent situation, that extra time it takes to shock/ vibrate the other collar can make a huge difference & lead to a struggle in a stressful situation.Erin

I have a crazy dog that is a Lab-Pointer. He was the worse in his puppy class. I have trained dogs before, big dogs and hunting dogs. This guy doesn’t get it! He gets the trading collar though. I have had this for months. I only shocked him once. I rarely “ buzz” him on a low vibrational mode to stop unwanted behaviors like over exuberant jumping on visitors. It works. I'll first start by saying I never do reviews. However I was at my wits end with our nine month old chiweenie. I thought my husband was going to kill me and the dog…and I was praying my neighbors did not have guns because this little 8 pound cutie barked like a 100 lb squealing pig at anything and everything! Previous to this device I tried the citronella collar and the ultrasonic remote. Neither phased her. I will say on day one I thought this thing was a piece of junk. I called pet safe and learned that the collar needs to be tightly fitted on the dogs neck or it will not work. After adjusting the collar and I was still on the phone with the representative my Daisy girl went outside and I witnessed it working immediately. We still have some light barking which I imagine occurs before the strengthened static but it is completely manageable. I will say after reading the reviews we have lucked out with the battery… It has been in use with an aggressive Barker for a month and still has not needed to be replaced. I bought two Basic Static Bark collars to help alleviate my puggle's and beagle's separation anxiety barking when we are not at home. The collars are fitted properly and in accordance with instructions and the batteries are working, yet BOTH dogs continue to bark. The biggest problem is that both collars tend to move to one side of the dogs' necks, so the dogs are probably not receiving the static correction. The directions state to "REPOSITION THE COLLAR ON THE PET'S NECK EVERY 1 TO 2 HOURS.." Obviously, if we are not home, this is impossible to do. I wasted almost $100 on collars that do not work on either dog. Petsafe customer service recommended that I should purchase the more expensive Deluxe Petsafe Collar. No thanks. I bought this about a week ago after I received a complaint from a neighbor and was given a warning from our HOA for disturbance. We had just moved in about a month ago and didnt want to make enemies. My dog barks at everything. From shadows, birds to airplanes. I decided to give this a try. I am a professional dog trainer and tried this out for two reasons. The first is to help give clients a good remote for a good value and not ask them to spend $200 or more. The second was to try and find a remote that would be effective on more stubborn dogs that were not responding to collars that maxed out on them on level 7 or other e-collars that were so gentle they were not effective. I am pleased with this remote, and still am, for both of the reasons that I purchased it for. My dogs that max out on other collars (like sport dog and e collars technologies) on the highest level respond quickly and nicely to this collar on level 10! They do not yipe or shut down which is a bonus, but the correction is enough to stop the unwanted behavior. I like this collar so much I have recommended it to several clients as well as bought a second collar for home. 🙂 The only features I do not like about this collar is there is no tone that the collar is turned off, only turned on, there is no battery indicator for the collar or remote, and the remote goes into a sleep mode where you have to press a button to turn it back on before a correction can be made. This can cause a slight delay in the correction of the dog, but with proper e-collar instruction from a trainer this can be managed.electrafried

This collar is 100% useless. I bought it because I noticed that under "Guardian" it said, "By PetSafe". My sister has a PetSafe bark collar that she uses for her German Shepherd, and it works perfectly. I figured this would be essentially the same, since it was roughly the same price. I was wrong. The collar DOES NOT WORK. I mean, the test it instructs you to do before putting it on the dog, showed that the collar itself was not broken or nonfunctional. It did exactly what it was supposed to– when you run the prongs along a flat surface for at least 10 seconds, it will beep & a red light will flash. So, it was tested & appeared to be functional. I put it on my 47 pound, 9 month old female Pitbull, & it did NOTHING. She barked right through it… I gave it hours, thinking maybe it just had to work up to a higher level. But nope. She just barked more and more and more. I promptly returned this to the Walmart store I purchased it from, and now I'm back on the hunt for one that does work. I may end up having to spend double. But I'd rather spend double for one that DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO, than save money and have a useless piece of plastic strapped to a cheap, flimsy collar. Which is another thing…. the collar itself is VERY VERY VERY cheap. It's like dollar store material. The plastic buckle is flimsy and light. The buckles that adjust the collar size are the same flimsy material, and they DO NOT HOLD. The collar does not stay fitted or firm. It loosens right up. I even threaded the other end through the buckle so that it had THREE layers of collar, and it STILL didn't stay. This collar is poorly made, and 100% nonfunctional. We have 2 Puggles, one of them is overly vocal and the 2nd tends to follow what the older one does. We adopted our loud mouth when he was a little over 5 years old, I'm pretty sure his barking is what landed him in the shelter in the first place. We have tried many other items to try to curb his barking none of which have worked. The sonic egg surprisingly worked for about 2 days before he started barking louder to drown out the sound of it. When I say overly vocal, I mean he barks at anything and everything. Not just a little bark, but an ear piercing headache causing bark. He barks when someone nocks on the door, at people walking down the street, and all delivery trucks. He even barks when someone he has seen and knows well comes over wearing something unfamiliar to him, like a baseball cap. For 4 years now we've been patient with him, but recently a neighbor complained about how he barks at ALL the delivery trucks. The last thing we want is to have problems with neighbors. So, we finally broke down and searched for a decent bark collar that wouldn't break the bank especially being only a few days before Christmas. I was a little hesitant that anything would work being that he's over 9 years old. To my surprise this thing works exactly as described, and we are loving the peace and quiet. The first day we put it on him, he ran to the fence to bark at an unfamiliar truck driving down the street. He let out the first bark no problem, but after the second bark he yelped and that was it. He's never made it beyond a second bark. The second day he barked only once at the mail truck and stopped, he knows the first bark wont do anything. I'm good with him barking once, just not continuously for 5-10 minutes straight. We take the collar off him at night because he's usually pretty quiet at night anyway, but first thing in the morning it goes back on him. He's quiet when he's wearing it, and honestly seems happier to me now that he's not focused on barking at everything. He can still do his low happy excited howl when he greets us without setting off the collar so I'm happy about that. I'm going to give him about 3 months of wearing it during the day and then we'll try him without it. My younger dog is also being quiet because his brother isn't constantly barking anymore. I have 2 ANNOYING dogs that we love SO VERY MUCH!! lol We live in a subdivision where we have tons of cars, tons of bikers, tons of walkers, tons of kids getting on and off the bus, and wildlife at night. MY DOGS HATE COMING INSIDE AND CANNOT STAND ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THE FAMILY OR ANY OTHER ANIMAL IN THEIR SIGHT RANGE! So our shed outback is their "doghouse" with heat lamps and cozy bedding. I've bought about 4 different outdoor barking systems from Amazon and Petsmart that looked like inconspicuous birdhouses, but they never worked well or lasted long. We would use sound machines at night to drown them out!! If we knock on the windows during the day, they used that as a signal to stop, but they would only stop long enough to run to the backdoor before they were off barking at anyone and everything again!! This Guardian Bark Collar is AMAZING for us, and I'm SURE our neighbors think so too!! When we do hear barking, we know it is either needing a new battery or the collars need to be tightened. After a year of use, with supervision, I can now take my dogs (Basenji & G.Shep) outside on our 3 acres without the collars because they have now learned the boundaries. My favorite feature of these collars is the nightlight and the beep function. The nightlight is perfect for going out at night and keeping my eyes on where each dog is located. The beep function is fantastic, my dogs have learned the beep means to turn around and come back. During training I used the shock function (level 8 & I did test the level of intensity on my own leg) only a handful of times when absolutely necessary and it's never used now. Both dogs now respond to the beep and if they're chasing a deer they'll stop to the vibrate function. The two CONS I have with these collars are the rubber covers for the progs come off so easily when the dogs are wrestling and get lost constantly. The other con is that I've had the collars close to a year now and the rechargeable batteries within the device are dying. The collars are on charge constantly now so that they are charged up for when they are needed. The collar dies within about 8 hours before it needs a charge even if it's turned off. I just have a problem with one of them flashing the green light constantly while the device is on and the battery life on that specific collar does not last. When you switch from shock to vibrate, the first click is to switch over, then the second click actually vibrates the collar (& vice versa). When switching over to the other channel, you have to follow the same procedure. Which is fine for normal circumstances. But, when it’s an emergent situation, that extra time it takes to shock/ vibrate the other collar can make a huge difference & lead to a struggle in a stressful situation.Erin

Purchased the Petsafe Basic Bark Control Collar – PBC19-10765 in March 2019. Fast forward 7 months, I wish I had purchased The BarkCollar by DogWatch – No Bark Trainer BT-7 in the first place. Spending the extra money and doing your research is worth it! We have a Labrador and we noticed a sudden change in her behaviour when we moved house. 5am pedestrians and dog walkers and foxes passing by would set her off and we’d often have to get out of bed to give positive reinforcement or bring her inside. In the beginning, I purchased the the Petsafe Basic Bark Control Collar – PBC19-10765. It came with free Replacement Batteries and I purchased an extra pack to save on future postage. Initially, our Labrador responded quickly and barking reduced, however, I don’t believe this was the correct unit for our girl. Her irritability and persistent barking returned to full on annoyance after about four weeks. We replaced the first two complementary batteries, every 4-6 weeks and by August, I purchased 2 replacement Petsafe Red Nylon Straps, as they deteriorate and become too loose. After months of persevering, I returned to Bark Control website to do some further research. In October, purchased The BarkCollar by DogWatch – No Bark Trainer BT-7 and I wish I had done this in the first place!
