Bought a second collar to be able to sync with my existing collar and two-channel controller. The new collar uses a different power mode and syncing system and is not compatible with the older version, so you will have to just carry two controllers. Still a good product. I still would have bought the second collar even if I knew they werent compatible. I shouldnt be surprised that the technology was updated.aceshigh505

DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF ILL DESIGNED JUNK!!!!! The buttons are ill conceived with the "Mode" button large and center. The mode button changes the collar from light, tone, vibrate or shock. The "fire" button is located in the upper right and is hard to locate-impossible without looking at the unit so this piece of junk is useless for what it was supposedly designed to do. You will spend your time screwing around with the control unit rather than giving your dog timely correction and input. And it HAS NO LOCK BUTTON!!!! It will fire accidently and at level 99 and SHOCK YOUR DOG FOR NO REASON!! Don't waste your money on this piece of GARBAGE!Marie

The default settings are made to cover any liability of the manufacture, there to low to have any effect on the dog. I had to increase the intensity on all modes I have only used this a few times but suspect this won`t be strong enough to train my dog. This might work on a small dog, and like I said I just started using the collar and have yet increase the power past 70.rikstark69

We use the collar to curb excessive barking from our 65 lb German Shepherd mix. We start with vibrate as a warning and if needed go to shock. (Lowest setting works fine for us) I also tested the shock on myself and though unpleasant, was not painful. After about two or three warning vibrate to shock transitions, our dog has learned the sequence of events. Rarely do we need to go to shock anymore. The warning vibrate curbs the barking. My only complaints are that the vibrate and shock buttons are too similar and I feel the potential to accidently press them is high. Also, there is a small beep with every button press that I could do without. Long story short… If this one breaks, I'll probably reorder the exact same one.scooter5.9

This little e-collar does everything it should do, it is small enough I used it on my 10 pound poodle. She thought she was going to chase the cat and by mistake (my fault) I hit the shock button instead of vibrate, she did get a good shock as it was set on 20 but she now can be stopped from even thinking of chasing a cat or chicken. I only need the vibrate with her, and she only needed the collar for about a week she just needed to know I could reach out and touch her even at a distance. I would like to add,she knew her commands consistently on leash before the collar was used A few months latter I know have a different opinion. I cannot get it to keep a charge, five minutes tops,, I wish it had a some interior battery to change so it would charge again. My newest thought is I would not buy again. We have a Border Colley, that was a year old when we got him from a couple the that had gave up training him. He is very intelligent to intelligent for his own good, he would sneak off and bother the neighborhood and neighborhood animals. After using this collar 3 days the audio and vibrant is all needed after stocked one time. He doesn't even try to run off unless in his house collar, As soon as he feels the training collar on he turn into a different dog. We had actually talked about considering re-homeing Him ourselves this collar was going to be our last attempt to keep him. Before search for him a new suitable home with hundreds of acres rather than our small 10 acres , our closest neighbors our about 300 and 500yrds though heavy timber the collar works great at that distance have used it up to about 600-800 yrd across open field that's about as far as clear line of sight we have or need it to work for our needs works wonderful. We would have paid 10X the amount ask after using it the very first time. Rather than all the searching , driving around neighborhood looking half the night for a run away Fast moving Pet. PS, we have mode (A) set to lowest settings, mode (B) set to medium settings, mode (A/B) set to maximum settings. Was reticent to get a shock collar, I could NEVER hurt any animal, but only had to shock him ONCE in two weeks ! He is a different Dog ! As long as you follow the "Command, beep, vibrate order?" He now stops his running away, AND drops any "food" he finds usually just from the beep ! Half the time just the command works ! (Which NEVER did) He knew I was too old to catch him, so there was never any consequence to his misbehavior. I truly feel this thing will probably save his life, either by not getting run over, or from a blockage or poison he'd pick up on the walks. Labs eat EVERYTHING !sobrmn5

We love this collar. We purchased another shock collar previously and this one is by far superior. The battery life is great and my dog responds to the beep, vibrate, and I rarely have had shock him bc the other 2 work so well. This collar has a long range and I am able to beep him when he is doing something he shouldnt outside without having to be close to him. I love that this remote locks so our little ones dont shock him. This has helped us teach him the behaviors to avoid and he has become such a better dog. I cant say enough positive things about this collar.cjberry103

Decent quality. Good sound, vibration and shock. It is nice that they can be done separately. Some dogs do not require shock. Water resistant to a point. The last one we had eventually shorted out. The small rubber plug gets damaged/destroyed and water gets into the unit and it is done.rawheeler59

I have an adopted fur-baby that had a lot of control and behavior issues. Training, the usual way was just not working. I tried this and, within one day, the disruptive behavior (running and tearing up things in the house, jumping from one piece of furniture to another, non-stop barking) all stopped. He began with sitting, immediately after only two "vibrations" of the collar. By the end of the week, all I had to do was take out the remote control, say the words of sit, stay, no and wait, and he did so. Now, I don't have to use the remote at all but just say the words. I will tell you that, under no circumstances would I recommend the "shock" feature. Because it is easily changed on this model, by accident, I found out, the hard way just how much it hurts the animal. If you click MODE, by accident, from it being on vibrate, it switches over to Shock. BE VERY CAREFUL when you are about to use the Y button, for sound or vibration as, if it's on shock–and this was the very low setting–the dog whelps loudly and jumps, shakes, etc. I would not recommend it for any animal lover as, I don't even want to know what it feels like. Because the vibration is strong, even on low settings, and the other setting of "beep" is a high frequency sound, I found them the most effective. Thebeep sound is for Guiness (my new family member) to come–I use the vibration for correction, when needed. Guiness was the most difficult dog that I have worked with and I have behavioral training for dogs, which I have used for all of my pets. If this worked on him, it will work on most dogs that have behavioral issues. I would recommend it for the vibration and sound settings–and hope to get one that doesn't have the shock setting as, I feel that is just inhumane to use on a dog (my opinion after seeing how he reacted, on just a low setting). I have had the collar only a few days and so far it has met every expectation. We had a more expensive name brand training collar before this one which my dog somehow removed and chewed to oblivion. Rather than spend over $150 to replace it I wanted to try out a cheaper alternative in the likely event he ruins another one in the future. He had already been familiar with a training collar so going to this one was no problem. I like having a beep tone as well as a vibrate warning before having to go with a full on shock. I have so far only had the use the warning tone which is nice and loud on this collar and the pup recognizes it right away. It seems to have decent distance, have not tested the claimed 330 yards yet though. For the price it is a great unit with nice features. The more expensive one we had before was much more robust but I didnt expect this to be built the same for 1/5th the price, with that said it is built well, surprisingly well for the money honestly. Have not tested the waterproof ability yet as we dont live near water but it looks like it should be fine to get wet without issue. Battery life seems good so far, going on several days without a recharge but we dont use it all day either. Overall I am so far satisfied with it, I would recommend this toanyone who wants an inexpensive training collar but I dont expect it to last for years like the other one we had.kerr8719

Tested on an open field with the collar in line of sight, the range is roughly 150 feet. That said, I strongly doubt if any of the other e-collars can do much better without extraordinary antennas. Here in the US the transmitting power of devices like this is severely limited by law, so the only way to get more range than the competition is to have more prominent antennas. This collar delivers on a 2 year old high drive, 78 pound, male doberman. I used the shock once at 30 and it definitively got a yelp and the dog's attention. Since then the "vibrate" mode is effective enough. Most of the time we use the collar to stop barking at the window, The dog barks we say "quiet" and if, and only "if", the dog immediately barks again he gets a "vibrate". He seems to avoid barking immediately after a "quiet" command. Now the challenge is to extend the time he doesn't bark for at least 30 seconds after a "quiet" commend. Our second and very infrequent application is open field recalls. For that I'd dearly love an electric collar with a 100 yard range, but even this collar's 50 yard range is helpful. Using an e-collar in an open field is a tricky business. What seems to work is to put the collar away until you have a good recall without distractions. Even 10 feet in a hallway or tennis court teaches you and your dog how to do a recall that ends with the beast sitting nicely in front of you and getting a tasty reward. Never repeat your recall command even if it means constantly dragging the animal back until it figures our what you expect. What the e-collar is then useful for is dealing with distractions — another dog, an annoying squirrel or even sniffing a bit of chicken soup spilled nearby. Issue your recall command and look for that momentary hesitation when the animal decides to ignore you and hit the e-collar to remind the beast that you just gave a command. Any other timing and the animal has no clue and would just as easily take off in the opposite direction to get away from the unwelcome stimulation. One feature I miss is a combination tone/shock. I was so impressed with how long and how well this works. It controls my Gsd and CO dogs. The battery life is amazing on the collars! Mine are used daily and they are still charged a month later. The shock has a good range with a huge difference. From light shock to a heavy shock. The same for Vibration.The tone is amazing , each level is a different sound. My dogs have their own tone for individual correction. The collars are colored and I marked on the unit adogs color, b dogs color and same for c dog.. I couldnt be happier with a more expensive unit than this one. I tried the aeterek Garmin 3 dog shock collar(same priced name brand) and was disappointed as the settings were all the same as were the tone and vibrate. Also the maximum level of shock was not strong enough for my dogs.the price on this 3 dog system is very competitive. Cons: The sound feature is too weak and lame to get the attention of any dog. The remote is clunky and bigger than necessary and the buttons are badly arranged. You must select the function first before you send a command to the collar. The instructions are overly complex and confusing due to poor product design. The collar does not turn itself off when not in use and the range is iffy. Pros: It looks nice and appears well made. It is the best of the three I have tried. It functions well and reliably. This is the second training collar I purchased since August. I bought an Oxford and that didn't last. I liked some of the Oxford features over this EasyPet Collar. This collar system is better made and I expect will last longer. While I like the multiple levels of each of the sound, vibration, and shock getting to the setting in a hurry doesn't happen. I have two pit bull mixes. The sound, any level, works for one of the dogs, but not the other. I have moved to the vibration correction for him. This works well as does the shock. He returns to me with both of these. I do suggest putting a sensor on the remote as when the dog is returning after being corrected and cannot see the trainer (as he was deep in the woods) perhaps a sound on the remote would aid the dog's quicker return. I'm suggesting this as he came out of the woods at a different point than where I was. My second suggestion is making the recharging plug on the collar easier to insert. The plug seems flimsy and is hard to secure on it. Since it is so important for the plug to be in to maintain the waterproof feature it should be easier to put in. I do like this product better than the Oxford I purchased so far.MaryP

We bought these training collars 5 yrs ago. As dog owners this is the BEST investment/tool we've ever bought! We bought the 2 collar in 1 pack, in case 1 collar broke we'd have a backup. That ended up working out well because we got a German Shepherd 2 yrs down the road. Both of my girls are so well behaved with the collars on! We have only had to use the static maybe 5 times between the both of them. Once they learned it was their correction the beep worked from then on. My girls play rough. I've dropped the hand controller at least 100x's and everything still works like the day we bought it! It's help teach our girls the yard perimeter, walk off leash in the neighborhood, and get their attention when let out late if they start barking. After seeing so many bad reviews for other collars I wanted to save anyone else from other brands. You can't beat the price on this collar. It charges way faster than others (experience w/this frustration). The handheld piece seems to never need to be charged. They give you great advice on trainingafogle

We have a new , very smart and very active male german sheperd puppy. The boys can be a little harder to train . I got this initially because he howled in his kennel literally all night unless somebody slept next to the kennel . I only use the vibrate function, and thats been enough to stop even his most persistent behaviors. Its seriously crazy how well this works! I wish I’d tried one in the past with our other dogs. From the beginning whenever id press the button he would immediately stop and sit at attention. Id already taught him sit , lay down and stay before we got the collar. Its pretty hilarious because sometimes i buzz him and he sits down , then he looks around trying to figure out what got him 🤣 I highly recommend getting one of these to train your dog. It takes so much less effort to push a button for persistent behaviors . We have five kids , so the house is pretty hectic at times . Have bought two collars for two separate uses the 1900S and YS600 both are working perfectly for their intended purposes, the 1900S I love the way the remote allows greater control so the action can be more closly aligned with the action you want to correct without the harassment of searching for the controller and the button, better for me and better for the dog.Michael F.

This my 2nd Dogtra collar setup, and this one feels far bette in quality. The collar does sit a little tighter on the dog's neck, so I go one notch loser than normal. Remote feels a lot better than past one. Smaller tighter feel, and cleaner touch effect.swingboy01

I have been using these collars for a few weeks now on my 75 lbs pitbull and my 20 lb chihuahua/sheltie mix and they have been awesome. I have only used the beep and vibration and have made a world of difference in my house. my pitbull would jump and paw at us for attention which was hurting us due to his size. the beep stops the behaviors immediately and rarely have had to vibrate him. my pit also was being extremely possesive of food and starting fights at meal times. the beep makes him.stop instantly and he sits down. my chihuahua mix has a problem with getting on the table and stealing food and also barking non stop. he isnt as affected by the beep as my pitbull so I tend to have to use vibrate more often with him but he is slowly getting on the table less and less. I dont know why I waited so long to try these but I guess it's because I was one of those people who said they would never use a shock collar. I'm so glad I tried these collars before making any drastic decisions due to behavioral issues. the only downside/complaint I have is the charger comes with 2 ports so you can only charge one collar and the remote at the same time. if they are being sold in a 2 pack there should be suffice chargers to charge all 3 at the same time which is why I only gave 4 stars. the collars also tend to need to be resynced but it's an easy process to do.overall I'm very happy with the collarMandy

This collar works great! We have a 135 pound Saint Bernard that likes to run into our pasture with the cows. It definitely has enough kick to get her attention and the collar has plenty of room. All of the advertised capabilities work well , the directions for set up and use are easy to follow ,the collar comes with a testing block which nice , (I dont the shock function) the reason I rated it four 1/2 stars is the actual collar piece is made of plastic . The transmitter will not charge, despite my having ordered a new battery. The collar receives and charger work just fine, but the transmitter does not work well…it lost its charge and I can't recharge it…so it's a very expensive one-time-use collar. Used this item with two dogs, both strays. One vets says was probably born in wild. Both been with us about 2 years now but both run free whenever they can. Used collars without the probes fitted. worked one morning with them, Tone not bad but vibrant works a treat. Now tone works well. Both dogs now stay within bounds. When my back is turned they get way but I can now get them back with tone only. Had it now just short of a week. Should have got it years ago.HappyTony

First I want to say that if you are going to use a training collar you read, follow, and refer to the enclosed directions so you know what to do and how everything works. Don’t just charge this item up and test features on the go. Knowing how the product works and how to work it, makes this item very user friendly and with common sense can do very well for the consumer and his/her pet. There is a little dog shaped info card in the box and it has a you tube channel link to it and these are very nice if you prefer to watch these sorts of things for more information on the product. I have used a different collar from this same company for my bloodhound with tremendous success. Keep in mind that he’s 100 lbs. and only a year old. This device when I used it worked very well. I substituted this collar for a number of walks/training sessions and use it when around the house and not in hunting/tracking related environments that tend to be a little harsher than the home and surrounding area. I did not use this collar out to or over 300 yards which it is rated for but did test it out to approximately 150 yards (line of sight) and it worked without any issue. I charged the remote and the receiver until they were fully charged before I first uses it. The charging cords and plug-in are very simple and easy to use and I had no issues. This entire system is travel friendly. The receiver and collar fit well on even my large breed (large neck) dog and the collar is easily adjustable and not to narrow and will be adequate for large to small breeds. I would recommend that if you have a dog that is extra-large/giant and known to pull or plow while on a lead that you use a different collar along with this training collar. The D-ring on this collar was not used for lead attachment with my large dog who is sometimes a puller, but was sturdy when I examined it and snapped a lead onto it and I believe would work as an all-around good collar with the receiver for medium to smaller size dogs. I would not fasten any ID tags to this collar since it is recommended and anyone using a training collar knows to not have this on your animal all the time (maximum 12 hours). The receivers different sized contacts or screws easily can be attached and changed and hold their place (always check on them after you take off and before using again – any contact on any receiver can come loose with wear and time). When testing the shock stimulus on the receiver, the test light is easy to use and functional. The receiver continues to hold a good charge even for being used (mostly alert tone) and stored when not in use, same with the transmitter. I found the small LED light on the receiver to be useful but not an adequate location finder. I have a clip-on separate flashing LED light I use during low light environments. This feature saves you from having to make that purchase and is functional with this receiver, but the further distance you have from your dog, the less useful this feature is. If your dog has really long hair the LED light on the receiver may be completely hindered but overall even in the dark or low light it was a smart feature of this product. Pairing the receiver and transmitter was very easy (just follow the directions). The transmitter was a little small for my big hands but my wife liked it just fine. The side buttons used for adjusting stimulus strength up and down were small for me, but I had no issues. We did use this collar when it was drizzling outside and by no means a downpour but there was no issue with the water resistance of the transmitter or receiver with standard use (note the transmitter is not listed as water resistant but the receiver is). I liked the LED light function on the transmitter and when in the dark or low light, it is kind of handy to have just to see around your general area both indoors and outside. The transmitter is user friendly and functional, the display is easy to read and its icons and numbers are easy to recognize and to know what you are doing. The settings for the stimulus is from 0 -100 giving you a wide range of selection for how the stimulus is applied and can be very useful depending on your pet. I also like the function that you can pair more than one receiver to the transmitter. This is handy when you have and want to use the training collar with two dogs at once. I recommend buying another receiver if you don’t have two in your original purchase, either for two dogs or to have a collar on standby in case your battery dies and you need or want to use the collar and don’t want to wait for a recharge. The recharge is relatively fast though and is within or around 2 hours for full recharge. One thing to note is the smart, standby technology the receiver has. It goes on standby after 20 seconds of no operation and after 20 minutes will shut off. Also, the receiver if on your pet is not used for 4 minutes it goes into standby mode until there is movement and then will automatically turn back oBHMK

Initially didnt think it would work on my pit digging by the fence. The receiver comes with three different size / length "prongs" that are covered in rubber for your dogs protection. The shortest one is what came on it and it didnt seem to be reaching through his hair and touching skin. I moved up one size and it is totally effective. I hardly ever use the shock. I simply use the beeper and if he keeps digging I used the vibrate which is similar to your cell on vibrate but more extreme. He immediately stops and tries to figure out what is going on. That little bit gets him sidetracked enough to concentrate on doing his business and them coming back inside. Highly impressed by the cost and functionality. Totally would recommend, unless your dog had super thick hair like a chow. Might not be as effective.TravisS

The collar worked as described. At first we did not think the shock option worked because our dog did not respond. But it turned out that it was working and our dog was not sure how to respond at first. It appears to have a good range and has had a positive impact on several issues we were trying to contain including jumping on people, barking, and digging or tearing up things. The catch to start training against those items is 1) have the dog wearing the collar 2) have the remote nearby when an incident occurs 3) only buzz it whenever the dog is doing something that you are targeting against 4) and have patience We have managed to slow the barking over the course of two weeks. The barking has not completely stopped but it definitely has improved. Now we see an improvement whenever the collar is not even on. The jumping has not stopped as much but that could also be because I have not been consistent with buzzing her whenever she jumps. That is largely because I either do not have the collar on at the time or do not have the remote handy at the time. But I can say when all is lined up and she jumps, the minute I buzz her, she stops jumping. You can see she is raring to go but works hard to contain herself. As for the digging and tearing up things, this is much harder to stop because catching her in the act, while wearing her collar, and while having the remote requires perfect timing and the ability to watch her periodically. We have not had success with this piece. Overall I would say it works and is worth the price. To be truly successful, I think the dog needs two to three weeks of constant training with 3-4 big items. If you want to train her with every command under the sun and do it quickly, good luck. Instead pick the top three and run with it. Do the next three after 2-3 weeks while continuing to reinforce the prior training.Samuel

Charged and set up exactly as the directions stated. The collar lasted for 4 vibration warnings within a 6 hour time frame and then completely stopped working and would not even recharge. It's being returned for a refund. After reading reviews on Walmart and Amazon, it seems that you have a 50/50 shot at getting a good one regardless of brand or price. My advice is regardless which brand you buy make sure the Seller has at least a 30 day or better, hassle-free return policy.Rich

The collar seems to work just find so far. The belt on the collar is much too long, but we just tuck it under his dog collar. It is simple to understand how to use it. The price, I feel, was reasonable. I like that it has a vibrator on it. You don't have to use the shock feature. Not sure if it covers 1100 yards as stated. but I like that it is waterproof.Bobbie

Too bad it stopped transmitting within a month of minimal use. I really liked it. It's easy to use (didn't need a light and magnifying glasses to figure out which buttons to use fearing I'm going to shock her) and it fit my 10-lb Pomeranian well. We adopted a dog who is a nervous guy and not food motivated. He would bark at people walking by our house and wouldn’t come when he was called. Four months ago we picked up a 3 year old yellow lab at a shelter near Denver. The dog is lovable, has had some hunting experience, but was WILD when we got him. It was necessary to keep him tethered at all times, or he was GONE for 20 minutes pursuing some scent in the nearby forest (we back up to public land). I purchased this device in the hopes I could control him. To my surprise I discovered he must have had some time with a similar device. He instantly responded to the Tone/Vibration mode. When he would start to take off, one tap on that mode made him instantly come back. Only if he chased a deer on hikes did I have to "tingle" him a little. He would immediately drop the chase. Now I can take a hike with him in the forest, without a leash, & he stays right with me, if wearing the collar.mstar5

I bought the sport dog 425x for my lab a few months ago & loved it but it recently fell off him while we were walking on a trail and I was never able to find it. For the money it costs, I don’t think it should fall off that easily. I then bought the 825x, but I’m not sure I recommend this collar for extremely active dogs.esport dog collar

I am so glad I chose these dog collars! The remote is slim and fits in your hand nice. The remote has a light on it, and also the collars have lights which you can control with the remote, and they are really bright. Charging the remote and collars is very easy also. Its easy to use the functions of the remote, and easy to see with the backlit screen. Everything works great!itsdel

I have had training collars that cost north of $200. This collar des more and is perfect for dog training. I can normally use only sound, sometimes vibrate and very seldom have to resort to "shock". When I have though I never have to do it again to correct that behavior problem. Only thing I noticed annoying is the firmness required on the buttons. I assume that to be a built in precaution to prevent accidentally triggering. For me it's good. Love it.fishconnect

These training collars come as a set for 2 dogs. There is 2 collars and 1 remote. They work great. The instructions are easy to follow and the collars are adjustable so they can be for large or small dogs. The clip makes it easy for putting the collar on and off. You are supposed to give your dog a break from these around their neck like any of other training collar. My dogs all I need is the beep and the vibration options but it does have a shock option as well and the vibration and shock are adjustable. You can switch from one dog to the other using the button on the side with the 1 and 2 on it. Overall a good shock collar for your money. No issues with it so far.Chris
