This was a life saver. My pug is 15 and needs help getting up and down from couch. It has 3 positions so it is not steep for an older dog to use. It is ready to use right out of the box. Looks like a nice piece of furniture. It is not to long and can be used in the smallest spaces. The carpet like material on the ramp, also has slip resistant material on it (like what is on the bottom of socks). The dogs love it and it does not bother their feet. When going down the ramp, they can go as slow as needed and not slide down. I highly recommend this product. It will not work with really high beds or trucks unless you add to it. But it is perfect for anything else including cars (if needed) It is very light and easy to move around. It is very sturdy and does not move when dogs are using it. Even my younger dog loves it and she is scared of everything. The first day we got it we used treats to get them to use it. I only took a few minutes and they loved it. We had foam stairs before this but my older dog was still having issues using it. Because of the material of the stairs, when going down, it would force her to go fast and slide. This does not do that and allows them to go as slow as possible (I know I repeated this but it truly makes a difference for an older or injured dog/cat.)Nic

Just purchased this for my 70 pound elderly dog who has difficulty getting into and out of the car. I would have loved to keep this because of how well it was made, but it just didn't fit into the door opening of our new Equinox. Unfortunately the door didn't open wide enough. Also it wasn't long enough to use in the back lift gate. It was just too steep. Would be great in a regular car, but SUV's seem to be too far off the ground.Jodi
This is a nice sturdy ramp. I believe it may work well for vans but, with both of our cars (Chevy Malibu and Nissan Altima) the ramp does not have a level place to set it on. This is a good quality product that I am hoping will last a good many years. Was quite difficult to assemble in terms of getting the last bolt in and required two pairs of hands. I don't know how the assembly process could be improved as the bed surface needs to be under tension which is what makes the final assembly a little problematic. The biggest issue is around registering the product to take advantage of the guarantee. For Europe, you have to register on the Canada/USA site and of course the form is geared for zip codes not UK address formats. I ended up on a chat session with them and still have no confirmation of the registration of the purchase. My cats just love the cots for lounging, playing, sleeping, and that cat superiority point of view above the floor. This cot is very sturdy. Although it says small its bigger than the small travel cot from other makers. Its not too big or too small. Thats quite Okay with me and the cats. These beds are very unstable and my 3 dogs will not get on them at all. They just lie down next to them. I have tried everything to coax them onto these beds without success. Each one got on the beds once the day they arrived, the beds moved and wobbled, the dogs leaped off, and none has been willing to try again since. Now I have two folding beds that are essentially useless. Good concept, but the design definitely needs work. Perhaps if the folding mechanism had a lock of some sort to prevent it from folding up when a dog jumps on it would be more stable? I cannot recommend these.drlynn58
Bought two of these – one stays on the upstairs deck, one stays on the downstairs porch. Dog loves it, gives her somewhere comfortable to lie and keeps her cool too. This portable bed folds out quick and flat in a second. It appears to be built very light and strong and does not sag onto the crossmember with my 65 lb Lab as one person complained. The feet are/must be a type off plastic and will slide on slick surfaces as one person complained and gave bad reviews…..duh, then get a small throw rug…..big deal. I got this for camping so my dog does not lay in an ant hill or ant path or when laying around a campfire with ashes all over the place….my dog likes being right next to me but I don't like black ash back in my van. This was a life saver. My pug is 15 and needs help getting up and down from couch. It has 3 positions so it is not steep for an older dog to use. It is ready to use right out of the box. Looks like a nice piece of furniture. It is not to long and can be used in the smallest spaces. The carpet like material on the ramp, also has slip resistant material on it (like what is on the bottom of socks). The dogs love it and it does not bother their feet. When going down the ramp, they can go as slow as needed and not slide down. I highly recommend this product. It will not work with really high beds or trucks unless you add to it. But it is perfect for anything else including cars (if needed) It is very light and easy to move around. It is very sturdy and does not move when dogs are using it. Even my younger dog loves it and she is scared of everything. The first day we got it we used treats to get them to use it. I only took a few minutes and they loved it. We had foam stairs before this but my older dog was still having issues using it. Because of the material of the stairs, when going down, it would force her to go fast and slide. This does not do that and allows them to go as slow as possible (I know I repeated this but it truly makes a difference for an older or injured dog/cat.)Nic

I like the idea of this product but after reading the instructions I found this not to be what I was looking for. I like the bed idea which it’s nice the mats are interchangeable. However when putting in the water they recommend grapefruit to prevent bacteria. I’m not a fussy person so now I have to worry about bacteria in my dog bed. Also I thought the blue would be mesh and it’s like a hot water bottle. You add water and it stays cool. I think I’d rather like the idea of the of the regular bed that’s waterproof and bacteria proof.meghan.f
Ashland absolutely loves her cot and canopy as I’m writing this she’s laying outside in our yard on it right now it’s a sturdy little cot and the canopy keeps the sun off for a nice and cool! It’s our third one we purchased from K and H we live close to the ocean so get some pretty strong winds sometimes the canopy can get torn but by far this is the best cot and canopy we found we have tried a couple other ones and they don’t block the sun I just don’t hold up as well as this one! Highly recommend a little puppy loves!! You can add the canopy to this cot. We chose to not fill it with water we just use it the way it is we didn’t want to mess with cleaning still keeps Ashland cool. We also purchased the regular cot to swap out in the fall.Jillene P.
Just received my coolin pet cot which I ordered direct from K&H. My dog is a cockapoo with beautiful curly hair which is great but makes him hot until we get to the groomer. So this cot should really help. So far we're using it to teach him the "place" command, but as the summer hits we will use it as his regular bed. So far he has no problem lying on it, but since it is still cool where we live, we haven't yet added the water to the pad. Hopefully it will be his go-to place when he gets hot. Poor “Duncan” was adopted from a rescue almost two years ago, then relinquished when the adopters got a job offer in a different state, and they decided they didn’t want to include him in their new life. The rescue, which specializes in Duncan’s much-maligned breed, contacted me to see if I could give this sweet old Doggo a home for his twilight days. At his age and considering his breed, if I didn’t adopt him he was doomed to be a “sanctuary” doggo, spending his remaining life in a cage, all alone. I decided I had to give him a chance. When I brought him home it was clear he’d been neglected: he didn’t know how to play with toys, he avoided me and even tentatively nipped my hand in fear. I gave him time to decompress, and within a week he was like a pupper again, showing spirit and affection. He even started asking for belly rubs! Because this is a very social breed, I wanted to give Duncan access to the daybed so he can easily climb up to snuggle and snooze with me. I considered building a ramp, but wanted only the best for this Doggo. After researching online, I decided DoggoRamps was definitely the way to go! After reading how this ramp was built specifically for smaller Doggos, seeing the gradual incline and the grippy surface, I knew it would work well for my sweet boy. I took pictures of the damaged ramp with my iPhone & sent an email to DoggoRamps with pictures attached. I called & they sent me a reply email telling me what my options were regarding the damaged ramp. I was so impressed how easy it was getting the ramp returned and getting a new replacement. It all happened so fast & extremely efficient! The customer service was outstanding!! I have a very high bed & have not been able to find a ramp high enough for my bed. I have a 2yo Maltipoo who’s 14lbs & I have a very bad back & needed a ramp for him to be able to get on & off the bed. I was so impressed with the education that was emailed to me after purchasing the ramps, on how to teach my Maltipoo how to use the ramp. I had been looking and researching for something for my two dogs that are 11 years in age and having trouble getting on and off our bed. I like how it is angled to run the length of my bed and having a tall bed isn't an issue since it has a height of 25 inches. It was very easy to assemble only took me a few minutes and all hardware for assembly was included. It is very easy to keep clean and I can easily move it into our living room during the day so my dogs can have access to the couch if needed. The weight limit is 120 lbs so I dont worry about it tipping over when my dogs are running up and down. The only thing is on wood floors, it will slide as in our living room, but we use a blanket underneath it and this sovled the problem. As long as it helps my dogs and gives them the ability to continue living a easy life, it is well worth it. I recommend this to any pet lover whom has a dog that is getting older, having trouble jumping on and off a couch or bed. Best purchase I've made.becky90

It did not take my dog very long to learn how to use it and I am super happy, as previously I was very concerned about her trying to jump off our bed at night. The Ramp arrives flat packed and assembly is required (approximately 20-30 mins for me). All the screw holes were all lined up perfectly and small tools are provided to assist with construction. The item is simple to put together, just ensure that you organize the parts to prevent confusion. The quality of the ramp is far superior compared to other ramps that we have purchased in the past and even the carpet covering the ramp is well made and ensures that my dog does not slip. Please be aware that this ramp is very big, it is almost as long as our king size bed, so ensure that you have the space to fit this ramp. After I took the cot out of the box, I set it up inside in front of some large windows where I know my dog likes to sun himself. He was not sure what to make of it but I invited him up on it and the rest is history. He know uses it daily. It's plenty big to stretch out on and he acts like he is the king from high on his "perch". I am looking forward to using this outside when it warms up because the elevated bed should keep my dog cooler (with the air flow under it) but meanwhile it is making a nice spot inside the house. plastic parts have nubs that stop the side bars, when I pushed ( not very hard) the plastic piece snapped and broke. I found a way to fix it with long splints and zip ties, but very disappointed it broke. also, instructions say the middle legs should be facing in, but the middle support bar won't fit, so one one middle leg has to be on the outside of the frame and the other has to be on the outside of the frame. In addition the material in the middle sags, even without a dog laying on it. Glad I have small dogs. They do love it, but will eventually have to replace the zip ties and wooden splints, as I do have a chewer.Lila
I really was excited to try my Lucky Dog Elevated Pet Bed Cot when it arrived. I wanted to see how the dogs would like it. They have always used more traditional type beds and this was a totally new experience. First of all, it needed to be assembled. When it arrives you see all kinds of tubes that need to be connected to set up the bed. The directions say it should take about 20 minutes to assemble for 1 person. We did not find that to be true and the instructions are not as clear as I believe they could be. It took my husband and myself well over an hour to get this bed right. Lining up the pieces and getting the connecters in tight was much more work than we anticipated. As far as how my dogs like it, one is still afraid of it after having it over a week and the other likes it pretty well. So the reaction to it was a bit mixed. To be fair, the dog who is afraid of it has a tendency to be a bit wimpy about things in general. The dog who likes it really doesn't sleep on it much, she just likes sitting on it to look out the window. The material is canvas like and I am not sure she finds it that comfortable to lay on, plus the middle kind of sinks down a bit and is not supportive. I tried putting on a blanket on it and she does seem to like that better. She will lay on it from time to time. Overall, I wouldn't neccesarily recommend this bed. It is just okay in my opinion.

My wife brought this home years ago, and I was skeptical at first. However, it has been a godsend getting our Lab in and out of our auto. The Lab injured his hip shortly after our daughter "bestowed" him on us. Without the ramp I would have to lift a 120 lb., squirming hound into the back hatchback. The ramp is very well designed and constructed and super easy to use. I highly recommend it to anyone. It is not an expense, but rather an investment in your dog's health and well being.Irishman
This is my second time buying the extra large Solveit Ramp. My 74kg Mastiff used his last ramp everyday for four years going to and from work and off roading on the weekends and it was still working well, until I drove over it accidentally and squished it! It is light weight for me to lift and whilst scratches developed from my dogs nails over time on the surface, the surface still never lifted or pealed off and worked a treat. Our first ramp was used at full extension to get our dog in and out of a 4wd with a lift kit and large off road tyres, it got extremely hot, wet and muddy yet never twisted or buckled. In terms of RampChamp it was easy to order On the website and arrived quickly with no fuss. Would definitely use them again.Joanna
