My standard poodle suffers from outdoor allergies. After battling them all summer the vet just said to double up on benadryl. I felt like I was drugging my dog. I saw an ad for these chews and thought it would be a better option to at least give it a try. My boy wasn't sure about the taste the first day and I had to wrap it in cheese. Wow is right, because I am floored at how well this works! I have 2 pups with horrible allergies – one that nothing else works for. I've tried all different meds, including shots, and she still suffered horribly during allergy season. My lab/beagle mix suffers from skin allergies, and the poor thing will scratch and chew herself until she bleeds, so I was very eager to try this product. My poor pupper got irritated paws from horrible ginko berries smashed all over the fall ground and then made them worse by licking. They were so red and I felt so bad. This product is on the shelf next to a dozen others that claim to do the same thing, but I didn't get to it until three others didn't get the job done. This showed visible improvement within a day. I bought the P.H. travel set to see if this would help my highly allergic, health challenged Scottish Terrier. My Pomeranian suffers from BSD and has lost a lot of his fur. I have tried treatments from the vets but with no avail. My girl has had bad allergies since I moved to Texas. Mainly skin allergies. She’s about 80lbs and she’s 12. She was taking apaquil daily and it worked however it’s expensive but not only that taking long term allergy meds can actually put her at higher risk of yeast or other fungal skin infections. My chihuahua Rebel is 13 years old and has been sneezing, scratching and had watery alot lately. I saw this product online when I was buying his water additive and figured I'd give it a try. We took our cat to the vet after he woke me up in the early morning howling in pain trying to urinate in the litter box. We discovered he had a UTI and his bladder was very inflamed and full of struvite stones. After a round of antibiotics and other meds to relax his urethra and dissolve the stones, along with new prescription diet food, I started researching other ongoing preventative maintenance options. An overnight stay at the vet and a midnight run to the emergency vet for fear of stones or crystals for our cat who was diagnosed with FLUTD since he was a kitten, and being told each visit that it was just chronic inflammation (a frustrating but common side effect of FLUTD) and there wasnt much the vets could do other than pain meds and anti inflammatories. This is an excellent product with the best ingredients to heal (not just treat) intestinal lining problems. My girl has a bad case of IBS and was constantly crying and in horrible pain even after I put her on an organic home made diet. I bought the power version and for 3 weeks I mixed it in with her wet food as directed and did NOT do anything. Her 24×7 pain was excruciating for her and for me so I did not give up. After doing a lot of research, I realized that similar 'human' products for the same problems suppose to be given 30 minutes before meals. So, I diluted it in water and added a bit of sweat potato (for taste) and gave it to her, 30 minutes before her food, and IT WORKED! Like a miracle her pain was gone. For the first time after 3 months she was able to sleep peacefully. She is 11 lb so I give her 1/8 tsp of the powder and ¼ tsp of sweat potato (for taste) diluted in 1-2 tablespoons of water, 20 minutes before her meals, 3 times per day. I also give her probiotics, digestive enzymes, DGL(Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice), and Seacure (contains L-glutamine which repairs the mucosal lining) all mix with her food and I am happy to said she is no longer in any pain and on her way to full recovery! Just remember if you get the power version dilute it in water first (you don't have to do that with the liquid version) AND please give it 20 minutes BEFORE meals if your dog is in bad shape like mine.Loving pet owner
I occasionally add this to my 13-year-old cat's food, or even administer a few drops directly into his mouth, when he's having tummy troubles. My Bichon has inflammatory bowel disease which has caused loose stools sometimes with blood. I tried changing her food, but she still had bouts of it. She has also been very uncomfortable a few times when she had an episode of it. Since I started giving her the Colon Rescue 2-3 times daily she has had only one or two short episodes of diarrhea. We were on vacation when our 13 year old dog suddenly developed upset stomach, bad diarrhea and vometing. Still not sure if it was just from nerves or if he picked up a bug as this rarely happens to our dog. Being away from home, I didn't have probiotics or anything else with me except for this remedy. I was sceptical as this was going to be the first time using it and the upset stomach was so very bad, but it really worked. I used for 2 days and could see that he was getting better after the first doze. I also kept him on a mild diet of boiled all -natural chicken and cooked sweet potato. Since then, I've given this remedy to our dog as a preventative during stressful situations since I am still not sure if the bad epizode was from stress. Another great remedy by Animal's Apawthecary.

Unfortunately I came across a point in my life where I couldn't have my shihtzu maltese mix for a short amount of time (30-45 days). I have an English Bulldog that has allergies. I do make her food for her and that certainly helped but she was still having runny eyes so on a whim I bought this Echinacea/Golden Seal. My thought was when I have a sinus infection this helps me. And it has helped a lot! I only give it to her once a day (half the dose recommended) on her morning food and she has no problem taking it. For starters: I purchased the LifeGold, Old Friend, DetoxGold, and Spark. My little girl is 13 years young. My cat is only 2 and a half and he has been suffering from urinary tract infections/crystals for the past year, which is not as common for male cats. My little Gigi, a Maltese/Silky Terrier mix, turned 13 a couple of months ago. Two weeks ago she suddenly stopped eating and was losing weight rapidly. She was also having trouble swallowing. We went to the vet – bloodwork showed normal except for very elevated white blood cells indicating an infection. The vet also found what felt like a tumor on her thyroid. She was given a shot of antibiotics and sub q fluids, but I was told it was the beginning of the end. I chose not to have the tumor aspirated to find cancer cells as I didn't want to increase her stress. I made the decision that I would not put her through surgeries or heavy treatments at her age; my intention was to try to give her the best quality of life possible and let her go when she was ready. She slowly improved over seven days or so, sleeping a lot, but I was still having to work hard to coax her to eat – roasted chicken with skin and sliced beef were all she would do, but even so, over time she improved by about 80%. She was gaining ground, but we were still struggling with food, so I took her back to the vet today for more sub q fluids. We found that she had gained 5 ounces despite eating issues. Tonight she began to eat her chicken-wrapped supplements more enthusiastically. I'm also finding it harder to locate the lump on her thyroid. When she is ready she will return to her regular diet of freeze-dried raw food combined with home-made organic turkey and veggies – my dogs also get sardines packed in unsalted water, soft-boiled eggs a couple of times a week, and other non-processed treats like raw carrot (read The Forever Dog – it's on Amazon). Gigi seems to feel better every day and is returning to her old self, but I know that each day is a gift and that things could change quickly at her age. For now she's happy and engaged, barking at squirrels, interested in the world, wagging her tail, alert, and loving, and I'm grateful.

I just bought this item for my 14 year old malti-poo and the pill is so huge that even if I crush it up and disguise it he spit it out. Unless the company can make smaller size pill then I will not purchase this item again. My dog had an uncoordinated walk, she would trip and lose her balance at times. Her rear limbs were her weakest. I used many other products that contained glucosamine/chondroitin etc for a while but didn't seem to help much, maybe prevented it from getting worse. I bought this product because it said it would ease her pain and discomfort and I'm sure it does because she has a lot more pep in her step and stays out longer during her walks.
