5he skin soother is a great as described! My pup got an abrasion on the side of her snout. The healing process made it itchy so she'd rub her face on the carpet thus rubbing off the scab and the wound would bleed and we had to start the healing process over. I put skin soother on her abrasion at bed time. The next morning it wasn't red and angry looking and she didn't rub her face on the carpet. My Labrador had stitches in her front leg right on the ankle joint so it was at high risk of infection as very close to the bone. I was hoping this would negate the need for the huge buster collar however, she would still lick at it through the sleeve and make it wet therefore increasing the risk of infection to the wound. She therefore still had to wear the buster collar as well as the sleeve to stop her licking it. Within a couple of days, there was a hole in the material of the sleeve and since then, a further tear has developed, so the quality of the material is not that good. She has also worked out how to get her leg out of it so all in all, it hasn’t been that great! That said, I would still recommend using one as it was better than not having the wound covered at all but for me, it didn’t negate the need for a buster collar unfortunately.Julieann

1 Very happy owner and one calm snoring Dog. He`s been at the top of his leg the last few days and licked it raw . No socks long enough and a long sleeved T shirt was not a success . Ordered this sleeve out of desperation . Money well spent ….. came in a flash and as soon as I put it on he seemed really excited and happy, running round barking the way he does before we go a walk. This item was recommended by a vet as my dog wouldn’t stop licking an open sore. We tried the common collar but she’s just too old for that and it was distressing for us both. I love this thing, i bought it hoping it will stop my 10 year old border collie from chewing up his legs. I have had a long drawn out battle, spending a fortune trying to get him to stop, i have tried wrapping it but he has ripped it off multiple times. As a last resort i tried this. He didn't seemed bothered by it at all. As soon as i put it on he totally ignored it. He went on playing like it wasn't even there. He had it on all day. His legs are already looking so much better. We are very happy with this purchase. Our Brittany, Scout, has a lick wound on her front leg. We are on our third Walkin' Bootie Splint for our 10 year old Australian Shephard. He had a stroke and still drags his foot, so he tends to wear them out faster than we would like. But it is really supportive in encouraging him to put weight on his front right foot.Tracy W.

My Doberman Pinscher "Harry" had broken his front right "pinky toe" bone rough housing. My vet Took care of him with a specially made splint and wrap. They suggested I get this splint which would eliminate all the gauze wrap etc. He wore it for three days and started walking normally. Well after about the fifth day, Harry would have it on just going out for walks. By weeks end, it's back in it's original packaging and mailing envelope. Probably won't need it again but just in case, keep it in his medical box. Nice product. The extra padding I purchased, I used a little bit to make a slot for his carpel to slide down into. This is so the carpel didn't get squashed between his leg and the splint. He seems to be doing fine now, back to chasing squirrels in the trails.Alden

The product is very well made and easy to put on. It does not work for my dog because he has no feeling in his leg. I bought it to use as a splint for his foot contracture. He cannot walk with this on because it is too cumbersome for his leg. I use it on him as a resting splint when he is laying down and resting.Nancy H.

I recently was looking for a good shampoo for my dog and settled on the John Paul Pet Oatmeal Shampoo. This shampoo is for both dogs and cats. It is a 16 ounce bottle, the scent I got was the [oatmeal. I really like these shampoos are tested on humans first! Not on our cute furry friends! This shampoo has a nice subtle smell which fades nicely after a few days and keeps your furry friend soft and clean. I found that it definitely keeps their coat soft and doesn't dry out their skin. If your dog is suffering from chronic skin allergies or infections this will not cure that! It is only good for soft fur and good smelling, clean pets! I have a mare who has super sensitive skin. She was out to pasture in the spring and before I could notice the gnats got to her belly and it was bad. She had hair falling out, was rubbed raw, swollen, itchy, scabby… I used this with a combo of fly/gnat spray every night after brushing and it was magically healed in a week. I will always have a bottle of Banixx in my house now. I have a Great Dane mix that has severe skin sensitivities. She was developing yeast infections on her skin and nothing would work to give her relief. Her hair kept falling out. This is my third order of the Wholistic Pet – Joint Mobility All In One Supplement..After being told that my 70lb Pitbull mix would require surgery for a cruciate knee tear, I looked into some alternatives, hoping to be able to help him a bit before the procedure. My 1.5 year old pup is not an ideal candidate for surgery becasue he is extremely skittish and after this particular surgery, would require several weeks of seclusion from the other two dogs as to heal properly. My 70 lb mix breed has had joint issues from a young age – hip dysplasia and lingering effects from being hit by a motorcycle. This product works great for my dog. She’s coonhound and beagle mix. When I first brought her home she shed something awful! HAIR WAS EVERYWHERE! I was at my wits end and so ready to rehome her due to the excess shedding. I stayed up all nite and googled and came across this product! She really loved the taste of it in the beginning, but now not so much, so I give her 1-2 tablespoons a day. I’m definitely keeping her on this for a while. It’s much more convenient than having to melt coconut oil and applying it on her food. The pro: it definitely works! Plus Petco does price match in store with online! The con: Can be a bit pricey, as You have to buy 2 or more bottles before you see results. And your pet may not like it! I suggest holding on to the receipt, as I bought one for a friend and their pet didn’t care for it. The instructions say to double the dose for the first 30 days depending on the weight of your pet. Cookie weighs about 25lbs. For the first 30days I had to give her 4 tablespoons a day sprinkled and mixed in her food. 2tblsp in the a.m and 2tblsp in the p.m. from the 16oz bottle so I ran out of the fish oil in less than a week. My baby pit bull loves this. She always seems hungry. Yet I feed her plenty and extra most days. Since adding this she seems satisfied for longer between feeding. A few years ago my Chihuahuas neck was broken in a fight with a Great Dane. The vet wanted to put him down but I said I will nurse him back. Excellent for older dogs. My dog is now toothless, and a very picky eater. All his food is specially prepared so we are limited in what we can feed on top of his pickiness. This vitamin is a paste and he loves it. It’s also gives him an appetite. He’s addicted to it. It’s got a lot of corn syrup in it, so watch the sweet factor. It will make them fat, and is probably not great for the teeth. But our dog is past that hurdle with NO teeth. We’re just pampering him in retirement. My 12 year old Yorkie suddenly starting losing the contents of her bladder during the night. The vet suggested checking for a UTI. I did some research and found that not only would that be expensive and require a course of antibiotics, many people found that the dog's UTI would come right back after they were done. Since she wasn't in pain when urinating and there was no sign of blood, I thought I would try apple cider vinegar first which evidently works very well. It didn't help so next I tried Tinkle Tonic which did help, but not completely. I called the company which makes it and they suggested using the Tinkle Tonic concurrently with the Leaks No More. Voila, no more leaking! When the TT was finished, I just kept using the Leaks No More and it worked fine by itself. Two caveats, you have to keep giving it every day and by itself. I tried another of their homeopathic remedies for itching and gave it concurrently and when she leaked again, found out from the company its effectiveness is reduced when given with another remedy.the-old-den-closet

Google brought me to the natural dog company because my dogs paws were the stuff off nightmares. Paw pads that look like hair which I learned was hyperkeratosis. Supposedly there is no cure for this. But I thought at the very least this would give him some relief as he must have been in some pain. Well he looks so much better already. The paws got soft enough that I was able to "trim" the filaments off sightly. Yes it was as gross as it sounds lol. He is not fully cured yet but his paws are so much closer to normal already. He is also in less pain as he is more tolerant of me putting the product on. Once he gets a bit more healed I will use the skin soother in-between the toes. The only con is that this stuff goes fast. I thought this was way too good to be true. My dog- Victoria, a catahoula- has severe allergies and has to be on a special diet, take medications, etc. even then, she has still had really bad allergies and chews her paws and legs. While she absolutely hates this stuff- I don’t know if it is the smell (it smells good, though), but on day 2 I saw a significant change in the redness and itchiness. I was such a huge skeptic because I’ve tried everything and I wasn’t expecting this to work and it has honestly been the only think that is not a medication that has helped. Please get this for your pets. Worst case scenario, it doesn’t help, I’m so glad I took the risk because Victoria’s skin looks so much better. Definitely worth it!!Christy

I run and walk my border collie 7-9 miles everyday and his paws were always rough so I decided to try this…within 1 week his cracks were almost all gone and his pads were really bad…deep skin cuts are almost fully gone!!! I had to order more of it even tho I haven't ran out fully. My dog doesn't lick it off or anything, but the first 2 times, it was hard to keep him still but now he lays there sleeping while I put it on him before bed. He lays still when I put it on in the morning also. I recommend getting the 4 Oz tin cuz I got the 2 Oz stick and after 1 week it's half gone…so if the pads are very rough, you my use a bit more than usual or recommended. I tried the pawtection and it really helped his paws on the cold pavements but we got to about 3.5 miles in on our run and then he started running on the snow, so it doesn't stay on longer than 4 miles, which is ok cuz u don't wanna be out too long really cold or hot weather anyways.Lindsey H.

I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. You can continue every other day for another 2 weeks.Cricketoes

I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. Im not a vet but am thinking whatever it was it was some type of fungal infection. Benefits of product; it wasnt expensive, was easy to apply, and has a light pleasant scent.Debbie

I am so thankful to have found this today! My poor dog could not stop scratching and licking under his front legs, and they were raw and bleeding. He was whimpering but would not stop. I was very surprised with how well it worked. My cats nose cleared up quite nicely. I think the taste wasn't so good for her though. Maybe you can figure a way to give it a flavor cat's like. I turned to this product for my cat after everything else failed. She has a chronic sinus infection that did not respond to multiple rounds of two different antibiotics. She stopped eating and was losing weight. I put drops of this on her food twice a day and she seems to tolerate it. My 10 year old cat was literally dying because she could not eat and was getting too weak to drink. She was getting palliative, hospice type care but I didn't want her to starve to death. I take care of feral cats and I Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) them in order to decrease the cat population in my neighborhood. When spaying a female cat, you have to keep them for at least 4 days for them to appropriately heal and have the affects of the anesthesia to wear off completely. One of the ferals that I trapped was a skin-and-bones female that was really too young to be having the kitten she was towing around with her. So I trapped her and her only surviving female kitten, had them both fixed and proceeded to "Fatten them up" and have them heal completely. "Under the Weather" Ready-Cal was the perfect supplement to give to both mamma and baby while they healed. I kept mamma in my care for one month because she was so pathetically thin. In that month, Mamma's coat changed from a rusty brown to a glossy black. She gained weight to where you could no longer feel her ribs poking through her fur. She did not like indoor life AT ALL and could not be socialized or handled, so she was released back to her outdoor home. I continue to feed Mamma every day, even built her an outdoor heated shelter in my fenced in yard. She is very content now. She now loves people, but cannot be picked up off the ground or lifted, but allows petting and head scratches. As for her kitten, she socialized very well, is awesome at vet visits and handling, and doubled in size very quickly because of the added Ready-Cal supplement and gained weight at a rate of 1lb/month. Great to reduce inflammation under wraps. My favorite use is for hoof abscesses. Pack the hoof with this poultice, and wrap with diaper/vetrap/duct tape and leave on overnight. Great stuff.ALICIA

It was very congealed and wouldn’t come out of the bottle. Had to unscrew the top and force it out. It was not easy to apply like the original because it was so congealed. Definitely defeated the purpose of the squeeze bottle…DarlaDean

this is one of the best products for dry skin! it has many many different uses. I have used this obviously for my twins- they had alot of issues because of the nicu all the wires and shots and no bathing no lotionstuff they had to go through left their skin a it scaley and painful. this went on their skin and just healed it right up. some moisterizers can go on dry skin and give them a sort of burning feeling, not this, this feels just like a cooling stick you would use to prep your skin for makeup. very good for sensitive baby skin. I have also used this for my husband, he has really really bad soriosis. it took me so so long to find anything that would help- I bought so many different creams that were literally made for soriosis but they would do absolutly nothing to help. so then i started using this on him just out of curiosity and he was feeling relived he said finally there was no itching! and lastly my skin on my face, but nowhere else on my body will get extremly extremly dry during the winter, it gets so bad i cant wear any kind of face makeup unless i want to look like a shedding trollthi.p

I honestly could not live without this! This is my saving grace for very dry cracked skin or chapped lips. Even for when my husband gets those sore cracks in the corner of his mouth. Those are so painful but painful but whenever I put this on them they are healed in no time. I also like putting this On my elbows knees and hands before I self tan. This is great for chap lips And dry flaky skin.. It feels like Vaseline but it creates this beautiful barrier and Relieves any dry skin you have. I even mix my retin-a in with this to put under my eyes so it won't be as harsh. I got that tip from a dermatologist and it has been great great because I've not been able to use any retin-a products under my eyes without getting very bad irritation. This is a great multi use product for a multitude of things! Definitely something everyone should have in their housecaitlin .n

As a new parent, and not knowing a lot about the products on the market, I started out using the regular white pastes on my son’s diaper area. It wasn’t until a few months later when he had a rash that wouldn’t clear that my nurse friend said she was using Aquaphor because that’s what they used on bed ridden patients. As soon as I started using this, his diaper rash cleared. It turned out he had eczema and after that I swore by this. Fast forward 9 years and two more kids later and never went back. This is all I’ve used for my kids diaper area when needed and now that they are out of diapers, we still use this constantly on eczema flares both for them and myself since I also have it. I also carry their lip version for the winter and it’s a total lifesaver. Most recently, I got a chemical burn on my face after using retinol for the first time and after a few nights of applying Aquaphor to my face, it improved tremendously. I swear by this and always recommend it to my friends and family for their babies.maria.v
