We actually have the senior advanced bites but j didn’t see them available to review. Our pooch seems to love them. We have used the one in the envelope a few times and that led us to purchase the bigger tub size. although we can’t physically see a difference I have no doubt they seem to be working and apparently are tasty. I agree that my dog, a lab hates the flavor and was seeking out the pill and spitting it out until I tried baby food turkey and chicken in the little jars. My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. I bought this for my dog’s (14 year old Shar Pei) keratin buildup on his nose and paws. It dissolved the stuff great and I was able to wipe off the stuff on his paws after one application. That was really impressive. My dog has fairly mild Hyperkeratosis but his nose gets a fairly thick layer of buildup, and this product allows you to remove it fairly easily after a few applications over a couple days and a cooperative pooch. I was really impressed with how well it worked. I use it now preventatively which prevents bad buildup on his nose and paws, so all in all I’m certainly a big fan. Caused minor inflammation and mucus from his eyes after using it, and just to be sure, I stopped for three days in which his eyes cleared up right away. When reading the info on this product you could be excused for thinking if its half as good as it says its worth giving it a try. Believe me its worth the expense of delivery from the US. 2 of my horses had acquired cuts. One was on the body & the latter one was a nasty over reach. I purchased Schreiner's to try on the first injury which just wasn't reducing in size and kept opening slightly. It worked wonders & healed in no time. After having the over reach stitched & following the vets instruction we found we had got so far but not completely healed. I agree that my dog, a lab hates the flavor and was seeking out the pill and spitting it out until I tried baby food turkey and chicken in the little jars. I use a baby spoon and bury the pill in the meat. She gobbles it up and does even notice even the pill. We do it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. I read some other reviews on how people are getting their dog to take the pill and I laughed because it's what I do also! Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. That too has resolved which makes me believe his liver is on the mend.Yvonne

We used milk thistle to replace a medication our dog didn't like. It was common to have difficulty getting it all into him. Results were mixed at best. The milk thistle mixes in his food, has the same chemical found in the synthetic med in natural form, and is well tolerated. We think he may even like it. His pancreatitis symptoms are non-existent. This is my first review ever and I'm only writing this because it saved my cats life and wanted to let others know to try this before giving up. My vet gave my cat medicine for his high liver numbers that came out of nowhere. My cat lost 6 pounds and stopped eating completely. Checked his blood after a month and it was worse. She said to take him home and give him TLC for the time he had left. There was nothing else to do she said. My dog had some bad teeth that we knew needed to be removed. We take care of her dental health religiously but due to genetics at 10 years old she had some teeth that had turned pretty bad and pretty quickly! We could not have them removed, however, until her liver enzymes came down! I was hesitant to try a supplement that was not from my Vet but after supply issues and a large price increase I started researching alternative products. I am now on the second order of this product which I give to my senior dog that was diagnosed with Cushings disease. He is doing wonderfully although he will not eat it directly. I crush it into hi9s food. As long as you have this product I will continue to use it.
My dog was diagnosed with lymphoma last year and was taking a different liver support supplement prescribed by the vet. I decided to try a different supplement that was more natural and less expensive. This supplement contains the same derivative from milk thistle that the vet supplement contains. My dog loves the flavor of these liver bites and seems to be doing very well on them. I definitely will be ordering more in the future.
I got this for my lil ol gal who showed liver issues on a blood test before going under for her teeth cleaning. Changed a lot of things for her (diet, etc…), researched some & more while this was out of stock. Found that milk thistle is mentioned many times as a recommended help for dogs with liver/kidney issues. Before this I didn't realize some of her symptoms were related to her liver. The diet change was very effective but didn't curb all of her symptoms. In the meantime, I got her a bottle of milk thistle & it did eliminate more of her symptoms. When I got this product, I switched her over & the gain in less symptoms remains intact! Our vet prescribed Vetprofen for our twelve year old dog when he started having mobility issues. The Vetprofen does an excellent job, helping him run and hike and play. My dog broke his back just behind his front legs. We opted for home care and eventually chiropractic. The chiropractor recommended Pain Plus. My Jack doesn't mind taking them…BUT…he chooses the dosage! When I see him being stiff I offer a whole one and if he doesn't take it, I break it in half and offer him half. My dog is a rescue, approx. 13 years old & 68 lbs. He has been with us for 10 1/2 years. About two years ago he was diagnosed with Wobblers syndrome. My Great Pyrenees has been suffering from chronic reoccuring staph infection due to food allergies for almost 2 yrs. Every time he finishes a dose of antibiotics and skin relief meds the rash starts to come back.
