I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. I've had the chance to use Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot and Itch Relief Medicated Shampoo for Dogs and Cats on both one of my dogs and one of my cats. The product works as described when used in accordance with the instructions. After a few daily baths of our dog, she stopped scratching a spot, I suspect was Poison Ivy, that she rolled in on day. My cat was scratching a spot on her neck constantly, so I braved giving her a bath. After one bath (thankfully!), she stopped scratching the area. She's an indoor cat, so I'm not sure what caused this, as there were no signs of having been scratched or any signs of fleas. After their baths, bot the cat's and dog's coats felt better and looked cleaner. It left their coats still shiny and hydrated – not dry and frizzy. Both the dog and cat have short coats. The flip up top and bottle constructions a such that it is easy to open and close, when you are struggling to keep a cat calm or an overzealous dog still when applying the shampoo. Our dog has seasonal allergies, rye grass is the worst. We try to avoid grass on walks because just the smallest amount creates hot spots on his skin. Then the scratching is non stop further antagonizing the hot spots. We try to keep a healthy, natural diet, including supplements because he does have so many allergies. We have been using a topical ointment on hot spots, but we have stayed away from the shampoo’s for varied reasons including active ingredients. The active ingredients in this shampoo are: Lidocaine, oatmeal, and hydrocortisone. The topical ointment we have used has Lidocaine and hydrocortisone. I know oatmeal is very soothing for itching, so we decided to give the shampoo a try. About 24 hours after the first bath, we saw significant improvement on the hot spots. I was a little skeptical about this product as it didnt have any reviews, never the less I went ahead and bought it anyway. Purchased this spray from my Vet for $35. Initially worked fairly well. Bought the product here for substantial savings vs Vet. I used this on my golden retriever hot spots . It’s allergy season , and I normally use a cream on my dogs . This product wasn’t messy , and my dogs didn’t mess with their hot spots again . I used the product for a week and the hot spots went from golf ball size down to the size of a grape . I also didn’t have to be seen by my vet . This has been a complete life saver. My elderly dog keeps chewing one specific spot. With many expensive vet trips, we've tried so many things that I was feeling discouraged. My dog gets anxious and antsy when he feels itchy, we've had to out a cone on because the chewing became so bad. But I noticed when I put this one he becomes less anxious and settles. My pet Koko is a 4 year old Cooker S and he has certain spots on his body that will itch until the fur is gone and the skin is broken. The hydrocortisone didn't seem to be doing enough. When I put this gel on my dog's itchy patches it immediately stopped itching and now we use it daily and the skin is starting to grow back where it was scratched. Love this product. My poor sheltie gets these tribble rashes on her belly and the vet gave her a skin antibiotic plus a steroid shot to see if it was maybe a bacteria infection but the rash remained so i just assumed the rash was from some skin allergy she must have from God knows what. I saw this product at Petco and decided to give it a try. It got rid of the rash within about two weeks of using it about three times a day and she doesn't lick it off like the Benadryl cream i had been putting on her in the beginning. I also changed her food to Hills science for sensitive skin and stomach along with giving her the Septiderm-v shampoo bath every couple of weeks and overall it seems to be working! The rash still comes back here and there so of course i have to keep putting it on her but at least it keeps it at bay.Taby

My dog has been licking one of his paws for months, I wasn't sure why but it kept making his paw look red (he has white fur). A friend told me it could've been a hot spot. I adopted an older girl from our local shelter. From what we could tell, she had been on the streets for a long time, but seemed healthy. Unfortunately, within several weeks, she stopped eating and seemed in pain. One morning before I could take her outside she passed quite a load of bladder stones on the floor. A rush trip to the vet ensued and she was put on meds, including some Chinese herbs. I was told that she would most likely fight bladder issues, throughout her life. I went online and started research the various products offered. Cranberry Bladder Bites had great reviews and an impressive array of herbs. I bought my first container, and Agnes and I have never looked back. She gets one every morning with her breakfast, and it's the first thing she eats. Her personal flavor choice is Bacon. This is a wonderful product. We have not had another bladder stone problem and she will get one everyday for the rest of her life. Thanks from both of us for this wonderful product!
Purchased this when my dog started wetting the bed at night. Noticed she wouldn't wake up to be put out but in the morning her bed would be wet. Began giving her these Cranberry Bladder Bites and noticed an immediate difference. Now I'm too afraid to stop giving them to her (especially since she's getting older). I adopted a dog 2 years ago and she is great. I noticed right off the bat though that my dog's bladder would leak when she got excited which I know can be common so I didn't think too much of it at first. Then I noticed it would take her several tries when she would go out to empty her bladder so I expected that the inability to empty her bladder was symptomatic of a UTI. When looking for something to help before another trip to the vet I saw that these bladder bites had high ratings and gave them a try and they worked great, all of her issues even the exited leaking stopped. That was right after I adopted her a couple years ago and during our recent move with everything packed and hard to find she wasn't getting these regularly within a couple months she had started the little bit of leaking again when excited. So I ordered more of these and she's only had one little leak since she started taking them again. She thinks they're a treat so she loves them and we love that there are no accidents to clean up. I hope they continue making these and please don't change anything about them, nothing is more disappointing then having a product become a staple in your life and then the company makes a change that ruins it for you. I agree that my dog, a lab hates the flavor and was seeking out the pill and spitting it out until I tried baby food turkey and chicken in the little jars. I use a baby spoon and bury the pill in the meat. She gobbles it up and does even notice even the pill. We do it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. I read some other reviews on how people are getting their dog to take the pill and I laughed because it's what I do also! Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. That too has resolved which makes me believe his liver is on the mend.Yvonne

My 12 yr. old Lab suffers from terrible arthritis in her elbows and very weak tendons in her back legs. I stopped giving apoquel to my dog, not only because of the expense (costing more than $200 a month), but also because of all the reviews I have read about the danger to a dog's immune system with prolonged use. I have intentionally waited to write a review because I wanted to give enough time to see if the Fidoplex was going to make a difference. We took our Newfie/Lab to the vet to get vaccinated for a training class. Shortly after his shots, he developed a skin allergy with two hot spots on each hip. Recieved a 3oz bottle of Vetericyn Plus Hotspot Antimicrobial Hydrogel for free in exchange for an honest review. I have to say, this stuff is amazing! My lab/beagle mix suffers from skin allergies, and the poor thing will scratch and chew herself until she bleeds, so I was very eager to try this product. The day I received it, I rubbed down her belly with it (this is where she itches the most) and it seemed like she felt instant relief. When she starts scratching, I apply a thin layer of the gel and she stops almost immediately. And it lasts for hours! My poor pupper got irritated paws from horrible ginko berries smashed all over the fall ground and then made them worse by licking. They were so red and I felt so bad. This product is on the shelf next to a dozen others that claim to do the same thing, but I didn't get to it until three others didn't get the job done. This showed visible improvement within a day. Bonus that he didn't lick it off – before I tried this I would combo an antimicrobial with one of those "bitter taste dogs hate" sprays, but my dog is weird and loved those things and would lick them like crazy. I'd have to wrap his paws and watch him like a hawk. Not so with this! He stays away from it so it can work…bonus points bc spray plus consistency is easy application. Nick (my dog) loves these. He limped on one back leg or the other all summer long. The vet couldn't find anything wrong and put him on anti-inflammatorys which helped, but when the medication stopped the limp returned. I tried this and the limp stopped and hasn't come back. I agree with the other reviewer, who said they are too thick! I have to give away 1/2 the bag, because they’re too thick for my Havanese! The package says he needs a small, for his size, but he just can’t chew the big thick ones. I’ve resorted to buying the Petite, a time or two. Those are a completely different item. Sort of a compressed stick. However, those are gone in two chomps! I’m trying to find a different solution, all together, but I still want a chew type dental stick. Not greenies, type, though. Those don’t last long, either. Ugh! Why can’t this company, just have better quality control?…Tracyd57
My dogs loves these, and they keep their teeth very clean. I know people get nervous with rawhide, but the trade off is worth it. These chew chips are coated with enzymes that clean the dogs teeth extremely well – and apparently it makes my dogs obsessed with them too. Because they love the taste, they actually CHEW them and don't immediately swallow them (the normal issue with rawhide chews). I've recommended these to all my dog owner friends and haven't received a single bad review yet. The trick is they need one of these day. There are 30 in a bag. So about a bag a month (depending on how quickly they finish the chew, my greyhound does one of these in a day no problem). It comes out to be about $200 a year, which for me has proven to be worth it, especially with a greyhound as greyhounds have notoriously bad teeth. My beagle/mut loves them too.
