Dog Ate Corn Cob Treatment For Sale (2024 Update)

I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. You can continue every other day for another 2 weeks.Cricketoes

I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. Im not a vet but am thinking whatever it was it was some type of fungal infection. Benefits of product; it wasnt expensive, was easy to apply, and has a light pleasant scent.Debbie

I am so thankful to have found this today! My poor dog could not stop scratching and licking under his front legs, and they were raw and bleeding. He was whimpering but would not stop. I came home and sprayed the areas with this, and he didn’t freak out like I thought so I know it didn’t hurt! He became calm and only tried to lick a few times before he relaxed and rested. We have the Bristle Bone and the Busy Buddy Jack, both of which have given the dogs long periods of entertainment. The Cravin' Corncob just arrived and 2 dogs were both able to destroy the rawhide rings within minutes. Since the dogs have chewed on the toy it is not returnable. I have an 8 yr old Rottweiler I've had since 6 wks old . Make sure the box is taped with the original tape. mine arrived with the tape torn off and one 4"x4" (approximately) on one side of the box so had to trash it. Not worth me being a disabled vet that can't drive to return the product. Very disappointed due to this was going to be my kids dinner.Bruce

I purchased the large box with 22 without reading the front of the box. It had been awhile since I've had a corn dog and I was really looking forward to eating one. However, as soon as I took my first bite I realized something was way off with the taste and as much as I was looking forward to this dinner, the taste and texture was too much for me to finish the rest, even though I cooked them in the oven. It ruined the experience for me. It's like eating a gritty soft cooked pancake wrapped around a hotdog. The terrible thing is, that is the only choice that's offered for regular corn dogs! My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. I haven't had the nerve to try it as I thought it could just be some nut trying to infect your pet even worse. On a Friday in Jan 2012 our Beagle, Ben (14), seemed very lathargic. He was still eating but not as much as usual. His current major health issue is arthritis and gets a daily regimen of baby asprin for the pain. I started feeding him rice mixed with some wet dog food and making sure he was offered water a hour or so. On Sat. afternoon we noticed that his stool was a tary black so I thought he must be bleeding inside. He did not have a bowel movement at all on Sunday and we noticed that his gums were very pale so I decided that I needed to take him to the vet on Monday if he did not improve. I was worried that maybe the asprin (1 – 82 mg 2 x a day) may have caused an ulcer hence the bleeding. The VET ran a blood test and took an x-ray on Monday. $300 later His red blood cell count was at 11 and should be in the 35-50 range. So, he was very anemic. His digestive track did not appear to be ruptured but he did have a large mass in his abdomin and his heart seemed enlarged which may mean a mass on his heart, also. The vet suggested a Sonogram to possibly give more internal info. (another $150) and the next step would be to transfer Ben to the nearest Emergency clinic for a blood transfusion which may be another $600-700. Considering Ben's age I decided against the Sonogram and Blood Transfusion so the vet said the alternative would be to put him to sleep because he is very sick. I said "today?" and mentioned that my husband would want to say goodbye. She said okay, take him home for a day and bring him back tomorrow but that I shouldn't wait too long. My husband and decided that as long as he was eating and drinking we were not going to put him to sleep. The vet did not believe he was in pain, just very tired, like he just got over the flu (for example). I did some research on-line that Monday and found this blood and energy supplement. I placed and order, stopped his asprin regimen and fed him med. rare steak and continued rice with soft food over the next couple days while waiting for the supplement to get here. I started him on Blood & Energy by Wed. evening and by Sunday he was making his normal circle around the yard. We were carrying him from the couch to go out and eliminate then he would come right back in. We could not believe we even thought about putting him to sleep. It is now Mid March 2012 and he seems better than he was before and he seems to be shedding less. I would suggest this supplement for any older dog especially if they are anemic and expensive transfusions are not an option for you as a pet owner. Good luck! I hope this helped. My dog was being swarmed by flies because of all the open wounds she had due to scratching her skin constantly due to a bad rash. I tried several prodcuts but nothing was working. I’ve bought other chopper & Otis toys and my dog and grand dog loved them. This particular “chew” toy is too hard. I think if I threw it on the pavement it might shatter it’s so hard. My pup is an aggressive chewer and weighs close to 70 pounds so we need top quality toys but a little “give” in the material would be more satisfying for my pup.Joy

My dog ate this willingly only twice. I've even dipped it meat juice & he will not eat it. If I crush it in his food he rejects the whole bowl. He is not picky at all. so these must taste pretty bad. They are very dry. no idea if they work or not, can't see results if he won't eat them. I can assume the ingredients are medicinal. I can't speak to quality, put if your pet won't eat it- there's the answer the quality doesn't matter. They would be easy to use if your pet likes them.iHerb Customer

My dog went a few days with excessive "goop" from his eyes. Since my dog hasn't had a history with this, and doesn't seem to have seasonal allergies, the vet suggested an antimicrobial for the eye irritation and I went with this ophthalmic gel based on the luck I've had with other Vetericyn products in the past. I started with a tiny drop on the corner of my dog's eye to be sure he wouldn't have any reaction to it. Later that day, I went ahead and applied a few drops in each of his eyes. I applied the gel two times a day for three days in a row and by the fourth day his eyes had stopped having discharge. It is almost like my dog knew the drops would make him feel better as he kept his head very still when I applied the gel to his eyes. The shape of the dispenser where you squeeze the product out of makes it very easy to apply the gel to their eyes. While it is a "gel," it comes out of the dispenser fairly quickly which I find allows for an accurate application. The gel-like substance is great to confirm that you got the gel where you want it to go. Went out one morning and caught a glimpse of what looked like a little scratch on my horses eye. Upon inspection the eye itself was untouched but the eyelid was cut about an inch long from the back corner towards the front. I cleaned it and figured I would just leave it alone. The next morning it was itchy and irritating her and REALLY swollen. I cleaned her up, applied the Vetericyn ophthalmolic gel, and put a patch over her eye to keep her from rubbing it and repeated this 4 times that day and removed the patch that evening to let it air. This product helped me when my dog had an eye wart. The vet said it did not need to be removed until it got to the point that he was scratching at it or it started to affect his vision. During the time of it growing, it started to scab and bleed at times which made me get this product. The anti microbial wash helped keep bacteria out of his eye wart and helped keep infection away. The product works great, however read this carefully to determine the quantity to order, the website is misleading. The manufacturer sells the product in 1 gram (small dog), 2 gram (medium dog), and 4 gram (large dog) sizes. Each package contains 3 packets to be given over 3 days. In order to get the correct amount for your dog's weight, you may need to order more than one package. According to the manufacturers instructions, you need to administer one gram of product (daily) for every ten pounds of animal weight. So, up to: 10 lbs = 1 gram; 20 lbs = 2 grams; 30 lbs = 3 grams; 40 lbs = 4 grams; 50 lbs = 5 grams; 60 lbs = 6 grams, etc. So, if your dog weighs 11 to 20 lbs, you need to order a 2 gram (medium dog) size and give him 1 packet per day for 3 days. But if your dog weighs 21-30 lbs, you need to order a 1 gram (small dog) AND a 2 gram (medium dog) package, and give your dog a packet from each size for 3 days. The product is a powder; many dogs will not eat it on dry food, so if you usually feed your dog dry food, mix it in with some wet dogfood and most dogs will chow it down. A puppy was pretty much dropped in my lap several days ago, her belly was SO bloated as she hadn't had any vet care prior. Before even getting her home I pondered the wormers at our local Petco, selected this one. On day 3 the worms came out, though her poor bloated belly was reduced after the first day. Will use this again if worming can't wait for the vet. Due to her weight we did have to weigh out the medicine (half a gram ='s 1/4 teaspoon), and you must have an accurate weight on the dog and an accurate measuring device for it to be as effective as it can be without giving too much. I went with the Safeguard brand because I've been using the livestock version for other animals with success. She ate it fine with cooked chicken/broth mixed into her kibble.Mandy R

during the late fall to the end of winter I give these to my dogs to prevent worms. Then early spring I switch over to Heartguard. You get three packs. I use two packs per dog per month. Each pack 40 pounds. Total 80 pound dog. Sprinkle in with a quarter cup of warm broth, stir well. pour over their dry food and blend in. They won't notice and eat their food. Sneaky but, it works. Saves me tons of money. I have two large dogs and Heart-guard can be very expensive every month so I subsitute during the cool to cold months. You save and your dogs stay healthy from worms. I bought this for my German Shepherd who was having some skin irritation issues. Combined with a switch up of his food, this supplement seems to have helped / make his skin and coat better. His fur is softer and he has less irritation. He has no problems eating the powder when it is mixed in with the rest of his kibble. I would recommend this supplement.Danger031

Bought this for my three very picky horses and was surprised how easy it was to give. The horses did not seem to mind taking it either which was a first! Very satisfied with this product.Micha

The horses don't appear to mind the flavor, and I appreciate the blunt end that prevents me poking them when administering the wormer. The wormer itself seems to be effective. The only quibble I have with this wormer is in regards to the applicator. The length of the plunger when administering the whole tube is problematic, as the plunger bends easily and if your hands are on the medium to small side spanning the distance between the fingerholds and the top of the plunger is a stretch. In addition, it is extremely easy to pop the plunger out of the unused tube – keep an eye on any of your horses that like to swipe gloves, etc. I had to retrieve the plunger from my yearling donkey's mouth after he tugged it out of my pocket. During different times when my dog gets other bites of food that he is not supposed to have, and he has mushy stools or diarrhea, I add a full packet of Advita Probiotic to his dish once a day (just add a little filtered water until it dissolves) until his stools are normal again usually 1-2 days. Also works good if he is going to the Vet or grooming, because it helps with irregularity when he's under more stress. Prior to giving him this probiotic he had mushy diarrhea all of the time.
