Boomer Ball Dog Toy For Sale (2024 Update)

My dog loves this new ball. Normally all our balls don't have a long play life. Sky has lots of energy to burn off, even after walking miles. When we return home she has a play with the boomer ball for about 15 minutes, then sleeps like a baby. Word of warning, it is very hard and I would advise you try and kick it. Sending this back. Was excited to see my dog play with this. I knew by reading some reviews that I would need to teach her how to drop the balls in the machine. It work great for the first few minutes , then it stopped working. I unplugged it and waited thinking maybe it needed to reset but no. So I waited the next morning, tried it again and it worked but after a few minutes stopped again. So I’m returning it. But hope to find another type maybe just a gravity flow one.edty

I think the our little dog is training my partner. They are both having lots of fun. She is no longer bored and is so much fitter and happier. The deal at the moment is she will drop the ball for him to put in the machine, she wants him involved. The noise build up before firing is so exciting for her and she has it down to the millisecond. Bought this for my too poodle and he absolutely loves it. Hours of fun and exercise, just drop the ball in the top and it launches it and off he goes. Trying to train him to drop the ball in himself. I actually got the 8" one I believe. I had an old one that was 14" and it was great. I wanted a smaller one for my puppy, but it is very light weight and does not dribble well. I suppose it will hold up, but it is not made as well as my old one. It could even be a different company. I have had my big one for about 15 years. The old one could get run over by a tractor and not break.. Can't say that for the 8" one.TERRI

My girl loves this thing. Being a pit/shepherd mix, its hard to find toys that can keep up with her. Its large enough that she can't get her mouth around it, so she ends up chasing it around the yard non-stop. It's the first thing she looks for when she goes outside, and the last toy she plays with before coming in for the night.Pete

That being said, These are toys that need to be used with humans. If you just leave the dog to his own devices he will chew it apart. Simple solution is to play with your dog. YAS! AMAZING! We throw this sucker on a tennis court and it won't break, the only complaint I have that isn't the balls fault but maybe you should think about before you buy this one is that our boys face gets very bloody pushing this around. So we looked into Holly's soft version and we will be getting that one shortly. Our rescue is a border collie and australian cattle dog mix. She has always been very timid and we've never been able to find a toy she likes. We did notice however she spent all her free time trying to herd our other dog. We got her this and took to it immediately, she absolutely loves this. It is so wonderful to find a toy that she finally enjoys! And might save our other dog from constantly being herded. She herded it with her nose from the start rather than her teeth, so the issue of it getting sharp from chewing is not a problem for her.Alex

This is hands down our most coveted toy. Our dog Captain is a 100lb American Bulldog who destroys everything…but this! The Red/Yellow ball is animal sound based – the Blue ball is human voice based – at time of writing a recordable Babble is not available (Dec '17). Medium size is good for a 20kg 45lb collie* – the large is possible for them* but it slows/curtails the fun somewhat. Given as a gift to a curious & active dog I would expect happy mayhem as a result – once assured that the toy is SAFE and THEIRS you should be good to sit back and let them play. Caution – under certain circumstances obsessive behaviour may develop, so sharing may take time/care and chewing has to be watched for but because the product is strong you won't have to panic. WHEN YOU CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE – GIVE IT A CLEAN AND POP IT IN THE FRIDGE DOOR…. Really it works on a whole new level and might just turn into a long-term sillyness that you all enjoy. P.S. My dogs love it and don't like to share it but I had a two problems with it. It worked one day then would only "talk" for a second and then stop, I read someone else comment about taking out a battery. I didn't understand that until i opened it up and saw that it had 3 batteries. I did what they did and took out 1 of the 3, now it works great without glitching. The other problem I had with it was that the size i bought for my small dogs have ridges on it and my dogs love to chew on those ridges. they open their mouths wide and check one ridge with their top teeth and another ridge with their bottom teeth and clamp down, which ends up marring all the ridges in between. I'm scared they will break or chip their teeth. I finally took a thick sock and doubled back the sock so it was 2x as thick and put the ball in there. they still try to chew but it's harder to get the ridges and it's also easier for them to pick it up. It also make the toy quieter which i like.Dee

Love the toss and tug! My Goldens and Dobies always adore these great floating toys. This toy is NOT a chew toy. Nothing lasts forever. If your dog like to destroy things either monitor them or don't buy this. My dogs love jumping into the pool after them and they last a few years. This toy is so annoying. It does not have an off button and is motion sensored. I had to hide it in a drawer because it goes off even if you arent anywhere near it. We all woke up from the middle of a nap to my toddler yelling that she could hear a horse in the house. We live in a duplex and my neighbors opened their garage, which in turn, sent a small vibration through the floor, triggering it. This ball came and looked like a plastic hard ball from the dollar store. Very disappointed. It's not a dog toy material. Our dog roughed up and chewed the outside in 15 minutes. Terrible hard plastic looks like junk. Hardly rolls, and our dog, who loves toys hardly even paid attention to the $49??? ****** thing. Save your money. False advertising, and I'd like a refund, but looks like they lock you out of one with all the restrictions on their refund policy. If you still want to order, READ THE REFUND POLICY FIRST. Seeing it capabilities online I was immediately impressed and intrigued with self play and the balls ability to get out from under areas the dog might have trouble with since my girlfriend is in her studies from home and her work is constantly interrupted from our dog whining about a ball trapped under somewhere. This product seemed to be perfect. I ordered it. Within a week I see cheerble is now advertising a new version of the ball, felt like I missed out on a new improved design but was eager to see what the wicked ball W1 still had to offer. The ball showed up two weeks after and both my pet and I were excited. I got it out of the packaging read the manual and gave it to my French bull dog eager to play. She immediately took to it and could tell she was obsessed. This seemed all too good to be true. And it was…. In less than ten minutes our Frenchie had managed to get the clear plastic ring from the centre apart from the shell and dismantle the shell….maybe I should have got a replacement one but don't believe I should have to pay $10 to give my dog 10minutes of play… That is not sustainable living… Not for us anyways… Perhaps the new design is more durable but after spending $60+ for a ball after tax and shipping that couldn't withstand a 25lb pup I'm not to eager to dish it out again…. Afterall $120 would get me alot of balls that would last longerSean H.

There are two things our dog loves: playing and balls. And he was so surprised to see that his Wicked Ball SE was asking to play with him! So now, every time we give him the ball, it’s a delight to see him so happy and having a good time. He already had a standard Wicked Ball, but it was too heavy and big for his size (Welsh Corgi), now he can easily hold the Wicked Ball SE in his mouth and carry it around the house! One thing to keep in mind, as our dog likes to tear things apart, he sometimes manages to get the motor part to rotate inside the rubber outer shell, so, as the user manual states, we always keep an distant eye on him when he plays, and when he does get the motor to rotate, it’s fairly easy to get it back in its spot. We’re so happy to see our dog enjoy his new ball so much, so kudos to Cheerble to have come up with a new version of this product, it really is suited to smaller dogs 😉Charles

We already had an old cheerble but my dog destroyed it pretty quickly with his strong jaw. We weren't able to open it anymore to charge it so it didn't last long. The new SE model is way better for my basset hound. The size is more convenient for him, he loves chasing it and throwing it away, that's really fun to watch. Usually, he's not much of a player but this one keep him busy for a while. The material seems stronger as he hasn't broke it already (even though he manage to turn the inside somehow so not sure how it will age). We'll see how long it last this time. My miniature dachshund loved the ball, but as he does with all balls, he's not interested in chasing or letting it roll around. He pins it down and likes to chew on it- he absolutely adores rubber. He likes to try and pick at bits that give purchase and whilst the ball itself only received surface dents from his teeth, he actually succeeded in spinning the plastic around inside the rubber… How, I'm not sure, but it's now an egg with a gap where the plastic normally fills. Maybe I can try and re-spin it to make it usable again, but unfortunately as much as he loves it, it's not something I can leave him alone with. Heavily dependant on your dog's breed and fixation patterns. Alas, not suitable for mine, I think. Combined with the Max Glow ball, this is the best dog toy available on modern planet Earth. I have a burly 92lb. pit bull mix with highly developed prey drive, and she will chase the glow ball for hours if I let her. The tiny sport launcher (Sport 12M) is the best, because you can still throw the ball really far, but you can also slam the ball down a few feet away from yourself so it bounces up in the air and your dog has to jump to catch it, or you can throw it up really high so it bounces 15' away or so and your dog can jump to catch it. We sometimes have to play fetch in a pretty small area, so it's nice to have the small launcher for these games. The larger launchers aren't as fun in small areas. You can play the same games but it's trickier to throw the ball correctly. Also, the small launcher is a lot easier to carry. The small launcher fits in my dog-walk-stuff backpack (with the ball in the launcher so I don't have to dig for it later), but the big ones don't easily. The launcher also has a hole in the end so you can hang it from your bag or whatever with a carabiner. The big ones are too long for that in most cases, and swing back and forth. Also-also my dog loves to ask for the launcher, then when I give it to her she plays keep-away and it's adorable. The big launcher I have is harder for her to balance in her mouth, so she just lays down and chews on it until it gets taken away. She's chewed on all of the four Chuck Its we've owned, but she's only broken one (a big one), but that's because she got ahold of it when no one was home. The little one in my bag is totally chewed up but still works great. I think they're sturdier than the big ones. Except for the launcher she chewed into pieces, which was our fault, the only reason we've had to replace anything was because we lost it. Usually we keep the launcher and ball in the backpack so she can't get to them and so they don't get lost, so we rarely have to replace them. There is just not a better value in toys, and the startup price is really low. Once again I really recommend the glow ball! It doesn't get soggy no matter how wet the grass or the dog mouth is. It is fun to chase because it is slippery and it collapses when it's squeezed, so it pops out of the dog's mouth and flies away if they bite it at the wrong angle; it's really bouncy, and stays bouncy because it can't be popped; it whistles so you can usually hear it even if you can't see it; and it really glows enough for nighttime catch, even if you only have your cellphone flashlight to charge it up! UPDATE: I should have said, we have the 12M launcher, which means the handle is 12 inches long and it uses a medium-sized ball. The medium ball is 2.5 inches in diameter, so the launcher will fit regular tennis balls, too! But my dog won't play with regular tennis balls anymore because they aren't anywhere near as fun as the glow balls, and I think she doesn't like having gross sloshy muddy tennis balls in her mouth. I lost my short launcher awhile back and could only get a long one locally to replace it, which reminded me that you have to lean over a lot further to use the short launcher. So if you have trouble leaning over to the point that your hand is a foot above the ground, this may be hard for you to use. I wish Home Essentials Direct would let us choose colors, because my old one was green, and the big one is orange, both of which are bright enough to see in the grass from far away, even at night. I ordered 3 of these because we've had them before but wore them out after years of play. I opened one up and used it for approx 4 days and the ball is already toast. I could tell when we opened it that the ball was different than ones we've had in the past. This was the tennis ball as opposed to the ultra ball that it used to come with. You could see the seam, which I could tell was cheaply made and would not last. Pretty disappointing that half the product is a waste of money!Louupnorth

Exactly what I wanted! It fits our other Chuckit balls and just takes the strain off my cricket damaged shoulder/forearm. You still need to be able to throw and it doesn't send it miles (nowhere near as far as the full length version) BUT it fits in my coat pocket pretty much which has the advantage of hiding the ball from our doodle dog. Good for when we are in an inappropriate area and/or we want to lead walk him. It is quite expensive (relatively) and took 2 weeks to arrive but it is great!wajir2

We have all three colors of large jive balls for our very destructive goldendoodle chewers! The jive ball is a win win at our house! Every other toy does not last a day. From the moment Belle’s jive ball got here it’s been her go-to ball. Belle, who is a registered wrecking ball, destroys or eviscerates every toy (if you consider my Furnature a toy) we’ve introduced to her. Not the jive. Our trainer, Marty Strausbaugh of Pawsitive Training, suggested your company and specifically the jive ball. And boy I’m glad he did. I confess I use it in the house when the weather is inclement. I bowl in across the living room thru the dining area into the kitchen over and over and over again. I wish I had a video to show but I can’t bowl and photo at the same time. I’m including a picture of Belle, the Vizsla wrecking ball, just so you know what she looks like. Our other dog, Rhett Butler, is content with tennis balls for dogs, but Belle takes the toupees off of them and eats the rubber. I have an American Staffordshire Terrier and an American Pitbull Terrier. As other owners of these breeds can likely attest they can pretty much destroy anything short of steel and concrete. I purchased all sorts of toys for my pups and nothing lasted more than ten minutes before having to take it away and through it in the trash due to being torn to pieces or in the process of. I bought toys from Kong, Supper Chewer, Bully Make and others. Every toy except for the standard Kong Cone and a rubber soda can made it. My wife found West Paw and I gave them a shot. These toys are fantastic! They have lasted for months! They are so good that I can actually let them play with these unattended. Take my word for it, if you have a doggo that can chew through anything then these are the toys you need. Now, if West Paw would just make a crate pad out of this material and I would be in paradise.Kerry R.

I sort of recommend it – my dog loved it for about a half an hour – since then, it sits in the yard and he never goes near it – I think he does not like the fact that he cannot pick it up and carry it around. Perhaps if there were some "dimples" in it It is definitely made well – strong as can be. But not good to my dog if he won't play with it.alicidane0
