My dog ate this willingly only twice. I've even dipped it meat juice & he will not eat it. If I crush it in his food he rejects the whole bowl. He is not picky at all. so these must taste pretty bad. They are very dry. no idea if they work or not, can't see results if he won't eat them. I can assume the ingredients are medicinal. I can't speak to quality, put if your pet won't eat it- there's the answer the quality doesn't matter. They would be easy to use if your pet likes them.iHerb Customer

I agree that my dog, a lab hates the flavor and was seeking out the pill and spitting it out until I tried baby food turkey and chicken in the little jars. I use a baby spoon and bury the pill in the meat. She gobbles it up and does even notice even the pill. We do it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. That too has resolved which makes me believe his liver is on the mend.Yvonne

I stopped giving apoquel to my dog, not only because of the expense (costing more than $200 a month), but also because of all the reviews I have read about the danger to a dog's immune system with prolonged use. I have intentionally waited to write a review because I wanted to give enough time to see if the Fidoplex was going to make a difference. We took our Newfie/Lab to the vet to get vaccinated for a training class. Shortly after his shots, he developed a skin allergy with two hot spots on each hip. I started using this shampoo 12 years ago for my Akita who was highly allergic to fleas. This was the ONLY product that would calm his hot spots and give him relief. I have been using this wonderful shampoo for over 10 years and have found it quite helpful in all sorts of skin problems, in particular dogs and cats with contact allergies known as atopic disease, the most common allergic skin condition seen in pets. Some of these contact allergens can be simple house dust mites, molds, grasses, trees, danders and pollens, depending upon the time of year. I find that those clients who have pets with these type of contact allergies(seen as pets with dry, itchy skin/feet or ears) benefit tremendously from regular shampooing with a product like this, up to once and even twice weekly during the bad allergy seasons for some pets. This shampoo is a natural oat grain derived product with a special type of technology in manufacturing it that can help for several days even after shampooing one time. It is moisterizing and soothing for those pets with dry and itchy skin or can be used as a maintenance shampoo in pets with normal coats. When used regularly in those pets with contact allergies, along with some of the excellent nutritional supplements from 1800petmeds including omega 3 fatty acids, and antioxidants like proanthozone, animal guardians can often cut down dramatically on their vet bills as well as sometimes the need for stronger prescription drugs or shampoos. My shiba ink has dry flaky skin. We have tried a lot of shampoos and cream rinses, nothing helped. He is on premium food with no grains to help. Poor guy itched and scratched all the time. I read the reviews on this product and thought I would give it a try. LOVE IT!!! Terrific product. Leaves his coat shiny and so soft. Very luxurious. The best thing is no itching and scratching. My 12 year old Chihuahua has heart disease and collapse trachea. These help with the cough without going to the extreme of using pharmacological medications. He has always had a good appetite and after taken him back off this drug after 2 days of use. He is eating good and much better using Creative Science cough Tabs. I'm a big fan of medicinal mushrooms and know that they work well. However, they are also very powerful and not w/o danger or side effects. Considered how common feline hyperthyroidism is, people should be aware that some medicinal mushrooms contained in here, stimulate the endocrine system. My elderly cat stopped responding to his anti-thyroid meds, with thyroid hormone rising contstantly. I sent an email to Bixbi (the maker of these products) inquiring about the thyroid and Maitake's and Shiitake's endocrine stimulating qualities. Bixbi stated that they do NOT recommend the Superfood products for my cat with Hyperthyroidism. I'm still giving this product 5 stars, because it works and does what it's supposed to do … it's just not for everyone. Purchased this product along with BSST to help our 7-year-old Golden mix build up her immunity to hopefully fight off any more mast cell tumors. While reading other recommendations, I discovered that it is good for older pets, as well, who may need their immunity bolstered simply because of age. So, we began giving it to our nearly 12-year-old Malamute. I have noticed a definite difference in both dogs! They are much more alert, and they look and act like they feel better. Will have to wait to see about helping with the mast cell tumors, but hopefully we'll see good results. It is easy for us to administer, because we feed them a raw diet, so we just mix it in with their meals. Thanks for the natural alternative! I have already recommended it to a friend.
I purchased this product to ensure my cats are getting all the extra supplementation they need from an organic source. The product is great, however, my kitties don't think so. I started out with adding it to their wet food in small amounts & haven't gotten past it yet after three weeks because they won't finish their food with it in it.
