This was a great shampoo for my chihuahua. She has a skin condition and is constantly itching herself. I feel that it’s very gentle and doesn’t cause any buildup or irritation. I’ve been using this product for 5 months now and probably won’t switch up shampoos for her. The smell is so nice! It doesn’t have a strong odor and her reaction to it is pleasant. Just one flea bite and it's off to the races. She has severe "flea bites venom" allergy. So flea season I have to be hyper vigilant with everything from yard, home, pet flea and tick treatment, and grooming. I purchased this one day because I know that oatmeal is very soothing to itchy dry skin. I have used regular oatmeal as a paste and as a bath/rinse with very good results. This shampoo smells good, it was a little higher priced but I was OK as long as the results were equal to the price point. Sadly, I was not impressed. In this case it was the name brand reputation was bigger than the results. while it did clean her fur thoroughly and nicely , she was scratching a lot within the first few hours after her bath. And she was properly rinsed. I spend triple the time rinsing.  I put her back in the shower and rinsed her with the homemade oatmeal bath that I use. Regular old-school oatmeal, mixed with water, and just use it as a soak/rinse. I also put in a few drops of high-quality Teatree oil, the mother of apple cider vinegar, and a cup of chamomile tea. that's my homemade treatment for itchy sensitive skin this shampoo, for the price, did not meet my expectations. I have gotten similar if not better results from shampoos that were 1 to 5 dollars a bottle. Keep in mind this is just my opinion and my results on my dog. If you are using it for a regular shampoo and not expecting treatment for itchy red skin, I believe you will be satisfied. fran.c

This is a great natural dog shampoo that i use on my dog regularly. I used to use a lot of product, like a quarter of the bottle every time I bathed my fur baby. I was told from my groomers to create a foam with some water and soap in a bottle and it makes the product lather better and uses so much less! My fur baby suffers from itchy skin and this shampoo seems to temporarily relieve that! I enjoy using this on my dog! This shampoo did not disappoint and I am happy with the results Im getting. I also like that Burt Bees doesn't have toxic chemicals in they're products which is what lead me to this purchase. I can often find it at Marshalls for a good price. I want to add before I start my review that I no longer use Burt’s Bees products because I wanted something stronger for my dogs. I also originally bought this product with the intention of using it for one of my dog’s dry skin. With that being said I have a miniature poodle with severe allergies that caused him to scratch at himself until he was bleeding and scratched off the skin in multiple location on his body. He is now medicated and is a lot better with the correct products. This product did help with his allergies minimally but did help his over all coat a lot. His coat was soft and shiny after using the product and after a few weeks his dry skin that was caused by a previous product was much better. I would recommend this product to any dog with dry skin or in need of a moisture boost.anisha.d

This conditioner is perfect. Barely scented. Doesn't affect my allergies. Tried first spraying brushes and all the static fur stayed on the brush. My dog didn't mind the product and the next day I started spraying directly on coat and then brushing. In less than 10 days I could pet her without fur flying everywhere. Her fur feels so soft. My dog is a sensitive skin and gets itchy very often but most of the products out there are for odors only/healthy fur look instead of her health in general. The Oatmeal Shampoo & Conditioner was so great! Bath time with our fur babies has never a fun time, but that wet dog smell left our whole house smelling gross afterwards. With three dogs getting baths, we had to go through so many hoops trying to rid of the smell. Nature's Miracle has really helped! There's still some wet dog smell, but it is noticeably less prominent after all three have went through their bath time. Plus, the pistachio cream smells incredible, and it left our dogs smelling fresh and their fur so soft afterwards. We had friends over that evening and when we asked, they had no idea we had given our dogs a bath earlier that day. Until of course, they gave them pets and could feel their fur. 🙂 The dogs may still not enjoy bath time, but it made it easier on us. And as a result, they get more pets afterwards. If you're like me, I absolutely dislike the smell of wet dog and smelly dogs in general. Maybe it's because I have a sensitive nose. I give Max a bath about every two weeks. I'd rather not have to wash him so much, but unfortunately, that's as much time that can go by before he starts smelling again. As you can imagine, I go through quite a bit of shampoo. So I was pretty excited when I received the opportunity to try Nature's Miracle Shampoo and Conditioner, Pistachio Cream scent. First off, I love how well the shampoo lathers, and how easily it rinses off. I also like that it's a shampoo + conditioner, so I only have to do one application, because we all know how much our dogs love getting baths, haha. Second, the shampoo really works! No wet dog smell left on Max after his bath, and his coat is super soft, and I can't stop petting him! I took off one star because I'm not a huge fan of the scent–kind of smells cheap to me, but I know everyone has their own favorite scents, so I wouldn't necessarily discourage anyone from purchasing this shampoo because of that. I have a dog mom friend that loves the candles and shampoos that smell like cake, cookies, etc. I will say though, the scent after the bath isn't super strong. My 90 lb golden retriever puppy makes it a point to roll around in the grass and dirt EVERY TIME he goes outside, rain or shine. So he gets A LOT of baths – once every 1 to 2 weeks. Because of his size/amount of fur that gets washed, my entire house tends to end up smelling like a wet dog.. which sometimes seems worse than him being a little dirty! This shampoo has been the answer to my prayers – it smells great and there is NO post-bath wet dog smell! This works best of ANY benzoyl peroxide product I've used to fight my dog's long-term demodectic mange. His fur is growing back and looks shiny, his skin looks good, and it's not unpleasant to use. Great price too, less than on AMA.namerrell--0

Well after advocate spot on not doing it's job I had to change to an oral solution and this still didn't work so nearly 2month later I get davis benzoyl peroxide dog. With only one treatment the bald patches have gone after 3days yes the coat is a slight bit wirey feeling but with the hair growing back I can now wash with normal dog shampoo to give a soft coat again thanks to this product. So please if your pet dog have demodex mange use this right away. 5*staceyismine

My dog Mandi, started having serious skin issues & was diagnosed as "Yeasty". I was told about this shampoo but I could not find it locally so I ordered it online. Davis Benzoyl Peroxide Shampoo is all I have used for these past months. If I could change one thing about it, I would make it lather more. Burts bee Spray Shampoo is very good and practical to apply to the animal's fur if you have a restless pet that can run away at any moment because it doesn't like to bathe or wait. For it is not ideal because while I apply with one hand with the other I can hold my dog ​​and thus better distribute the shampoo in areas where we cannot reach without help. We got this in the apple and honey scent, there really isn’t much fragrance to it at all though. The spray stream also kinda sucks and it comes out to thick and gets all over your hands if you don’t hold it at just the right angle. My dog is terrified of it (she doesn’t like being squirted with anything wet) so when she sees the bottle she starts running around like a bat out of hell and makes noises that would put a Pterodactyl to shame. The only thing we really liked about this product was the low price and the fact that it wasn’t full of toxic chemicals but it just sucks in general, we will be sticking with chi dry spray. heather.m

My dog is a lab elkhound mix, but he hates water, so needless to say it's not easy keeping him clean in the winter! He gets all worked up at the sight of the bathtub. I just want to share our experience with the Veterinarian formula clinically care Dog shampoo. I just moved into this apartment complex Jun 2019 and on June 26 2020 picture one. We had a opportunity to rescue this beautiful black dog with some white under her neck (red when we got her because of the leash the lady had on her was twice the size she should’ve had and it rubbed her neck raw where she tied her outside). So as soon as we seen her we knew we wanted to bring her to our loving home where I share my home with my fiancé and 3 children. The ages 12,15,&18. So that day we brought her home and because she was tied outside a lot so with that . We immediately gave her a flea and tick bath and used Walmart brand flea and tick repellent. For her to wear around her neck (Now think about it … her life has completely changed at this point and she was loving it)Then we allowed her to roam the house and to find her spots. All she came with was a cage for her size a bag of Ol Roy and a 2 way oversized hoodies. The lady said here is her food and she’s uses the bathroom outside (obviously) and I asked how will she tell me she has to go? She said not to worry she’ll let ya know then she laughed…. Since having her home after a few hrs she started to warm up us… trusting us. She came with dog food she refused to eat!! Absolutely refused so we got her kibbles and bits and she loves it!! She was wagging her tail with enjoyment and happiness! So I figured she was ok with us. As far as her activity she was active she wasn’t showing a bit of grieving one bit as far as we could tell. (However, with going to the bathroom situation she was horrible at first peed everywhere and pooped behind couches and such but I’ve converted over to puppy pads.) THAT WAS A JOB! yay! Then over a few weeks I noticed her itching and scratching and over the weeks progressively gotten worse… The second Picture (Waiting at the Vets in the floor of the car) I took her to the Vet see if it’s allergies,nerves, etc . Because it started out of no where with no warning signs other then the scratching and scratching so he prescribed a steriod to take at home and a shot of steroids an with giving her those it chilled her down from scratching as much as she was and seemed to be helping but the after a few months she has now gotten even worse than she was she was bleeding all over!! The third picture is her second time to the vet trying to get more information and help not a lot was given but he did say he believes it may be a a airborne allgrine and she would need a shot every 6-8wks she is clothed we couldn’t bare showing how her skin looked was awful (winter she was bare skin with several abrasions where she begun biting herself )😭😭 so after that visit I researched Amazon for help researched google and ran across this shampoo and God am I so ever glad because after a few washes here she is today looks sooo shiny she now looks like picture number 4&5 !!!! Adopted a pocket bully from a lady 2 weeks ago and noticed he had what she called 'hotspots' ALL OVER him. We felt so bad and wanted to do something quick but wasn't sure wat it was exactly that he was enduring. So we picked up coconut oil and fish oil pills to start him on for his coat and skin. Well as healed within a week but noticed REALLY inflamed and almost bleeding rashes on back of his neck and knew we had to do something. Went to Walmart today and found this stuff because we came to the conclusion it has to be se type of skin condition dermititis or parasitic…wasn't too sure but his skin was soooo dandruffy and flaking . Used this as soon as we got home. Followed directions. Left on for 15 minutes ….after he dried off noticed NO DANDRUFF FLAKES!! I rubbed down his back and his back wasn't crunching up from inflammation like it usually does wen I softly scratch down his back . instantly shiny and softer . Happy dog. My 14 year old Chihuahua had weeks of horrible itching and scratching. He had terrible hard scales peeling off of his back that started in small patches and then spread to most of his back. Some of the spots started to bleed. I could not afford hundreds of dollars the vet wanted just for lab tests alone. I kept special Vasaline on him and that helped some. My wife wanted my little faithful pal put down but I couldn't do it. I researched this medicine and after one treatment for 15 minutes he had INSTANT relief from scratching! On the third day I did the second treatment and he was already healing and the scaly crap was washing off. I am now on the sixth day and fourth treatment and he is totally healed and it looks like his hair is growing back. THANK GOD! My little pal stays wrapped up in warm towels after he is soaked down with about 3 spoons worth and warm water. It goes a LONG way!! After 15 minutes I rinse him off very good. So I found this after finding out my schnauzer had allergies and had already developed skin irritation and been to the vet a few times. With that being said, I wanted a shampoo that would be soothing for him after fully understanding what he was going through. His Vet recommended a medicated shampoo that smelled terrible and burned my eyes when I did smell it so I decided to go with a brand that I like, and was not disappointed. I have this in my house every spring, it doesn't smell very strong but I just spritz my dog with an oatmeal chamomile tea water serum I make at home. First of all, I was a bit skeptical paying the price for dog shampoo but it’s been well worth it. I’ve waited a couple months to leave this review just to see if there were any adverse side effects and am happy to say we’ve experienced none at all! My little corgi doesn’t mind it and she tends to be very opinionated on most smells. It’s lightly fragranced, lathers extremely well and a small amount goes a long way. Also, the fragrance isn’t heavily perfumed either, it smells like soap should smell ✨natural✨ You really are getting a higher quality shampoo that will last you ages. I'm not a fan of most doggie shampoos out there because they aren't always transparent about ingredients, and often there's a ton of neon colouring. This was quite a splurge for a shampoo, as my last shampoo purchase was a gallon of Buddy Wash for $60. However, it's my pup's birthday so I always get a few presents for her. My primary concern was that the fragrance would be too overpowering (dog's noses are super sensitive), but it's no more noticeable than other shampoos. I find Ouai products are very perfumey, but this is definitely not as fragranced as my human products. My goldendoodle has very high-maintenance, SUPER fine hair so I always follow up a shampoo with a bunch of conditioner. However, once this shampoo was rinsed out her hair didn't feel stripped of all moisture so I forewent the conditioner, and so far so good. I have a Golden Retriever (double coated) and wanted a shampoo that made her clean, soft, and not smell like wet dog. We've tried lots of brands but I finally pulled the trigger on this higher end brand to see if there's a difference worth the price. HUGE difference!! Her fur is insanely soft with this shampoo!! Nothing beats Jax n Daisy especially with my dogs allergies but I have used this particular dog shampoo in the past and occasionally still use. It it really good and really does deodorize your furry companion. This is my 2nd choice in highly recommended dog shampoo! My 3 dogs got sprayed by a skunk. I used DeSkunk shampoo but it did not lather very much. I followed up with this shampoo that has a nice lather and scent. Just one wash using both shampoos and the skunk smell is gone. This works well.Terri

Used it on my German Shepherd Dog who is going through the shedding stage now. I normally don't bath her but three times per year, being she is a healthy female she doesn't have hardly any odor except if she gets wet. Then for some strange reason she smells like a dog. However, I had just bathe her with another shampoo two weeks prior to using DermAllay and it left her coat and skin looking dry and she had what looked like dandruff for the first time ever. This definately killed all the fleas on my dog right away. I have a bichon poo and so he has long fluffy fur. This left his fur so soft. The soap itself is very watery and lots just goes down the drain. However, it did work up a good lather unlike what some reviews have said. Bad news is, it does not repel fleas from my experience. Fleas still jump on him and stay. So, I sprayed my yard and house. As well as get him an all natural flea collar repellent. I would much rather use this wash that a Capstar. It worked fast and did kill the fleas on him.M. A.

We purchased this shampoo, as our Rottweiler was very itchy at night. Prior to buying this, I asked how long would this shampoo work? The shampoo works immediately. Essentially it kills any live fleas on the dog, however, this shampoo is not made to continue fighting fleas days later. You need to invest in getting your dog on a flea treatment program to combat ongoing flea issues. This works! I was using an all natural shampoo but my poor puppy needed more help. Shes too young for a flea medication so I used this once a week and in between used the natural flea shampoo. Fleas fell off in sink. I gain a sense of satisfaction when I wash them down the drain. But you need to keep it lathered on pet for a few minutes at least before rinsing off. The only conditioner I will by for my dog! It leaves my dogs coat nice and soft and smelling amazing! I think it does the job much better then other brands I’ve tried. I have a shih tzu and I don’t feel I need to use a lot and he has thicker hair which makes this super affordable. I got it at TJ Max for $6 but it’s on amazon for $12 which is a great price for this product as well. I would highly recommendmichelle.r

I've used this product on my husky. The shampoo does make her coat noticeably white and clean, however I worry about the chemicals in this product. I don't feel comfortable using this on my pets now that we are switching to more natural products. The smell is fresh and clean and price is affordable. Definitely not the best you can find tons of bad reviews online, which I should’ve checked before purchasing, There’s also law suits connected to this product many claims that it has injured, hurt, or made fur babies sick. Harts is a cheap product is super affordable for most people but in the long run if it’s hurting your baby it’s not worth it! It smells good and doesn't seem to give my dogs any skin problems. Helps somewhat with making her white parts whiter, but it's not a miracle worker. I bought this for my new pup, and I would not recommend it. Although it is a cheap brand and smells ok, it is also a very thin liquid and pours out quickly. You waste more than you use on your puppy or get too much on them. Once you get your pup covered it takes a long time to fully rinse it out of its fur. I've had the chance to use Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot and Itch Relief Medicated Shampoo for Dogs and Cats on both one of my dogs and one of my cats. The product works as described when used in accordance with the instructions. After a few daily baths of our dog, she stopped scratching a spot, I suspect was Poison Ivy, that she rolled in on day. My cat was scratching a spot on her neck constantly, so I braved giving her a bath. After one bath (thankfully!), she stopped scratching the area. She's an indoor cat, so I'm not sure what caused this, as there were no signs of having been scratched or any signs of fleas. After their baths, bot the cat's and dog's coats felt better and looked cleaner. It left their coats still shiny and hydrated – not dry and frizzy. Both the dog and cat have short coats. The flip up top and bottle constructions a such that it is easy to open and close, when you are struggling to keep a cat calm or an overzealous dog still when applying the shampoo. The bottle is not flimsy, which is nice when you have to concentrate on handling your pet and not having to worry about damaging the bottle. A great overall product!Gregory

Our dog has seasonal allergies, rye grass is the worst. We try to avoid grass on walks because just the smallest amount creates hot spots on his skin. Then the scratching is non stop further antagonizing the hot spots. We try to keep a healthy, natural diet, including supplements because he does have so many allergies. We have been using a topical ointment on hot spots, but we have stayed away from the shampoo’s for varied reasons including active ingredients. The active ingredients in this shampoo are: Lidocaine, oatmeal, and hydrocortisone. The topical ointment we have used has Lidocaine and hydrocortisone. I know oatmeal is very soothing for itching, so we decided to give the shampoo a try. About 24 hours after the first bath, we saw significant improvement on the hot spots. They were actually shrinking and covering up. Our pup stopped scratching and was able to actually get some rest. This is quit impressive considering how miserable he has been. We have bathed him twice with the shampoo, and the hot spots are pretty much non existent. The fragrance is very light, but a little antiseptic smell.momof31129

We have two wild and rough housing shepherds. We live out in the boonies and run them in the morning, through the rugged desert trails. This time of year there are stickery little pesky plants that attach themselves in between toes, dog tails, and under bellies – not to mention all over my pants & socks. I noticed that the younger pup was chewing her arms to the point of it being raw. I like that this product has Coconut Oil Based Cleansers, Colloidal Oatmeal, and a touch of Hydrocortisone…. We decided to give it a shot, as we were fairly certain that her itchiness was likely due to tearing through the tumble weeds. As I was soaping her up, I noticed that the product had a nice mild, clean scent. It had a wonderful, silky, creamy consistency, and lathered up gorgeously. I lathered and rinsed just the one time, towel dried her, and kept her inside for a few hours. Once she was mostly dried, I brushed her outside and was amazed at how soft and clean her fur felt. I also noticed, a few hours later and she had not been licking and chewing her front legs. Pretty amazing stuff.
