I liked that this chew toy was durable and had some weight to it, but my dog doesn’t play with the toy at all. I believe this is the toy he could not “destroy” and didn’t want anything to do with it. My 60 lb. dog had teeth marks all over this toy in a matter of minutes, and it looks very unstable as if it will completely tear apart with one good tug. But if you go to the website for the return that is guaranteed, you will find that you have to pay shipping to return it, and give the company a check for $7.50 for them to ship the new toy to you. This ring was the best investment! My pup goes through most chew toys in minutes as she LOVES to chew. This ring lasted a little over 7 months before she got to the red “safety” layer. I sent it in for the guarantee (paid shipping both ways, around $15) and got a brand new one! My pup has been chomping the new one for almost 2 months and it’s going strong. HIGHLY recommend for pups that love to chew! This is an amazing product, tough, good size & well made. Mabel my dog took to it right away….and then…..when it wouldn't break up or fall apart – she wasn't that impressed. My Plott Hound is big, hyperactive and obsessive. Several years ago a friend gave him one of these balls and he has been totally focused on it ever since. This past winter he smacked it into the house (brick) when it was 20 degrees outside and the ball cracked. He eventually was able to start taking it apart. Well it’s not necessarily what I think of this product it’s more or less with my dog thinks of this product and it to be fully honest in his mind nothing compares to this ball, the countless minutes, that adds up to hours probably a few days, I search through the depths of the house for these! I am not kidding, If we go outside he has to have the orange and blue ball, the rubber ones though specifically.I’ve tried almost every product that chuck it comes out with, the mainly blue n orange ones, the XL ball, frisbees, glow one, he loves them yes, but this one by far has his heart. He will not go anywhere without this ball, not a walk, not a bathroom, nothing it is find the orange and blue ball, or I’m not going outside. Hello, first thank you for the great customer support on the Hunter tough toys Gorilla. Your customer support section is top notch which is why you are getting a 4 and not a 3 which is what I think the product should get. The Apa is better than the Gorilla I had originally purchased but the tough toys do not stay really that good together in the big seams. We have had to reinforce ourself the big seam areas. The covered seams are okay. Now others like us have slightly larger puppies, ours is a 9 month old Labradoodle who loves to play and Tug of War being one of his favorite games. The toy cannot be used for Tug of War. We can toss it around and he can just hold it and cuddle with it. It is a toy to play with alone not in groups.John K.

Our 3-year-old staffordshire terrier mix used to have a squeaky ball that is a little bigger and softer than this MegaLast ball. He played with it for months until tearing a big piece off it. I bought several other balls since then but he didn't like them much. Finally the MegaLast ball became his new obsession and he wants us to throw it for him whole day. We bought this for $6+. It is a good ball for the price, high quality and good size. After we bought it the price went up to $16 and I would not buy it at that price. Our German shepherd puppy plays with it occasionally. It is not his favorite but he does play with it for time to time. My aggressive chewer hasn't managed yet to chew this ball to smithereens so it gets a thumbs up from me! Most toys typically last about an hour as long as they don't have fuzz inside them. If a toy has fuzz inside it, it is evil incarnate and must be destroyed within seconds. His doggie bible says "Thou shalt not suffer a fuzz filled toy to live." He's very devout. But this ball is great! Tennis balls usually last about 10 minutes but this ball is still going strong after a week. He loves chasing after it inside and out and it doesn't get as slobbery and gross as other balls when he brings them back to me and drops them in my lap to toss down the hall again. It's brightly colored so it's easy to find in the yard when he gets distracted by a squirrel or bird or bug or imaginary creature that nobody but he can see or smell. I'll edit my review again when he rips this one to pieces but so far it's actually still in one piece! I'm impressed!F.H.N.

My staffy x cattle aka Destructo Dog loves nothing more than to find a weakness in toys and exploit it. This Tuffy Toy however, after 3 months of some pretty serious fetch / tug of war games, is still going strong.
