Chuck It Dog Toy For Sale (2024 Update)

I really wanted to leave a better rating for this. Have been a fan of the chuck it products for a while. After reading and watching a number of reviews where many stated this products durability I decided to pick it up for my boyfriends dog. Within the first 24 hours there was damage to the point the pet store offered a refund or exchange, I opted to try another one (after all many people mentioned how well made these were, clearly I just one with some slight defects-right?)Once exchanged we got some seriously enjoyable play. The design allows for an easy pick up, it is light weight. While it is more durable than some other balls, unfortunately we had just under a month of play before it was punctured and started to lose air. *Note- We keep this toy specifically for playtime, it is not one that would be accessed and chewed on. So the usage we had in this month would be relatively light. Used 3-4 days weekly within the monthallison.c

This ball is great in terms of how easy it is to kick however it is not durable at all. After a couple of days the stitching was already coming apart and after a couple of weeks it is destroyed. Super disappointed given the price I would have expected it to be more durable. My pup absolutely loves it so it sucks it didnt last long.Monique

Within 30mins of modest play, throw, fetch and tug, my 9 month old Kelpie X already broke this toy. Would not recommend if your dog like tugging on the toy as part of play. Disappointed especially with a claim that it is 'one size for all dogs'.Julian S

While Chuckit have produced the most durable toys we have found for our 3 year old Kelpie, unfortunately this one lasted about 20 minutes. In 'Fetch Ring's' defence, our little lady pretty much destroys most of her toys within a very short space of time. It would be great for dogs that like to fetch, play and wrestle, but probably not for prolonged vigorous chewers.Mike

Chuckit has always produced great products, and this is just another good one. Has stood the test of time with my two staffies (over a week now – WOW!) and still going strong. With daily fetch, chasey and tug-o-war between them, still looks like new. Only wish it was slightly bigger in size, not only to make it easier for me to slip my hand through when playing tug, but for when they play together – it seems when one dog has it in their mouth it can easily turn up around their snout making it harder for the other dog to grab their end without some nipping of the first dogs face. I love the Chuckit! My dog could chase tennis balls all day if I let him!!! This product is great for many reasons! The first reason why I love it is because tennis balls get so dirty, slobbery and nasty after a while! With the chuck it, you don't even have to touch the ball to throw it! I have a pomeranian pappion mix and boy does he love this chuck it tennis ball thrower. He has ALWAYS had so much energy (he is 2 years old) But i have never been able to wear him out because i am not a good thrower so it didn't take as much energy to get it. This product is great for him! My other dog also joins in the fun making it an even more fun game for him! Every time i whip this out, he goes crazy and runs before I even throw it! 10x the price of the $2 shop variety, but also doesn't hurt your hand and throws the ball at least 1.5 times further than equivalent length non-brand thrower. The blue/orange chuckit balls are great and loved by the dogs over their original orange/blue ones (those who know understand what I'm saying), but, they don't last long. The squeaker pops out of it's holder inside the ball after about four chomps. Then rattles around inside the ball. Then, after a few days of hard playing, the "plug" pops out of the ball and eventually sinks causing you to buy another one. Hence, why I buy 5 at a time if I can. If my dog didn't love playing with this larger ball, I wouldn't buy them anymore.Store (.

I love the orange chuck it balls – with the throwing stick they fly a long way (40m with a weak throwing arm). Perfect for my German Shepherd. The orange ones never get chewed through unlike tennis balls. My dog loves squeakers so I thought this would be a perfect ball. Unfortunately, squeaker stopped working after approx 5 hours of play. One fell apart inside, the other I suspect was full of saliva. Also don't buy if you will have them inside, they are too loud with an irritating sound.Chris

I ordered this ball from Chewey.com. My pit bulls destroy every toy I’ve ever gotten for them within the first few minutes so I wasn’t holding much hope that this ball would be any different. When I felt how soft it is my thought was even stronger that in no time at all id be picking up little pieces of this ball from all over the house. Babygirl was so excited to see her new squeaky ball, and with that the dog vs ball match was on! I would have bet money that Babygirl would prove victorious in no time at all, but that didn’t happen. After about 1 1/2 hrs of nonstop chewing on it she exhausted herself, and took a short break. Although the squeaker stopped working the ball was unharmed. When I say that Baby is a aggressive chewer I mean it. I like it. The dog, so so. He carries it, she's on it, ignores it. Best Chuckit so far is the large glow ball. Something about the material and noise it makes, I believe. Soft enough and springy. My dogs love this Chuck-It fetch ball. We had another one but it wasn't aerated like this one, so my littlest dog didn't enjoy fetch much. With the Chuck-It ball's aerated design, both my dogs LOVE playing and getting competitive. They chew on it, lick it, and play tug-of-war with it and it has not ripped nor have chunks of it been removed from the dogs. Even so, I have a back-up Chuck-It so we'll be able to use them for many, many years to come!Courtney

Pros: -Much lighter: Much less likely to damage teeth when caught directly (wish I would have found this earlier, I'm sure it would have prevented some tooth damage from impact of regular balls with the delicate bottom from teeth– teeth did not get knocked out by previous balls, but the roots died on a couple and I believe it's from overenthusiastic fetch playing and direct impact from ball during direct catches in the dog's mouth– just imagine catching the normal heavy rubber chuck-it balls it in your teeth!) -Breathable: Allows dog to breathe much more easily through the ball, rather than just around it. I never would have thought this was a problem, but now that I'm aware of the benefit, I'd never go back. Great for passionate fetch players, like my lab! -Durable: No problems with it breaking during fetch or even after short chewing sessions that happen before the ball gets put away. -Floats: During water play. Cons: -Very Minor: Dog took a few minutes to warm up to this form of the ball, but it did not take more than 5 minutes for him to figure it out and he plays with this ball as he would his previous balls now without any hesitation. For the small 2-inch ball, the only launchers made are this 25" thrower, and the 14" model. There are no upgraded/pro models, or in-between sizes. The 25" launcher is also very hard to find; Amazon, Petsmart, and Petco didn't have it. Luckily, I got some from Petmate. That said, it is a great toy; our dog loves chasing the balls. And the 25" launcher lets you throw the ball a great distance. Highly recommend.Rule 11

I could tell when we opened it that the ball was different than ones we've had in the past. This was the tennis ball as opposed to the ultra ball that it used to come with. You could see the seam, which I could tell was cheaply made and would not last. Pretty disappointing that half the product is a waste of money!Louupnorth

Best Power Chewer Ball EVER my 10 month old Patterdale Terrier loves this ball! Its light but super durable and I would recommend for any type of dog. Great quality! The green erratic bounce ball is awesome, it easily fits in the ball thrower which is great, best thrown on a path as its hard to locate sometimes in grass – but my dog usually solves this problem for me. Finally the squeaker is his all time favourite ball – its sometimes hard to please a dog with a love for squeakers as the durability of the toy is often compromised, but not with this ball! Although the squeak lasted the longest out of all squeaky toys he has had, it did stop squeaking for a bit, and then it strangely came back again the more he chewed it. Although the squeak went for a bit the squeaker doesn't take away from the durability and suitability for a dog to chew it all day long! Overall a great multipack.Anthony B.

Lets be honest Brooklyn thinks the Fetch Wheel is great, but it is not just for fetch. It is for fetch, catch, keep a way and tug a war. We have many Chuckit toys and all three of our dogs love them, they do not always get used as Chuckit intended. Tug a war has taken a toll. I purchased the Fetch Wheel in April at the start of our swimming pool season and it is used almost daily. Now in late July the orange cover is shredding , but the toy is holding up and still getting a daily work out. I expect it to last 12 to 18 months. In our action packed dog loving household that is a good survival rate. It has been the center of tug a war with a 200 lb guy, 85 lb lab, 50 lb Golden and 45 lb little street dog called Abby. We bought the Chuck It Rope Fetch ball yesterday for our 9 month old German Shepherd. Within the first 24 hrs, the rope has disconnected from the ball. Combined with the Max Glow ball, this is the best dog toy available on modern planet Earth. I have a burly 92lb. pit bull mix with highly developed prey drive, and she will chase the glow ball for hours if I let her. The tiny sport launcher (Sport 12M) is the best, because you can still throw the ball really far, but you can also slam the ball down a few feet away from yourself so it bounces up in the air and your dog has to jump to catch it, or you can throw it up really high so it bounces 15' away or so and your dog can jump to catch it. We sometimes have to play fetch in a pretty small area, so it's nice to have the small launcher for these games. The larger launchers aren't as fun in small areas. You can play the same games but it's trickier to throw the ball correctly. Also, the small launcher is a lot easier to carry. The small launcher fits in my dog-walk-stuff backpack (with the ball in the launcher so I don't have to dig for it later), but the big ones don't easily. The launcher also has a hole in the end so you can hang it from your bag or whatever with a carabiner. The big ones are too long for that in most cases, and swing back and forth. Also-also my dog loves to ask for the launcher, then when I give it to her she plays keep-away and it's adorable. The big launcher I have is harder for her to balance in her mouth, so she just lays down and chews on it until it gets taken away. She's chewed on all of the four Chuck Its we've owned, but she's only broken one (a big one), but that's because she got ahold of it when no one was home. The little one in my bag is totally chewed up but still works great. I think they're sturdier than the big ones. Except for the launcher she chewed into pieces, which was our fault, the only reason we've had to replace anything was because we lost it. Usually we keep the launcher and ball in the backpack so she can't get to them and so they don't get lost, so we rarely have to replace them. There is just not a better value in toys, and the startup price is really low. Once again I really recommend the glow ball! It doesn't get soggy no matter how wet the grass or the dog mouth is. It is fun to chase because it is slippery and it collapses when it's squeezed, so it pops out of the dog's mouth and flies away if they bite it at the wrong angle; it's really bouncy, and stays bouncy because it can't be popped; it whistles so you can usually hear it even if you can't see it; and it really glows enough for nighttime catch, even if you only have your cellphone flashlight to charge it up! UPDATE: I should have said, we have the 12M launcher, which means the handle is 12 inches long and it uses a medium-sized ball. The medium ball is 2.5 inches in diameter, so the launcher will fit regular tennis balls, too! But my dog won't play with regular tennis balls anymore because they aren't anywhere near as fun as the glow balls, and I think she doesn't like having gross sloshy muddy tennis balls in her mouth. I lost my short launcher awhile back and could only get a long one locally to replace it, which reminded me that you have to lean over a lot further to use the short launcher. So if you have trouble leaning over to the point that your hand is a foot above the ground, this may be hard for you to use. I wish Home Essentials Direct would let us choose colors, because my old one was green, and the big one is orange, both of which are bright enough to see in the grass from far away, even at night. Exactly what I wanted! It fits our other Chuckit balls and just takes the strain off my cricket damaged shoulder/forearm. You still need to be able to throw and it doesn't send it miles (nowhere near as far as the full length version) BUT it fits in my coat pocket pretty much which has the advantage of hiding the ball from our doodle dog. Good for when we are in an inappropriate area and/or we want to lead walk him. It is quite expensive (relatively) and took 2 weeks to arrive but it is great!wajir2

These are the best balls I have found for a dog that destroys tennis balls and any other kind of ball. They work well for the hard mouth dogs. They bounce really well too. These balls last, well worth the cost. My cattle dogs munches on them as he brings them back with no damage every time. The only reason we replace is if we lose them, but thats rare because the orange makes them stand out against grass. Received this new dog ball today I gave to my 11 month old Black Lab Pup he just loved it but like to this day I have not been able to find a toy that will last with him have tried many well known brands and this Chuckit ball ended with the same results as the other brands, as seen in photo's maybe for a smaller breed dog these would be an awesome toy as for larger breeds not so good But you have to remember this is just my facts with my dog who I know is an aggressive chewer on toys and this does not apply to other dogs Thank you Chuckit! As soon as I opened the package for this ball, my dog’s tail started wagging. He weighs 70 lbs and is string, but this ball has held up great! It is very bouncy and can be enjoyed on land or in the water. I took it to the beach and my dog was able to quickly retrieve it because it floats high on the water. My female lab, Grace, and her boyfriend lab, John Henry are tough on toys. He actually ate a Kong toy! Every Saturday afternoon while the neighborhood kids play baseball, I play ball with the dogs. This Chuck It! toy makes playing catch easy with dogs that love to run for balls. I have both large and small dogs and they all really love this toy. Normally, I only use this when we go to the park since I don't want to break things in the house, but I think they have come up with a version with softer balls for indoor play. This toy makes it very easy to throw your ball super far. It doesn't take much energy, but it sure takes the energy out of the dogs! If your dog knows how to fetch, you really just have to sit there and launch the ball and wait for your dog to bring it back. My larger dogs seem to be able to grasp these balls better due to their larger jaws, but my small dog enjoys chasing her bigger brothers just as much. This is a great toy for dogs that need to burn off some energy. Just make sure you play somewhere where no people around. Coming back to buy another because it was stolen by another dog who loved it so much! This ball is incredibly bright when its starts to glow. I was shocked how little light it needed to "charge" and how much it lit up, even in the day light. It also gets a lot of air when using the chuckit stick. We have a 2yr female lab – adopted from petfinder. She’s like the energizer rabbit. She could fetch the ball all day. Here’s the scoop: The material is strong, unlike other balls, this has held up for, well so far 2 months – a lot longer than other balls. She loves to chew on it all the time. It really glows bright. We have a launcher not ‘Chuck it’ brand, but works just as well. So far the ‘Chuck it’ balls work the best with the launcher, the others we’ve tried don’t stay in the launcher that well. Here’s the only down side…it is really really bouncy. So far those who have a limited space will have to be careful not to loose it. We have approximately 25 yards of fenced in area for her to run. There’s a standard size metal fence at the end, beyond that is a big hill going down, which I end up playing fetch. So it’s not a big down size, it’s just a matter of space and how far and hard you launch the ball.AbbyLabby

Great idea but the ball didn't last. Second play session the molding of the two rubber portions of the ball split inside it's fur casing. So you're really paying for a launcher to use with tennis balls. I would not recommend until they get the gluing right.Jewel57
