My dog is a Chinese Crested with a deep chest so the size that fits her cuts up a littler higher in the back then I would like but she doesn't mind as she loves a good butt scratch. These are warm, soft and very adorable. Because my dog picks her paws up when I try to set her down anywhere these are not easy to put on with the Velcro in the back. If you have trouble getting your dog in a step in harness the same will apply here. I do like that she doesn't have to lay on the Velcro though as with her being hairless she gets imprints in her skin like we do.Erin S
I ordered this for my Pug Toby who is very broad in the chest area and weighs around 20 lbs. He is very solid and often mistaken for a bulldog. He gets cold easily in the winter and this fits him with no room to spare in size Medium. It is soft and I know he will like wearing this because the Velcro is on the top so he will not be laying on it (he is very picky about seams and snaps, etc). I went with the size medium after reading other reviews about the sizes running bigger, but I would recommend a larger size if your pet has a thicker neck/chest area. I am not one to dress up my dog, but I decided to buy some pj's for my beagle for the purpose of snuggling with her in winter without getting her hairs all over me and my furniture. I read the reviews before ordering, so I knew the sizes for this product ran small. It arrived today and I am happy with my choice of size XL – You can see that it's slightly baggy on her, but keep in mind these things always shrink when you wash them. The texture feels nice and soft and comfortable to the touch, and she seemed OK with both the process of putting it on, and walking around with it on (she is the kind of dog who is skittish and doesn't appreciate weird stuff being put on her). So overall I think this is a win. As far as her size, she is a pretty standard Beagle, slightly chunky because she is a glutton, but not "fat". She weighs around 26 lbs. Finding dog clothing to fit a largeish dog is hard.From left to Right – Mator – 4 month old puppy. 40#,XL.Diesel – 11-13 yr old Catahoula/Am. Bulldog Cross. 80#, barrel chested, thick dog. XXXLBean – 1 yr old Australian Kelpie. 50#. XXL.Mator could probably handle a Large and Bean could have handled an XL. but finding something to fit Diesel, that is the hard part. So finding these that come in XXXL, it was great. I would think, the XXXL would fit out more narrow St. Bernard/Lab Cross thats 100#. These pajamas are my absolute favorite sleeping apparel for colder weather. I discovered them last year and then bought several more pair so that I have clean ones to wear between wash loads. Now I discovered that they were not only on sale, but that there were some prints at clearance prices which I could not resist. Although the dinosaur print was not my favorite, the other prints at this clearance price were unavailable in my size. So now I happily wear the print that my grandson would enjoy. They are so comfortable because of their soft cotton knit, the long length of the top so that it doesn't ride up when I move around as I sleep and leave my torso chilled, and the knit cuffs that keep the sleeves and legs where they should be, so that my arms and lets remain covered as I move around. I love. Y new pine trees knit pajamas. I probably bought it a size too large because I was afraid it would run small. But the extra length in the sleeves is fine and I needed the extra length in the legs. My one complaint is the tag in the back of the neck is horribly scratchy and uncomfortable. There was a big difference between the small and extra small. My pet is a 4 1/2 lbs slender Chihuahua measurements – neck 8, widest part of the chest completely around 12 3/4 length from back of neck to beginning of the tail bone 11. I originally received the small in pink but had to return it for the extra small which fits snugly yet perfect. I liked it so much I ordered another extra small in blue. I will wash this in cold water and hang it since there is no room for shrinkage since it fits so perfectly.Teedonna E
I rescued one of my basenjis last year and he was pretty malnourished most of his life, so even after he's gained weight he doesn't have any fat and very little muscle to keep him warm, so he is always shivering, but his coats and sweaters are too heavy for him to wear inside all of the time. I've had this slush suit now for over a year and I LOVE it. I have a small Bichon Frisee and keeping her dry and white isn't easy. This keeps all four legs dry as well as her body including her belly. The legs were too long for her, but the other features were so good it was well worth my time to make a horizontal pleat around the bottom of each leg to lift the ankles so that she wouldn't step out of them and catch them inside the suit. I hand sewed them so the whole project took less than an hour. I love the way there is a snap to hold the suit in position while you are getting the zipper zipped up. The neck is long and comes up pretty far. The only thing I wish it had is some sort of a hood to keep her head dry, but she probably wouldn't tolerate that anyway. When we get back from a rainy walk all I need to do is dry her feet and her head. The rest is as though she never went out. And because it is a soft fabric (it's even lined nicely), it doesn't seem to be uncomfortable the way rubberized coats are.Claudia S.
The material and quality is good, but sizing is an issue. First purchased a size 18, but to big. Friend's dog has the size 14, so I know it would be too small for my dog. So I exchanged for a size 16. Fits in some parts, but not other parts. Was super frustrating trying to find a proper fit. Overall, cost me $80 for the suit, but an additional $150 to get it altered for a perfect fit. Also, Canada Pooch site was frustrating to navigate. No customer service rep you can speak to or get in touch with. Attempts to email customer rep only led to generic template responses that never addressed specific issue. I bought a outfit size 22 and it just fit my whippet it was almost constricting to her legs back and front . So I ordered a 24 T-shirt which fits and a 24 slush suit. The slush suit is longer than her back legs and almost front legs. She’s swimming in it. So here I go again Canada pooch.. knowing the hat I returned I got half of my money back and had to pay shipping. So needing a smaller size slush suit here is my dilemma. I will have to pay shipping and who knows what it will cost to get my dog a replacement size. The suit itself has structural issues as it is a made to have to be completely taken off. Super cute PJs for dogs! Sizing is accurate and they stretch a bit. If your dog is between sizes like my one was I suggest going up a size. The smaller dog is a 27lb corgi mix wearing an XL, the other is a 50lb APBT mix in a 2XL. We're going to have them wear them for our Christmas card this year, maybe Christmas morning as well! Finding dog clothing to fit a largeish dog is hard.From left to Right – Mator – 4 month old puppy. 40#,XL.Diesel – 11-13 yr old Catahoula/Am. Bulldog Cross. 80#, barrel chested, thick dog. XXXLBean – 1 yr old Australian Kelpie. 50#. XXL.Mator could probably handle a Large and Bean could have handled an XL. but finding something to fit Diesel, that is the hard part. So finding these that come in XXXL, it was great. I would think, the XXXL would fit out more narrow St. Bernard/Lab Cross thats 100#. I have no desire to even attempt that fit of getting it on him, but I believe it would fit. So if you have a barreled chested dog or big narrow dog, this might work for you.Shayla5599

Ordered x2 Green Plaid for humans, 30 & 32 which fit great! Were really comfy. Ordered the 16” dog pyjamas for my Jack Russell, measured her up. Everything fit her length, chest and neck but the legs were waaay too long!! Would not order them for a small dog again. I purchased these for my two dogs. They run small and didn't fit, even though I measured my dogs carefully to make sure they would. They were meant to be for Christmas photos. They weren't even accommodating or offer to send them express to attempt to get them to us for Christmas (I was willing to pay for new ones). Im surprised they haven't warned customers they run small as there seems to be alot of comments of people with the same issue on here and amazon. If you do buy make sure you size up! They are nice pjs and nice material. Im highly disappointed by this experienceFallon
The pjs were cute but didn’t fit. My dog is an odd shap because he is a bassador so he is really long and short. My issue isn’t with the pjs but with the company. The tags were attached to the pjs AND the hanger. In order for me to try them on my dog I had to remove the tags and if you remove the tags you can’t return it. Pretty sneaky. I had to end up removing the bottom portion of the pjs or I would have been out $30 so now my dog has a flannel shirt.Angel J.
