There isn’t much padding between the mechanism and where the dog makes it talk so I’m not sure how long it will last. In the meantime my big dog is enjoying this talking dog a great deal. Its durable, my baby usually destroys toys in a day (poor lambchop didn't have a chance), but she loves this one and carries it around and it has survived a week so far! The ONLY downside (not really a downside, more just an FYI) is if you are annoyed by repeated sounds or phrases, the OH NOOOOOOOO! non stop for 3 hours or so is enough to drive you insane. haha! I've recently started feeding an opossum and that's why I wanted this. It's a very cute stuffed animal. Reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the eyes seem different. The eyes would be just fine alone, but like others I've purchased, they want to add felt or draw around the eye with black marker. There's simply no need for it. But I really wanted this and it was a good price, so I'm satisfied.laura

This is the most adorable plush i have seen, wanted to keep him for myself but handed him over to my kids! The product is good quality and wont tear easy. The fabric is thick but still soft and the phrases he says are soo cute to my kids. He is loud enough to hear when the button is pressed but not too loud to be annoying. My favorite part of this guy is that the sound piece is completely removable from the back so I can wash him whenever my kids get him too dirty, which i expect to be all the time. My kids love this guy so much I might have to get another jsut so they dont fight over him!muempyre

It isn’t super tough so not for chewers but it’s a great toy to toss or just for dogs who like them for comfort.
