When it got here, it looked tiny. I adjusted the straps and tried putting it on our pup but it’s too small! It barely went over her head and wouldn’t close even at the largest adjusted strap point. Either your size chart is wrong or your product is mislabeled. I will be returning this harness. Which is too bad because I love the harness she has from your company but it is stinky now and the smell won’t wash away. This Voyager dog harness is great for my pup! I am training him to walk on a leash and this is so helpful so that I don’t pull on his neck. I got the size XXS for him as he was 4 lbs. He is now almost 8 lbs and it still fits him but I am going to buy another one in a bigger size so I can keep it until he is fully grown. They are adjustable so I will probably get size Small. I abdolutely feel in love with this harness (by far the easiest to get onto my puppy). I love is so much that I jought 6 of them in the past 4 months. Why did I need to buy so many one may ask…becauae that is how many the puppy chewed through in that period of time. I ended up switching brands after the 6th one. I've tried numerous harnesses and never loved any until this one. I have a miniature rat terrier who is 13.5 lbs. He tends to be too big for mediums and way too small for large sizes. Finally, this harness fits perfectly in Medium! There's even a little room to spare in case he gets larger. We wanted to take off pressure from his neck and the v neck design and light weight, soft mesh is great! It's by far the softest one I've ever felt, and I've tried every one at multiple stores. It's so comfortable that it could be left on all the time even in summer since it's so breathable. My dog lives it too! He seems to feel safe and calmer in it like a thunder shirt makes him feel. The first time I took him on a walk he seemed to feel "free". He was so happy to pounce around without worrying about a jerk in his neck. We give this one 5 stars!!!! I got this in black, size medium from Amazon. She has a 12" neck and a 19" chest. This harness is adjustable around both neck and chest. My pup has a high chase drive and will sometimes pull suddenly. I like that the x-shape doesn't put as much pressure on her throat when she pulls, and the double d-rings and buckle closure feel very secure for her leash. I saw one of these harnesses on a friends dog and loved the ease of putting it on. I couldn’t find in in the dog stores I checked so I found Dinky Dog on google and they offered a discount. I ordered the small as my dog only weighs 9.6 pounds. She is a Miniature Schnauzer and has a 17 inch chest so it was too small. The first one didn’t get here quickly so DJ sent another small out. They both arrived a day apart. I notified DJ and he sent me a return label for both small ones he sent and also sent out a medium for me. It fits with room to grow. Great harness and very easy to use. Amazing customer service. I wish more companies would work with the customer like Dinky Dog. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again. You won’t find these at your regular dog store. Definitely worth the money.

I have a 6 lb puppy, 3 months old. I have been trying various harnesses. This seem to be the best as far as a step in harness. It seems my pup has a short neck so the over the head harness comes to close to his chin and he is able to get his mouth around the top. This harness is a step in harness easier to get on. However, since it is an XS it could have been a little narrower around the paw holes. It seems to come right up to the shoulder joint. Also the "D" hooks for the leash do not lay flat if you are at the tightest fit. Because of that, I remove the harness while indoors, especially when playing with other pups. The Plush harness cannot be beat for comfort, ease of use and durability. Our Chihuahua is not overly cooperative on any point, so when I found a harness he could step into that also fastened quickly, the whole process became less of an issue. My favorite feature is the little button clip over the velcro closure. No one else has it, and it is the only one I am able to open without a struggle. We use it every day and just throw it in the washer when needed. Comes out in perfect condition to use the next day. The one we have is over two years old and still works and looks great. However, I bought two more just to have on hand because I can't find them anywhere else and I seriously will not settle for less.
I liked the harness style, but had to return because it was too large despite measuring our Chihuahua carefully before ordering. The other harness had not yet been sent), and I needed a couple harnesses to match. So I have now reordered two harnesses to replace these in slightly smaller sizes, as well as two car-seats and two harnesses for these. So this time I hope everything will work out well for my two Chihuahua Girls, Mariposa and Lily Belle. I am just glad to have found your site since finding things that fit small Chihuahuas correctly has been very difficult, and my littlest girl is only 5 1/2 months old and barely 3 lbs, and only expected to reach 4 to 4 1/2 lbs, so I suspect I will always need a place like yours to make sure things fit her. I live in Colorado, so I hope by fall you will have some nice sweaters for my little Girls, since I have always kept my older Chihuahua (who is an 8 lb Chi) in a sweater during the Fall and winter. Bought this for my pom Jacob. Needed a trachea friendly harness. Had the right measurements, it fit around his body but not his neck. He's a puppy mill rescue so he has a lot of fears. He didn't like it going over his head or how it constricted his shoulders. It even looked uncomfortable. However, I liked the one I got my Max so much, I got one in red for Jacob and that one was a hit! I wouldn't recommend this item for a fluffy dog but maybe on a short coated dog it would be ok.Christa G
I love the fact that this harness is very lightweight and easy to put on. My dog's neck measured 12 inches and his girth measured 20 inches, his weight is 22 pounds, so I bought the large. The harness fits very nicely. I also noticed that my dog is much more calmer when walking, and he does not pull like he did with his collar and leash. Very pleased with this product!

This is one of the best products I've purchased for my little guy thus far. Very rugged and sturdy, and while my little guy is a tad too small for their extra small size, with my needing to do a temporary shoring up on the straps, until he grows into it (if he ever grows into it; him being a teacup chihuahua and whippet mix and weighing in at only 7lbs at a year and 8 months), my furbaby feels ultra secure, and doesn't pull the way he used to with a different brand/type service dog vest he used to wear; he walks with a ton of confidence even while wearing his winter coat which has significantly made training him through our walks, that much easier. I'd say from observing him in it; this was by far, the best purchase of a vest for him so far; I'm confident, I will never buy another brand from here on out. Bought this harness to help my dog stop pulling on walks. It does help with the pulling, but it isnt like waving a magic wand and suddenly she walks perfectly. Its a good tool to use while training on walks though and I dont feel like shes going to hurt herself like when she would pull with the leash attached to her collar. Overall, the harness is good quality. No rips or tears have occurred. The only thing I would say thats a negative is the fact that the straps tend to shift looser over time. So you need to check before each walk that they are the proper tightness. I would also prefer four buckles rather than two. Sometimes it can be hard to get over my dogs head, so it would have been nice if it clipped together on the neck as well as the torso. I do love the little handle on the back of the harness. When we see another dog on our walks and they start barking, it tends to get my dog riled up. So its nice to be able to grab that handle and walk her along with more control. The reflective parts arent super reflective, but the orange harness is pretty bright orange so that does help with visibility. Id say if youre looking to try a harness for the first time, not knowing if youre dog will like wearing a harness, give this one a shot. I will upgrade to a more expensive harness eventually, but for now my dog and I are both happy with this one.stitchinwitchvtg
