Purchased this product with not much confidence made a huge difference in my GSD allergies. Sprayed on the area he was chewing when he would begin chewing. It gave him instant relief, he now comes to get the area sprayed when he chews. I am going to use the same product which is an ointment to see how well it does. Rosebud was biting at her nether parts due to itching. This applied liberally relieved her jitters. I got this because we had two other dogs several years ago who were both affected by itching in different doggy-parts (stomach, behind, etc) and I used a similar product for them which also worked well. 5he skin soother is a great as described! My pup got an abrasion on the side of her snout. The healing process made it itchy so she'd rub her face on the carpet thus rubbing off the scab and the wound would bleed and we had to start the healing process over. I just want to share our experience with the Veterinarian formula clinically care Dog shampoo. I just moved into this apartment complex Jun 2019 and on June 26 2020 picture one. We had a opportunity to rescue this beautiful black dog with some white under her neck (red when we got her because of the leash the lady had on her was twice the size she should’ve had and it rubbed her neck raw where she tied her outside). So as soon as we seen her we knew we wanted to bring her to our loving home where I share my home with my fiancé and 3 children. The ages 12,15,&18. So that day we brought her home and because she was tied outside a lot so with that . We immediately gave her a flea and tick bath and used Walmart brand flea and tick repellent. For her to wear around her neck (Now think about it … her life has completely changed at this point and she was loving it)Then we allowed her to roam the house and to find her spots. All she came with was a cage for her size a bag of Ol Roy and a 2 way oversized hoodies. The lady said here is her food and she’s uses the bathroom outside (obviously) and I asked how will she tell me she has to go? She said not to worry she’ll let ya know then she laughed…. Since having her home after a few hrs she started to warm up us… trusting us. She came with dog food she refused to eat!! Absolutely refused so we got her kibbles and bits and she loves it!! She was wagging her tail with enjoyment and happiness! So I figured she was ok with us. As far as her activity she was active she wasn’t showing a bit of grieving one bit as far as we could tell. (However, with going to the bathroom situation she was horrible at first peed everywhere and pooped behind couches and such but I’ve converted over to puppy pads.) THAT WAS A JOB! yay! Then over a few weeks I noticed her itching and scratching and over the weeks progressively gotten worse… The second Picture (Waiting at the Vets in the floor of the car) I took her to the Vet see if it’s allergies,nerves, etc . Because it started out of no where with no warning signs other then the scratching and scratching so he prescribed a steriod to take at home and a shot of steroids an with giving her those it chilled her down from scratching as much as she was and seemed to be helping but the after a few months she has now gotten even worse than she was she was bleeding all over!! The third picture is her second time to the vet trying to get more information and help not a lot was given but he did say he believes it may be a a airborne allgrine and she would need a shot every 6-8wks she is clothed we couldn’t bare showing how her skin looked was awful (winter she was bare skin with several abrasions where she begun biting herself )😭😭 so after that visit I researched Amazon for help researched google and ran across this shampoo and God am I so ever glad because after a few washes here she is today looks sooo shiny she now looks like picture number 4&5 !!!! Adopted a pocket bully from a lady 2 weeks ago and noticed he had what she called 'hotspots' ALL OVER him. We felt so bad and wanted to do something quick but wasn't sure wat it was exactly that he was enduring. So we picked up coconut oil and fish oil pills to start him on for his coat and skin. Well as healed within a week but noticed REALLY inflamed and almost bleeding rashes on back of his neck and knew we had to do something. Went to Walmart today and found this stuff because we came to the conclusion it has to be se type of skin condition dermititis or parasitic…wasn't too sure but his skin was soooo dandruffy and flaking . Used this as soon as we got home. Followed directions. Left on for 15 minutes ….after he dried off noticed NO DANDRUFF FLAKES!! I rubbed down his back and his back wasn't crunching up from inflammation like it usually does wen I softly scratch down his back . instantly shiny and softer . Happy dog. My 14 year old Chihuahua had weeks of horrible itching and scratching. He had terrible hard scales peeling off of his back that started in small patches and then spread to most of his back. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. You can continue every other day for another 2 weeks.Cricketoes

I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. Im not a vet but am thinking whatever it was it was some type of fungal infection. Benefits of product; it wasnt expensive, was easy to apply, and has a light pleasant scent.Debbie

I am so thankful to have found this today! My poor dog could not stop scratching and licking under his front legs, and they were raw and bleeding. He was whimpering but would not stop. I came home and sprayed the areas with this, and he didn’t freak out like I thought so I know it didn’t hurt! He became calm and only tried to lick a few times before he relaxed and rested. I used it on my German Shepard who is itchy from allergies. It soothed her and cut out the scratching. I would definitely recommend. I did a little research on the product before I used it to see if anyone had any major issues when they tried it. I use it a couple times a week or more depending on how flaired up she gets. I do like that it's an all natural product. I also use the Burts Bees shampoo and conditioner as well. Remember if the dog has opened sores do not use the product you would need to see a vet or get the sores to clear up first before applying.michelle.j

My Black lab has allergies, and when she starts to itch, Burts Bee itch soothing spray gets used. It stops her from scratching her self raw. It starts to work immediately. I want to add before I start my review that I no longer use Burt’s Bees products because I wanted something stronger for my dogs. I also originally bought this product with the intention of using it for one of my dog’s dry skin. With that being said I have a miniature poodle with severe allergies that caused him to scratch at himself until he was bleeding and scratched off the skin in multiple location on his body. He is now medicated and is a lot better with the correct products. This product did help with his allergies minimally but did help his over all coat a lot. His coat was soft and shiny after using the product and after a few weeks his dry skin that was caused by a previous product was much better. This conditioner is perfect. Barely scented. Doesn't affect my allergies. Tried first spraying brushes and all the static fur stayed on the brush. I have used Happy Jack 40+ years but after moving off the farm 15 years ago forgot all about it and began using holistic medications, etc. Well, I do rescue and got a little jack russell with 70% of her body scarlet, oozie red, infected red ears, thick red, hairless legs, tail, chest and face. She had been ill for so long her skin was very thick and discolored. I spent hundred of dollars for 4 months without results then ran across Happy Jack again in the Tractor Supply. I bought mange medicine instead of the dip I had used before and, within 32 (I counted them) hours, her itching has stopped, her skin is now pink not red and her little swollen paws and now a normal size. I will continue to use according to the directions to make sure this is gone but might switch to the dip to treat her in 30 day cycles. If you love your dog and mange is a problem, save your money, and buy this product it saved Lulu's life, she was so severe and in distress that I had considered putting down.Russellwrangler

My dog was scratching constantly causing hot spots an scratches that bled a little not to mention she had this smell that's was offensive. I tried other products and then I heard of this one from a friend, bought it and brought home and put it in a spray bottle to evenly spray her entire body (except in her ears, eyes, mouth or sanitary areas) and to my surprise I Seen instant relief for her and she was able to sleep peacefully and so was I. Would I recommend this product ? Yes, yes I would.. FYI.. You might want to buy a few bottles because you'll have to make sure your pet is wet and massage it into their skin (use gloves) might want to cover areas where your offer lays until your pet is dry. Leave on your pet for 3 days… You'll notice flakes (scabs) that's normal, wash your pet.. Let them dry completely and repeat the happy Jack mange medication. You'll start to notice the hair growing back. You'll be happy and your pet will be happy an you will have saved alot of $ then you would had you went to a vet. I bought all mange treatments from happy jack… I have a white pit with enlarged paw found out it was NOT yeast like the lying vet said it was…..another vet told me it was cancer? only after years of bull! money sucking vet visits! to find out it was mange attacking the animals for YEARS ! My dog was being swarmed by flies because of all the open wounds she had due to scratching her skin constantly due to a bad rash. I tried several prodcuts but nothing was working. I used this on my golden retriever hot spots . It’s allergy season , and I normally use a cream on my dogs . This product wasn’t messy , and my dogs didn’t mess with their hot spots again . This has been a complete life saver. My elderly dog keeps chewing one specific spot. With many expensive vet trips, we've tried so many things that I was feeling discouraged. My pet Koko is a 4 year old Cooker S and he has certain spots on his body that will itch until the fur is gone and the skin is broken. The hydrocortisone didn't seem to be doing enough. When I put this gel on my dog's itchy patches it immediately stopped itching and now we use it daily and the skin is starting to grow back where it was scratched. We used this product on our grand dog. He was a scaly, crusty mess and had lost most of his hair. We took him to the vet and put him a regimen of medicated shampoo, oral antibiotics and an immunomodulator. We used the Skin Soother immediately after his daily bath. We also have him the salmon treats daily. I believe this product helped him regain his health. His color came back and all the scales and itching were gone. So I bought another. Even though the regimen is over, we are still bathing him regularly and applying the Skin Soother. That was over a month ago and he continues to look better than ever! My pug had a dark bald spot on his neck from scratching and I was looking for something that would hopefully heal the area and let his hair grow back. I discovered the skin soother and decided to give it a try and this worked like magic! I ordered the 2 oz stick version and loved it. The application was great. It was very easy and clean to apply overall. I applied it to the area twice a day for two weeks before I was able to start seeing results. The hair started growing back and the dark skin was lightening up and becoming less dry and flaky. At the same time, my dog was scratching at it less so that was a plus. Only thing is this stick was practically gone by my second week. It would not have come close to lasting the month. That being said, I had to order another to see continued results but I ordered the larger tin instead. My only issue with this product is the tin is a lot harder to apply. The texture itself is not as soft and smooth as the stick. I also had to use my own hands to spread it on which I did not like at all. It also gets messy in the tin as my pug sheds so there is now hair stuck in the product. My recommendation to the company would be to have the stick in a larger option and I would gladly purchase that. My 22 month old extremely active male yellow Lab, Gus, developed redness and a rash on his belly area while running him 5 miles every day in and around rice fields in Glenn County, located in the Sacramento Valley in Northern California. I've battled with seb. dermatitis for 2 years had to use hydrocortisone creams on my face and, more especially, around my eyes and eyelids. I held off the hydrocortisone as much as I could but the seb. dermatitis would clear and then come back. I finished up with it behind my ears and down my neck on both sides and just couldn't get rid of it. I thought I would leave a review of the Sebclair Cream as I found the reviews very useful when I was looking at it. So here we go. I have been using Sebclair for about a month now. Prior to this I had been prescribed the typical anti-fungal and steroid creams and had the same results as many on here. It would go away and then reappear as soon as I stopped using the steroid cream, so I though why not give this a go. When I first started the cream my Seb Derm was red, sore and itchy around my nose and cheeks. After the first week of using it, it went to a patchy red but not itchy. The week after that it had virtually gone, but I still had some slight flakiness. I was using it 3 times a day to start with but then dropped it to two and now, a month later, I barely use it. So, in all it is very good. However, I have improved my skin routine by using a facial cleanser and moisturiser by Cerave. Which together really helps keep it a bay. So, I would definitely recommend Sebclair, but I would also recommend a good skin care routine. It won’t cure Seb Derm, but it will definitely help.Jason M

If I had written this review 3 weeks ago I would have given it 5 stars. It was soothing, and reduced redness, dryness and itchiness almost immediately to the point where I was happy to go out without makeup for the first time in literally years. I thought I’d found the holy grail so ordered 2 more tubes. Unfortunately I think the formula has changed as I noticed the consistency was different, not as rich. And worse, I started to develop itching and dryness & redness within a couple of days so I think I must be sensitive to something new in it. The ingredients list on my new box differs from the list on this website. I haven’t kept the old box but assume what’s listed on here is what was in the old tube of cream. So disappointed. I started using this product on my horse a year ago. She had a terrible case of rain rot. I don't like using chemicals on any of my pets, especially not on my horse. This worked great for clearing up the rain rot. It has a delicate, pleasant smell and did not bother my horse at all. I apply it often, even to her blanket when the weather is cold. I haven't had an episode of rain rot since I have been using this product. It also works as a dry shampoo/deodorizer for her coat. Which never looks dull. I've used their Clean shampoo and paste on her coat and bug bites. I am very happy with all their products. I even use their products made for me. My gelding looks like a yak by the time spring arrives as he gets more than a winter coat. It's as though he's wearing a rug. Last year as he began to shed we noticed he had what I can only describe as a dermatitis along his top line. It wasn't from lack of grooming; I stay on top of that. I think that as thick as his coat gets during the winter, he just accumulates loads of skin irritating gunk. This winter I used this powder daily. Usually sprinkled it on after riding or after his grooming right before turnout. I won't say that it 100% prevented the dermatitis because I can still feel some deep under his coat. But not much! I'm completely blown away by this product. I stopped giving apoquel to my dog, not only because of the expense (costing more than $200 a month), but also because of all the reviews I have read about the danger to a dog's immune system with prolonged use. But my large German shepherd continued to scratch and scratch and scratch. After the first application of Skin Tonic Spray for Pets & People, his itching subsided greatly. After the second application a few days later, he stopped scratching completely. I don't know how you managed it, but this stuff is gold! We took our Newfie/Lab to the vet to get vaccinated for a training class. Shortly after his shots, he developed a skin allergy with two hot spots on each hip. The vets thought it was a staph infection and put him on antibiotics & steroids. The issue reappeared after he finished the meds. Recieved a 3oz bottle of Vetericyn Plus Hotspot Antimicrobial Hydrogel for free in exchange for an honest review. I have to say, this stuff is amazing! My lab/beagle mix suffers from skin allergies, and the poor thing will scratch and chew herself until she bleeds, so I was very eager to try this product. The day I received it, I rubbed down her belly with it (this is where she itches the most) and it seemed like she felt instant relief. When she starts scratching, I apply a thin layer of the gel and she stops almost immediately. And it lasts for hours! I love that it is a non-toxic alternative to antibiotics and steroids for a safer way to relieve skin, and vet approved. It's comforting to know that it won't make her sick if she licks it, and is made with ingredients I can pronounce. I wish I had known about this product sooner!JRivera

How does this product compare to other products you've tried? This product seems to be the equivalent to one that I was prescribed for my cat from the vet. The Vetericyn Plus Hotspot Antimicrobial Hydrogel, is a lot cheaper than the one prescribed. What are some benefits of owning this product? My cat seems to have a habit of biting her fur off, usually after I have put flea medication on her. We have discovered she is a bit allergic to ingredients in most flea medication. So, the Vetericyn Plus Hotspot Antimicrobial Hydrogel has helped with the dermatitis that has been caused by the allergies. Would you buy this product? My poor pupper got irritated paws from horrible ginko berries smashed all over the fall ground and then made them worse by licking. They were so red and I felt so bad. This product is on the shelf next to a dozen others that claim to do the same thing, but I didn't get to it until three others didn't get the job done. This showed visible improvement within a day. Bonus that he didn't lick it off – before I tried this I would combo an antimicrobial with one of those "bitter taste dogs hate" sprays, but my dog is weird and loved those things and would lick them like crazy. I'd have to wrap his paws and watch him like a hawk. Not so with this! He stays away from it so it can work…bonus points bc spray plus consistency is easy application. The nozzle applicator is perfect for squirting droplets into the dogs ear. There's no spillage like I've previously experienced with eye drop type applicators.
