We used this product on our grand dog. He was a scaly, crusty mess and had lost most of his hair. We took him to the vet and put him a regimen of medicated shampoo, oral antibiotics and an immunomodulator. We used the Skin Soother immediately after his daily bath. We also have him the salmon treats daily. I believe this product helped him regain his health. His color came back and all the scales and itching were gone. So I bought another. My pug had a dark bald spot on his neck from scratching and I was looking for something that would hopefully heal the area and let his hair grow back. I discovered the skin soother and decided to give it a try and this worked like magic! I ordered the 2 oz stick version and loved it. The application was great. It was very easy and clean to apply overall. I applied it to the area twice a day for two weeks before I was able to start seeing results. The hair started growing back and the dark skin was lightening up and becoming less dry and flaky. At the same time, my dog was scratching at it less so that was a plus. Only thing is this stick was practically gone by my second week. It would not have come close to lasting the month. That being said, I had to order another to see continued results but I ordered the larger tin instead. My only issue with this product is the tin is a lot harder to apply. The texture itself is not as soft and smooth as the stick. I also had to use my own hands to spread it on which I did not like at all. It also gets messy in the tin as my pug sheds so there is now hair stuck in the product. My recommendation to the company would be to have the stick in a larger option and I would gladly purchase that. I bought this for my one dog's really dry paws. He'd scratch me with his paw pads every time he'd put them on me. Honestly, it did work well; within a few days his paws were already looking and feeling better. However, he hates having his paws touched, so it's a bit of a struggle each time (despite easing him into it). Google brought me to the natural dog company because my dogs paws were the stuff off nightmares. Paw pads that look like hair which I learned was hyperkeratosis. Supposedly there is no cure for this. But I thought at the very least this would give him some relief as he must have been in some pain. Well he looks so much better already. The paws got soft enough that I was able to "trim" the filaments off sightly. Yes it was as gross as it sounds lol. He is not fully cured yet but his paws are so much closer to normal already. I thought this was way too good to be true. My dog- Victoria, a catahoula- has severe allergies and has to be on a special diet, take medications, etc. even then, she has still had really bad allergies and chews her paws and legs. I run and walk my border collie 7-9 miles everyday and his paws were always rough so I decided to try this…within 1 week his cracks were almost all gone and his pads were really bad…deep skin cuts are almost fully gone!!! I received this as a sample product. The tube seems like a good size, and the lotion has a thick enough consistency to not drip while you're applying it. We've been applying it most evenings to keep our Dane puppy used to having his paws handled and work on gradually getting his adult sister more tolerant of handling. The lotion does seem to soften the pups' pads a little, though we haven't had any actual irritated spots that needed it yet. They both say it tastes incredible, though!Michelle T
I was excited to try this paw cream on my Great Pyrenees. Her paw pads are really rough, but unfortunately she's not a fan of the application process (or having her feet touched at all). I managed to get this on one paw before she ran away, so I can say it did have some good moisturizing effects and it also felt good on my hands afterward. This does soften a dogs paw pads. Its a nice thick ointment and smooths on nicely. My dog isn't a big fan of it. She is a big girl (80 pounds) and isn't big on getting pampered, lol. She is super outdoorsy and I noticed her paws feel pretty rough. I have applied it a few times. I'm hoping she will get used to it eventually. I bought this based on an article I read by a dermatologist who recommended this for allergies. I use this in conjunction with Zyrtec, apoquel and a strict diet for my dog with allergies. I have only given 3/8 applications but I have seen an improvement! His fur is softer. He still has an allergic reaction at times but recovers quickly. He is starting to grow some hair back. My daughter doesn't like the smell but it reminds me of sandalwood and I don't think it's bad. I'm hoping that this will help his allergies.Jackson
My Veterinarian recommended this product for my Frenchie who suffers from environmental allergies that affect her skin and coat. I have been using it for about 8 months now and it works wonders for her. I absolutely recommend it. This product amazed me!! Let's just say my cat has been SUFFERING for a couple years now! I'm so sad and embarrassed to say that but after countless vet visits she found no relief. We tried antihistamines, a very long food trial to see if it was a food allergy, steroids and two other meds and absolutely nothing worked. Her personality was totally different (she hid all the time and was completely miserable and antisocial). After using essential 6 she is wonderful and finally calm and relaxed and not itchy all the time. I felt so bad for her that I couldn't help her. This product completely cured her! She's at peace now and is part of the family again. Spread the word to anyone you know. Any itchy animal should at least try and see if this works for them. Google brought me to the natural dog company because my dogs paws were the stuff off nightmares. Paw pads that look like hair which I learned was hyperkeratosis. Supposedly there is no cure for this. But I thought at the very least this would give him some relief as he must have been in some pain. Well he looks so much better already. The paws got soft enough that I was able to "trim" the filaments off sightly. Yes it was as gross as it sounds lol. He is not fully cured yet but his paws are so much closer to normal already. He is also in less pain as he is more tolerant of me putting the product on. Once he gets a bit more healed I will use the skin soother in-between the toes. The only con is that this stuff goes fast. I thought this was way too good to be true. My dog- Victoria, a catahoula- has severe allergies and has to be on a special diet, take medications, etc. even then, she has still had really bad allergies and chews her paws and legs. While she absolutely hates this stuff- I don’t know if it is the smell (it smells good, though), but on day 2 I saw a significant change in the redness and itchiness. I was such a huge skeptic because I’ve tried everything and I wasn’t expecting this to work and it has honestly been the only think that is not a medication that has helped. Please get this for your pets. Worst case scenario, it doesn’t help, I’m so glad I took the risk because Victoria’s skin looks so much better. Definitely worth it!!Christy
I run and walk my border collie 7-9 miles everyday and his paws were always rough so I decided to try this…within 1 week his cracks were almost all gone and his pads were really bad…deep skin cuts are almost fully gone!!! I had to order more of it even tho I haven't ran out fully. My dog doesn't lick it off or anything, but the first 2 times, it was hard to keep him still but now he lays there sleeping while I put it on him before bed. He lays still when I put it on in the morning also. I recommend getting the 4 Oz tin cuz I got the 2 Oz stick and after 1 week it's half gone…so if the pads are very rough, you my use a bit more than usual or recommended. I tried the pawtection and it really helped his paws on the cold pavements but we got to about 3.5 miles in on our run and then he started running on the snow, so it doesn't stay on longer than 4 miles, which is ok cuz u don't wanna be out too long really cold or hot weather anyways.Lindsey H.

One of my boys suffered from skin allergies and would not scratching. It was so bad you can see redness n hives as a result of intense scratch. After applying this honey gel I then put a pj on my dogs. Within 10 mins, he was calm again. My other dog love to clean up his mate's wound. It is edible so it's safe even ingested. My dog injured herself in the lips and left cheeks while eating bones, since she can lick easily the open wounds I needed something that is safe and effective. I tried other products but that the wounds got worse plus I feel the ingridients are too strong and harsh. I used the product as soon as I received it. My dog didn't show any signs of discomfort while I apply it unlike the previous ones. I apply it 2x a day and after 2 days the wounds started to dry, they healed quickly soon after that. To be honest I wasn't sure that this product was going to work as my dog likes the taste and licks it.
