Worked great kept my chihuahua in the yard after only a few days of training. the sad part is we had him finally trained to stay in the yard wo a lead and a neighbors pit (one of 4) dug under their fence and attacked him & me. Although he survived The initial attack (and the shock collar survived as well as it was bitten off & scratched but still works) my dog died a week later from complications before surgery. This works great on my Pomeranian. I needed something to keep him from running into the road, onto the school bus with my kids, or into the neighbors yards. I have been using these collars for a few weeks now on my 75 lbs pitbull and my 20 lb chihuahua/sheltie mix and they have been awesome. I have only used the beep and vibration and have made a world of difference in my house. my pitbull would jump and paw at us for attention which was hurting us due to his size. the beep stops the behaviors immediately and rarely have had to vibrate him. my pit also was being extremely possesive of food and starting fights at meal times. the beep makes him.stop instantly and he sits down. my chihuahua mix has a problem with getting on the table and stealing food and also barking non stop. he isnt as affected by the beep as my pitbull so I tend to have to use vibrate more often with him but he is slowly getting on the table less and less. I dont know why I waited so long to try these but I guess it's because I was one of those people who said they would never use a shock collar. I'm so glad I tried these collars before making any drastic decisions due to behavioral issues. the only downside/complaint I have is the charger comes with 2 ports so you can only charge one collar and the remote at the same time. if they are being sold in a 2 pack there should be suffice chargers to charge all 3 at the same time which is why I only gave 4 stars. the collars also tend to need to be resynced but it's an easy process to do.overall I'm very happy with the collarMandy

I have had training collars that cost north of $200. This collar des more and is perfect for dog training. I can normally use only sound, sometimes vibrate and very seldom have to resort to "shock". When I have though I never have to do it again to correct that behavior problem. Only thing I noticed annoying is the firmness required on the buttons. Was reticent to get a shock collar, I could NEVER hurt any animal, but only had to shock him ONCE in two weeks ! He is a different Dog ! As long as you follow the "Command, beep, vibrate order?" He now stops his running away, AND drops any "food" he finds usually just from the beep ! Half the time just the command works ! (Which NEVER did) He knew I was too old to catch him, so there was never any consequence to his misbehavior. We love this collar. We purchased another shock collar previously and this one is by far superior. The battery life is great and my dog responds to the beep, vibrate, and I rarely have had shock him bc the other 2 work so well. This collar has a long range and I am able to beep him when he is doing something he shouldnt outside without having to be close to him. I love that this remote locks so our little ones dont shock him. This has helped us teach him the behaviors to avoid and he has become such a better dog. This product has been AWESOME for our 6 lb and 8 lb chihuahuas! We do not use the shock function. The noise and vibrate options are sufficient for recall as well as correction when they are barking! LOVE having one device to control both. Previously, we had 2 remotes for 2 e-collars. We have found this to be a humane way to encourage the behavior we want to see. I have a couple items from Patpet already and have had great experiences with them and their customer service. I needed a two dog system, so decided to get this one. I do like how small the receivers are on this. My dog who is scared of everything likes this one better than the larger one we have. Also, my 100 lb dog is responding well to it, and she is quite stubborn and is very good at ignoring things. The beep feature on this one seems to get her attention a lot better than some others. I only wish it had a lanyard on the remote, or at least a place to add one.nicole
These collars work great! One controller for two collars is so handy. Our dogs learned very quickly to stop barking if we just beep their collars. It really distracts them from what they are barking about. I like that I get to control the collar, rather than the noise activated type. That way it can be used to correct them when they are doing something other than just barking, such as jumping up on someone or trying to steal the other dog’s toy. After a year of use, with supervision, I can now take my dogs (Basenji & G.Shep) outside on our 3 acres without the collars because they have now learned the boundaries. My favorite feature of these collars is the nightlight and the beep function. The nightlight is perfect for going out at night and keeping my eyes on where each dog is located. The beep function is fantastic, my dogs have learned the beep means to turn around and come back. During training I used the shock function (level 8 & I did test the level of intensity on my own leg) only a handful of times when absolutely necessary and it's never used now. The two CONS I have with these collars are the rubber covers for the progs come off so easily when the dogs are wrestling and get lost constantly. The collars are on charge constantly now so that they are charged up for when they are needed. The collar dies within about 8 hours before it needs a charge even if it's turned off. I like the size but really wish I could find a replacement magnet that turns on the collar. When I first got it and put it on the charger and tried to take it off it came completely apart and showed the board inside but was easily put back together. It is easy to use and I really like the size of it. I paid 50.00 for mine. I don't know that I would pay the 89.00 it is usually listed at. I am using my collar on a teacup schnauzer. Worked great kept my chihuahua in the yard after only a few days of training. the sad part is we had him finally trained to stay in the yard wo a lead and a neighbors pit (one of 4) dug under their fence and attacked him & me. Although he survived The initial attack (and the shock collar survived as well as it was bitten off & scratched but still works) my dog died a week later from complications before surgery. Now i wish Id let him run out of the yard, hed obviously have been safer. Still a great item worked great and it wasnt the collars fault. Id recommend this item to someone even w an older dog. This is an effective tool to train your dog with options to not have to shock the dog unnecessarily. The collar has a good range as my dog has come running back from 4 houses down on the first day when we used it the first time. It has a beep warning that has been very effective in the training process. As soon as my dog hears that beep it stops and sits. It also has a vibration that I use instead of the shock that is very effective. It has an intensity level that can be set. Great product, great price. Using the beep then shock feature on the first setting to train my pug to not leave the yard and run across the street. So far results have been positive. I use the beep mode then shock him on first setting when he gets a foot out of the yard. He now comes back into the yard and I don't have to worry about him getting hurt or taken. I myself had to see how the shock feature felt because I worried about hurting my pug. The settings go from 1 to 100, and each setting does not cause any pain, but a quick zap that just startles you. I use the vibrate feature when my dog barks at others and he stops! best collar yet! I start with the vibration first and then resort to shock last case scenario. It does not hurt as long as you have the shock on the low setting. I have a puppy who is a Aussie blue heeler and it helped a lot especially since I work from home. We got a 6 month old long haired dachshund puppy to add to our family, which already included a 12yo indoor only cat. That was 8 months ago. We did everything correctly from the beginning to ensure that our two fur babies would, at very least, tolerate each other enough to peacefully coexist in our home. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we just never have been able to stop our pup from chasing, cornering and general tormenting of the cat. Don't get me wrong the cat has now for the most part stopped running and stands her ground which means there is a noisy fight. To clarify, the cat is fighting and hissing and growling. The dog thinks she's playing and loves the game and he hears nothing else when focused on this game. Out of desperation to stop the yelling, fighting, hissing, etc I began researching training collars and finally settled on this one. We LOVE it. It worked the first day! It's now been over a month and although our dog is stubborn and have had to adjust settings and levels it still works great. It hasn't stopped all of the dog's harassment but it's so much better.
