Realistic Moving Toy Dog For Sale (2024 Update)

The guy retiring from my job wife said he couldn't have a dog throughout there marriage. So for his retirement i got him the perfect solution. This little dog is awesome and cute with his big eyes. Hopefully she won't complain about the volume but she can't complain about the clean up. I haven't given it to him but i hope he enjoys it. We have been playing with it at work. I am wondering if my little corgi chihuahua mix would like one as a little buddy. The best part about it is you squeeze his but, tweak his tail, squeeze his ears or pat his head and will do a trick for you.pigbisk96

Saw this toy on TV and thought it would be good for our friend's 4 year old. She loves him! We own Pembroke Welsh Corgis and she is fascinated by them, so now she has her own! This was a big hit with my niece for her birthday. We had to let her friends take turns with it because they all loved it too! Very soft, and the voice is sweet. She is only 2 so she mainly dragged it around by the lease, but she did press the buttons when we reminded her they were there.Linny1224

The look and feel of the dog was great, and the fact that there were lots of commands it could follow was a bonus compared to other toys, however within a day or 2 the dog stopped responding so it had to be sent back. This toy seemed like a fun Christmas gift for my daughter. The dog worked okay for a week and then a leg busted so the dog couldn't stay up. We returned the dog and got a replacement. The second dog kept randomly dying all the time every couple minutes and just would not work. When I bought the toy there were no reviews out since it was new but now that it has been out a few months I see several people have had the exact same issues I have experienced. Overall, the dog is not a great toy. If it does work, the movements are really robotic and not life like. This toy is way too expensive to break or not work. Do not buy this!Topjak

My daughter received this puppy and she absolutely loves puppies. We took it out of the box immediately because she wanted to play with it. The puppy barks and walks a little bit when you tug the leash. The puppy doesn’t keep walking along with you which I think would have been better for her since she is basically just dragging the puppy around. The puppy also comes with clips as well but you can basically only put them on the puppy’s ears because the hair is not long enough. Overall my daughter loves it but I think a few tweaks could make it better.AngieY

My daughter is all about barbie. She has a bunch of barbies and is always looking to get more for her collection. This barbie walk and wag puppy is definitely different in her collection but an exciting addition for her. This puppy is adorable. Right out of the box,this dog is very soft and cute. It comes with hair accessories so you can really personalize the puppy. My daughter had fun adding the barrettes and bows. Her favorite, of course, is the dog being able to walk. With some pull to the leash, the dogs walks and barks. She lit up when she saw the dog actually walks. It's so cute watching her pretend and really interact with her puppy. This is an awesome toy that is very interactive and fun to play with. It's perfect height for my 3 year old to play with. she loves to walk her puppy around with the leash it comes with. The accessories are cute and fun to play with. The leash and the interaction is great. putting on leash is easy for a kid. you can use it like you have it on a real puppy. tugging on the leash makes the toy bark. it's fun for the little ones. walking, wagging of a tail, nodding of the head – etc. interactions are very cute and helps kids keep engaged/busy/entertained. With new balls, and a new machine, the product is exactly as advertised. After 10 minutes of fetch, the ball is too wet to throw as expected. The ball gets dirty, and the machine does too, creating a muddy internal process. The balls sent with the machine were subpar quality, and lasted about 25 throws a piece before they were starting to come apart. The machine doesn't adjust for ball sizes, so as a tennis ball wears down, the machine can't grab it, and forget about a tennis ball without it's hairy skin, they are too small by far. It's charging good, and working well if I keep putting new tennis balls in it, and run a towel through it, (although that's hard to do.) I suggest a manual adjustment be added to future products, to change the distance between the wheels that grab the ball. I think a tiny tweak on my machine would allow it to through hard rubber balls that wouldn't get nearly as dirty or wet, and keep the machine cleaner. Overall, I think the product is good, but is flawed in design. If there were just a few more capacities to make it work in the field and with different ball sizes, I think it's be a very strong product.Adam T.

I prefer toys that require some sort of interaction rather than those items that seem do everything while the child watches. This walking puppy does his own stuff but still requires interaction from the operator. What’s more is how he provokes our kiddo’s imagination. She talks and treats the toy as if it was real. Thus far, it seems to be well-built and can handle being dragged when the child wants to go faster than the puppy walks. It is soft and adorable, just like a real puppy! This is a really cute puppy and a really cute idea but I do think it needs a longer leash attached to it because the puppy can't take more than a few steps before the child has to take steps just to keep up with it. I like how it has only two buttons which makes it very simple for a small young child but the button that makes it walk didn't always work on ours. Sometimes you had to push it 2 or 3 times before it would start to walk, but the button that makes it bark and wag its tail works every time and it was so adorable. If it was just a little more realistic I might have considered trading my (real) puppy in for it LOL. At least I don't have to feed this one or take It outside to potty and clean up after its messes. I really do like this puppy and I hope that it comes in more color variations so that kids can pick whichever puppy they like the best instead of having only one to choose from. The kids really liked it but my real puppy was unsure what to make of it. I think it should also come with some kind of brush or comb so that kids can practice grooming the animal as well. That may give them a little something to do when the parents are tired of hearing the barking, yapping and tail wagging. All in all I do recommend this puppy for young children. I have a 2 year old, 4 year old, and 5 1/2 year old. They all love this furry puppy friend. Even the 2 year old can make the buttons work. He's tough enough to handle their play so far. He's soft. And he's a decent size although not large. However, there are two concerns. 1) He is attached to the controller by a thin plastic leash. When the kids fight over him there is a tendency for one kid to pull the controller and the other the dog. So far he has not come apart and I stop them doing this as soon as it starts. But I wonder how many times that could happen before something comes apart and he can no longer be used. 2) We curves to the right quite a bit when he walks. He does not walk in a straight line but veers to the right. This makes it inconvenient to follow after him. I don't know if this is intended, for him to make a large roughly 5 foot circle, or if ours is defective. I'd rather him go in a straight line. Other than that, he's a decent toy and the kids love him. He isn't super loud, but his bark can get annoying and is easily heard, but that's much like any other kid toy that they play with non-stop.Amy

I like the design of this and it has a sweet face. It included batteries so it was ready to use out of the box. My kid wants a puppy but it is not a good time to adopt right now so this is a nice alternative. My kid is just the right height for this length of leash. It can walk forward, backwards and bark. She has wanted a puppy, but due to her allergies we have not gotten her a real one, so this was a great treat for her! The first thing she did was name her puppy "sparkle." This toy takes four C batteries, which for this promotion came with. The quality of the puppy is great. A very solid toy. Also, pretty realistic for a toy puppy. The fur is super soft and great for cuddling with a young girl. The puppy comes with a collar and a leash (which is non-removable), this is the device for walking with the puppy. On the end of the leash there is the handle with the button for walking the puppy. You push the button and the puppy walks/barks/talks (of course in puppy language). On the top of the puppy's head there is a bow, which if it is tapped the puppy sits down. The instructions said that the puppy responds to voice commands, although not super clear with what commands it responds to. This puppy came with an optional application which can be downloaded to your phone or tablet. The application is free. This really optimizes the interaction that the child can have with the puppy. The puppy just has to sit close to the phone/tablet and they connect via blue tooth. There are numerous games that you can play with the puppy with the application and the puppy with interact according to what is being done. Very cute and intuitive application. It does make a bit of an annoying sound of the "talking" between the puppy and application. This puppy has played with the girls for hours. We received this product as a review from Hasbro. From the perspective of my 4yr old daughter this was a hit. This toy has gotten more teeth brushed and tea times that any of her other toys. Taking it out of the box and getting it ready was a breeze. She quickly caught on on how the buttons on the leash worked to control it. For the first few weeks I just let her play with just the toy and then showed her the Iphone app for this toy. It was like getting a new toy all over again. Initially she thought it was just a game and did not understand that it interacts with the actual dog. She still has not caught on to it yet but the app has kept her entertained. Her parents get a kick out of how when you wash the dog in the app the FURREAL Dog starts getting upset and makes noises to show it This toy also moves around by rollers, it does not walk. Movement on rough terrain was a bit unsteady. The noise leve from this toy is acceptable. It is not loud or overpowering. It has been a few weeks and she is still playing with it and having tea parties with it. So in her eyes she still loves it. NOTE: I received this product free from Bzzagent to honestly review. Though I might not have sought out such a toy on my own, I was excited to see how my four year old child would interact with it, and she was overjoyed at its arrival. The toy is even cuter in person, and well made. The fur is thick and soft, so the puppy is cuddly, her eyes appear almost bright and "shiny" and the mouth and nose look quite realistic, all things considered. The leash walking is fun and she seemed to respond quite well to the leash control button and moved fine on tile and carpet. The tail wag is very much like a real dog's, as are the head tilt and the playful open mouth expression. Sometimes the pup will also spontaneously charge forward on its own. My little one discovered that one cool thing the pup can do is be "stood up" on her back legs and then flip back down to the ground on her front paws. It would be nice if the toy could react to simple voice commands or to hugs, or run purposefully towards objects placed in front of it. However, as she is, there is plenty of room for creative play, such as running doggy daycare or a training obstacle course for pups (which is what my child and her friends have done, among other things). The variety of sounds she makes (from whimpering to dog singing to loud belches) is entertaining but random. One issue I have is with sound-based interaction. The toy is supposed to react to hand clapping by moving forward, but this seems to be a bit spotty and can be a little disappointing for smaller children when it doesn't work. Also, it's advertised as being compatible with a downloadable interactive app. My issue with the app is that only about 50% of the time does the dog respond to it in any way indicating that they're really interacting– it's supposed to make sounds in response to activities, such as getting a bath or being fed, but the dog just continues making random, unrelated noises. I'm aware that the phone must be placed close to the dog (and loud enough) for it to respond, but this has been very hit and miss. This could be a phone issue, I suppose, but there is nothing wrong with my phone or its volume. My daughter still enjoys playing with the app sometimes with her puppy next to her, and apps are definitely not a top priority in my book for a toy given to (in this case) a preschooler, but if I were paying good money for this toy, I would not have been very impressed with this function. Two months out, the toy has definitely not been abandoned in our household. The toy has seen daily use and still looks brand new. Battery life is great. This seems to be a very durable, quality-made product. Given a few limitations, I don't think that I would pay the current "going rate" for this toy (maybe the price will drop over time?), but it has been an enjoyable companion, and my little one certainly likes her.bluepoodles

We got this as a gift and kinda glad. I thought when I first saw it that it must spin around and move but when we opened it up we found it does nothing but make noise. My 2 year old pressed the button twice and hasn’t touched it since. May 3 month old is scared of it and it’s so big it doesn’t fit anywhere. We kept it for a week then donated it. I recently received the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn So Big Puppy for my one year old. The puppy sits on its own easily. Only the battery pack at the bottom is hard. You’d want to make sure no one got hit in the head with it because it would certainly hurt. The rest of the puppy is very soft though and a child can easily snuggle with it if they wanted to. The large head size is nice because I think it draws attention easily. My 1 year old immediately put his face on the puppy’s head and then patted it. The music is great and makes my 1 year old dance. It’s not just the typical learning songs you usually hear with kid’s songs but instrumental music as well that sounds more modern and would make anyone want to dance. Even my 4 year old started dancing. I find myself pushing the button just to listen to the beat of some of the songs! Some of the songs are about letters, numbers, colors, friendship, etc. I haven’t heard a song yet that is super annoying, but since there is only one button to push, it’s completely random what you will hear. It would be better if there were multiple buttons to push so you could choose a category like letters or numbers. The box also said there are 90+ phrases and songs, but I’ve only heard a handful so far. The same ones tend to replay. So I’m not sure how to change that as there is only one button to push that’s on the belly of the puppy. Sometimes when you just pick up the puppy and move him he starts to sing though. There are two stages of songs though. You just switch the mode on the underside of the puppy. It’s nice for switching things up so you’re not hearing the same stuff all the time, but again it would be better if you could have more of a say in what you wanted your child to focus on. There are also words labeling certain parts of the puppy. The word “wiggle” is on the ear and the words “spin” and “jump” are on the bottom paws. These areas don’t do anything. It leads one to believe that if you press them the puppy will do something but they are simply just words to look at. It’s a little disappointing but I guess you could teach your child some of the letters. It would have been better to just have the letters of the alphabet spread out all over the puppy. Overall I think it’s a great toy for babies and young toddlers. Both boys and girls will like it. And I think parents won’t mind it because the music is more modern and not super annoying. It’s also not super loud on the higher volume setting so a kid can still enjoy it in a quiet atmosphere.Al410

This Puppy toy was much larger than I had anticipated. It has a hard bottom for the battery pack so it can sit up well. It would have been nice if it was full of beans instead of being hard plastic on the bottom. It has two sound levels, which is always nice for toys that make sounds. It only has one big button on the front that plays a variety of different songs and lights up. It also has two different levels of play, which is nice. Unfortunately, it didn’t keep my 2 year olds attention as much as I had hoped, but he still plays with it on occasion.spsmith

Bought it as a gift for my 9 yr old grandson who has autism an always wanted a dog but since he has allergies we thought it would good for him, well we were all amazed at how life like "Freckels" was responding to touch and voice even wags his tail yawns and snores.
