Dempsey is a Golden Retriever with large heavy ears. He loves to swim. Using a cotton ball to remove the residue (and icky stuff), and she clearly hears better. It should come as little surprise that any cat is going to hate having a liquid put in their ears. My cat hated her very expensive prescription medication that never did fully eradicate her ear mites, so I didn't expect her to feel differently about this product. It's too early to say with 100% confidence that this is going to knock out the now only slight, but persistent ear mite problem she seems to have, but so far, so good (3 days of applications). The only tricky thing is remembering which ear I got on each application because there is no way on earth that I can get her to let me do both ears at once. Fantastic product at a reasonable price. I have a outdoor cat named Kringer and he contacted Ear mites which covered his beautiful ears. My poodle has a lot of ear hair that needs to be cleaned often. In between baths, the smell can get kinda funky. Used this ear rinse to see if it would help and it does. It keeps the waxy smell away longer but it's not mask any existing smells. It's easy enough to use and my dog doesn't seem to mind it too much. It says it will get rid of bacteria, viruses and is antifungal, which sounds like it ought to cover everything. My kitten has that typical dark brown stuff in her ears. It didn't work better than the standard cat ear cleaners. I used it almost daily for two weeks or so. It loosens the gunk so you can wipe it out but doesn't get rid of it at it's source, which is the whole point. There's new dark brown gunk still being made down in her ears daily. I rescued a dog. He had bad ear mites, took care of those with mineral oil. Took him to a vet and for the same old make money bit, he had an ear infection. So, he got antibiotics orally. I have four dogs, the most recent being a Saint Bernard. While I knew floppy eared dogs had more of a risk of ear infections, I didn't really think a Saint Bernard's ears were that floppy. Well after two ear infections that I went to the veterinarian for meds, I talked to a longtime Saint Bernard owner who said they keep their own personal supply of ear meds on hand. So I started searching…I read nothing but great reviews about this product, so I purchased. Once it arrived, conveniently my Saint Bernard had started to develop that ear funk smell and redness. I began using it as the bottle instructed and low and behold the ears got 100% better within days! I now use this regularly when ear problems start to arise and the wax starts to build up. I don't necessarily need to use it for the 7 to 14 day period now, it's more of just a spot treatment as needed and boy does it work. I generally put some on a cotton ball, put in the ear and massage. Then I'll go through with q-tips and wipe away excess wax while also adding the solution onto the q-tips. Same story as others with constant vet trips and put on meds for ear infection only to go back a month later for the same thing. Then 2 days before a Holiday I could not get in to my vet as they were too busy and booked up. I knew my cocker's ears were hurting. I started the zymox and the next day went to emergency vet. My cat has had a chronic ear issue for the past year or so, has developed acute swelling in his face and most recently suddenly developed a large lump under the affected ear. He has been treated by the vet w/ various meds and is on Prednisone. Everything tried has only worked temporarily and his ear and sinus infections have become chronic. He is 15 and the vet doesn't give hm much chance at improving. He has had various allergy issues most of his life. Regular ear cleanings by the vet seemed to improve his condition, so when I found out about Zymox I decided to give it a try. Well, after 7 days of treatment, the lump has all but disappeared and his sinuses are finally draining, reducing the swelling in his face ! I chose Zymox Hydrocortisone free because of all the meds he's been bombarded with, will treat him for 14 days to see where this takes us, but am VERY optimistic ! The vet is impressed and since he knows about Zymox, am disappointed he didn't recommend it sooner. The only problem now is he had gone off his food and I have been finger feeding him as well as spritzing water into his mouth. He had lost 2lbs from refusing food, but seems to be bouncing back. Any suggestions for the loss of appetite possibly brought on by the fact he may not be smelling as well and eating may have become difficult from the sinus issue ? The loss of appetite is recent, otherwise w/ the Prednisone he was eating up a storm !natthecat

I bought this duo because my poor dog (shepherd mix) sometimes has yeast build up. It's decreased A LOT since we stopped feeding her any kibble with a chicken base – advice we got from a vet. Still, she gets plagued from time to time. She was having a very sensitive issue, so bad she wasn't hearing, when we bought this dynamic duo. I washed her ears with the wet solution and then have been using the dry relief every few days. Works extremely well!! My 4 mo/old golden retriever started getting dirty ears from swimming and playing in the backyard, but nothing was working or I had to clean her ears every few days. After using this stuff her ears stayed clean for over a week before I had to clean them again. It’s been over a few weeks since I got this and her ears are very clean still! 10/10 recommend!

I have a AKC Brussels Griffon female who has had ear infections since a very young age. The vet has wanted to do surgery on her for a long time. I had her ears cropped because, when born, they were huge! and I could forsee infections coming in her future. She is now 11 years old and that prediction has come true. I'm sure she's had the headaches that go with them. I've tried several ways to keep her ears clean but NEVER stick anything into the ear, used only approved methods of putting drops in, myself, waiting for the VET to do manual digging if needed. This is a serious issue with her, but my other Griffons have not had this issue, only her. After trying several solutions, I have found this product to be most effective in helping relieve her pain and control the ear wax buildup even as good or better than Hydrogen Peroxide without the danger of getting it in her eyes. She tolerates this well as there is no bubbling sound for her to cope with and it helps numb pain. Not a smell to avoid. This product is worth the money if your animal has ear issues as mine has had. My cat has major ear wax/dirt in both ears and it's not ear mites either. It's been a pain to get them clean, she hates me cleaning them. With this product I can put it in and clean her ears out relatively fast and it makes her happy and me too. I definitely would recommend it!!mwtravel3
My labradoodle has recurrent ear "issues" – sometimes infections, sometimes just irritations. I think she developed some resistance to antibiotics, and I think its a bit ridiculous to treat her ears with antibiotics so frequently, so we were looking for an alternative cleanser and treatment. I used the treatment for 10days when we first got it, and that seems to have cleared her ears up. We use the cleanser at least weekly to keep up with keeping her ears clean and happy. She has big floppy ears, and she plays in the woods/streams daily – she's a dirty pup; keeping her ears clean and infection free is a full time job, but this product seems to help. I'll continue to use it frequently. It's easy to use. Not messy or smelly. The dog tolerates it well. My German Shepard had recurrent ear infections for over a year. At first it was once a month, then twice, and it ended up with painful inflammations every week with pus discharges and bad smell. That was terrible, nothing helped, antibiotics prescribed by vet stopped the process for some days, but afterwards everything was back again, and internal antibiotics made my dog weak. Then we found out that this was not a bacterial infection, it was fungi! But we could not find any efficient remedies against it. We used oregano oil and similar herbs internally, but they helped also only for a while. Then I found out information about Zymox and ordered it, that was our last hope. The first time I cleaned my dogs ears with Zymox, it smelled awfully. The next day the smell was not so bad, and after some other days there were no smell at all… We used it as indicated, 14 days, but already after 7 days my dog recovered. It is 10 months from then now, and there is no more any sign of ear problems…. I am SO grateful that someone has developed such an efficient product and there is a possibility to order it from abroad. I can't imagine where we would be now if there were no Zymox….Helen
I adopted my boy Rex from a neighbor who lived down the block from me. Rex was being sent to the pound, he had ear infections from a puppy, he was 5 years old when I adopted him. After 7 months of trying to heal this pup, I found Zymox Otic with hydrocortisone. 4 (Four) days later I saw the yeast dying and my Rex was comfortable for the first time in his life! No more shaking of his head, no more pain…Rex is doing very well, he's happy and healthy. IF you do not have some Zymox in your dog owning tool kit you need it! How many times has your dog developed an ear infection after a grooming? I foster dogs and have this handy for all new dogs, current dogs and recommend it highly!!!!!!!!!!! Have sent it to my foster families as something they need to have on hand. Found this ear rinse for dogs at Walmart by Pet Armor brand. It's priced very reasonably at under five dollars tax an all so it's affordable for most pet parents. We had no choice but to find a safe ear cleaning solution bc our dogs are pitty's with unclipped ears so they're prone to dirt/wounds. This solution seemed to work very well without causing further irritation. After rinsing, wiping out, and cleaning his ears we've noticed a huge decline in his head shaking/scratching so I'd say it's definitely a great pet parent item to have on hand!megan.p
I have a West Highland White Terrier and he has had ear infections practically from day one. I have probably spent thousands of dollars taking him to different vets and buying prescriptions that they prescribed. We have some dogs with big floppy ears. They also love to roll in the mud and dirt. So, as you can imagine, that can make for some disgusting ears. Every now and then, their ears need a good rinse out from all of that and this is really good for that. I have one that gets bumps in his ears that I worried about them burning with this. I bought the product a couple weeks ago because my dog was prescribe this due to an ear infection. Before applying the product I had the vet do and ear flush just so that when I applied the medicine it would be on a clean as possible ear. My poor baby's ear was red and swollen and I could see crusty stuff starting to come out I applied as directed on package and by the next day there was a definite difference his redness was down to a pink color and the swelling was down even tho per vet instructions it said to apply once a day for 10 days I did not feel the need to complete the 10 day dosage because by the 3rd application his ear was back to normal. I've used this many times for my dog's ear infections, and they always respond well, and clear up quickly. However, this past time, my dog seems to have lost his hearing. After some research it seems that can be a side affect, which may or may not return. I feel terrible, and I know he must be scared and confused. Please be careful using this product.KW

I have an English Cocker, with long heavy ears. She is prone to ear infections. My vet recommended this product. I put it into both ear canals, and then rub the top of the ears for 30 seconds, making sure I get that wet, squishy sound. I do it three times a week, and she has not had an ear infection for 2 years! The only negative is that it has a little bit of a chemical/perfume smell while it is still wet. As soon as it dries, there is no smell. When the house is cold, I put the container in the microwave for about 5 seconds. It's much more pleasant for her to have warm solution going into her ears.Joan
I have a golden that has severe allergies and has to see the dermatologist they recommend this product 3 times a week once a day to keep the yeast at bay. It really works it has limited her issues. 5he skin soother is a great as described! My pup got an abrasion on the side of her snout. The healing process made it itchy so she'd rub her face on the carpet thus rubbing off the scab and the wound would bleed and we had to start the healing process over. I put skin soother on her abrasion at bed time. The next morning it wasn't red and angry looking and she didn't rub her face on the carpet. Started my pup on the skin soother after he developed allergies. He was scratching himself raw and needed a steroid taper to alleviate his discomfort. Upon starting the skin soother, his skin improved within the first day of use. I was so impressed. After multiple uses (and with help from identifying an allergen) his skin is nearly healed with his fur growing back. He doesn’t even fuss when I go to apply it now! Also can’t say enough good things about the Himalayan chewy bars! My dog can pretty much chew through any “long lasting” treat within 30 minutes but these chews keep him occupied and satisfied for days!
