Our new hound arrived 2 mo ago from a rescue group in Mobile, AL. We started him in a large hard-sided crate for ‘security’ but he quickly settled into sleeping and being confined when we left for errand running. He often investigated his sister’s large soft-sided crate and would settle there for a nap so he seemed ready for his own. So now we have two of these is our bedroom. Tess’ door flap has been left open for over a year – she prefers her crate to sharing the bed with us. Enzo’s still confined by the flap as he’s pretty mischievous. Each dog was sized up a size for their weight 42 & 52 lbs as they alternate between being curled up and stretched out when they sleep. The crates are easy to vacuum out toe dog hair and come with a nice fleece covered mat that is a washable cover over an encased foam. The case is also removable by zippered closure. So I like the idea of this kennel. Foldable great! That way it doesn’t take up so much space when the dog no longer needs it, or for ease of transportation. Hose off, a must. The first one came broken at the hinges, replaced quickly. However it is not an effective kennel for (some) dogs. My 25# girl broke out after only a few days of use. Tt was showing no issues the morning when she went in, but upon returning home the mesh window on the short side opposite the door was shredded. Unfortunate. This is not an issue covered by the warranty. At this price it should do better. Would I recommend it… well I won’t buy it again.Trayounger

We bought this crate around a year and a half ago, it has been barely used and when used it has simply set in the boot so no abuse to it… it is literally falling apart. The zip is broken and the side panel stitching has come apart. It was a waste of money. I was so pleased at the start but it just doesn’t hold any kind of use. For the money spent I’m frustrated. I have tried calling customer services multiple times, no answer and then one answered then hung up on me! I really wouldn’t recommend this for any kind of proper use.Catherine005

I wanted a soft crate with a top opening for my puppy that will be arriving in mid July. As a pet sitter, I've seen my clients crates and as good as they were, this one is that much better. It's good looking, has openings on three sides and the top plus has foldable shades on all openings. It comes with a sherpa inside mat that's not plush by any means but does the job. I called customer service when I ordered and they helped me pick the right size and told me that if I wasn't happy when I received it to let them know and they'd pick up the original and ship me the new size. Well, it arrived quickly and and i was informed every step of the way. I think the size will be perfect but I'm confident that when my girl arrives, if needed, this company will honor their commitment and switch sizes. I'm really happy with my purchase. Fabulous overall experience. Product was received in a timely manner, well packed, and the product itself is the best! There are too many junky soft-sided crates on the market. This one is sturdy, putting it together is a snap, and the pad inside can be replaced with all kinds of options when needed. We generally replace a pad on the inside about once a year just to keep them fresh. Our dogs actually like the blue ‘cooling’pads more than big fluffy pads anyway, but they are Shelties with a lot of hair. The crate itself is just superior and I have just ordered a second one for another pup arriving soon. Really, I can’t say enough good things about this crate. If your pup is a chewer you might consider a hard crate temporarily till they move out of the chewing phase but there isn’t much to chew on in these crates anyway as the canvas outer shell is very tight doesn’t give much leeway to chew. And our current 6 month old Sheltie goes in to the crate to lay down completely on his own – it’s his own little abode and he is content.Joy F.

Fell apart roughly a year after purchase. The plastic pieces / connectors for the frame literally hardened and crumbled. The crate was never used to travel anywhere either. It simply sat in a carpeted bedroom. I was fortunate my dog was not in the crate at the time so that he wasn't injured. I reached out to support and sat here since April. Yes since APRIL (so 6 months), trying to get 2 replacement pieces of plastic, which I have been told are backordered and that I'll hear when they arrive. Today they reached out to me and are telling me I need to pay nearly $100 for the s2 piece of plastic, so half the cost of the entire crate. If I had known that I would have simply contested the charges for this piece of junk and bought another crate from somebody else who won't keep me sitting here. I've had this for 2 years and been able to use it less than half the time. Get a better made crate from literally anybody else.Aiden

Bag is sturdy and well put together, the material is nice and the metal zippers/decorations are strong. The straps are adjustable, and held well, until I filled the bag full of really heavy items to test how much it could withstand. The pop up bowls are great, and so are the insulated containers. The entire bag is insulated which is a plus. The poop bag holder works great and doesn't tear the baggies. The little included velcro divider is neat, and offers a solution to keep items seperated in the bag. Overall we really liked the bag and will keep taking it to our trips out at the park/lake.Anoxeyh

Love this bag! I have a medium-large dog and it holds all the food he needs. The big compartment is big enough for his towel and toys and still has room for other stuff. We mainly use it for the lake, but it is perfect to bring on a weekend away. It is very durable and cute! Highly recommend.Jamie

Disclosure–I received this product for free as part of REI's Product Advisor program. It's a good pack, and I think some of what I didn't like about it can be chalked up to the fact that I'm used to certain features and configurations in my 70L pack from another brand. That said, this is a fairly light and roomy pack if the 60L size works for you. I loved the roomy side pockets. So now the nitpicky things about it: there are only 3 adjustment settings for torso length, as opposed to other packs with a sheet of velcro that gives you infinite adjustment possibilities. It appears that the Garnet 60L is only one size, and at 5'7" I felt it was a bit short for me. The hip belt was riding a bit high on my hips vs right on the iliac crest like it should be, but when I tried to lengthen the torso using the 3 aforementioned adjustment points, the straps seemed to sit in the wrong place on my shoulder blades. And since the straps are pretty bulky and stiff, this configuration caused me a lot of pain on my shoulder blade–so much so that I had to readjust and deal with the improperly placed hip belt. So now I just deal with the hip belt being a bit too high. Also, the side compression straps are a tad on the delicate side and are strung through the rings such that it is hard to really yank on them and compress the pack as I like to do for maximum carrying comfort. Another feature that I'm used to on other packs and this didn't have is the garage, which is handy for carrying wet or yucky items or things you want to get to quickly like microspikes, rain gear, etc. Lastly, it seems like a lot of design effort went into the trash bag, but I couldn't figure out where to mount it on my pack so that I could reach it without taking the pack off. Anyway, I just use a bread bag that I keep in my left hip pocket for the same purpose. Kudos to BA for promoting the LNT concept though. Still overall good pack, I'm just attached to my other brand since we've been on so many journeys together.Lenore

This lightweight pack for overnight trips is beyond amazing and checked off every box (and I had high hopes!). I only have pictures from before my first trip as both hikes I went on recently were during horrible storms with flooding and I never once took my phone out of its dry spot. First, style. This pack is adorable and the colors are minimal but vibrant. Girly but very subtly which I adore. Second, comfort. This pack has shoulder straps and a hip belt that fit me, as a woman, much better than any pack I’ve used before. My back was comfortable for 45 miles of trail walking and hiking. I had no blisters or chafing spots, I was able to cinch and secure every strap in a way that molded to my shape. Third, practical design. This bag has it all and made my hikes so enjoyable even though the weather was terrible. It was plenty big enough for my food, clothes, sleeping bag, etc. It has a back panel that unzips so you can reach out like a duffel bag and grab things instead of only from the top. So many pockets, a spot for a 3L bladder, and it comes with a trash can! (See my third picture.) The thoughtful design that went into this trash can to help me secure my own litter and any I found on the trail, blew my mind. This is the best hiking backpack I’ve ever used and I’ll be getting rid of my other options now. What a relief to find one bag that has it all. (Note: although the bag is decently waterproof, I didn’t take any chances and did use a rain cover I already owned over it during the especially rainy parts of my trips.)Sundoglover49

I used this backpack for a birding trip, and it went alright. It fit my blind, snacks and water, a small lunchbox for some cold items, light sources, field guide, field notebook and writing utensils, poncho, trekking poles, and all the typical small items (sunscreen, bug off, toiletries, etc.) After hours of hiking, my back and shoulders still felt great! The weight distribution was excellent, support was in all the right places, and I like how secure everything was. The waist pockets are useful for quick-grab items like compass, chapstick, after-bite, and so on. I do wish the waist pockets were big enough for my cell phone though, but I had pants with pockets so it wasn't a huge deal. However, I'm 5'0" and it inhibited some visibility in that I couldn't tilt my head upwards because of where my head was on the backpack, both with and without my hair tied up. This problem doesn't exist for me with other brands. I tried all sorts of strap arrangements and ways to tie my hair back and out of my face throughout the trek, but to little avail. It is disappointing for birding specifically, because I often look upwards when I go on these trips. After the trip, we figured out how to adjust the frame for torso length. The backpack does not come with instructions on how to adjust this, but there is a pocket on the inside of the main compartment where you can access the backside of the shoulder straps to push them through (to the outside) to move them to a different hole. This adjustment was a lot more difficult than other brands. They could have made it so that the back panel can expand; I'm petite and getting my hands into that pocket in a position to push the tabs out was quite frustrating. With the torso length better, we went out again, but I still couldn't look up farther than the horizon. Again, this is not a problem with other backpacks for me. Weight distribution, comfort, everything else was fine like before, so at least that's consistent. I haven't gotten rained on yet while using this backpack, so I don't have comments about how rain-resistant it is. Overall, good backpack, but if you're short, you may not be able to look up easily, and the torso length adjustment is annoying (but you only need to do this once anyway).cinz

Have been doing photography for about 7 years now and have always loved the nostalgic look of film. By chance I was recently given a Pentax K1000 35mm camera and so needed some film. Kodak Ultramax seemed like a good entry price point and film speed, so opted for that. I’m really happy with the images I got back. It has a nice amount of grain that adds that filmic quality but is does produce quite a cool colour temperature, so a slight blue cast even on warm, sunny days. I would buy this film again but as a film newbie, I have many more to try first!Phil P.

As a beginner on a budget, this film is perfect. Accurate reproduction of colours and sharp images have made this film a fast favourite. I've used it for everything from golden summer evenings to darker winter days, and have been satisfied with the results. I've even used it for long exposures of star trails and that has given great results too. Highly recommend!k.h.

Used this on my hike of the West Highland Way and Cape Wrath Trail. This was nearly a month-long hike so the price was the main selling point for me. After shooting three rolls, here is my only criticism, Ultramax struggled to balance the level of detail in the dark green grass of the highlands and the details of clouds (not great latitude between highlights and shadows). This meant that some of my sunset shots required some correction but at the cost of some muddy shadows. On a positive note, Ultramax provided realistic skin tones, strong contrast and juicy colours.Ewan S.

The kids enjoyed Soggy Doggy a lot. They enjoyed hands-on gameplay. Fun game. Had a great time with game night trying out a bunch of new games through Tryazon and the Spin Master Summer Game Night. We played Beat the Parents, Less is More, Headbanz, Sink N Sand, Soggy Doggy, and Escape Your House. The other games played as described. Everything was well made, had good instructions, and was enjoyable! I’d definitely recommend any games by the manufacturer Can’t wait to play them all again soon!Bill

The kids had a blast playing Soggy Doggy. The parents were very hesitant with the “shaking”but it really does not make a mess. It is simple for the group of 5 years olds to pick up on and play. It comes with the soggy doggy, the bathtub, game board, player pieces, tokens and die. You do need 3AA batteries so make sure you grab those too. The play is as simple as pumping, spinning and the excitement of seeing if you get wet from the shaking dog. This is a game we grab and play during the week as it has a short play time.Littlmiss83

This game is so cute and fun. We had ages 3-adult playing and everyone was able to understand the rules (some with help) and have fun. Parents, you will be happy to know this doesn’t make as big of a mess as it seems in the advertisements! There is very little water mess from the dog shaking, and the game board around the tub is waterproof. Gameplay is pretty quick, which is nice for young attention spans. The dog body is rubbery and dries well. We’ve only been playing daily for about two weeks, but so far there is no smell or mold issue with any of the pieces that get wet.KKul

We have two fairly small dogs and this gate is amazing for containing them. The opening between our family room and our living room is 70" and this gate spans the opening perfectly. I especially like that it is free-standing and not attached to a wall. Because it has substantial plastic tabs that "catch" between the two walls of the opening, the dogs aren't able to push it open or push it over. Since it moves easily, they are able to insert noses between the gate and the wall it is pressing against and squeeze through that way. We have solved that with a jug of kitty litter against the gate. Not really attractive, but effective. It is very easy to move out of the way and put back in place, so I can get in and out of different rooms. It is short enough for our cats to jump over (20") and my husband easily steps over it (he's pretty tall). Our dogs are a Shiatsu who is fairly small and a small standard poodle. Neither of them has attempted to jump over the gate (they aren't jumpers). Larger dogs or those who are jumpers might be able to jump over. Our son has a very large standard poodle and she is quite able to get over the gate when she visits, so this might not be perfect for a larger dog. It's great for our smaller dogs, though.Jazz Cat Lady

This gate works great. I needed something big enough for a 50-62 in opening, but also strong enough that my dogs cant push it aside so easily. After we put it together, this gate/fence is perfect for our needs. This in house fencing is very sturdy and worth buying. If needed I would by again!Christopher

Besides being extremely adaptable to a variety of situations, it’s also terrific looking! We have a wide archway that we wanted to block off after our floors were redone and this does the job beautifully. I love that you don’t have to drill holes in your walls like most “gates” this large. And I love that I can just pick it up and use it to wall off another area whenever I need to. I've been looking for a while to find a gate that would fit my space. I have a 66in opening. They all look great then you read the specs. 4 panels that are 28in wide. Well that wont work. I love that this one has the hinges between panels! It will fit the space and look great! Congrats to whoever came up with the design.KmTaylor

I bought this gate to confine my dog in the kitchen which has a large open doorway. It fit well into the space and looked nice. Installation was pretty easy although I had to screw into drywall so if I were keeping the gate I would need to purchase anchors for the screws to ensure stability. For the most part this gate was just what I expected and I was initially happy with my purchase although the door was sometimes difficult to open with one hand. Unfortunately I have an incredibly agile dog and within a day of the gate being up she figured out that she could easily jump right over it. Will be returning the gate since it doesn't fulfill its intended purpose with my dog. I am sure it would work very well for dogs who are not able to jump so high.LuvMyShiba

Seems to be well made and easy to use. But if you stretch it out straight across and you have a wooden floor you will need to put something such as a rubber strip to grip it down. Cause when you try to open gate up gate it has the tendency to slide a little. I put something under side and fixed the issue.Piggyjill

Though I haven't used this yet because we haven't traveled since receiving it it seems that this is a much easier way to bring food with us for our pup as opposed to putting it in a plastic bag or dragging his whole food bag with us. If your pup eats canned food though this will not be helpful for food transport.S.J.

I ordered a small set for my cats And a large set for my dogs since we were going on a 3 day road trip to move and would need all their food, treats, bowls, leashes, toys and brushes all in a travel friendly bag, and these worked perfectly for stopping for water and potty breaks and going in to hotel rooms at night. I fit 3 days worth of food (2 cups morning and night/12 cups total)in each large food bag for each of my dogs who eat different food.; 110lbs dogs who eat a lot of food! The small bags held WAY more than my cats actually needed in dry food (one 8 pound cat and one overweight 17 pound cat). I didn’t even try to fill them up to see how much they would hold since my cats only eat a 1/4 cup of dry food twice a day with 1/4-1/2 a can of wet food. These travel bags were just what I was looking for to make our road trip easier on our animals and to make sure we had everything they would need all in one place! The large collapsible bowls were great for water breaks on the road and were fantastic for eating in the hotel room. I bought extra collapsible bowls so all 4 animals would have their own food bowl and a water bowl. Our trip would have been so much more chaotic had I not received these the day before we left! My only complaint is that the inner part of the food storage bags get caught up in the zipper when zipping and unzipping, so make sure you go around the rim of the bag and bend it down so it doesn’t get caught in the zipper.MotherTwoBoys

First of all, this bag is cute! The ID tag is bone-shaped and the fabric inside has a paw print pattern. Secondly, it's functional as well. The food bags easily held enough food for one week away with my large dog. The collapsible dishes are easy to clean. And the placemat came in handy. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because it is a bit flimsy and won't hold up well over time. But if you only use it every once in a while- it will serve it's purpose well.Dani

I wanted to try this clipper mostly because Oster has been around along time with the A-5 type. These looked like a more comfortable shaped handle than the old type. They are a nice clipper, I think more suitable for pet owners to do their own grooming at home. I work at a Vet Hospital as a tech/groomer and really prefer Andis clippers overall for heavy duty daily use. I returned the Oster brand in exchange for the Andis brand that runs about $50 more.DeborahGrace

I bought these clippers because I love the Oster brand. Unfortunately I am on my second pair and sending out for a third, not good! The first time the housing broke off withing 8 times of use (never dropped them) and now the on/off button gets stuck any time I try to turn it on, forcing me to pry it out with a screwdriver. The base also gets very hot, very quickly so you don't burn the dogs but you burn yourself. They are quiet and well contoured for your hand but it's certainly not worth it.Jessica

One gate was broken when it arrived. They were both so poorly made I could see they would not hold up with use. Found same design gates at Petco. For lower price. In addition the return process to Walmart was not simple. But your employees in the Redding store were very helpful. Especially Kimberly.Cheri

This gate does not stay put well at all. The tension does not hold it in place with just about any level of pressure. I used it as a dog gate and my puppy just knocks it down without much force. It really only works if he doesn't go near it. I even tried to use it on my back porch but it just fell down the stairs from the wind and scared the puppy. He didn't even touch it. Maybe this would work well in a new construction home with perfectly flat walls or doorways, but I live in a historic home built in the 1890s. All the doorways have original wood trim. I cannot get this gate to stay put in any of our doorways reliably at all. Two stars because it's cute and inexpensive, so maybe it works for some people; very flimsy construction though and it doesn't stay in the doorway well at all.jessica.s

Not very sturdy and difficult to set up properly. As noted in a previous review, the mechanism does not slide properly so you can fit the gate snugly and easily to the door opening. I finally discovered if you turn the whole thing upside down, the slide seems to release and works when you turn it right side up again. When you finally get it in place, the bottom doesn't fit snugly and you have to tug on each side and pull it towards each side of the door opening. If you have patience, it might work well for a small animal, but my 25 pound puppy knocked it over easily, never mind the adult dogs. If you want something reliable, keep shopping. You'll probably have to spend more money to get something sturdier. I'm still looking.dltcd

This is my third canine sport sack. Previously I’ve tried different sizes and had the original design. My little 17 pound shihtzu poodle absolutely adores this backpack. He goes wild whenever he sees me pull it out of the closet. It’s not only great for when we have to go place to place by public transit, but it’s also wonderful for some upright time after feeding him because he has a little bit of acid reflux. My first impressions with the canine sport sack plus 2 are how great the fasteners have been improved and how there’s so much more padding at my shoulders and underneath my dogs rump while he’s in the bag. I’ll be interested to see how putting the attached bag to the backpack will work, but so far it’s been great. I am a repeat customer and I’ll probably keep buying from them in the future.Stephanie

I have a two-year old bicolored seal ragdoll cat. At 20 pounds, he's ginormous! You can watch him grow. In accordance with the instructions, I measured and weighed my boy and promptly ordered a medium grey K9 backpack, thinking he would grow into it rather than out of it. Big mistake, I could get two Baci's in the pack. Graciously, Heather at Hiking Dog returned the medium to stock and promptly sent out another, size small. The workmanship and materials are superb, pricing appropriate. Let's hope Baci likes the pack as much as I do. If so, photo forthcoming.Lynne W.
