Very good. Bought it because my dog fell down a flight of stairs in his excitement and was limping for a few days. After I gave this HA to him, he could walk as per normal and jump around after two days. Don't know if it was his natural recovery or the effects of the HA. But I have read alot about HA and trust that it does help the joints and can be absorbed into the body. However, I must say that it is an expensive purchase. Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. He was scratching and biting at himself 24/7 and he caused an infection on his foot from the constant licking. He was so miserable until our vet put him on apoquel along w an antibiotic for his infection. The apoquel worked very quickly with relief felt later the same day he started. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. First off, this product was shipped to me with every precaution against seepage, spillage or the bottle leaking (see photos). I order a lot online and was very impressed at how the product was packed for shipment. The bottle was encased in a bubble, sealed pack that I had to cut open with scissors to access the 32 ounce bottle. This product contains 1600mg of Glucosamine Hcl, 1200 MG Chondroitin Sulfate and undisclosed amount of HA (Hyaluronic Acid). The formula also contains aloe vera juice, citric acid, potassium sorbate, vegetable glycerin, Stevia and water. There are some cautions such as pregnant or animals intended for breeding that safe use hasn't been proven so read the caution section carefully. For my small dog, the directions stated to shake the product well, and measure out two teaspoons; there is a weight chart to indicate what dosage you should use according to your pet's weight. (Refrigerate after opening the product). I mixed the formula in with my dog's food, and she didn't seem to turn her nose up at her food, she is a very picky eater. She finished her food with no issue each time I added the liquid which was daily. I haven't used this for very long but after a few days, she seems to be moving with more ease. I will continue to give her this supplement because I believe just like humans, as our pet's age their joints begin to deteriorate and anything I can do to lessen her pain as she ages, I'm all for.Paige

This supplement is easy to administer, I just mix it in my dogs dry food. She did not seem to like the taste clean, but it mixed into the food really well. I'm hoping great improves very little ones. I would recommend the lightest dose possible (weight-wise) as this med could upset your pups tummy. My boy is "borderline" dose via weight and the higher dose did upset his stomach. My vet recommended Phycox Max joint chews several years ago. My golden retriever has taken them daily since. She gets one right after her morning feeding and barks at me if she thinks I have forgotten. She is 12 years old now and moves around better than most dogs her age.Kitty

As a runner with 4 dogs who are my daily running companions, I'm always looking into products that will help with the issues that go along with aging. My 10 year old cat was literally dying because she could not eat and was getting too weak to drink. She was getting palliative, hospice type care but I didn't want her to starve to death. I take care of feral cats and I Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) them in order to decrease the cat population in my neighborhood. When spaying a female cat, you have to keep them for at least 4 days for them to appropriately heal and have the affects of the anesthesia to wear off completely. One of the ferals that I trapped was a skin-and-bones female that was really too young to be having the kitten she was towing around with her. So I trapped her and her only surviving female kitten, had them both fixed and proceeded to "Fatten them up" and have them heal completely. "Under the Weather" Ready-Cal was the perfect supplement to give to both mamma and baby while they healed. I kept mamma in my care for one month because she was so pathetically thin. In that month, Mamma's coat changed from a rusty brown to a glossy black. She gained weight to where you could no longer feel her ribs poking through her fur. She did not like indoor life AT ALL and could not be socialized or handled, so she was released back to her outdoor home. I continue to feed Mamma every day, even built her an outdoor heated shelter in my fenced in yard. She is very content now. She now loves people, but cannot be picked up off the ground or lifted, but allows petting and head scratches. As for her kitten, she socialized very well, is awesome at vet visits and handling, and doubled in size very quickly because of the added Ready-Cal supplement and gained weight at a rate of 1lb/month. Her blood work came back from the vet as perfect. She was de-wormed, de-fleaed, and now is added to our family as a "foster-fail" which means that she is just too stinking cute to adopt out, so I kept her as part of our family. Under the Weather "Ready-Cal" is now expected on their food during all feedings. If I put their wet food down without the Ready-CAL supplement they sniff it as something is not quite right with the food. Once I apply it to the food, they lick the brown calorie-dense "goop" (as my husband calls it) off the top of the food first, then they dig into and eat the rest. I do not feel that the kitten and Mamma cat would have recovered so fully and have such good health now if it was not for the Ready-Cal supplement. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. I haven't had the nerve to try it as I thought it could just be some nut trying to infect your pet even worse. In June of 2013 I rescued my black cat. The Humane Society told me Sooki was about 2 years old at the time. Within a few months she started licking everything—including the furniture and especially the house walls. I took her to a Vet and she was diagnosed with feline stomatitis. Her gums were inflamed and it was recommended that all of her teeth be removed–a standard practice. I found another vet who said he had previous success with 1-TDC with cats suffering from this incurable disease. He started her on 2 per day. After 6 months there was about a 50% remission. After a year she showed no signs of the disease. The Vet said she would have to remain on 1-TDC for the rest of her life–1 per day, which I have continued. I cut off the tip and squeeze the gel onto a plate for Sooki to lick off. (She likes it.) As far as I am concerned that second Vet saved Sooki's life or, at least, her quality of life.CatLover2

So my dog is about 14 years old and has some joint issues due to age and injuries over the years that cause him to limp sometimes and he struggles with clbing on things. He is also a fairly picky eater. It took a few tries to get him to eat these vitamins, and I'm pretty sure it was the smell or the fact that they look like medication. He does seem to like them well enough now that it's been a few days. He was already on supplements that we were pretty happy with, and these seem to be producing the same results. They seem help reduce his overall discomfort from his joint issues, and his digestion! I've always found it hard to review vitamins of any kind because you have to just trust they work to some extent. My two dogs love these, so that's good! I do notice a difference in their digestive health, which I love. One of my dogs has a sensitive stomach and I would often hear gurgling noises and she would have gas after dinner. Probiotics would help her a little, but after about a week of use with this I did notice that was calming down. After consulting my vet again asking if this could be helping she said most likely it is. This makes me happy as I've spent many years trying to find something to help her. As for the other ingredients, mobility, joint health, and bone strength aren't issues for either dog yet. My vet said these ingredients will help to delay some of the onset of age related complications. Won't save us forever, but definitely worth it!Topher3727

This supplement has alot to offer your senior and keep them healthy and moving well. It has many benefits that are tailored to life stages. I like the Vetericyn brand and have used it before so I feel good about giving the supplements to my dog. I would recommend this product and I continue to use this product on my dog. The only downside is the pills are hard, my dog will not just eat a pill. I crush the pills with the backside of a spoon and add to some wet food and mix together. On 22 July 2017 my guinea pig was given a massive Vibravet doxycycline overdose that damaged his digestive system. This product helps the ‘good’ bacteria in his tummy to flourish and supports gut motility. After the OD I fed 2 tablets/day. 1.5 years later I still feed one tablet per day (0.5 in the am, 0.5 at night). My guinea pig will most likely need this tablet for life. Beejers (a rescue Pom-Chi) is just 7 lbs and I used the expensive stuff on him the first 3 months when he came to his forever home with the 2 Bengals & I, cuz it said "WATER-PROOF". Beej is a real stinky little thing & needs bathing often. He loves his baths & will go & jump in the shower when HE thinks he needs one! Fat chance of that expensive stuff being water-proof !! Poor little guy got a TICK in his little ear & brought in a few FLEAS between monthly applications. I have had lymes & am petrified of ticks. A herd of deer (notorious for dropping fleas & ticks) cross/graze on the lawn daily. Have used Sentry Fipro on the cats for 8 yrs. with excellent results, so ordered some for him.
