My dachshund lab mix ( weird I know) started having seizures every 4 weeks or so. They got worse as time went on ( he is almost 3), the vet prescribed seizure medication which he'd have to take " for life" but after reading on it I saw very bad things about the dogs quality of life. After researching I decided to try this first I figured what could it hurt. I turned to this product for my cat after everything else failed. She has a chronic sinus infection that did not respond to multiple rounds of two different antibiotics. The only reason why I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because it took a little longer than expected for these to kick in. My dog has terrible anxiety and when it storms, she shakes and pants heavily and just paces everywhere. We adopted a Cocker Spanial when she was 4 years old. The week after she turned 5 she started having cluster seizures. We have spent thousands of dollars bringing her to her vet for this problem. My 13 year old mixed breed has had severe reactions to thunderstorms for years as well as high anxiety in other situations. Sometimes his shaking was so severe, the bed or sofa would shake to the point that I could not fall asleep. At half dose, this formula calms him down in 5-10 minutes and he is his usual self. Our Natural Vet carries this and suggested we use it for our 15 yr old chihuahua/terrier mix who has doggie "dementia". He would get so agitated and cried a lot. I have been using the cushings gold for just over a month on my dog Max. I share him with a close friend and we have both noticed a big difference. His begging for food and insatiable hunger has subsided. He is not urinating in the house anymore! Max is 10 years old and I lost my previous pomeranian to cushings disease. I bought this first time for Pnut (Peanut). It made him nutty and neurotic. It did something horrendous to him. He did great with "calming" chews that have suntheanine (an amino acid) I saved it away in a drawer… this stuff lasts for years because it is a tincture with glycerine. Pnut died. Destroyed me and then I got two more cats. On stressful opp I pulled it out and wow.. it was miraculous. My third cat will eat food with it on it, but he neither gets neurotic nor zens out. I have used Bach rescue remedy for many years now. I have saved birds lives, calmed feral cats and it works wonders on nervous dogs. Use just a few drops during thunderstorms or fireworks for dogs. Our elderly mini Schnauzer has become more anxious as she's aged. She reacts to smart phone alerts, loud people, quick movements, etc. Over the past 5 years, I've tried several CBD products and a prescribed medication from the vet. We rescued our third Dobie and she’s very anxious. We’re trying not to put her on prescription medications, if possible, so we decided by recommendation from other club members to try this first. I’ve definitely noticed it works to an extent a period of time. It’s progress, so I’m happy. I just want to make sure that she’s happy and not too anxious whenever it thunders or we have to leave her alone, but that is rare. My dog simba was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico. Then he lived in a rescue for a while. New stimulus can make him super anxious. I was hoping this would be the product to make exposure to these stimuli less frightening.I was so excited to receive my first bag, I ripped it open and went directly to Simba. The excitement stopped there. First off, my dog didn't want to eat the treats as a treat. He refused to eat it alone. I had to hide it in his food. After eating it he became super lethargic with no other symptoms that I had noticed at the time. So thinking the treat was working too well, the next day I halved the recommended dosing for his weight. Later that day I noticed hives and a large nasty rash that spans over his entire back. My baby has never had issues with allergic reactions but something in this product triggered it. This was the only new addition to his routine and environment. It's been a few days since the discontinuation of the product in conjunction with antihistamines and antibiotics and his skin hasn't fully recovered nor his energy. He's better but not fully back to normal. Thankfully he's fine but I obviously won't be continuing use of the treats.Sarah

I agree that my dog, a lab hates the flavor and was seeking out the pill and spitting it out until I tried baby food turkey and chicken in the little jars. I use a baby spoon and bury the pill in the meat. She gobbles it up and does even notice even the pill. We do it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. That too has resolved which makes me believe his liver is on the mend.Yvonne

My Senior dog 12 year old pug, has IBD Irritable Bowel Disease, secondary to Pancreatitis. I have been giving him Fruitables Digestible Pumpkin in his food for the past three years. I use just a dollop or two. When he has a flair up I add a little bit more to his diet. He is however on Prescription Hills ID wet and dry so I mix the two then add the pumpkin. I always add a bit of water…. My little guy rarely scoots anymore, but does have to get his glands expressed every other month which is typical for the breed. I stand behind this product. Pumpkin off the shelf at the grocery may be cheaper but this is specifically developed for our four legged friends. Pumpkin on the shelf is for pies. My dog loves the taste. The shelf life is great, but after opened you have 7 days. If you won't use on a daily,you can put in ice trays with water and make pup pops. Pumpkin is healthy and extremely good for the digestive track~ Always a great treat! I find that 360 continues to carry the best price. We have two short hair chihuahuas and they are very dandruffy. Anytime they get a nice scratch they're covered in dandruff. Especially noticeable because they have black fur. The bites are bug for my cat, i have to split it into 3 so she can eat it. She loved it at first but then didn’t care much about it. Our 11 year old boxer mix has had a lot of allergies with treats/dog food. We switched her to NW Naturals for her daily food as well as treats and she has done amazing on these! We have used the frozen nuggets, the freeze dried nuggets (love for travel!), and the treats! My Pomeranian is 14 1/2 yrs old. She was diagnosed with trachea collapse. The doctor suspected she had Cushings Disease, and I'm quite sure she has. This really is amazing stuff. My vet said that my 14 year old jack russell's days were numbered. Her resting Coritisol was 6.9 before starting treatment. At 6 weeks (last week) it registered as 5.1. A drop of 26% ! These 2 supplements have gotten her almost to normal range – wonderful! I plan to have her tested again at 10 weeks and we shall see if she continues good progress and gets into the normal range. I have 6 small breed rescued dogs that are all seniors. I've been using this for all, except one dog for many years. One of my dogs has a very sensitive stomach and can't use this supplement (I believe it's a beef and/or liver sensitivity), but the other dogs have no problem at all. They like the taste and most importantly it really helps! All of my dogs being seniors, 9yrs up to 18yrs (yep, 18 yrs old) have joint issues from age and this really seems to help with joint pain and even joint popping/cracking. They seem to be able to play more on this supplement too! If I ever run out, I noticed their joints popping more often and after only a couple days of using this product I notice a big difference. I haven't used this for larger breeds or younger adult dogs, but I imagine it would be great for them too, especially with all the joint issues that come with larger breeds. FYI, ALL the supplement sizes are the same product but with different sized scoops and dosage instructions based on the scoop size. I believe all the jars except the smallest size come with a larger scoop (supposedly 1oz, but seems to be more IMO) and the dosage instructions are based on the included scoop. So, if you're like me and buy a large sized jar for multiple smaller dogs, make sure to check the dosage instructions on the small size jar accurate instructions. Or maybe just contact the company for more accurate dosage instructions. Also, I've had success starting with less than instructed and slowly adding as needed to prevent upset tummies from the diet change.Joy

I have rotated MANY joint supplements over the years, but Nupro Silver is by far my favorite. The value for the money is incomparable for a supplement with such fantastic ingredients. If your dog is picky and won't take supplements, this is your best option. It makes a liver flavored gravy when you add water so they actually go nuts for it. I love that you can cut your portions in half after extended use as well. Newly adopted very stressed pup. I purchased three Thunder items, one of which was a bottle of the Calming Chews. Tried the Chews several times over the course of a week and a half in different situations. Sorry but found each time that there was no change in my dog's reactivity level – and on one occasion the Chew seemed to make him more stressed. So my 6mos. old pup is super hyper at night running around my apartment. He just have this excitement and energy at night when i come home from work. Also before going to sleep we still have to wrestle on my bed for a good hour or so. He just have that so much energy probably because im out all day. So i decided to buy and try this calming chews with hemp, and i say it worked 30mins or so after giving him 2 chews. Crushed it with my fingers and mixed it on his kibbles. Hes over 50 pounds and I gave him about 12 in 24 hours and they did absolutely nothing to stop his barking while in his den. He acts very alpha and this does nothing to prevent that. Not buying another bottle since not even double or triple the dose works.Doglivesmatter

I used to hide my dogs medication in cheese. My vet did not want my dog to have those extra calories and protein, nor did she want the possible problem with tooth decay. I slice these in half and hide the pill inside. It is possible to form these treats around the pill. My dog adores these treats, and gobbles them first, before either her wet food or dry food.noelspears
