I have an older dog with very bad breath. That is why I purchased Sea Dent. First I knew I would have to disguise this and not sprinkle on food. I use bits of snack cake with creme filling. Initially even disguised she was not happy with taste. After a few times she eats disguised Sea Dent with no problems. This immediately stopped her bad breath. To early to tell about her teeth improvement. I would recommend but be aware your dog may not like the taste.Aussielove

Have a 15 year old rat terrier with very bad teeth, just due to her breed, and since taking this her bad breath is no longer as potent. Her teeth color has changed from green/black to light brown. Not even her dental visits have made this impact. She is food motivated, so is not a picky eater. I also use this for my 2 year old Dutch Shepherd who is a picky eater and she devours her food so fast when we mix it in! Total recommend! This works well. My dogs' teeth were pretty clean to begin with no significant plaque / tarter build up, but after 2 weeks of using this, they are cleaner and look like they just came back from the dentist. I was worried that they would not like the taste. I put this in with their yogurt they get in the mornings and they eat it all up. So no issues on taste even with 1 who can sometimes be a bit picky. I plan on using this with some brushing and see how it goes long term with keeping their teeth clean.celtilu

I don’t know what I did to my tooth but it hurt so much I couldn’t even sleep. Ordered this, applied it, and it provided instant relief that lasted through the night. If you get it on your lips, gums, or other soft tissue it does burn but my experience was not as bad as others who posted…it stings a bit but nothing major. I skipped using the little cotton balls and applied it with a Q-tip (following the instructions so product won’t drip). I found it much easier to apply this way and I didn’t get any of it on soft tissue this time so zero burn. Others have complained about the taste, which isn’t pleasant but if you keep it only on the tooth the taste is minimal and again not that bad. The smell isn’t bad either. It’s made from cloves and that’s how it smells. Well worth the money and does exactly what it claims it will do. For the past week I’ve had throbbing , aching , sharp pain from a broken filling that fell out , leaving my nerve exposed . Pain so bad I was really to rip the tooth out and break my own jaw in hopes that the pain would go away or even just slightly hurt less . I couldn’t eat , drink or even sleep . I cried so much due to the pain , it was overwhelming to say the least . Googling for hours , reading the same stuff over and over again . I’ve tried everything for at home remedies you could imagine . surprise surprise , nothing worked . Only seconds of SLIGHT relief then back to the agonizing pain . Last night I came across this video on YouTube that I’ve never seen before . I learned about this product and thought F it , why not . So this morning I ran down to Walgreens the second it opened and purchased it for $8.04 (cheaper other places but Walgreens was the closest to me) . Upon getting home , I rushed to the bathroom with high hopes , I used this product exactly as directed on the packaging . Red Cross Instant Pain Relief Toothache Medication really does provide immediate relief to painful teeth ! Its formulated with natural Eugenol Oil (i.e., clove oil) , this medication was able to stop the tooth pain I had as soon as I used it . Now , I still have a slight pain in the tooth closer the the nerve ending but it’s at least was more tolerable than it was . you have to use a small tweezers to soak a tiny cotton pellet in the oil , squeeze out the excess , and then apply the saturated pellet to your tooth . Even though this step can be a little tricky to do , the fact that the product worked within minutes when applied according to directions speaks for itself . As stated on the packaging , any soft tissue that you come in contact with will indeed burn like crazy but only for a few minutes . At this point I would take a slight burn on my lips if it meant the pain would stop . The smell and taste actually isn’t that horrible to me , but the medicine did cause me to spit A LOT , like Oragel does . I feel like I’m spitting the product out because little by little the pain is returning . I will definitely be keeping this in my medicine cabinet from now on though , it does come handy in a pinch .jess lynn.j

My little jack Russell had the WORST breathe in the morning and then it was not as bad as the day went on. My dog looks forward to taking it. I have a 2 year old miniature poodle who does not have a lot of tartar or build-up but I want to stay ahead of him getting it. Since he doesn't like any sprays in or near his mouth, I just sprayed some on my index finger and rub it on his teeth. I am only doing this once every week or two. I have 2 dogs that are 5 years old and their breath were really bad and vet recommended a cleaning and i tried this product on our pets and the first day i noticed their breath didn't smell that bad and the teeth were getting a little whiter after a week. Also it was annoying when both dogs were constantly making funny noises with their tongue and i think it is because they had cotton dry yukky mouth and not using this product daily sometimes 2 times a day they have stopped. This is extremely overpriced, the toothpaste is a sample size and the toothbrush is simple lightweight plastic. There is no reason this product needs to cost $12.99, Its not that special. A full sized tube of toothpaste and two toothbrushes would make the price point worth it. I brushed my dogs teeth with it and it was ok. This stuff is amazing!! Absolutely love it and it does a wonderful job at keeping my babies teeth clean without having to brush. I rarely give products 5 stars but this definitely deserves it! I have been using this on my does teeth on and off for a few months now, lately because of the results I noticed I am trying to be more consistent. I either just rub the gel on my teeth with my finger or when I have more time I brush his teeth which has been giving the best results with the gel. I bought wisps and took out the beads and use them as little toothbrush’s, they work amazing, since my dog has such a small mouth (Chihuahua). Where I noticed the major results was his back teeth, they were really starting to build up with a lot of plaque, very dark yellow. They are almost white right now!!! Every animal owner should be using this product! I wish I had known about this years ago before my poor baby had to have a bunch of teeth pulled. Highly highly recommend. We use this for our cat. She is older, and has bad teeth. Her breath was getting pretty bad. We have to brush her teeth periodically. My dog is a really healthy 3 year old, except her teeth have always been yellow and plaque ridden and her breath bad. The first time I used this paste, I was getting blood from her gums everywhere I brushed. The second time I used it, I could tell where I had missed a spot previously because those were the only spots that still bled. After a week of use her teeth were very much whiter and no more bleeding. Fast forward a month of no brushing and her teeth are still white and no bleeding when I finally got around to brushing again. They call it enzymatic – I think it inoculated her mouth against bacteria. She loves the taste of it too – I have to keep her from licking it all off the brush right away so I can get her teeth, but when I'm done I load up the big brush side and let her lick it clean since brushing her tongue fixes her breath. Speaking of the brush, I wish they had made the small side a slim rectangle like a small normal toothbrush, the triangle shape is wide and hard to get to the deeper molars with her battling to bite and lick it. The big side is only good for the aforementioned licking, it's probably too big for all but the largest dog mouths. Unlike regular toothpaste, you have to diligently clean this stuff off the brush. It's not as soluble in water as regular paste and will get moldy if left out of the tube. It's pretty easy to use, your dog will probably like the flavor and after a few sessions get more comfortable with the brush going in their mouths. Don't expect to get all the teeth at once, just do short daily sessions at first and let the enzymes do the work. At this point I really just brush weekly or as needed for bad breath/yellow teeth. It’s nice if this kid comes with everything that you need to brush your down his teeth: the brush the paste, and the little finger tip thing. I would recommend letting the dog lick some from the fingertip thing first before trying to brush. This allows them to get used to the taste which makes brushing super easy.traci.l

If you want to jeopardize your dog having seizures and kidney failure then use this product. Our 15 year old Dachshund drank this for a month and starting having seizures, muscle weakness, not eating, and the beginning stages of kidney failure. Our dog has suffered from stinky breath forever even though she gets her regular vet cleanings, and we were using another tooth treatment. She’s a beagle / shitzu / pug mix, so she is already genetically doomed in the tooth area anyway, so I’ve always been concerned with her dental health and worried about it leading to other health issues. When I saw this, I was skeptical she wouldn’t notice it in her water. With that beagle nose, she sniffs out even the best tricks I try to pull, but she hasn’t noticed it yet, and the vet recently commented on how amazing we are doing with her teeth. I told her it is simply a matter of adding a cap full of the solution to her water every morning (I keep it by the sink since the bottle is small enough and doesn’t stick out, so I don’t forget.) and trust it is doing its thing. She told us to keep doing what we are doing and said she would check it out. So I have some reservations about this product. If you search other reviews across the internet, you get insane reports about this potentially causing seizures /epileptic episodes, wasting away, eye problems, all kinds of crazy stuff. However, it also does have a fair amount of people preaching that it's legit. The potential side effects are SEVERE, and it doesn't seem like the brand has done much to mitigate those cases or fears?? Knowing all that, I chose to use this for my cat with extreme caution. He gets stinky breath from whenever he eats fish based products (extreme common for cats) but the reason why I'm willing to take any of those risks is because it honestly reminds me of Accutane. I've never had to use Accutane myself, but I know that 1) It's a last resort 2) It is practically guaranteed to work 3) Side effects range from IBS to infertility /severe birth defects. So… my cat's halitosis isn't that severe to illicit the full dose. I use roughly half to a third of the recommended amount in his water fountain (which I highly recommend getting if you don't have one). So at a very low dose, his bad breath has indeed been kept at bay and I monitor his status very closely. This product works, I just strongly recommend using the lowest effective dose (just like with any human medication) and if your pet's breath is so dang stanky you feel like they need the full dose, I highly recommend exhausting all your other options first / supplementing with proper hand toothbrushing / diet changes. My Vet recommended this for our senior dog. She was diagnosed with a heart issue last year and our vet is hesitant to do the anesthesia necessary for teeth cleaning unless we absolutely have to. We started using this on her twice a day. I spray some on a small gauze pad and wipe around her teeth. Her teeth look better and it has definitely improved her breath. First did the Total Detox program and both cats seemed to pick up some energy. I was told by my Vet, that my Main Coon due to his liver panels, that he might have liver cancer. I have used this among several other products from this company for my older cat and new kitten. This is well tolerated by my 15 yo female tabby, she is a cranky older lady that never had dental procedures until three months ago. She had her first anesthetic dental that she did well with but I never want to put her through that again. Applying these drops daily her breath remains clear and she has gotten used to me sticking my fingers in her mouth with this. I have tried tooth brush training but it's too much. With the kitten, tooth brush is also too much and she tolerates these drops perfectly fine. They wriggle and squirm but I use my thumb and 3rd finger alternating sides with plenty of reassurance and we get through it without anyone getting upset. They seem to understand that it's safe. It's worth it to keep things going smoothly with their dental health and avoid future suffering on everyone's part!Joelle

So my little yorkie had an abscess tooth and she was in a lot of pain. My vet gave her an antibiotic and pain meds and wanted to go in and clean her teeth and see what was going on. My dog is diabetic and having him under general anesthesia for dental cleaning is very risky. I have been using Petsilver dental spray for almost 2 yrs with my 12 yr old bichion frise and it helps in plaque buildup. Dont expect that your dogs teeth to look like after theyve had a vet do dental cleaning. I recommend it for senior dogs with serious health issues and having them under anesthesia to be risky.Lina

This is great for cleaning up plaque from both my cat and dogs mouth after meals. However, I only gave it 4 stars because it tastes and smells strongly of mint. This isn’t something my pets are used too and if I had designed the product, I would have made it taste like nothing. Why nothing? Because it doesn’t smell like mint, so it’s not repulsive to pets, and nothing because it’s a medicine and you don’t want it tasting like or smelling like treats for safety reasons.Jennifer M

I bought this rinse to compare to another for my cat who got a cut on his gums. Although I'm sure it would be quite effective at helping with healing and disinfection, I found the tip rather unwieldy. The tip is rather large for fitting under a cat lip (although it might not be for a medium to large dog), and if your pet does not stay still, it is easy to accidentally squeeze the bottle too hard resulting in too large a quantity being squirted into your pet's mouth, which just increases the likelihood that your pet will not cooperate. It would probably work better if you have someone to help hold your pet, but on the plus side, it smells good.wildequusheart

Maybe this works for other cats, but my cat – who doesn't have a picky palette at all, for the record – sniffed this and completely avoided it. I tried exposing him to it over the course of a week or so, putting a little dab on his favorite treats just to see if he'd go for that. He did, very begrudgingly. Today, I tricked him a little and got him to actually lick a dab of it, and he seemed absolutely disgusted and put off… Honestly it was sort of funny. I’ve never seen my dog have a physical reaction to anything like he did to the smell of this toothpaste. It’s like he was offended that I even offered it to him. With lots of praise and a little coercion he eventually let me brush he teeth a little bit. The smell is kind of off putting. I’ve smelled better pet tooth paste that was more appealing to pets. However, my cat is willing to let me brush his teeth with some bribery. I’ve used my finger like it says for first time brushers, (it came with a tooth brush and finger cap) and noticed i could feel some of the plague coming off his teeth as I was brushing. He doesn’t drool as much anymore either so this is really helping. The finger cap it came with is a bit big for a cats mouth so id prefer my finger over it. The flavour I got was tuna, but it doesn’t really smell like that. Im seeing major results, despite the off putting smell.buffy.g
