We took our cat to the vet after he woke me up in the early morning howling in pain trying to urinate in the litter box. We discovered he had a UTI and his bladder was very inflamed and full of struvite stones. After a round of antibiotics and other meds to relax his urethra and dissolve the stones, along with new prescription diet food, I started researching other ongoing preventative maintenance options. An overnight stay at the vet and a midnight run to the emergency vet for fear of stones or crystals for our cat who was diagnosed with FLUTD since he was a kitten, and being told each visit that it was just chronic inflammation (a frustrating but common side effect of FLUTD) and there wasnt much the vets could do other than pain meds and anti inflammatories. Needless to say we were ready to try some additional preventative care and heard good things about this product. Its been 2 months now of adding the tonic to our cat's prescription wet food and so far so good. He doesn't notice or seem to mind the taste, no adverse effects of adding the recommended dose to his diet and best of all hes been happy and healthy. Seems to really help. It doesn't take much, either. I only give my cats 3 drops per day, and that seems to be enough to keep things flowing the way they should. One of my males had a problem when I introduced a new cat into the household, he wasn't stopped up, but did start holding it in and that caused inflammation. After a vet visit and meds from the vet to help him through the initial problems, this has helped keep him from holding it in again. It won't work miracles, if a cat, especially a boy, doesn't urinate for a period of 24 – 48 hours, take him in to the vet to make sure there's no blockage since that can very quickly become life-threatening, but this is good for maintaining things in working order.ageek33k

I've been taking care of homeless cats and trying to find them forever homes for around 8 years. A lot of the babies have gotten eye infections. I have four dogs, the most recent being a Saint Bernard. While I knew floppy eared dogs had more of a risk of ear infections, I didn't really think a Saint Bernard's ears were that floppy. Well after two ear infections that I went to the veterinarian for meds, I talked to a longtime Saint Bernard owner who said they keep their own personal supply of ear meds on hand. So I started searching…I read nothing but great reviews about this product, so I purchased. Once it arrived, conveniently my Saint Bernard had started to develop that ear funk smell and redness. Same story as others with constant vet trips and put on meds for ear infection only to go back a month later for the same thing. My cat has had a chronic ear issue for the past year or so, has developed acute swelling in his face and most recently suddenly developed a large lump under the affected ear. He has been treated by the vet w/ various meds and is on Prednisone. Everything tried has only worked temporarily and his ear and sinus infections have become chronic. He is 15 and the vet doesn't give hm much chance at improving. He has had various allergy issues most of his life. Regular ear cleanings by the vet seemed to improve his condition, so when I found out about Zymox I decided to give it a try. Well, after 7 days of treatment, the lump has all but disappeared and his sinuses are finally draining, reducing the swelling in his face ! I chose Zymox Hydrocortisone free because of all the meds he's been bombarded with, will treat him for 14 days to see where this takes us, but am VERY optimistic ! The vet is impressed and since he knows about Zymox, am disappointed he didn't recommend it sooner. The only problem now is he had gone off his food and I have been finger feeding him as well as spritzing water into his mouth. He had lost 2lbs from refusing food, but seems to be bouncing back. My dachshund lab mix ( weird I know) started having seizures every 4 weeks or so. They got worse as time went on ( he is almost 3), the vet prescribed seizure medication which he'd have to take " for life" but after reading on it I saw very bad things about the dogs quality of life. After researching I decided to try this first I figured what could it hurt. I give to him in the morning ( 4 drops.. hes 35 pounds) normally between two pieces of cheese because he doesn't like the taste, and 3 drops at night. I bought this a few weeks ago and I used it to treat my 2 aquatic turtles that I had for 12 years that started to gain shell rot recently. My turtle Angel has it worse than my second turtle Spaz, I tried using this product daily with water changes for a week and I haven't seen any improvement. I wasn't sure if it was working and that it would take awhile to kick in or this just doesn't help with shell rot at all. The shell rot that my turtles have are kinda getting worse day by day, I bought this product again to see if it will hopefully make a difference but Idek.Pinkahol
