I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. No its like everything else I have tried does not work I can't even get my cats to get it down. When I first got it I let my cat smell it and he literally gagged (should have stopped there)?then I put it in a syringe and gave it to him and he threw up right after I gave it to him. My 20 y.o. senior cat has had upper respiratory issues since he was 1 year old, but had gotten so chronic and so bad that he has literally had a stuffy nose and sneezing for an entire year straight. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. It loosens the gunk so you can wipe it out but doesn't get rid of it at it's source, which is the whole point. There's new dark brown gunk still being made down in her ears daily. I rescued a dog. He had bad ear mites, took care of those with mineral oil. Took him to a vet and for the same old make money bit, he had an ear infection. So, he got antibiotics orally. Then he kept showing signs of pain, itching etc..,but the smell let me know from his ears he had a bad yeast infection. Being a nurse I tried several home remedies to no avail. I looked around online for something non prescription and not expensive that would have something to kill yeast. Dr. Gold's has ketoconazale. I've used almost one bottle now, his ears are clean of the brown / black discharge. He's feeling better 100% now and I am thankful for this stuff! Saves me a lot, no return to the vet. I used to spend so much $ taking my dogs to the vets for ear infections, because every time they got a bath they would end up with water in your ears and get an ear infection and of course the vet would make me come in to get an antibiotic! So you pay an office visit and then you pay for the antibiotic and a test to see what the problem is very expensive! I use this every time I bathe my pet and ever since I started using it I've never had to deal with an ear infection again! I have had two Maltese and 1 Bichon poo and any dog that their ears hang down if you don't get them dry enough you will almost certainly get ear infections! I took in a stray and the vet diagnosed her with sarcoptic mange after a scrape test. Sarcoptic mange is very contagious between dogs (and even humans can get it) so we immediately put her on nexguard to take care of the infestation. Still, nexguard takes some time to work and in the meantime she would not stop scratching and biting. I purchased this and applied it to her skin and within an hour or two the scratching eased immensely. You can see the relief on her face, and she can actually nap now. If you’re familiar with the ingredients, you know to expect a greasy feel and a strong smell. I have used Happy Jack flea dip for years. I was a dog breeder and when fleas hit, you need to get rid of them ASAP. Otherwise, your house becomes quickly infested. This dip, when used as directed, kills any fleas on the dog at an instant. It is the only dip I used. After reading an article that stated that that Keem oil stopped feeding from Japanese Beetles, I purchased 2 bottles. It had NO effect on my nemesis, beetles destroying my rose blossoms. Keem oil also has a somewhat noxious odor, again defeating the purpose of having fragrant roses. I did use it on fungus on my squash plant leaves and it had a reasonably positive effect. My cat was a rescue and will eat nonstop if allowed. When we feed her, she eats aggressively and then throws up about 10-20 minutes later. We tried everything to stop this: crushing her food, soaking it in water, soft foods, smaller portions more often, & different types brands over the past 2 years, but nothing worked. I’ve tried everything to battle fleas, Seresto, frontline, advantage, capstar, other organics and none have worked. We do not use pesticides or many chemicals in our home and I decided that I was no longer going to put them in our pets as they weren’t working anyway. After a week my takeaway is Cedarcide smells amazing! It works at least as good as the Seresto collar my dog was wearing. Although I’m still combing a few fleas out of cats and dog everyday Their skin is far less irritated. My dogs fur feels soft and is shinier than ever. Cats will not tolerate Cedarcide on them at all, too much aroma.
