I've been using Tomlyn Hairball remedy (laxitone) for the last 6 months. It works like a champ and my cat loves the Tuna favor (it's like "Kitty Cat Crack"). My cat's 14 and his molars are going bad. The vet recommended Tomlyn Nutri-cal for a nutrition supplement and weight gain to replace his kibble. So I bought a tube. Unfortunately, all I could find was the Malt flavor. Even more unfortunate, the cat won't get near it. It's like a cross to a vampire. I've tried a few different ways to get him to try it but it aint happenin. So, I have to leave a single star rating – for MY cat. Who knows, maybe yours will like it. Just don't be surprised if it runs away. As far as my recommendation goes, I can only choose yes or no. This got the greyhound to eating after a bout of canine flu. She had lost so much weight and was very weak from not eating. She is typically an iffy eater. If she over heats (which is almost every day in triple digit NM summers) she stops eating. If she goes two days without eating, she is reluctant to eat even if she feels okay. We have discovered that the right dose for her (@35lb) is to place a finger over the open top of the bottle and tip the bottle over and back upright. The amount remaining on the end of the finger is then rubbed on her lips so she can lick it off. Once is usually enough, sometimes a second similar "dose" is needed. This keeps her from throwing it up and/or foaming. Usually within the hour she will start back eating. If not, she gets a second dose.Galgo Owner
My almost 14 yr old Siberian with liver cancer did not want to eat. I seriously considered euthanasia if this Rx didn't come pretty quickly. I DID want to at least try it! This is the only thing that will get our dog to eat non-human food. We tried close to 20 different types of food including me cooking at home and she rejected them all. Don't know how she survived on the streets before we got her but this helped her go up to a normal body weight and now we don't have to sit in front of her food and beg her to eat anymore. This is a life changing product for dog owners. I have two Lab/ Boxer mix puppies. A one year old female, Lab/ Boxer/ Carolina dog, and a 10 week old Lab/ Boxer/ Husky male. My dog ate this willingly only twice. I've even dipped it meat juice & he will not eat it. If I crush it in his food he rejects the whole bowl. He is not picky at all. so these must taste pretty bad. This is an excellent product with the best ingredients to heal (not just treat) intestinal lining problems. My girl has a bad case of IBS and was constantly crying and in horrible pain even after I put her on an organic home made diet. I bought the power version and for 3 weeks I mixed it in with her wet food as directed and did NOT do anything. Her 24×7 pain was excruciating for her and for me so I did not give up. After doing a lot of research, I realized that similar 'human' products for the same problems suppose to be given 30 minutes before meals. So, I diluted it in water and added a bit of sweat potato (for taste) and gave it to her, 30 minutes before her food, and IT WORKED! Like a miracle her pain was gone. For the first time after 3 months she was able to sleep peacefully. She is 11 lb so I give her 1/8 tsp of the powder and ¼ tsp of sweat potato (for taste) diluted in 1-2 tablespoons of water, 20 minutes before her meals, 3 times per day. I also give her probiotics, digestive enzymes, DGL(Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice), and Seacure (contains L-glutamine which repairs the mucosal lining) all mix with her food and I am happy to said she is no longer in any pain and on her way to full recovery! Just remember if you get the power version dilute it in water first (you don't have to do that with the liquid version) AND please give it 20 minutes BEFORE meals if your dog is in bad shape like mine.Loving pet owner

My Bichon has inflammatory bowel disease which has caused loose stools sometimes with blood. I tried changing her food, but she still had bouts of it. I've been using Tomlyn Hairball remedy (laxitone) for the last 6 months. It works like a champ and my cat loves the Tuna favor (it's like "Kitty Cat Crack"). My cat's 14 and his molars are going bad. The vet recommended Tomlyn Nutri-cal for a nutrition supplement and weight gain to replace his kibble. So I bought a tube. Unfortunately, all I could find was the Malt flavor. Even more unfortunate, the cat won't get near it. It's like a cross to a vampire. I've tried a few different ways to get him to try it but it aint happenin. So, I have to leave a single star rating – for MY cat. Who knows, maybe yours will like it. Just don't be surprised if it runs away. As far as my recommendation goes, I can only choose yes or no. I have three dogs and 1 is super picky with everything and this seems to do the trick. My golden retriever/corgi mix is one picky eater with anything and everything lol. This product has an irresistible taste that all pets will love! During different times when my dog gets other bites of food that he is not supposed to have, and he has mushy stools or diarrhea, I add a full packet of Advita Probiotic to his dish once a day (just add a little filtered water until it dissolves) until his stools are normal again usually 1-2 days. Also works good if he is going to the Vet or grooming, because it helps with irregularity when he's under more stress. Prior to giving him this probiotic he had mushy diarrhea all of the time. There is some in his food "Natural Balance-Synergy", but this has helped even more. Once he had eaten a large amount of grass and his little tummy was very upset and you could actually hear the loud grumbling, so I gave him Advita for 7-days and he pooped it all out and was fine. I've been using this with my 15 year old cat who has asthma and coughing fits. This has definitely made his immune system stronger. More energy,less sleeping. I also give him holistic medicine to address upper respiratory issues, sinus and congestion. So far I've been giving him one dose a day, as we're going into Winter I'll increase it to 2x a day. My pug mix started getting these huge wart growths on his lips and tongue. I was alarmed, but read that dogs get warts when they have a weakened immune system.
