My dog had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics he was on after having a few teeth pulled. The itch was driving him crazy. Sorry not a review but a question. Sounds like this works well but I have a horrible time keeping my Shepard from licking his wounds. Even when I cover them he trys to get the bandage off to get at them. It says this provides some pain relief, so I'm hoping that will discourage the licking. We took our Newfie/Lab to the vet to get vaccinated for a training class. Shortly after his shots, he developed a skin allergy with two hot spots on each hip. Here in the Las Vegas desert my dog licks his paws constantly because it’s so dry. I figured I would try out this product to see how it works and it works like a charm. We have been using TB for over 3 years! It does an amazing job on stubborn thrush or nips it in the bud. We use it daily or every other day to seal cracks and protect the hoof from bacteria (it is a barrier ) Our horse had WLD. I know this is an old school product and the small bottle goes a long way. I love this. All you have to do is make sure the hoof crack is clean and make sure there is a opening. Use the pick to pack with a piece of cotton. Then add this to the insert you made. Make sure you use enough to see it run down the out side also so, you know you got the toes. Wait a day and re do. I use it in the sole once a week for precaution in mud season. it's stains and is messy but, They dye is so you know you reached the toes. I put a rag on the floor for each hoof and he does put his hoof on it after we are done. Small bottle goes a long way. Follow up with Gold Bond Powder twice a week. I only use this if it smells or I get black when hoof cleaning. Works awesome on thrush. Thrush use the cotton way daily until the sole closes.Donna
Works well but can stain your hands purple so be careful when applying it. I usually start at the back of the collateral grooves and central sulcus and let it run down using gravity. I bought the P.H. travel set to see if this would help my highly allergic, health challenged Scottish Terrier. (I've tried so many things, prescription and non prescription) Shes constantly on antibiotics for the sores that crop up all over her body and stomach from allergies. Recieved a 3oz bottle of Vetericyn Plus Hotspot Antimicrobial Hydrogel for free in exchange for an honest review. I have to say, this stuff is amazing! My lab/beagle mix suffers from skin allergies, and the poor thing will scratch and chew herself until she bleeds, so I was very eager to try this product. The day I received it, I rubbed down her belly with it (this is where she itches the most) and it seemed like she felt instant relief. My poor pupper got irritated paws from horrible ginko berries smashed all over the fall ground and then made them worse by licking. They were so red and I felt so bad. This product is on the shelf next to a dozen others that claim to do the same thing, but I didn't get to it until three others didn't get the job done. This showed visible improvement within a day. Bonus that he didn't lick it off – before I tried this I would combo an antimicrobial with one of those "bitter taste dogs hate" sprays, but my dog is weird and loved those things and would lick them like crazy. I'd have to wrap his paws and watch him like a hawk. Not so with this! He stays away from it so it can work…bonus points bc spray plus consistency is easy application. I have a 4-Years old purebred Keeshond (Precious Assal). Unfortunately Assal has seasonal allergy. I use to give him Cetirizine HCL 10 mg per his vet recommendation. Newly adopted very stressed pup. I purchased three Thunder items, one of which was a bottle of the Calming Chews. Tried the Chews several times over the course of a week and a half in different situations. Sorry but found each time that there was no change in my dog's reactivity level – and on one occasion the Chew seemed to make him more stressed.
