Amazing amazing food! My dog cannot wait to eat this. Yes, its quite messy and hard to portion out, but it's the healthiest option and (at least judging from my dog's reactions) the tastiest option. I would say that if you have a large or extra large dog, you should be prepared to spend a lot more on monthly dog food than if you bought a kibble. My dog runs through a 10 lb box in about 2 weeks, so we buy him this and a kibble and alternate for his daily meals. If you have a picky dog, then you know that it is a struggle to get them to eat. My dog eats the kibble parts with food topper and leaves the rest untouched, but with this – since it's more like a soup than a mash, he has no problem eating it. It is quite stinky, but that's actually a good thing because you know (and you can smell) the quality. I suggest trying their baked kibble version of their recipes as well – they make great toppers (i wouldnt suggest buying them as meals for large dogs – it wont last very long unless you have a small dog) and great little snacks as well. The recipes (esp the fish) are great for skin problems and allergies. The sustainably and honestly sourced ingredients add some comfort as well. I 10/10 recommend if you don't mind shelling out a bit more money for the qualitynia.g

My dogs absolutely love this stuff! I have 2 dogs, aged 10 and 14. They're still very energetic and they really look forward to food time now. This works very well with my oldest because she had some teeth pulled and I used to have to put some water in her kibble and let it soak for a while, but this food eliminates that need, and its much higher quality than her previous kibble. I'm very glad I tried this food. I originally thought it would be too much work, too sloppy, and/or just too gimmicky. I was absolutely wrong! first let me say, my dog LOVES honest kitchen. The type of stoked he gets for breakfast and dinner on this food is so strong friends even comment on it. He's been on HK food for 4 years and sadly, this flavor was a hard pass for him. It seemed tougher on his stomach and had a really pungent flavor. Hello, My sweet golden Cocker Spaniel Maggie just turned 12 yesterday, she has a mast cell tumor on the outside on her earflap. We cannot operate because of her age and heart condition, a slight murmur. , its a medium to large tumor, and is ulcerated puss and bleeding. I love her very much so I am doing a lot of researching in various ways to shrink the tumor, and what I found was this dog food, I have always done alot of research to make sure Maggie is getting the very best food, I have always baked her chicken in the oven, I have always used other very good Dry Dog foods but after research and feed back from the other dog food companies realized most of these foods have high amounts of carbohydrates that are very bad for dogs with cancer until I found this food that is so recommended from several sources, to be the best, and I believe it is also. Maggie transitioned very well in 3 days, and she loves it. I can see a difference in her attitude and her poo, I would recommend this clean healthy food to everyone with a dog. My dogs love this food so much. My one dog has bad allergies so I took her off kibble altogether to try to help with her overall allergies as she has environmental ones. Some of the ingredients in kibble can increase her body's response to those environmental ones as she has some food sensitivities as well. So far this Beef and Lamb seems to be helping and she loves it. My other pup has been on raw and I added this in as a healthy alternative. He loves it so much and in my opinion the quality is just as good as raw with less worry about contamination. They almost knock me over for this food – it's insane – they love it. I'm glad this doesn't contain chicken so they both can enjoy it! I hope FP comes out with a product in this consistency that is just fish protein as another alternative in the future. I started my girls on this a week ago and it has been great for my girls. I didn't really want a raw diet but I wanted a nutritious diet for my dogs. I had to buy this formula of fresh pet this time because they were out of the ones I normally buy for my dog. I usually buy the tubes (bison, chicken or turkey). My dog did not like this formula as well. I was able to get the small tubes of chicken so I am putting a little chicken in with the beef to get her to eat it. Our store in Soldotna AK is supposed to get a shipment every Wednesday. We haven’t had a shipment in two weeks. I bought all of the small chicken rolls that they had. Found this and tried it out and my pet loves it. he is a little puppy but I think giving him fresh food is better than the regular dog food, (do not care what brand it is) only because they are out there to make money not spend money so they might say it has no this or that but I'm sure somewhere along the lines it has something not good for them of fillers. my only concern with this product that I have been noticing is that I bought this today (may 28, 2021) and yet the expiration date isn't until September 9, 2021…that's not saying when it was made and how long it has been on the shelf waiting to be purchased. if it is really fresh it would not lest more than a month at that. so makes me think it is full of preservatives. Love it! Smells fresh and delicious! My new working line shepherd puppy LOVES it. It's worlds healthier than dry, processed, non-nutritious kibble. The only drawback is that it's a bit pricey. Healthy eating will equal a healthy immune system tho, so we won't be spending tons of money on de-wormers, flea and tick preventative, and other health related products which are extremely expensive and unhealthy for pets. I like your product but you need to adjust packaging for small dogs. I only have one Shih Tzu/Yorky. I can never get through a whole bag in 10 days. It’s far too many. It’s very wasteful. I’ve also tried dog joy… Whether it’s the bacon or the chicken snacks there is far too many unless that’s the only thing I’m ever feeding him. My only complaint with these is they are kinda big for my Yorkie I have to cut them into small pieces to feed her them but they are very soft and she seems to love them every time I give them to her. My “in-law” came over and saw I had a huge stack of 2 pound honest kitchen beef & honest kitchen turkey dehydrated boxes taking up what most “normal” house-holds would use as a “liquor cabinet.” Why? We recently adopted a new puppy. Up until this point I have never met a dog who didn't enjoy their food to the point of inhaling it. This puppy threw me for a curve when she would refuse food or not finish her food. We decided to try Freshpet and she LOVES it. We mixed it with her old brand and she would just eat the Freshpet leaving the kibble behind. She enjoys eating now and runs to her kennel when it is time to eat. She has not had any upset stomach due to the transition either. Working in the pet industry I have researched alot of pet foods and we are very pleased with this food. I have a shih tzu and he loves his food. He refuses to eat anything else. My grandma would mix dry food in it and he would just eat around it. Because of his size and breed he ends up have problems with his hind legs and I feel like this food improves his strength. He is more playful and happy with his food. I usually make our lil guy’s food but didn’t have the time to do so this week. We chose to give the “frozen, ready to use, version of the DIY chicken and rice kit that I use. I divided it into 6oz baggies to use (I use a kitchen scale for 100% accuracy), and I only got 10 baggies out of the 72 oz bag, leaving me extremely short (12 ozs to be exact). I won’t use this again as it’s not cost efficient with 12 ounces of water. As for taste, my dog couldn’t tell the difference between what I make and the JFFD frozen recipe. 3-4 months ago new packaging has been used for the 72oz size and it seems that the net weight is now including food and water weight. The old packaging did not have so much water in it as it does now. There was actually 72oz of solid food in it. There is an excessive amount of water in the new 72oz packages. From what I measured, there is now only 56 oz of solid dog food. I've been buying this dog food for a year and the reason why I am bothered by this change. Besides the water content, the new packaging is not waterproof. The seal breaks at some point because of the poor design of the new packaging. There is food, the plastic seal, and then 2-3 inches of extra plastic that is not filled with food. So if you thaw the food in a bowl of cold water, that cold water seeps into the package…I have to put the package in a 1 gallon plastic bag and then in the bowl of cold water. It is a big inconvenience to have to drain the dog food every time I need it. Before it was thaw and transfer to a container. The amount of water in the package was never noticeable and was just the right amount to keep the food moist. It was 98% just food… Now it is thaw, place dog food in strainer, wait 5 mins to drain out water, but not all of the water because then the food becomes very dry…then transfer into a container. I am now in search of a new brand. I am not confident that the amount of nutrients is consistent every time I drain the food…not sure if it is being washed away from draining it. I bought this yesterday at RK. Soaked according to directions,after a hour soaking very hard look like organ meat so hard couldn't even hardly cut with sharp knife. Added more water soaking now for 2 hours. I just put in fridge, and see if soft enough to feed my senior dog in the morning. Hard pieces size of a quarter. I will never buy again. I didn't mind the price if this hadn't happened. But this hard piecy are large enought to get stuck in her throat. If I can't cut it up with a sharp knife , how is she suppose to chew it.
