Dog Uti Treatment Petco For Sale (2024 Update)

I'm a big fan of the NaturVet brand, my dog has an allergy to chicken so I LOVE that I don't have to worry about chicken flavoring in this brand. I was searching the web for something that would help my dog during heat season, she will beg to go out way more often then normal but then doesn't have to potty. I found these and starting giving them to her wondering if the underlying problem was a UTI, since we started using these she doesn't have any issues! She gobbles them up no problem (and she is overly picky). I now buy these on a regular basis for 'maintenance' and she really enjoys them as her morning treat! For starters: I purchased the LifeGold, Old Friend, DetoxGold, and Spark. My little girl is 13 years young. About a month ago my baby girl Littles was told she had to be taken home and put on “Hospice”. They didn’t even run any biopsy tests; just charged me hundreds of dollars for some blood work (that came back good) & anti inflammatory medication that she doesn’t even need. My cat is only 2 and a half and he has been suffering from urinary tract infections/crystals for the past year, which is not as common for male cats. I have been so hesitant to take him to the vet because he is super sensitive and timid, and yet he goes through episodes of having trouble urinating fully, and compulsively licking his nether parts. It seems he is triggered by stress and too much dry food. This last episode was very stressful for all of us, and I decided to remove the dry food altogether and switch him to a wet food diet and break out the Urinary Gold in earnest this time (we tried it before, it cleared things up and then we stopped giving it to him regularly). This is more convenient than sprinkling his food with some powder! Plus he views them as a treat! Same basic ingredients as similar kitty supplements for urinary issues…but I give him 1/2 at a time. At least 1/2 per day or 1/2 in AM/ 1/2 in PM. He hasn't had a urinary problem since he's been taking them! Which has been at least a year or more…. My female boxer who is going on two was having several accidents in the house!!! I thought it was odd behavior since she was housebroken already. I waited to write my review for this until after my male cat was seen again by the vet so here it goes if you are willing to read it all. I have 2 male cats and 1 of them was only 21 months old when he got completely blocked. I noticed he was acting differently, no energy and not eating at all – normally he eats great and is running around the house with lots of energy. It was about 8 pm and I was very worried so I took him into the emergency animal clinic.. they said his bladder was the size of a peach and hard. He had to stay over night and they had to give him an IV & catheters,etc. I picked him up in the morning and transferred him to the vet since the ER was closing. The vet called in the afternoon and wanted him back in the ER because he got blocked again after being flushed out! So he spent the next 3 days in the ER (thank goodness it was a weekend and they had 24 hr care). The vet recommended a special prescription diet which I put him on. When he got home he still was not right. He wasn't completely blocked but was barely urinating. He was on medication to control the inflamation due to the catheters. After 3 days home he started urinating on blankets and other soft items..whatever he could find. He had never done that before so I felt like he was just getting worse. Took him back to the vet for a 10 day checkup and they did a ultrasound and said his bladder looked like 'starry night' because of all the crystals and there was sludge present. She gave me more meds to help keep him comfortable to urinate and told me to come back for another ultrasound in 1 month. At that point, I knew he needed something else as well. I did all the research and found this product and read all the great reviews but was skeptical of course but hey – worth a shot I was desperate. After about 1 1/2 weeks I noticed he was doing much better and he stopped urinating outside of the litter box and after the full 3 weeks he seemed totally cured. I took him back to the vet right after the 3 weeks ended for another ultrasound and she said his bladder was pitch black (like it should be!!!) – no presence of sludge or crystals. I got in the car and cried with relieve! I want to also mention that he had no side effects from taking this. The 1st day I did just give a pinch instead of the full scoop to make sure he would eat it and not throw up or anything. He's not a picky eater but I mixed this well in his wet food and I also add water to the wet food because he just will not drink water from a plain bowl or even a fountain. I brought my dog to the vet for her wellness check-up. A urine anylsis revealed a high white blood cell count, indicative of an infection. She had no symptoms of a UTI. The vet offered three courses of action. (1) double up on probiotic, monitor for symptoms, re-check urine in 4 weeks. (2) a course of antibiotics (3) Perform cystocentesis, where a fine needle attached to a syringe is inserted into the bladder through the abdomen to obtain a sterile urine sample for culture. I doubled up on probiotic and went searching for holistic approach. Of course I was thinking about how cranberry is often a solution for UTIs in humans, so when I came upon this product, it made sense. After a three week course of Only Natural Pet Cranberry Welness, I returned to the vet with with a collected urine sample. The results were in the normal range on all counts! My vet was happy and so was I! I will continue to keep my pup on maintenance dose forever. There were no side effects. The cost was minimal and we avoided any further procedures. They really seem to help my dog! I started giving them when I noticed him being hesitant to go pee and holding it for a long time and ending up with an infection. He seems to do well on these. Just make sure to give them as per the instructions. Too much cranberry can irritate the bladder…in both pets and humans.Julie

Our Terrier/Poodle/Chihuahua Mix is 16 years old. She was having bladder control problems when she slept too long in one place. I found NaturVet Bladder Support at Wal-Mart and tried it. My cat has had repeated uti's involving emergency vet visits and a lot of stress. When the antibiotic wears off, the infection returns. I was at Petco on Sunday and saw this product and decided to buy it in case there was another infection. My cat had a crisis 2 days later with very extreme symptoms. I gave her 5 drops and noticed no change. So I did it again in 15 minutes and she began to calm down. Then she sat quietly for awhile and then went upstairs to sleep under my bed for the rest of the day. The next day she acted like nothing had happened. I was amazed! Time will tell if she will have more problems, but this is way better than dragging her crying to the vet, if I can even find a vet who will see her the same day. While I am not really one to normally write a review, I research other reviews diligently and thought it was time I started- especially to brag on this product and hopefully help someone else. Case: Mittens is a 3 year old female never with any previous UTI issues, Food: ate frisky crunchies and was happy, Fast forward to 2 months ago- she started with always being wet on her bottom. It kind of threw me off because I thought it could be a problem with her rear and not bladder, it progressed to constant going in litter box and barely having anything come out. Through this time 700. was spent at vet, ultrasounds, urinalysis' , lab testing, all showing nothing but antibiotics were administered as it was obvious something was wrong. The vet was insistent about stress thought I was skeptical as absolutely zero had changed in our household and buying the 50. food just was not an expense I was ready to do at that moment. The antibiotics has slight improvement but never fixed the issue. Mittens also has to be put under aneasthesia every time we go as she is very sweet, but not a good patient. During this time I was also an my witts end not wanting to put her thru another battery of testing and my house issue. In that I mean everywhere she went she would leave wet spots and a terrible smell which simply could not go on. So I went to do what you have done if you are here, online research and came across this product. I ordered it and went to bed as it was late and would be ready for pick up the next morning. I was hopeful and excited that this could be 'it'- a cure. So we picked it up and went to work. I followed dosing as directed for an acute condition as that is what we had. I had to administer via wet food because a syringe simply does not work with her. We did 10 drops every 15 minutes for the first hour and went on as directions said the whole time via food, 2nd day three times a day 10 drops each meal, and 3rd day back to initial dosing of 10 drops every 15 minutes for the first hour and 2 more times that day. I was not seeing the 'immediate result' some people had at that point. I will also say I was feeding her uti proplan wet food only during this time. We started Sunday morning and I did not notice relief until Tuesday evening- We were getting a stream of urine. I was so happy I could cry! Now we are at Thursday and we seem to be almost normal. Absoulutely AMAZING, have patience this stuff works! I am going to continue dosing twice a day and maybe even once a day for prevention going forward. I am also going to find some uti dry food, most likely Purina One uti to keep with prevention as that is my motivation going forward. Cannot be happier with the $6 price tag and the miracle inside. My cat is almost 7yrs of age and never before had any health issues until one day, I saw him spotting in the litter box. He would continuously go in and out, squirt a little urine without covering it, then lick his private area when he was done. This went on throughout the entire day for about two full days. Luckily I scoop his litter every morning so I was able to catch the issue right away. After day 2 of seeing him do this, in which he now had a funny walk and refused to eat or drink anything, I knew it was time to go to a vet. I went to one and spent a little over $250 on fees, an X-ray, and pain meds just for them to tell me that he’s a healthy cat and that they could not find anything wrong. Although, they did notice that his bladder was full as if he was holding it all day. They gave him fluids and emptied his bladder but wanted to push for another $125 just to draw his blood, in which I declined. Much to my frustration, I started googling my cat’s symptoms, and after speaking with my mom, we concluded that he maybe had a urinary tract infection. At that point, I searched for feline UTI meds on petco.com and was more than grateful to come across the review of Bergette75 whose cat had the same issue. I gave my cat this product right away. Followed the instructions on the box, and in just 2 days, his condition improved! I continued treatment for a full week just to be sure that the infection would clear. No its like everything else I have tried does not work I can't even get my cats to get it down. When I first got it I let my cat smell it and he literally gagged (should have stopped there)?then I put it in a syringe and gave it to him and he threw up right after I gave it to him. You know I just wish there were more products for cats that they would actually eat, drink, or like. There is certainly enough out there for dogs. My 3 year old Chocolate Lab has pH balancing problems so her vet(s) have recommended this specific dog food! She's been eating it since about January 2022. It smells GROSS 😂😂 but it has helped a lot. 4/5 stars for bad smell and because she now May 2022 her pH is off again and she's having a bladder infection with crystals. Our kitty has kidney and urinary issues. The vet wanted Cosequin added to his diet and offered capsules which are opened and sprinkled over the food. This doesn't work well since cats are finicky. I highly recommend this product. I’ve been using Zymox for years. My terrier mix has Ear Edge Dermatitis. It’s incurable and usually tears up the edges of the ear from constant cell overgrowth (auto immune) and dogs will be plagued with constant ear issues and itching. When I notice him itching, I put a few drops in ear and massage into ear canals, then rub into the edges of ears. Do this for a couple days, itching stops, ears are clean and have a healthy pink look. It’ll be several weeks before he starts itching again. I don’t worry about using the hydrocortizone or damage to skin (thickened skin) because it works for so long.Itlookscute

I had used this before, without success for my cocker spaniel. So, this was my 2nd attempt. It worked great in 1 ear, but not the other. I used it for 14 days, and on day 15, the infection was back in the one ear, but gone in the other. Product works great on certain infections, but not for others unfortunately. I've always liked Zymox products, but this one really impressed me! GSD/BC mix has had continual ear issues since having a hematoma drained in her right ear. The ear lays over and is full of thicker tissue which seems to hold in a ton of moisture. This last bout of pain and scratching was making her (and me!) absolutely crazy and, after a week of use, the regular Zymox I always have on hand just wasn't cutting it. I did a bit of searching and found the Zymox plus advanced formula and figured I'd give that a try before resorting to a vet visit, antibiotics, steroid drops, etc. After the second day of use, she stopped shaking her head, scratching and whining. After the fifth day, all the redness and drainage was gone. I stopped using it on after the seventh day and she has been great ever since. Highly recommend!cathleecollin_0
