I would really love to give this toy 5 stars for appearance and design but I’m taking off one for durability. Normally I stay away from anything that’s not a bone or hard rubber like a traditional KONG because my dogs are super chewers. They can destroy a Nylabone in 30 minutes. I bought this toy because KONG is notorious for their super durable products. My 60 pound Pitbull is bonkers over the Kong Squeeze Stick. It satisfies his need to chew on something and it’s very strong. The fact that it squeaks makes it all the more appealing for him since he loves making toys squeak himself. I do not think the packaging is the greatest it does not say what it is made of and after some googling I am not sure how safe the ingredients are for dogs but its made in USA and my dog has had no issues from it. I think these are better for dogs compared to Nylabone. My dog a cocker spaniel has bad anxiety and is a constant chewer only 2 years old. The size small is pretty decently sized. An they past pretty long too. I always buy about 4 that way they arent chewing on the same one and no matter the room shes in theres always a bone close to be found instead of something shes not suppose to have.Kris
My dog loves wood-tasting chew bones. These contain wood and are enticing and keeps the dog entertained. They don't wear down quickly. They're not as hard/tough on dog's teeth as antler bones. They don't splinter like some bones and don't come apart like rawhide. My dog chews only tiny pieces at a time; she basically gnaws on it rather than chews. She can take a rawhide apart in a few minutes, but these wood bones last a long time since she only gnaws on them. I like that they come in several sizes. The XS or S may be too small for small breeds, but my 9-lb. minpin chews the S or M size ones on her own. I liked that this chew toy was durable and had some weight to it, but my dog doesn’t play with the toy at all. I believe this is the toy he could not “destroy” and didn’t want anything to do with it. I was disappointed given how expensive it is, and that I thought it had a good warranty. But if you go to the website for the return that is guaranteed, you will find that you have to pay shipping to return it, and give the company a check for $7.50 for them to ship the new toy to you. I love this toy so much for my pups I bought a second one. I have 4 labs, 2 of them are puppies. My dog loves this toy. She hasn't stopped playing with it since I gave it to her. She loves to play fetch, so this is the perfect toy for her. It feels like a flexible rubbery material, so she hasn't been able to chew it apart, which is good. It is really neat how it glows in the dark. You can't tell from the photo, but my dog is never gentle with new toys. However, this one is holding up better than any other toy we've ever gotten. This is overall a perfect fetch toy, which I think you could never have enough of. Plus, the glow in the dark effect is really fun to try, but like most other glow in the dark products, the novelty runs out, and I don't ever bother "charging" them up again. All in all though, if you need or simply want another fetch toy, this is a fantastic choice that you can't go wrong with.

I buy chew bones for my 4 dogs on a fairly regular basis. A new one (nylabone usually) can usually last at least a couple of weeks before needing to be replaced. I gave one of these to one of my dogs last night, and she had a total of about 20 minutes chew time before she was biting chunks of it off. I’ve had this toy for about a week now and my 14 week old Golden Retriever pup has loved it since I brought it home. She chews it and squeaks it and loves to play fetch with it although it doesn’t really bounce or give at all when you throw it. I will say the smell is pretty bad. My dog, a 7lb cavapoo named Luna, and I were at my sisters when she found this toy at her house. Luna instantly loved it. Mom got her one for Luna to have at home and she just loves it. She knows her “stick bone” by name and uses it daily and usually for a good amount of time. Plus, the vet says Luna has amazing teeth especially for a small dog bc he said smaller dogs are prone to bad teeth. (And she hasn’t even had them cleaned) I totally recommend this bone!!
I just picked up a rescue last month and got this while browsing at the store and being reminded of my cousin's corgi who loves this stick and has gone through a few. I have three dogs who all love these Benebones (Lab, Golden Retriever, and Amstaf). They have Different flavors of these bones and my dogs love all of the flavors. The dentist has remarked about how clean their teeth are, which I think is in great part due to these Benebones. They have laundry basket full of toys and since these Benebones are heavier than most of their other toys, they usually settle toward the bottom of the basket. It is so funny to watch them digging through the other toys to get to their Benebones. Over several months, one knob on one of the Benebones was chewed down (little shreads at the time, not a harmful chunk), which meant I bought another round of Benebones for all of them. One of my dogs had to have surgery because she swallowed a chunk of a Kong toy, but even though she is a strong chewer (Bully breed) and can demolish most toys in 15 minutes or less, these Benebones last months before they need to be replaced. I watch their toys to make sure nothing starts coming apart that could necessitate another trip to doggie ER ($6,000 bill and 5 days in hospital). The price of the Benebones may seem a little high, but if you can avoid trip to doggie hospital for intestinal blockage and all the pain your dog would suffer, they are a good investment. It is cute to see each of three dogs grab one knob on a Benebone and pull in three different directions. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I gave our sweet pup the Benebone bone as soon as it arrived. It was the perfect size for her, she could carry it easily, and manipulate it as she chewed. I was very happy thinking I had found a great replacement for the deer antlers she loved to chew, but are very expensive to replace. It wasnt long, however, before her strong chewing had created hundreds of very sharp indentations all along the bone. She often will bring her chew toy to ya to help hold while she chews, but its impossible to hold it with all the sharp edges. She doesnt like it very much now, because Im sure it causes pain to her lips and tongue. Unfortunately, It will have to be discarded . Plastic just isnt right for our dog.gymmom56
Just arrived today and my 1 yr old lab/pitt mix showed immediate interest. I bought this so he could have an "indoor stick" because he keeps bringing in lots of sticks and leaving wood chips everywhere. My dog's more of a gnawer than a heavy chewer (except with wood. He chews wood like a professional wood chipping machine), but after less than 30 minutes he'd already worn down one end slightly (see picture). I think it's the material – it's really really hard and has no give, so it kinda just shaves pieces off instead. I was expecting more of a stretchy nylabone toy. I'm definitely going to have to keep an eye on him with this, but he definitely likes it!lprongs

For starters, it is VERY important to note there are 2 versions of this toy!!! One is a squeaky toy and the other is a crinkle toy. I originally purchased the squeaky version for my now 65 lb Shepard doodle mix and it drove us absolutely nuts!!! My dog likes to chomp continuously on squeaky toys so they repeatedly make noise and this is a loud one!! We had to leave it at "grandma's house" because we can only take it in small doses. We now have the crinkle version of this toy. Now when my pup repeatedly chomps, it is a soft crinkle noise that is loud enough to be heard, but not annoying. It still satisfies his need to chomp/chew. I forgot to mention my dog is a fierce chewer and often causes destruction on furniture. Both versions of this toy have lived up to the Kong durability and only suffer tooth marks (not ripped open of totally destroyed). My dog also loves to play hours of fetch with both versions of this toy. I recommend crinkle over squeaky version!!!!melanie .l
I would really love to give this toy 5 stars for appearance and design but I’m taking off one for durability. Normally I stay away from anything that’s not a bone or hard rubber like a traditional KONG because my dogs are super chewers. They can destroy a Nylabone in 30 minutes. I bought this toy because KONG is notorious for their super durable products. My dogs absolutely loved this toy but I had to take it away from them because it was coming apart in large chunks that I feared they might swallow. I bought this about a week ago for a teething 3mo doberman puppy. He quickly destroys just about anything in a day and looooves squeaky toys. Well, this toy has lasted 7x longer than any other. The only way you can tell it has been used it at the ends where it has frayed a little. He absolutely loves it and carries it with him everywhere! I definitely recommend this toy to dog owners.
