When the dog puts the ball in the top the ball just slowley comes out the front of the box. The mechanism does not push or fling the ball at any speed or disptance, effectifly the ball just trickled out the front. My dog got the concenpt straight away but he was quickly bored as there was no challenge and certainly know concent of playing 'Fetch'. My dog simply put the ball in the top and then picked it up as it slowly came out of the front, the dog didnt even have to move his feet. The box is very well made but in order for the box to be used as a 'Fetch' type mechanism the box needs toat least push or fling the ball.samanthalomax
It's not, nor meant to be, a ball launcher. You should be able to teach the dog that if they put the ball in the top it and a treat (most importantly) roll out of the bottom. Bought Two of these – One for each grand dog home. Shipped to family member where we have Xmas and “Pup Pup”, the resident parcel inspector and delivery announcer went bonkers when the ball was removed from the shipping box. I would recommend this toy for a smaller dog or one who is not a powerful chewer. I know this is not intended to be a chew toy, but realistically, if you have a medium or large dog, they usually have a tendency to chew any toy you put in front of them. I have an English Pointer mix who normally destroys any toy I give him unless I get it from BullyMake or BarkBox. Unfortunately, neither offer a toy that compares to this one in terms of entertainment for your dog. He absolutely loved this toy so it is a shame that he was able to bite chucks out of it within 20 minutes. I can't find the pieces that he took out of it so I'm waiting to see if he passes them. If not, it will be a visit to the vet. He was so sad when I took it away from him and looked at me with those sad brown eyes. I would love to have one of stronger material that he could play with and not have to worry. Unfortunately we lost one ball recently it was launched on the highest setting by accident and it went over the fence into the Main Street but luckily this came with 3 balls so she’s still out here running around and playing non stop. This is the perfect toy for any dog that loves to play fetch. The dog can even play by themselves. Once the ball is placed in the launcher it activates and shoots the ball out. (it automatically shuts off if not in use) Simply place it on the ground near you or where the dog can reach it. My dog caught on extremely quickly on how to return the ball to play again. There are 3 different distances you can set the launcher to 10ft, 20ft, and 30ft. (which is pretty accurate) if using the balls that come with the machine. (includes 3balls) The balls are the perfect size for my Yorkie measuring at aprox 2 inches wide. I found that it will also shoot any ball the same size, such as foam, or squeaky balls, but the distance differs. The machine can run via power cable that is included, or via 6 C batteries. The battery option is amazing for going to the park, and surprisingly lasts for hours. The only issues I have found is once the balls start to get dirty/wet they do not shoot out as well or as far. Also make sure the dog stays clear of the device and is not looking down the launcher to avoid injury. It would also be nice if it had an option to change it to manual. So you could load multiple in and shoot them out to be used for multiple dogs. All For Paws Interactive Automatic Ball Launcher is great product. It works just how described. The device is very well built and the concept is great. The hard part for me is training my puppy to use it. At first, my dog was afraid of the motor sound, it makes a bit of a whirring noise but after two days he got used to the sound. I started with training in increments; getting used to the sound, bring the ball back to me (next to the launcher), dropping the ball into my hands, and dropping the ball in himself (currently working on it). He does not yet feed the ball himself but I think he will learn over time. Something that I do not like about this product is the fuzzy balls. the balls become fuzzy after a few uses and within a few dozen throws. This makes my dog focus more on chewing and removing the fuzzy areas. I am going to look for some that size that are not covered in fuzzy stuff. Another issue that I have with this product is how to clean the inside after all the slobber is pushed past the gears.YM01

I bought this toy for my little french bull dogs first birthday. Seeing it capabilities online I was immediately impressed and intrigued with self play and the balls ability to get out from under areas the dog might have trouble with since my girlfriend is in her studies from home and her work is constantly interrupted from our dog whining about a ball trapped under somewhere. Within a week I see cheerble is now advertising a new version of the ball, felt like I missed out on a new improved design but was eager to see what the wicked ball W1 still had to offer. The ball showed up two weeks after and both my pet and I were excited. I got it out of the packaging read the manual and gave it to my French bull dog eager to play. She immediately took to it and could tell she was obsessed. This seemed all too good to be true. And it was…. In less than ten minutes our Frenchie had managed to get the clear plastic ring from the centre apart from the shell and dismantle the shell….maybe I should have got a replacement one but don't believe I should have to pay $10 to give my dog 10minutes of play… That is not sustainable living… Not for us anyways… Perhaps the new design is more durable but after spending $60+ for a ball after tax and shipping that couldn't withstand a 25lb pup I'm not to eager to dish it out again…. This ball was amazing at first. First day I used it my frenchie was obsessed however 10 mins in, I notice a piece was already broken off. Customer support was super nice and sent me a new shell with no problem, however when it arrived and I went to use it again, the shell wouldn’t close fully so it wouldn’t work. I got the shell to my apartment at school so by the time I was able to give it to my dog was about a month after I had received it so I never put in another request for a new one as I had no way to prove that it didn’t work since day 1. I bought this toy for my little french bull dogs first birthday. Seeing it capabilities online I was immediately impressed and intrigued with self play and the balls ability to get out from under areas the dog might have trouble with since my girlfriend is in her studies from home and her work is constantly interrupted from our dog whining about a ball trapped under somewhere. This product seemed to be perfect. I ordered it. Within a week I see cheerble is now advertising a new version of the ball, felt like I missed out on a new improved design but was eager to see what the wicked ball W1 still had to offer. The ball showed up two weeks after and both my pet and I were excited. I got it out of the packaging read the manual and gave it to my French bull dog eager to play. She immediately took to it and could tell she was obsessed. This seemed all too good to be true. And it was…. In less than ten minutes our Frenchie had managed to get the clear plastic ring from the centre apart from the shell and dismantle the shell….maybe I should have got a replacement one but don't believe I should have to pay $10 to give my dog 10minutes of play… That is not sustainable living… Not for us anyways… Perhaps the new design is more durable but after spending $60+ for a ball after tax and shipping that couldn't withstand a 25lb pup I'm not to eager to dish it out again…. This ball was amazing at first. First day I used it my frenchie was obsessed however 10 mins in, I notice a piece was already broken off. Customer support was super nice and sent me a new shell with no problem, however when it arrived and I went to use it again, the shell wouldn’t close fully so it wouldn’t work. Like it was always lose fitting and after 10 seconds of playing, the shell was fully open. The Petco frisbees are the only frisbees my dog will play with now. I usually buy 10-15 at a time. He goes through them quickly because he enjoys folding them to carry around after he catches them. My dog can’t get enough of frisbees, but they’re often either too rough on her gums (made of very hard plastic) or too expensive for fancier ones. These are a great price point and don’t leave her gums irritated or bleeding after a few catches like other cheap discs. We have the large one and it’s His favorite contraption! Probably because he gets treats out of it. I love filling this with treats and letting the pup go at it. He gets so involved and consumed in the treat dispenser it keeps him occupied for at least 15 minutes (that’s a long time for Gibson). What it doesn't say is that only the small yellow cap opens and you would have to put 3 cups of food through a penny sized hole. I have two of these balls, one in each size. For my 60 lbs. pit bulls I would recommend the larger, unless you're using a high reward treat (like jerky as opposed to kibble). I serve at least some of my dog's meals in a ball and he chases it around for quite a while. The only downside is it is pretty noisy on the hardwood floors or tile. Also be sure nothing too fragile might get in the way. He accidentally broke a vase that he ran into while chasing the ball across the living room. It's probably my dog's favorite solo activity. Our Chihauhua gets bored when we're gone during the day, and when he gets bored, he eats carpet. We had a few food toys, and they worked great, but he was getting bored with them and he had figured out all of them, so we purchased two more to help keep him busy. We purchased the medium IQ ball, and he LOVES it. We have carpeting, and the first day we played with it with him when we were home and he caught on very quickly. We have to put his dog food, and small treats in there for him. If we place just the regular food, he isn't interested. We crumble up a few treats, and he loves to roll the ball and "gamble" to get a yummy treat. When we go to leave the house he just sits and waits for us to put this toy down, and he is playing with it before we even close the door. Our chihuahua had figured out his old toys, so we purchased this one because we thought it was a puzzle inside which can be made harder. The opening can be set to harder or easier, but there isn't a puzzle inside like the other toy we purchased.There are two holes for the food to travel through. The first hole is settable in size, and brings the food into that clear colored area where they have to then push it out a second, non-size changeable hole. That said, he still loved it and since the first hole can be made smaller, it's still challenging enough for him. It's working great and we aren't even on the hardest setting yet after two months. Our Chihuahua is 10lbs lean, so it's great for a dog his size. I would have given this product a 5 star if I had known there wasn't a puzzle when I purchased it. This is such a good toy for pets to be entertained with, especially since you can adjust how hard you want to make it for your pet! I got it for my pet mini pig so he had something to do and he loves it! Also my two dogs love to roll it around with my pig for hours. I've been putting Cheerios in it which works pretty well except I put it on the hard level and the Cheerios are still somewhat easy to still get out but once I change the level to the hardest there is absolutely no way for them to get through. So wishers was more of a between level for it but either way it's doing its purpose and keeping my pets entertained.

I bought this food toy and also the Smarter Toys IQ Ball and like this item much better. On carpet it is soundless and the food doesn't make too much noise rolling around because the item is like a thick rubber as opposed to plastic. The item looks just like the picture, with three big, round bases, so it'll sit in an upwards position or your dog will need to use their paw or nose to turn it sideways to get food. My only complaint is that the item is fairly easy – the top opening is fairly large so small food bits come out as soon as the item is tipped over. It's good though and because it's not noisy my dog isn't frightened by it and actually uses it for dinner.wallybird
