I'm quite surprised with the reviews that say this product doesn't work. For my dog, it truly was a LIFE SAVER! I've been battling with my dogs hotspots (and dry, flaky skin) off and on ever since we moved back to the Midwest, at least a year of her issues. I've tried shampoos, conditioners, a handful of trips to the vet to trial different foods, and hundereds of dollars later I honestly just gave up. I started putting alternative topical agents on her that simply gave a temporary resolution. While traveling out of town, she (Mini Schnauzer) had a really bad case, to the point where she was starting to bleed. Tea oil, hot spot spray and the above HomeoPet drops were what I returned with, after another visit to the pet store. After the first day her redness had diminshed greatly and she wasn't itching nearly as much. By two, she wasn't itching AT ALL. I decided to remove the Tea oil and spray since I'd used them in the past without long-term results. It's been a week and my schnauzer has had 3-5 drops a day, oral dose of this product and she is doing exceptional! Seriously! No redness, no scratching. Today I hadn't given her any since yesterday afternoon and she started scratching again. I gave her 3 drops and about a couple hours later, again, her scratching is gone. This product worked exceptionally on my dog. On the other hand, I don't think her issues were due to food allergies, vs environmental surroundings, my guess. My two little dogs (a chihuahua and a chihuahua/daschund mix) really loved these treats! They were the perfect size for them as little dogs, plus they were all natural, so I felt good about giving my dogs these chews. My Labrador had stitches in her front leg right on the ankle joint so it was at high risk of infection as very close to the bone. I was hoping this would negate the need for the huge buster collar however, she would still lick at it through the sleeve and make it wet therefore increasing the risk of infection to the wound. She therefore still had to wear the buster collar as well as the sleeve to stop her licking it. Within a couple of days, there was a hole in the material of the sleeve and since then, a further tear has developed, so the quality of the material is not that good. She has also worked out how to get her leg out of it so all in all, it hasn’t been that great! Bought my 5lb toy poodle one in small. Loved the idea of the fleece vest with a ring to attach a leash so you don’t have to put a harness over it. However, the sizing is weird. The leg and neck openings are very big and the chest fit is snug causing it to bunch and gap. It runs long also, but I don’t mind that. I’ll keep it, but I am disappointed in the fit. The 2 stretch fleece vests by Gooby without the leash ring that I purchased in small fit my dog perfectly. I’ll stick with those, the sizing is accurate.Jody J
I have bought these vests in multiple colors over the past two years (have 3 rescue dogs). They are warm, fit well and do not drag on the ground, have a sturdy loop to attach a leash, and wash up very well and can be put in the dryer. I wish they would make even more colors than they do! XL fits the average cocker spaniel up to 25 lbs. while Large fits a small cocker up to 17 lbs. So for anyone with a truly large dog, these sizes will not fit. My only concern is – I don't know if I need to continue with it or is it just a one-time treatment. Wife found young cat in drain at work. She took it home. A few weeks ago she got underneath vehicle and jumped down while we were driving down the street. She had her tail and rear end run over. We took her to the vet, she was bleeding heavy. They patched her up and gave her meds, sent her home and said see if she makes it. Thankfully she is making a recovery, but she is not able to lift her tail or control her bladder or ****. Wife searched online, found mostly dog diapers, but came across this site. We did not have any problem getting over tail its when we tried around legs, either picking her up or trying upright. Wife and son tried to hold while I attempted to put on multiple times. All I can say is the diaper does a good job of holding my blood. We finally gave up after about the 10th time. Maybe our cat is a wild one, but she was having no part of this. I thought that since she was injured we would have no problems. Also tried when she was sleepy. I think I need to search for a cat diaper holding pen! I bought small for my mini dachshund and medium for my beagle. Both were perfect fit. I found they are great for occasional incontinence but they wet through quickly and sag, making them very easy to slip out of. Daisy, our 16 year old beagle, wrestled her way out of them repeatedly. After some trial and error, we found the perfect solution. We use Poise pads inside the diaper (disposable pads used for human incontinency issues) and mitten clips to attach them to her harness! I'm about to order another set in the pretty fall Lodge colors. Very happy to have saved my floors and my sanity. Great product. We absolutely LOVE the Belly Bands! My 12.5 yo boy was peeing on the floor in the kitchen during the night and it made me crazy! I was about ready to start crating him at night, like I did when he was a puppy and house training. As a last ditch effort to having crates in the house again, I got the Belly Bands and Diapers, and the bands fit and work GREAT!! But the diapers in the same size, are too big and come off! After noticing hyperkeratinosis on the paws of my senior basset hound (Baxter), I researched various products, and this one seemed to have the best reviews. Looking at the ingredients, sure you could make this stuff yourself, but for the money, it's more affordable to just buy a container, especially when a little goes so far. When I first put it on, he wasn't happy. I suppose his feet hurt so much on those spots, touching them was painful. However, shortly after using it, it was if he was a different dog. I'm not trying to allude that this is a miracle cure, or will change your pet significantly, but when considering that he went from watching my other dogs to playing with them, and walking with a better stride, and being happier in general, I give it a ton of credit. It has been a few weeks, and his feet are softer, but not totally cured. My lab/beagle mix suffers from skin allergies, and the poor thing will scratch and chew herself until she bleeds, so I was very eager to try this product. My poor pupper got irritated paws from horrible ginko berries smashed all over the fall ground and then made them worse by licking. They were so red and I felt so bad. This product is on the shelf next to a dozen others that claim to do the same thing, but I didn't get to it until three others didn't get the job done. This showed visible improvement within a day. Bonus that he didn't lick it off – before I tried this I would combo an antimicrobial with one of those "bitter taste dogs hate" sprays, but my dog is weird and loved those things and would lick them like crazy. This product works great for my dog. She’s coonhound and beagle mix. When I first brought her home she shed something awful! HAIR WAS EVERYWHERE! I was at my wits end and so ready to rehome her due to the excess shedding. I stayed up all nite and googled and came across this product! She really loved the taste of it in the beginning, but now not so much, so I give her 1-2 tablespoons a day. I’m definitely keeping her on this for a while. It’s much more convenient than having to melt coconut oil and applying it on her food. The pro: it definitely works! Plus Petco does price match in store with online! The con: Can be a bit pricey, as You have to buy 2 or more bottles before you see results. And your pet may not like it! I suggest holding on to the receipt, as I bought one for a friend and their pet didn’t care for it. The instructions say to double the dose for the first 30 days depending on the weight of your pet. Cookie weighs about 25lbs. For the first 30days I had to give her 4 tablespoons a day sprinkled and mixed in her food. 2tblsp in the a.m and 2tblsp in the p.m. from the 16oz bottle so I ran out of the fish oil in less than a week. Sometimes there’s only 1 bottle on the shelf or store is out of stock.Chelle T
My wife and I went in to grab this and ended up talking to a representative in the grooming who missed lead us and gave us false information and we ended up paying $150 for a de shed Bath. She said our dogs stop shedding in a few days but that was not the case two weeks later and it was worse than ever we ended up getting our money back for just a shedding but it wasn’t even the point. My baby pit bull loves this. She always seems hungry. Yet I feed her plenty and extra most days. Since adding this she seems satisfied for longer between feeding. I just drizzle most every bowl she eats with around a tablespoon. Her coat has become super shiny and smooth. Her dry patches at her elbows have gotten better as well. My baby had a tick bite on her neck that would not heal until started her on this. She also has more energy for play. And more responsive to new training. I thought this product will be the long waited answer to my poor dog who has been suffering from hot spots and endless discomfort with allergy. I followed exact directions with a very small amount formulated in his food. His body immediately reacted to this product so badly with loose and very dark stool. I continued to give it in such a tiny amount mixed in the food, and his condition kept worsening. I had to conclude this product failed just like other supplements. My 11 yr old aussie mix Mary was diagnosed with Diffuse gastric cancer in September. This supplement was recommended by the vet technician, her senior dog was taking it and it made a difference in her daily life so we got some.
