First, the best parts: This harness works great! Rufus (catahoula leopard hound/mix) does not pull AT ALL anymore and he seemed to "get the idea" all on his own with little to know training . . . it is almost as if being led from the front j ust instantly changed his mentality. I have always been able to walk Rosie (American foxhound) like a puppy on a string and sometimes almost had to pull her (laziest foxhound anywhere) so it is also nice with her to not be pulling her by the neck . . . she plods happily along. It's easy to adjust, easy to put on, easy to take off, looks very nice, holds up well, does not chafe. Here is where there is room for improvement: as noted in some other reviews, the sizing is off, but what I noticed is a bit different . . . both dogs measure very close to the middle for the size I ordered (medium) but all of the straps had to be adjusted to the tightest it would go in order to fit and it still seems a bit loose around the FRONT. I tried turning it upside down as noted by the company in response to some of the reviews, but it seemed to fit almost the same. So you may want to order a size smaller or call the company before ordering to be sure that it is going to fit. The other thing I am not fond of is that the buckles seem to be right at the armpits and that bothers me probably more than it bothers the dogs. However, here is another upside! When my (adult) son accidentally put the harness on the dog incorrectly, we found that it can also be used with the D-ring on the back instead of the front (at least on these breeds) and it works beautifully, so if you want the leash to attach to the dog's back rather than to the front, it's sort of a "bonus" use of the harness. Rosie (the easy walker) seems to prefer this Other than the sizing issue (which is probably also the issue with where the buckle falls), I LOVE this harness and it has truly "turned my dog around . . . The chest adjustment is at its loosest, but the chest/belly straps are almost maxed out on tightness, so I couldn't size up to make it better fit my 50lb lab/chow mix. The chest strap also slips down with extreme pulling, which fortunately for my pup isn't super frequent, but it has tripped him once. I think the instructions say that the chest straps should be tightened if this happens, but they also say that the harness should be a T shape, and if I tighten the chest strap, it definitely pulls behind his front legs. I bought this 2 weeks ago. My standard poodle puppy (8 months old) would jerk so hard on his leash when he saw another dog on our walks that I would practically get pulled off my feet. With ice on the sidewalks, I was afraid to take him for a walk. I went to Petco to buy a prong collar out of desperation. An employee who helps with their dog training described how this harness would be a better solution. This harness has worked like a miracle! My dog walks calmly by my side. If he starts to pull, the leash puts a bit of pressure on his chest, instead on my arm. Nicely made and dog can't back out if properly fitted. Sizing is a bit weird. My chihuahua mix and fox terrier wear the same size, but my rat terrier wears the next size up. Neck size is important. Although this is my third Ezy Dog Harness, and I do like the simplicity of fitting this particular harness on my dog (an Australian Bulldog), I am disappointed with the size recommended. My dog weighs about 31kg, and his measurements (checked twice) also fitted well within the limit for a LARGE harness. Consequently, that is the size I ordered. However, the harness is somewhat tight on him.
This is my second purchase of this harness and lead- this one for our second dog. They are light weight- easy to adjust- and the dog seems to find it comfy- i would love to see one with a front chest D for the dogs that lead better that way – we added this in for our older dog. I have a Chocolate Lab that weights in at about 80 pounds. She is really hard to fit for a harness. They are always to big on the top/neck to fit her on the chest. Finally I have one that fits her in both places the she seems very comfortable in. The PetSafe 3 in 1 Harness is adjustable at both the top/neck and the chest. It has a nice padding for comfort. It gives the ability to walk her from the front or back which is great depending on how you want to walk your dog or the situation you are in. Bonus feature for the dog that loves to ride in the car, is the strap on the back that the seat belt can slide through to secure your dog in the car. I can honestly say that the front no pull option didn't stop my girl from pulling if something distracted her enough. Mine ripped in the same place others have complain about. My dog did not chew it. It was so odd as I was taking the dog to class and it just fell apart. Wasn’t even pulling on it. I have two Easy Walk harnesses that are 11 and 12 years old and still going strong. However I bought one for my new puppy and it’s much thinner and flimsy looking. But it didn’t break she just outgrew it. Even though the Petsafe broke it was prettier so I was ready to try one again until I read the reviews and saw others breaking in the same place.MJCB
I love the versatility of this harness. I am able to use this for my car rides or when going out for a walk with my dog. We always have trouble with keeping him still in the car and am afraid he will fall or get hurt when driving. I was able to put this harness and attach to my seat Belt while still giving him wiggle room. It’s great for walking out too the only thing I find uncomfortable is how the front clip is set. It’s supposed to prevent my dog from pulling and it does help with this a lot, however I find it uncomfortable to attach a leash to. Usually I am used to having the leash at the top or dog’s back. This has both so its very versatile like I said. My doggy seems to be comfortable in this harness too so the pull clip I will not use but may work great for other owners. We use the rabbitgoo harness with our double doodle Finn. Walking his 85lb self has its moments, he likes to walk you. The harness has a double clip option. One on the chest and one on the back along with a grab handle which is great on my narrow streets when cars pass. It is super adjustable. A size large is more than adequate for our big dog. We were rear-ended on the freeway Sunday night. One dog was in the "Impact" and one in the "True Fit". While both dogs "flew" a little, the harnesses did their job keeping both dogs in the backseat. We spent a couple of days checking on them to make sure there were no latent injuries or bruising. The harnesses did really well. Bought for a large, barrel-chested but narrow golden doodle. The straps still barely touch where they're supposed to be held together by the elastic hook at the top, but despite being almost too small, the hard plastic chest piece cuts into the tops of his legs in a way that makes the product absolutely unusable. It doesn't curve to his body at all, and would not be at all suitable for sitting in a car without causing him pain. The back end of the chest piece also doesn't conform to his body at all, even when tightened – the hard flaps stick straight out to the sides. If your dog has a tall narrow triangular chest, rather than wide and rounded, I'd look elsewhere.lrose
We purchased this harness for our female boxer who likes to back out of most harnesses. Purchased a size medium although her weight fits into the lower range of the size large because we had problems with a similar car harness not adjusting small enough around her neck therefore allowing her to back out of it. Her neck measurement is 15 inches and her chest measurement is 31 inches. She appeared more comfortable in this harness then the one we previously purchased and did not try to back out of it like with the other. The amount of possible size adjustment on this harness is great compared to the other we have. The straps on this harness are one continuous loop instead of one set for the neck and another around the chest so you don't end up with the neck area too large which happens often with large chested dogs. The only con we have noticed is that the harness does seem to loosen up with use so it has to be readjusted. It would be helpful if there were a way to buckle the seat belt and then use a sturdy loop or some kind of attachment to go through the two loops on the back of the harness and around the seat belt because it can be hard to do and potentially could give the dog a chance to escape while you are fighting with the seat belt to get them hooked in.Boxer

I had to order two and one does not fit because the neck section is NOT adjustable. The other one is way too big overall. Bought this harness when I (and family) adopted our new retriever mix and were required to get a martingale harness as part of the adoption agreement. We've had him for just over two weeks now and I’m disappointed to discover that the straps of the harness we bought then have frayed dramatically at several points in such a short time; including one point at which a key strap is holding on by just a few threads! It seemed to fit relatively well during the time we have been using it. I’ve seen discussion that this kind of thing starts with a nick in the side of the strap, that must somehow have been caused by the dog chewing and/or scratching. As part of our work to train our dog, we’ve been very aware of his overall behavior, especially when going for walks. He’s not a puppy and never actively scratched or bit at the harness to our knowledge but, of course, it’s not impossible that this might have happened once or twice. My Luna is a 2yr old black lab-pitbull mix. She's husky, friendly, and a puller when she's on a lead. Having a harness that helps with the pulling is a blessing.
