Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. My Great Pyrenees has been suffering from chronic reoccuring staph infection due to food allergies for almost 2 yrs. I was able to try this product through Viewpoints! I am normally lost when it comes to trying new brands and my dogs always turn their noses up to any vitamins or supplements that I try to give them. I opted to try this sample of Derma Strength because we already use another Vetriscience product and love it. Our older pup (14) has very dry skin and coarse hair. Our vet recommended some other chews, but they were cost prohibitive. We did not hold high hopes our old girl would eat these, as she is a treat snob. She LOVES them. I mean, she begs for these treats! Recently she was diagnosed with kidney stones and has to eat a prescription food which makes up 95% of her diet. My girl Patches had a lump on her front leg. It turned out to be a sarcoma. We removed the tumor and discussed radiation therapy. I made the decision to wait and see what would happen.. She was 14.years old and would have to be put to sleep 15 straight days for radiation. After 8 months, the tumor returned. My vet said the only way to really take care of this was to remove her leg. After spending a LOT more money (over $60.) than I should have, I was upset to discover that they are filled with solid styrofoam! I thought they would be filled with spongy foam rubber, but such is not the case. However, the zippered cover is a redeeming quality. Sturdy cotton on the sides, with fleece on the tops of the steps. But the styrofoam ruins the quality of the steps. I would have returned the steps but didn't want the hassle; it's big and bulky. Also, I didn't want to pay the shipping cost to return them. If you want an overpriced piece of junk, by all means go ahead and buy these pet steps.
This is actually my second time purchasing these stairs. My first set lasted close to 8 years! I have a 9 pound 8 1/2 year old Chihuahua that is unable to jump up onto our bed due to the height. Way back when, I struggled trying to find stairs that would actually reach the level of our bed until I found these. They are prefect for anyone that has a high bed and is concerned about their small dog (or cat) jumping on and off. They are super lightweight but durable. The cover can be easily removed and washed. The only issue I have ever run into with my dog and these stairs is that while he will use them to get up onto the bed, he will not use them to come down off of the bed. I am not sure if it is because they are a tad on the steep side (because of the height) or if he just has some strange quirk (one never knows with a Chihuahua). My Dog has Chronic Kidney disease, which causes anemia. This was the only product I was able find for pets that I felt was appropriate. It did help my dog for a time, I am very grateful! It didn't seem to cause him additional stomach or intestinal upset (which is great for an iron supplement:)). I am only giving 3 stars because for my dog's needs, it simply did not give him enough iron and it does not contain vitamin C (helps the body absorb the iron), and he seemed to have some reactions sometimes. So, I had to find a different source. For a healthy dog, too much iron can be lethal so this is possibly still a great product for healthy dogs (check with your vet :)). Lastly, Iron supplements for dogs have been very difficult for me to find, and when I needed it, this product was there. THANK YOU!Manija
Kudos to the fact it arrived 1 week early. I bought it to supplement my senior dogs diet. I was having a tough time finding something she could eat anymore so I started making her a puree with chicken, rice and veggies and I added this supplement to it. I use this product on the vulva of my female golden retriever. She has a skin flap that holds in moisture, so she has a chronic skin condition there if not treated. It causes her to "scoot" constantly due to a discharge. This ointment was quickly and entirely effective for eliminating the symptoms. If your dog gets paw and skin dermatitis you need to get this! My golden retriever gets it from outdoor allergies especially from grass. I received the Dyne on Saturday and starting using it immediately. At first, my Doberman 9 week old pup turned his nose up at it. But then, I figured out that I needed to dilute it with a small amount of water so it would blend with his dog food better. He started eating all of his food at every feeding and has now put on 7 pounds in 3 days. When I got the pup, he weighed 4.5 pounds at 6 weeks and was severely underweight. He is now 15 pounds at 9 weeks. The Dyne should bring him up to the proper weight for his age and breed. I would recommend this product to others.cadydye
I cannot believe the change in my 12 year old dog in just a few days. I started him on Dyne less than a week ago because he was dropping weight and lethargic. You can noticeably see that he is gaining weight and he is running around and wanting to play again. I just mix this right in his food and he loves it!
My 9 yr old Shih Tzu has always been under weight and bony. The vet says he is healthy just increase his calorie intake. My 12 year old chihuahuas liver blood work came back very very high so her vet put her on Denamarin. When we did her follow up blood work 4 months later her numbers tripled. If you have a small breed dog, be careful! These bites are large; my Shih Tzu can't chew them whole; I have to cut them into smaller pieces so she can take them. So, if you have a small puppy, make sure you cut the bites into small pieces and give them to your dog. Overall the results are good, and you should try this product at least once.

However, I do notice it has formed black spots or some type of mold in it over time and I haven't given it to him since.
