An old doggo with a history of ear "dirt" that required weekly cleaning, applied these drops for a week and the results were impressive. Using a cotton ball to remove the residue (and icky stuff), and she clearly hears better. I ABSOLUTELY do NOT recommend this product to anyone. Your pet is better off with having the mites. I followed the directions properly, and my dog is currently at the vet having intensive care treatment given due to pyrethrin poisoning. She started vomiting and quickly declined to seizures and inability to walk correctly (stumbling all over) The seizures are bad and progressing. I purchased this product after noticing one of my two newly adopted kitties had ear mites in one ear. I treated both cats since mites can spread easily between them. After just two treatments the mites were gone. If you read the entire box carefully, you will find the directions quickly on the left side of the box: Apply 5 drops into each ear twice a day until mites are eliminated. Be sure to get the drops into the deeper part of the ears. I have found that once the drops are in, gently rub the area to encourage the drops in. This also helps keep the drops in the ear once you let the cat go because they will shake their heads instinctively. I highly recommend this product. I’ve been using Zymox for years. My terrier mix has Ear Edge Dermatitis. It’s incurable and usually tears up the edges of the ear from constant cell overgrowth (auto immune) and dogs will be plagued with constant ear issues and itching. When I notice him itching, I put a few drops in ear and massage into ear canals, then rub into the edges of ears. I've always liked Zymox products, but this one really impressed me! GSD/BC mix has had continual ear issues since having a hematoma drained in her right ear. The ear lays over and is full of thicker tissue which seems to hold in a ton of moisture. This last bout of pain and scratching was making her (and me!) absolutely crazy and, after a week of use, the regular Zymox I always have on hand just wasn't cutting it. I did a bit of searching and found the Zymox plus advanced formula and figured I'd give that a try before resorting to a vet visit, antibiotics, steroid drops, etc. After the second day of use, she stopped shaking her head, scratching and whining. I have an English Cocker, with long heavy ears. She is prone to ear infections. My vet recommended this product. I put it into both ear canals, and then rub the top of the ears for 30 seconds, making sure I get that wet, squishy sound. I do it three times a week, and she has not had an ear infection for 2 years! The only negative is that it has a little bit of a chemical/perfume smell while it is still wet. As soon as it dries, there is no smell. When the house is cold, I put the container in the microwave for about 5 seconds. It's much more pleasant for her to have warm solution going into her ears.Joan

It didn't work better than the standard cat ear cleaners. I used it almost daily for two weeks or so. It loosens the gunk so you can wipe it out but doesn't get rid of it at it's source, which is the whole point. There's new dark brown gunk still being made down in her ears daily. I rescued a dog. He had bad ear mites, took care of those with mineral oil. Took him to a vet and for the same old make money bit, he had an ear infection. So, he got antibiotics orally. Then he kept showing signs of pain, itching etc..,but the smell let me know from his ears he had a bad yeast infection. Being a nurse I tried several home remedies to no avail. I looked around online for something non prescription and not expensive that would have something to kill yeast. Dr. Gold's has ketoconazale. I used to spend so much $ taking my dogs to the vets for ear infections, because every time they got a bath they would end up with water in your ears and get an ear infection and of course the vet would make me come in to get an antibiotic! So you pay an office visit and then you pay for the antibiotic and a test to see what the problem is very expensive! I use this every time I bathe my pet and ever since I started using it I've never had to deal with an ear infection again! I held off on a medicine to treat his ears with that didn't contain an insecticide; they didn't work. This works and it's affordable. Be sure to use some Qtip brand swabs to remove the gunk and don't go too deep into the ear. Flush the ears with Epiotic by Virbac once done treating to remove all the debris from the mites croaking. Wipe their ears out as the brown gunk needs to be removed or they will keep scratching.Lifeisgood1

I have a Schweenie ( half shih tzu/dachsund), she suffers from ear infections due to her long flappy ears. I love that this product is All natural, I feel really comfortable using this product on her ears. For the review, Upon receiving the Ear Cleaner by Particular Paws, I set out to fight this infection! I added about 8 drops to her ear canal, massaged them really well then cleaned out with a cotton ball as per the instructions. I treated her ears everyday for a week and the infection cleared! I had drops by the vet for her ears but they never seemed to clear it up! I know am using this product 2 times a week to make sure the infection does not come back! So far so good, I have had this product for about 3 weeks and No sign of the ear infection. No scratching and whimpering! I feel really good about this product and does what it claims to do! I highly recommend this product especially if your dog or cat suffers from ear infections or if you want to keep the ears clean! I have an English Bulldog mix puppy and it seems like I am always bathing or cleaning him in some way. He likes to get in to things and get dirty but he does not like taking baths. Lately I have noticed that his ears have been much dirtier then normal so I have been keeping an eye on him to make sure I can keep his ears clean. I was cleaning his ears with just some cotton swabs and a little bit of cleaner before but I figured I needed to find something that was actually made to help dogs ears. When I saw this ear cleaner on the site I figured I would give it a try to see how it worked and if it would help my pup out. I used it on his ears shortly after I received it in the mail to see if it would help. The ear cleaner is made with all natural ingredients and is a powerful formula but gentle enough for sensitive ears. It contains aloe vera, Boswallia Berrata gum, tea tree oil, vitamin e and oak extract. It doesn't contain any harsh chemicals or toxins and is safe to use with dogs of all ages and breeds. It is supposed to help reduce inflammation and heal ear aches, rashes, itchiness and any general discomfort for the dogs as well as helping keep ears clean and healthy. It is really easy to use and not much is needed when it is used. I applied the cleaner to my dogs ears by putting a couple drops inside his ears and then massaging them gently so it would go down inside and then I cleaned the inside of his ear with a cotton swab. He did not like it the first couple times I used it because I think he was not used to it but after that he didn't mind it. I have used it several times now and it is seeming to help keep his ears clean from all the grime that was inside of them. I haven't had any problems with this ear cleaner so far and am happy that I found it because it is actually helping my pup. Not only do I love it, but my cats love it. It smells great, so they don't have to run around smelling awful. It is not greasy or anything like that. My cats usually don't like me putting anything in their ears, but they don't seem to mind this. I can't attest to how they feel about it, but I like it. It is easy to use and there isn't alot of mess to clean up afterwords. They haven't been scratching around their ears as much, they don't have ear mites or anything like that, I just think they were dry. So I think this helps moisturize them some because they have quit scratching. The ingrediants are all natural (Contains Aloe Vera, Boswallia Berrata gum, tea tree oil, Vitamin E and oak extract), so I don't mind putting them in some place as sensitive as my cat's ears.
