This product didn't work for my dog at all. It just changed the colour of her diarrhea. I think one of the problems is that the directions say to give to your dog every four hours. However, it's cherry flavoured, which my dog didn't find appetizing. The only way I could give it to her was by mixing it up in her food, but I can't be feeding her every four hours otherwise she'd be overweight.Jerome

Did my research and this seemed to be best way to go. Off I went, and after 2 days, she is fine. She wasnt having often but it was definitely diarrhea and when it was time she was off and running all over the yard. and it seemed she kept thinking she had to go but it was done. Anyway, she was playing, eating and drinking fine, just diarrhea that was bothersome for her. Will keep this on hand at all times as she tends to have tummy issues about once a month. Well and Good Anti-Diarrhea Liquid did work. Both of my dogs had diarrhea so I started them on boiled chicken, rice and pumpkin with 1/3 cup a water the first three days. After three days their poop was firmer but still soft so I purchased this at Petco. They would not take this straight they did not like it so I mixed one teaspoon per dog bowl added two tablespoons of pumpkin then 1/3 cup of warm water stirred it up and they both licked the bowls clean. The first dose was given to them at 4 PM and their poop was a lot firmer by 11 Pm that evening. The next morning at 6 am I gave them the second dose and by 12 noon everything was back to normal in the one dog. I will give the third dose tonight at 6 P. I will say for me it really worked! Mixing with water and pumpkin allows the dogs to get more water in their system. After three days they still will not drink out of the water bowls but they get plenty of water with ice at night and during the day 1/3 cup water with the 2 tbs of pumpkin three times.Kannacker

HIGHLY recommend! These past few days have been a nightmare with my 12-year old Maltese having severe diarrhea. It's never been this bad before. It started randomly 2 days ago. That morning she had normal poops but randomly in the afternoon she started having diarrhea. I didn't think much of it until she started pooping liquid and mucus (small amounts but painful nonetheless) every 1-2 hours. We went from painful diarrhea every 1-2 hours to being accident-free almost immediately? How is that possible? I honestly had my doubts even after reading all the great reviews, but I'm so glad I was proven wrong. I'm definitely going to keep it around in case of emergencies in the future. I've only given her 1 dose so far but she's already acting like her usual self. I first tried putting the medicine into her chicken/rice mix but she wouldn't touch it. I tried putting it in her water but she only drank a little bit. I was desperate to get her to take the medicine any way possible. I gave her some of the grilled chicken I was eating and drizzled the liquid over it. She ate it all up so fast and I'm so relieved. She would have accidents, I swear, every hour or so and it was exhausting throughout the night. Having to hear her pained yelps as she tried to relieve herself every time was heartbreaking. The last 2 nights have been filled with zero to no sleep since I was constantly up cleaning her mess and trying to sooth her while she was in pain. We have yet to see a hard poop but just the fact that she's not having to strain and diarrhea every other hour after 1 dose is a miracle! So happy we found this!Gooliaaa

I use Endosorb any time one of my dogs has loose stool or gets diarrhea. Usually one or two chewable tablets will prevent loose stool from becoming diarrhea, and if the dog already has diarrhea it usually only takes one or two tablets to stop it but I always finish the day by giving the full recommended dose. We were originally prescribed Endosorb for our mini Schnauzer to treat diarrhea and chronic loose stools. It works great and our boy will take them right out of our hands. Of course our boy likes to sample anything he finds on the ground outside which is part of the problem causing belly upset and loose stools. On a Friday in Jan 2012 our Beagle, Ben (14), seemed very lathargic. He was still eating but not as much as usual. His current major health issue is arthritis and gets a daily regimen of baby asprin for the pain. I started feeding him rice mixed with some wet dog food and making sure he was offered water a hour or so. On Sat. afternoon we noticed that his stool was a tary black so I thought he must be bleeding inside. He did not have a bowel movement at all on Sunday and we noticed that his gums were very pale so I decided that I needed to take him to the vet on Monday if he did not improve. I was worried that maybe the asprin (1 – 82 mg 2 x a day) may have caused an ulcer hence the bleeding. The VET ran a blood test and took an x-ray on Monday. $300 later His red blood cell count was at 11 and should be in the 35-50 range. So, he was very anemic. His digestive track did not appear to be ruptured but he did have a large mass in his abdomin and his heart seemed enlarged which may mean a mass on his heart, also. The vet suggested a Sonogram to possibly give more internal info. (another $150) and the next step would be to transfer Ben to the nearest Emergency clinic for a blood transfusion which may be another $600-700. Considering Ben's age I decided against the Sonogram and Blood Transfusion so the vet said the alternative would be to put him to sleep because he is very sick. I said "today?" and mentioned that my husband would want to say goodbye. She said okay, take him home for a day and bring him back tomorrow but that I shouldn't wait too long. My husband and decided that as long as he was eating and drinking we were not going to put him to sleep. The vet did not believe he was in pain, just very tired, like he just got over the flu (for example). I did some research on-line that Monday and found this blood and energy supplement. I placed and order, stopped his asprin regimen and fed him med. rare steak and continued rice with soft food over the next couple days while waiting for the supplement to get here. I started him on Blood & Energy by Wed. evening and by Sunday he was making his normal circle around the yard. We were carrying him from the couch to go out and eliminate then he would come right back in. We could not believe we even thought about putting him to sleep. It is now Mid March 2012 and he seems better than he was before and he seems to be shedding less. I would suggest this supplement for any older dog especially if they are anemic and expensive transfusions are not an option for you as a pet owner. Good luck! I hope this helped. I came across this product many years ago when I was trying to manage my young dog's diarrhea issues. Even though it didn't stop diarrhea immediately in its tracks, it really did help with keeping his poop in a solid state. My vet was happy that it was recommended for cats & dogs, as it is really hard to give cats any pills (did you ever try??). I wouldn't feed my dog without this natural supplement, which is really easy to dispense-just put 5-6 drops on the food.dranneb

I have used this Buffer for at least the last 5 years. I have periodically tried some other products because this product is not available locally from my LFS. I always have to order it. So at times when I have run out, I have tried other things. I have found no product that is as consistent in its ability to keep my levels steady. Hi everyone….I needed something for a 4 month old kitten that had been sneaking my 8 year old cat's food and had loose stools. I had taken her to the vet for this twice, and was still having trouble so tried this pet pectillin, which sounded like a cat form of kaopectate. (she had taken a prescribed dose of Flagil and I tried pumpkin as well) The kitten was easy to dose so it must be mild flavored, but it never did alleviate the problem. She is now 6 months and still has a looser stool than I would prefer, but two vets were not concerned, so I assume it will normalize over time. She is healthy and drinks a lot of water. Perhaps it is not the Pet pectillin, but the cat….It maybe a great product, but did not work for my kitten at all.MickieD

After we tried a bottle successfully, I now keep Pet Pectillin on hand for my little dogs' sensitive stomachs. Nothing is wrong with them medically (cleared by vet, possibly stress) but someone may get soft stools occasionally and a few doses of this will help firm up the stools again. The dogs like the flavor and I can just pour a teaspoon over their food. With this product being safe for dogs and cats, I gave it to my cat when he had an upset tummy by mixing it in with his wet food. Seems like a pretty simple and gentle formula. I ask him a question about probiotics, he immediately start talking to me rude and then when I try to explain him what’s goin on what the issue I have I that time he was like I don’t understand what you saying like my man in what part of world that he lives that he didn’t understand a simple question and start talking rude, well after that he was looking for someone that speak Spanish because I’m what he understood he didn’t understand what I was trying to asking him. I read tons of reviews on multiple sites and decided to try these on my dogs. These legit work!!! My dogs(we have 5) had a bad can of stress diarrhea for a week from moving to a new home. It was awful!!! After taking these chews for 2 days there has been a major improvement. They are almost 100% back to normal. My senior Labrador who had it the worst made the biggest turnaround. I'm unsure of how well this product works mainly because I found my dog did not like taking it. I did not find it to dissolve well in his water and he did not want to drink his water with the packet mixed in it. Then I tried sprinkling it on his food which he ate but a large amount of the packet just settled on the bottom. I think you almost need to have moist food for it to stick. The little bit I got into him did not seem to make any difference but I know he didn't get their recommended amount and I did not get a lot days with him actually consuming it. I might try to administer it with moist food if he seems to have some digestive issues come up. For now, I didn't find the product to be either helpful or bad. It did not dissolve easily and was not easy to get my dog to consume it.corgi mom

The Tomlyn Pre & Probiotic supplement is a water soluble powder that mixes in with your dogs food or water. This product comes with 30 individually wrapped packets that contain a really, really fine white powder. I like that it is ground really fine because it makes it easier to mix. The only downside to that is that it can puff/smoke up if you are too heavy handed when pouring the product from the packaging. I've been using this product for a week now and I love that I am putting good bacteria into my senior dogs gut. my vet and i found this product while looking up options to help my 15+ year senior cat who struggled with chronic constipation for years. x-rays showed he was borderline megacolon but not quite. a low fiber diet and osmotic laxatives like miralax helped, but didn't provide full relief and it was easy to over- or under-dose the miralax. prn cisapride also helped, but it was just a bandaid on the larger problem. he wasn't dehydrated and his diet includes canned food with extra water to support his old kidneys. more accurately, we first found a veterinary research article about SLAB-15, a probiotic blend that showed clinically significant reduction in cat constipation and diarrhea. the combination of probiotic bacterial species in the tomlyn pre- and probiotic comes the closest to SLAB-15 of anything we could find that was also easy to purchase regularly. i've been using this product for a few months and am over the moon with how well it alleviates my senior cat's GI symptoms. he's much more comfortable now that he's not bloated, no longer strains to defecate, and no longer needs laxatives or cisapride. the powder has no smell or flavor. it dissolves well in water and i mix it into his wet food, but the powder is fine enough to shake and coat his dry food without him noticing (or at least he doesn't care). yes, this is the dog version of the product, but formula-wise, the dog and cat versions are exactly the same. with the dog version, you get twice as much product for the same price. it also seems that the dog version is the only one ever on sale. just note that the dog sachets are 2g and the cat sachets are 1g, so a cat would get half the 2g dog packet per day. it works out to about 1/2 tsp per day, or 1/4 tsp 2x day.sfaust

On 22 July 2017 my guinea pig was given a massive Vibravet doxycycline overdose that damaged his digestive system. This product helps the ‘good’ bacteria in his tummy to flourish and supports gut motility. After the OD I fed 2 tablets/day. 1.5 years later I still feed one tablet per day (0.5 in the am, 0.5 at night). My guinea pig will most likely need this tablet for life. My 10 year old cat was literally dying because she could not eat and was getting too weak to drink. She was getting palliative, hospice type care but I didn't want her to starve to death. I take care of feral cats and I Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) them in order to decrease the cat population in my neighborhood. When spaying a female cat, you have to keep them for at least 4 days for them to appropriately heal and have the affects of the anesthesia to wear off completely. One of the ferals that I trapped was a skin-and-bones female that was really too young to be having the kitten she was towing around with her. So I trapped her and her only surviving female kitten, had them both fixed and proceeded to "Fatten them up" and have them heal completely. "Under the Weather" Ready-Cal was the perfect supplement to give to both mamma and baby while they healed. I kept mamma in my care for one month because she was so pathetically thin. In that month, Mamma's coat changed from a rusty brown to a glossy black. She gained weight to where you could no longer feel her ribs poking through her fur. She did not like indoor life AT ALL and could not be socialized or handled, so she was released back to her outdoor home. I continue to feed Mamma every day, even built her an outdoor heated shelter in my fenced in yard. She is very content now. She now loves people, but cannot be picked up off the ground or lifted, but allows petting and head scratches. As for her kitten, she socialized very well, is awesome at vet visits and handling, and doubled in size very quickly because of the added Ready-Cal supplement and gained weight at a rate of 1lb/month. She was de-wormed, de-fleaed, and now is added to our family as a "foster-fail" which means that she is just too stinking cute to adopt out, so I kept her as part of our family. If I put their wet food down without the Ready-CAL supplement they sniff it as something is not quite right with the food. Once I apply it to the food, they lick the brown calorie-dense "goop" (as my husband calls it) off the top of the food first, then they dig into and eat the rest. I do not feel that the kitten and Mamma cat would have recovered so fully and have such good health now if it was not for the Ready-Cal supplement. I continue to give Mamma cat the supplement every day because she is an outdoor cat, and they burn more calories being outside. I bought these chews for my aunt's 9 year old German Shepherd. She used to buy him human probiotic because he would refuse to take any probiotic made for the dogs. These chews must taste pretty good because he keeps begging for more. So far his constipation improved and he seems to have more energy .Jaja

All 3 of my dogs approve. We give these everyday to our oldest 2 dogs. No real help problem for either dog. I know probiotics are a good supplement and now that 2 of them are getting older I thought it would be a good idea to start. The product looks like it was exposed to air. There is a build up dried material on the dropper neck.This is the 3rd bottle from different vendor's, it is not the sellers fault. I believe this is a manufacturing error. Unfortunately, they are the only makers of this product.P

My 12 year old chihuahuas liver blood work came back very very high so her vet put her on Denamarin. When we did her follow up blood work 4 months later her numbers tripled. I started looking else where and found these. After 3 months of being on hepato support 1/2 capsule in the morning and the other half in the evening her levels were right back down to a decent level and she is back to her lovable happy self.
