We've been using this in our dogs water for about a month now. While I have seen some improvement in their skin health, I think it's really not what I was hoping for. The dog I bought this for, still has some irritation in his ears. I guess some improvement is better than none. The only problem I have, is that it's only a months supply and that means that it becomes another "monthly bill". Another $30 a month (for…forever?) is just too much to take on, considering we (like everyone else) have TONS of monthly bills. Not sure what my next step will be, but I'll try to find something either less expensive per month or go back to the Vet & hope they have a solution that will take care of the problem. Our Beagle's allergies had been getting progressively worse to the point that our vet said not to let her outside and to wipe her down when she comes in from going potty. I have a beagle mix who is allergic to almost everything! He's allergic to trees, pollen, grass, cats, dust, seriously the list goes on. During the spring and summer his allergies get so bad on his feet. They itch him so bad that he chews on them and it leaves them raw and then that leads to a yeast infection (which he is also allergic to). We have had him on prescription allergy medicine and even have gotten him steroids and allergy shots. I have been giving him 1.5 pills twice a day, as the bottle recommends, for about a week and I am honestly surprised that these actually seem to be helping. He has barely touched his paws, which mean they aren't bothering him being itchy. When he chews on his feet it leaves them super pink/red and in the past week they have been getting back to their usual white coloring. I have 3 large dogs ranging in age from 1 to 10 years. The oldest one has some allery issues with itchy skin, and the youngest has digestive issues. I have been giving the Zesty Paws Aller-Immune Mini Bites to my 3-year old Boston Terrier. She historically has had some kind of skin allergies bothering her for her whole life. My girl has had bad allergies since I moved to Texas. Mainly skin allergies. She’s about 80lbs and she’s 12. She was taking apaquil daily and it worked however it’s expensive but not only that taking long term allergy meds can actually put her at higher risk of yeast or other fungal skin infections. So that’s why I started this as an alternative. I wasn’t actually expecting to be able to not need the apaquil at all so hats a great surprise. My chihuahua Rebel is 13 years old and has been sneezing, scratching and had watery alot lately. I saw this product online when I was buying his water additive and figured I'd give it a try. Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. I was a little concerned with just how many products they carry all looking the same but yet with a different label. So I contacted the company asking them if they did a third-party independent lab analysis on all of their products and I was happy to hear that they said they did. But then when I asked if those results were available to the public they told me no. Why would you do a third-party independent lab on your products and then not allow the public to request a copy or post them. As with human supplements, animal supplements are not regulated like human products. These companies can get away with putting just about anything they want in a jar and slapping a label on it telling you whatever they want is in the product. I ordered 3 jars of the Allergy Immunity chews and 1 jar of the Allergy Skin Health. dog would not eat the chews. They smell awful and they must have tasted exactly like they smelled because he spit them out every time I gave him a chew. I even tried masking the taste with peanut butter, but he licked the peanut butter off and left the chew. The only way I could get him to eat the chew is if I wrapped it in chicken, and sometimes he would eat the chicken and still spit out the chew. It was so frustrating. I emailed the company and told them the situation. They told me to send back the 2 unopened jars and to donate the open jars or throw them away. After sending back the unopened jars they said that they are only replacing 2 jars even though I purchased 4.
This ordeal has been frustrating.

My dog ate this willingly only twice. I've even dipped it meat juice & he will not eat it. If I crush it in his food he rejects the whole bowl. He is not picky at all. so these must taste pretty bad. They are very dry. no idea if they work or not, can't see results if he won't eat them. I can assume the ingredients are medicinal. I first wrote a review on this product after only about three weeks, and although his scratching and skin irratation still continued at that point, I stated his coat appeared better. Now after several months have gone by, I need to set the record straight. I have two rescue dogs found 2 months apart. One, no matter what I tried, just kept scratching and chewing at their skin. Vet sold me Vetoquinol and said to try this. My 7 year old Scottie has been to the vet for Cortizone shots every year for several years, plus I have used vet reccomended supplements, vet reccomended shampoos, plus every different type of flea and tick prventors, in trying to control his skin itching and hot spots. We changed his dog food to all natural (expensive) dog food, finally started making his food ourselves, trying beef, turkey, chicken, all with no change or relief. He has scratched and pulled his hair out every summer, with nothing helping except for the cortizone shot, and I am reluctant to give that to him, except almost as an emergency. My brother also has a Scottie 150 miles away from me, had the same issues with skin problems, and his vet recommended Aller g3, and he told me it has stopped his dog from itching and scratching. After a few weeks into the spring this year, his scratching stopped, his coat got black again instead of the reddish look, and he has had the best summer of his life.
